I didn't want to respond to your last post because I wanted the discussion to wait until NMS gets online. However, I will address it here in light of your last post. What was striking about your last post was that, at least from how I read it, it seemed like you and Tearstone tried to figure out the "city flavor of Lost Haven" on your own, without asking anyone. While I cannot remember whether you asked these questions yet in the OOC, if you had not done so, you should have (again, I cannot remember if you did or not). Those are the types of questions you should ask in the OOC. While I cannot really answer that question because all of my characters are located outside of Lost Haven, Nitemare Shape should be able to answer that question.

Again, when in doubt, ask us! We don't bite!

Alright, here's a few questions and no we’ve only came up with a few answers on our own. Mainly the city scene feels like Spider-Man’s New York to me and him. It's got that concrete jungle theme in the dirtier side of the neighborhood but more suburban in the more wealthier and cleaner neighbors, here any crime is more quiet and tucked away.

What and where are some of the landmarks or sighting seeing aspects of Lost Haven? Are any the wonders of the world listing type famous?

What are some hotspots known by locals? Where exactly, even a made up street, and which distract are they on?

Is there a common port city or area? Namely Racheli and Justine get a warehouse that's been remodeled into basically a two person place, might be ideal to put them in a bustling or commonly visited scene.

What are some of the political powers for the city? Who is the mayor and anything odd about his/er election that is public knowledge?

Where do the movie stars there live? If any?

When did Metahumans/supernatural/more start to show up? Lost Haven had to be a normal city at some point or did these elements always exist as they do now? How common is it for NPCs/civilians to be metas/supernatural/aliens? Is it like X-men where mutants are common enough to be feared or you have more chance of your hair catching fire then meeting one? Does it depend on what it is?

How have they affected the news, law enforcement or other aspect otherwise usually normal? Have rights for a meta altered from a normal human and in what fashion/degree? When someone shows symptoms of becoming a meta, are they suppose to be reported and are they arrested on sight?

What is the best or wealthiest neighbor and what is the worse one? Why and what districts are they located in?

What are some shops that are well known, where are they at and what are they known for?

Reading bits and pieces, has any alien technology discovered actually influenced the modern technology? Or is that only for the wealthy, similar to how Marvel handled it where only corporations/organizations had them and kept them complete secrets? Or MIB (Men in Black) where alien tech did advance human civilizations but it was done through a set up history, aka no one knows it? If the first option, how much and common is it?

@FacePunch already answered some of what the police department was like, which helps clear up and gives me a base to work with for that. Can't say Rach will like it when her powers start.

@VATROUGave me a lot to think about when it came to magic stuff, which I'm still slowly getting through. I have an idea for a Djinn which might be fun to create a 'variety' of it for a monster encounter one day.

Well maybe we could run a simple format and general rules about Lore. See if the idea does take off.

But off topic. Has anyone seen the Suicide Squad trailers? I'm not to thrilled about the movie but it could still surprise me..

Also Ash Vs the Evil Dead had it's season 1 finale. Has anyone here watched it? And what did you think of the show?

Fallen. I believe that there have always been metahumans to some degree but that they were much less common in the past then they are now. For example there were a decent number who came out of the woodwork in World War 2 but then there were less again. At least that was my understanding based on being the guy responsible for the WW2 metahuman stuff for the most part.

Can I take a few open suggestions from those present for something I'd like to add to my current arc? I'm having Marie get involved with the supernatural underground of Lost Haven, which I'm sure someone else has touched on but if not then my character will help flesh it out, and I wanted a little input as to the types of creatures she might run into in the next few posts. Any sort of mythical monster that you could imagine walking in disguise down the streets of Lost Haven, I just need a little inspiration in order to get my creativity flowing.

Well, the Shaman crowd that the Renores are involved in are generally found in mosh pits, metal concerts, and raves. So if you need to find a spirit, or need someone who can pierce the Veil without effort, go to one of those events.

My idea for Shamans is that, while powerful through contracts with spirits, they don't have as much raw magical ability within themselves. However, they can see beyond magical obfuscation, and into the Veil, the true nature of things.

As for the monster thing, maybe there are smaller groups of benign ones, and they act against the malevolent ones, while staying incognito?

Allaenna (Ally) Ranore- Uskri's spirited younger sister. With brown hair, and emerald eyes, the teenager stands at 5'1". She has bonded to only one spirit, a wind spirit named Askan.

Dathan Ranore- Uskri's younger. With black hair, the green eyes of the Ranore family, and a height of 6'2", Dathan is the perfect example of a friendly middle child. He has bonded to three spirits, one fire, one water, and one lightning.

Via Ranore- Uskri's mother. The elderly shaman is known for her kindness, but don't let this fool you. Underneath her tiny form, resonates pure power. She has black hair, with streaks of gray, and the typical green eyes of the Ranore.

There's always the Shroud Syndicate if you're looking to look into the criminal underground of Lost Haven. speaking of which, @Fallenreaper can you share some of the Lore you were sent? I'd like to see what lore was shaped out for the criminal underground, especially if I'm to make the Shroud Syndicate ingrained in the world's systems like it's supposed to be. Organized Crime doesn't work unless it's making a profit, and making a profit requires information, right?

@Fallenreaper I didn't name the mayor, but I mentioned a failed assassination attempt during the riots. So there's a potential story there. The only other person who might know would be @NeutralNexus. I seem to remember him mentioning some political figures meeting with the Cowl?
