It's okay, no Australian remembers the Rum Rebellion.

I mean it failed in the end, but nobody remembers it.

One simply walks into America and burns the Presidential Mansion to the ground.

True, true. We were feeling bad for 'em, so we let them have a symbolic victory before we had the real one.

The War of 1812: The war that America forgot.

The War of 1812: The war that America only grudgingly admits happened and doesn't like to talk about.

You're mistaken. American schools don't even teach that much. I knew about the War of 1812 from a documentary on the History Channel (back when the History Channel was actually good) and when I asked a teacher about it, they're only reply was, "I don't even know anything about it. It's probably not important."

Well, in context, it wasn't. The war was over Britain forcing us sailors to join the British navy cuz of the war with napoleon.. The US declared war, lost a lot, then started to win a bit, Britain defeated Napoleon, so they didn't even need to force people to join the british navy, so the US/Britain pretty much had little to fight for by the end of the war.

The only significant results were that the white house was burned, US felt independent from Britain now, The US said fuck we need a better army, Canadians pretend they were significant for once(kidding).

Honestly the only thing I would even see that was important to world/US history was that Canada decided fuck you USA we're not becoming a new state, and the war quite possibly prevented the US from annexing Canada.

I doubt also that Filipinos to know about the Novales Revolt, a chance in the early 19th century for the Philippines to become independent.

Eh I took APUSH in HS, comprehensive AF and I had good teachers. It just depends were in the US and/or the teacher. All of mine were exceptional.

@Prince of Seraphs

Canada forever holds that above their heads. 200 year's in the past be damned it was great.

Now I'm trying to think of something we Americans did to you Canadians...

...At the same time, being dual-nationalistic, I have minor resentment of the United States backstabbing my homeland on 1898 and making us into colony.

Well I know a lot of Americans resent Canada for giving us Justin Bieber. Other than that... um... Oh, we kicked Canada's ass in We Stand on Guard. Still need to read that series, looks really interesting.

Just finished watching Lazer Team. It was pretty frickin' funny. Definitely met my expectations. And we finally have a release date for Day 5. Been so long since that first trailer came out I almost forgot about it.

Also, stay after the credits for deleted scenes.
