Nathaniel sat beside Brad, although he had been silent for pretty much the entire class, quickly and furiously taking notes. Growing up, Nathaniel's teachers had already told him to take notes in his own words, but he didn't have time for that. Class was always moving, and he wasn't sure where it was moving, but it was moving, and he wanted to make sure he didn't miss anything. So the easiest thing for him to do, of course, is to just copy down whatever the teacher says or puts on the board without actually thinking about it.

He had quickly written down notes on the basic mechanics of Synchro Summoning, the monster card texts in the demonstration, even the rant on professional dueling. He was just about to start a new section labeled "Drugs" when he realized that the class had taken a rather unexpected turn.

This isn't going to be on the exam, is it?

Ryder was still busy with handing out speed spells and quickly scribbling details down, seemingly having to focus on those two things at the same time. Some boy named Steven Mercy turned out to be quite unlucky, receiving the Speed Spells Count Up, Special Hurricane and Final Destiny. You could only guess what kind of deck someone has to be running to deserve that fate. Soon after Mercy, Angelo asked a question. "Ah... Yeah, I've heard something about that. You're Angelo, then?" Ryder questioned. "Well, good timing. You're actually the next one on the list." the teacher said, beckoning the teen to get closer.

He handed over the speed spells, scribbling down some things all the while, and answered the question at the same time. "You actually... Have to ask either security personnel... Or me whenever you... Want to modify you Duel Runner... And we'll open the garage" they trailed off, only talking in short bursts because it asked quite a bit of concentration. "You'll be given... A new frame and parts... But won't be allowed to modify... An existing runner..." Ryder continued, then noticed he'd handed over all the Speed Spells Angelo needed. "Oh. Anyway, you can only modify it under supervision so we can make sure you don't start messing with other Duel Runners. We'll notify you when your parts arrive, alright." they finished, then waved their hand off to the side to signal Angelo needing to get changed.

Not too long after Angelo, both Camryn and Ignia got called over for their Speed Spells as well.

Wilhelms seemed to catch on to the fact he had trailed off, ending the conversation with a curt "Well, enough about that." and pretty much straight after, Brad asked his question. "Ah! Glad you asked." the teacher replied, picking up a black marker to write on the board. "Synchro monsters can only be summoned from the extra deck by Synchro Summon, but once out of the extra deck they are like any regular monster." they explained, while making a quick doodle on the board to showcase their point. Wilhelms used a tombstone to represent the grave, and showcased the Lightning warrior from before getting resurrected by Call of the Haunted.

"However, certain Synchro monsters specifically state they can not be summoned except by Synchro Summon. So, if they leave the field, they can't be summoned back again unless they return to your Extra Deck." the teacher finished the explanation, then put down the marker. "That should be enough on how to summon them, for now. Some Synchro monsters require a specific tuner, or would require a certain number of Synchro materials." Wilhelms continued with the lesson, and this time, didn't seem to get distracted. They continued on about specific clauses to Synchro monsters and when you can and can't summon one, thanks to Brad asking about it.

"Question teacher: If sent to the graveyard via spell effect or by battle wouldn't it be possible to special summon it back using call of the haunted or some other spell card." Andre asked bluntly as he tried his best to keep taking notes on the side. He figured it would be best to get all the stuff he could out into the open. It would be best to know what was and off the test. Of course things haven't always been so favorable to him in the testing zone. If he didn't get the technical side of things down, or at least the official side, then he wouldn't do so well. He could only pass tests if he KNEW the answer guessing...wasn't Andre's strong suit.

Megan gave a quiet sigh of relief when the muscle guy spoke up to get class back on topic. She was even more pleased when another student spoke and asked a question, then frowned. This had just been covered, once summoned treated like a ordinary monster unless the text stated could only be synchro summoned. Obviously someone hadn't been paying attention. "Mr. Whihelm already explained that the answer is yes." Megan said curtly to the student that had spoken up. She usually didn't get annoyed that easily but the teacher was talking about a specific area she wanted to know more about and she didn't want him to get sidetracked again, as it was it might be too late. Still she took advantage of the lapse in teaching to write some specifics on her notes for later. Could they look this stuff up on their D-cievers? That'd be very helpful.

Angelo looked over when the teacher said he was next on the list so Angelo went over to hear him explain the protocol for using the garage he said that Angelo wouldn't be allowed to modify an existing duel runner so that begged the question did he only mean the duel runner assigned to him or if he somehow got his duel runner here was he not allowed to modify it? Angelo decided not to ask the question since he didn't want the others to know that he had a duel runner back home yet. Angelo grabbed his cards looking them over thinking that most were useful for his deck type and others he couldn't understand having but Angelo will eventually figure it out. Angelo then went into the changing room to put on his suit and it was a little snug but it fit well, thankfully it was green so it had Angelo's favorite color on it. Once Angelo finished changed he started to put in the speed spells into his deck for when he would use them later on. If he was going to duel standard then he would need to take them out before they started. Angelo then stood by the garage waiting for their instructor to take them to the simulation area

Camryn was near the back of the crowd of students, idly admiring the Duel Runners that were parked nearby. Apparently the first person to get their Speed Spells was also the unluckiest; he had gotten exactly three, and all of them had to do with discarding. Camryn grimaced. If his cards were indicative of what everyone else's would be like, this class was going to be interesting. Upon hearing her name called, her head popped up, and she made her way through the crowd with many a muttered "Excuse me" and "Sorry." She took her Speed Spells gladly, and said to the teacher "Sorry about making fun of your Riding Suit, Mr. Cellrate. I honestly didn't know what it was." After his response to her apology, she left to find her changing booth, and discovered that it was waaaay at the end of the row, tucked into a corner. She went inside, and, thankful that the room wasn't all gross like so many other changing rooms she'd experienced, shut the door and started to change into her riding suit.

Ignia Nosfera

Ignia had hung her head in slight sadness when the lesson started as they would be a much much less chance of talking to her friend, Oh well the day was still young she would get the chance! Either way the lesson was starting and so Ignia moved to follow Ethel towards the teacher. The Tall thin man introduced themselfs as Ryder. It was as if the school quite literally read through the resumes of the applicants and picked people for their cool names rather then their skills. Oh well Ignia guessed maybe others had already picked up on that little tidbit but the teachers were probably still very much qualified anyway.

The Instructor the continued to explain the importance of a form-fitting riding suit that highlights all the areas. Other then safety it could be seen as slightly provocative, The Instructor then proceeded to open the Garage and let everyone inside. Revealing a duel runners and the changing room. She would grow to recognise this place like the back of her hand. still the Instructor continued to talk about both booth placement and the fact that they would only get to do a simulation. The latter of which made sense as getting on a duel runner with no experience and no autopilot is asking to get yourself killed. Still Ignia really wanted to actually get on a actual duel runner and go to town in a turbo duel. That would truly be one of the coolest things she would ever have done in her entire Life.

Of course the Instructor then had to go mention her name in order to exemplify the fact that she had just quite hastily transferred in due to the mistake she had made a few days ago. Still it was a necessary thing a teacher had to do. And it seemed she was in the guest booth for the first lesson or maybe first several lessons. And of Course Ethel was one of the first ones to go. 9/10 really had those first dibs on things, Though Ignia's perverted mind started the brainstorming process of girls in tight fitting Riding suits... That could be a very valuble bargaining tool. Shame she didn't have a camera or something. Ignias mouth drooled at the prospect of bargaining chips. The teacher was talking to some student while Ignia was in her self caused fantasy. Suddenly her name was called. Breaking Ignia from her self imposed reality which she had begun to enjoy.

Still wiping away the accumulated drool from the side of her mouth, Ignia stepped forward to grab her freebie speed spells. What was the gimmick with those anyway did playing them make you faster? was it a race? Ignia didn't really know, she wanted to do Turbo duelling because, Card games on motorcycles is both ridiculous and incredibly awesome. Ignia received her cards from Ryder and looked at their names as she walked towards the guest booth. Speed Spell - The End of the Storm, Speed Spell - Enemy Controller, Speed Spell - Magical mallet, Speed Spell - Shift down, Speed Spell - Summon Speeder and Speed Spell - Doriado's Blessing Those were the cards she received. The last of which made her smile a little bit as she stepped inside the guest booth , Dorado was a pretty cool looking card, Not the strongest card but definitely a cool card.

Ignia looked at the guest booth it was a little smaller then she expected but well their was size constraints if every student had their own individual changing room in the structure. But still She wished their was a little more space, glancing around the room more taking in any details, Ignia's eyes settled on a riding suit before she did anything else she was stepping over to it to examine the fabric and the design. It seemed to be mainly a Emerald green colour, with some parts being pine green with black being the colour of highlight and to bring out the boldness of the riding gear, all in all some pretty snazzy clothing it was. Ignia hanged it back up as she got undressed. Stripped down to what she referred to as the epicentre of a perverted fantasy, Still as perverted as Ignia is, she was one to dress as modestly as possible because she liked seeing others in revealing clothing didn't mean she liked seeing herself.

Ignia slipped on the Riding suit, twas a easy fit until she had to zip it up which is when she felt it suffocate her slightly. Twas almost like someone was strangling her. Though the sensation wore off after a few slightly scary moments. Neither the less Ignia checked herself out in the riding suit. Not the biggest fan of the accents of her fledging assists but still protection is a large concern then complete decency, plus the colours looked awesome. Ignia looked around the changing room seeing if their was any other part of the suit she missed. Spotting a pair of Dark Green and black riding gloves, The Gloves had a black strip stretching from the index and ring Finger to the base of the glove, so they matched the riding suit pretty good.

It seemed Ignia was done getting changed into her riding suit. She quickly moved onto the process of filtering out her Main decks spells with the speed spells, So it was basically the same process as before just with a few cards made specifically for turbo duels was it? Awesome. Ignia made one last look back through her deck to make sure she still had all her cards. Her eyes stopped on Doriado. "Don't fail me please" Ignia said to the Ritual card as she shuffled her deck now equipped with the speed spell cards. Her spell cards she tucked into the pocket of her clothes which she had put on the bench in a heap.

Did she need anything else? maybe a *shudder* hairpin? Probably not, they were probably going to wear helmets so She would be fine not pinning up her hair. The helmet would keep it down and out of her face. Ignia smiled and walked out with a glint of anticipation present in her eyes as she rejoined the people whom had already got changed in to their riding gear.

Vincent Gulfus

Tsukiko had walked away, but she had left a very sound impression in Vincent's mind It seemed she had regretted telling him her name, He didn't know why maybe Tsukiko had a run in with someone whom had a similar outlook on life? Either way the fact that they had left calling him a deranged person whom liked to toy with peoples minds actually got his brain ticking. He didn't care if the person was hateful or not but if they were feeling as lonely as her. well bitchy personality showed maybe someone should just try and talk to them. Either Vincent had something he needed to do after the lesson or well lessons. Plus the group of girls comments nearby didn't help.

Still the lesson began before he could actually put any more thought into the girl Destined to be consumed by darkness. Vincent watched as the teacher got distracted teaching them about Synchro summoning. He was just getting interested in the whole concept, well mainly how to stop the entire thing from happening so his monsters could plough the field. What he really wanted to know however was how to Xyz. He had picked up 3 Xyz cards from his large array of booster packs he only had a inkling of what he was supposed to do. It said it needed two monsters so did he tribute the ones needed or what? Also what the hell was a Xyz material? either way it was something he had to learn if he was going to use Lady Nox.

Still the lesson carried on and Vincent continued to note down little useful tidbits that came out of the teachers mouth. Still Vincent wondered more of what he was doign after the lesson the what he was actually doing in the lesson. It could be said the that his mind was simply in Chaos

"Miss Ikushirou! I would prefer it if you stopped causing noise complaints and took a seat. Classes are now in session." The man instructed, feeling that if he didn't start classes things might've gotten out of hand. Tsukiko let out a deep sight when she heard the teacher yell in her direction. What a major morale killer just to get yelled for having problems that almost made her want to go berserk and destroy something in front of her. She was totally blindsided by the teacher's remark toward her telling people to leave her alone that it almost made her jump out of her shoes. Chuckling could be heard behind at the time she got yelled until the teacher also reminded the other students to settle as well. All she wanted to do was sit in the back row where no one would recognize her and she was denied the opportunity since Vincent wouldn't just move out of the way for her. He had to make it difficult and add more pressure to her mind than she wanted. He was certainly an idiot at the time when he tried to get her to discuss her personal problems in front of a group. What kind of idiot would just vocally speak their most embarrassing problems which frustrate them beyond belief to other people?

"Why does he waste his time reasoning with a bunch of gossipers like them?" Tsukiko mumbled to herself when she looked back at Haas for a second realizing that he tried to confront the girls only to be shunned by an accusation of being her boyfriend. She thought the idea was absolutely preposterous since there is no way she'd ever date someone as clueless as Haas. Tsukiko knew better than to let those girls rattle her. She almost wanted to confront them for talking trash about her brother, but she knew it would instantly be frowned upon by not only her brother, also the teacher, himself. It's exactly what they wanted to do like a bunch of amateur bullies who just wanted to pick on people to make themselves feel better. They had no idea who she was or what exact society she came from so there was no reason for her to even show them any heed. As much as she wanted to gripe about getting yelled at by a teacher since it was uncommon for any girl to get yelled by a teacher from what she recalled, she just decided to remain silent.

When class started she heard the teacher talk about Synchro Summoning which was new to her since her brother never said anything about it. She wondered why because she recalled in the past he never even used it once. He used mostly Fusion and Xyz Summoning mixed in with some Pendulum Summoning, but why did he never use Synchro Summoning? She knew there had to be a reason that her brother never used it, but even if she asked him he wouldn't tell her anyway. Yeah, he was just that stubborn where he acted like no one else needed to know about what he was doing. It was all on this 'need to know basis' standard he set for himself like he was some high ranking official. It was natural for business types to be that way, but she never knew her brother to be so heartless that he just didn't give a damn. She then noticed that he wasn't in class and then wondered why he skipped out this class. It had to do something with why he never told her about Synchro Summoning, but no matter how hard she tried to search for an answer nothing actually came to her. In hindsight, it was like her brother was trying to hide something from her.

She decided to brush all those thoughts aside before the teacher thought she was spacing off. She already got yelled at once she wasn't about to let that happen again. She grabbed her notebook opening as she jotted down what the teacher was talking about in the form of cliff notes or simple reminders rather than writing everything out word for word. "Synchro Summoning requires a tuner monster and a monster's level that helps the equivalent equal the one that is being used out of the extra deck." Tsukiko mumbled to herself as she listened to the teacher further discuss Synchro Summoning. Alas, maybe there was something she could teach her brother after all other than to smile. But first I better learn to utilize it myself or I'd look like a horrible teacher trying to teach it to my brother. She thought herself as she stared downward so no one could see her at the time and smiled a little bit about the great thought she just had in her mind. She was hoping no one just saw the gloomy girl actually smile otherwise it might start an uproar in class which is what she wanted to by all means avoid. She turned her eyes back toward the teacher with the same expression as she came in with when she entered the class.

Ryder looked a little surprised at Camryn's apology, looking up from the suitcase of Speed Spells to lock eyes with her. "Well, yes, you didn't know. It's why I decided to explain it to everyone." he replied, then went back to the other students as soon as Camryn left. The rest of the students weren't all that interesting, most getting either a decent or bad haul much like Mercy from earlier. It seemed like the school tried to match the Speed Spells to the decks, but also gave inferior versions of cards in case there wasn't a direct match.

The students didn't waste much time either, not five minutes after the instructor gave out the last few Speed Spells everyone was already dressed and raring to go. Ryder had stood up and was leaning against the wall again, smiling at the enthusiasm. "Alright, everyone here?" they asked, and got a varying range of replies from the students. All of them were affirmative, though, so the man could easily go on with the lesson. "Great! Before we get into the simulation, I'll go over the various control mechanisms of a Duel Runner real quick." Ryder informed, and proceeded to do just that. For some reason, the lecture was hard to follow and you couldn't really catch any of it. It seemed like a passage of text making up some time discrepancy, and avoiding plotholes. "...And that's it!" snapped people out of their haze, the man having just finished the explanation. "Alright, let's go. That box-like room over there is the simulation area," the teacher pointed out. He also literally pointed towards it, raising up his right index finger to show an example.

Ryder proceeded to walk over, and slotted open the lock. "Alright. When you enter this room, you'll be in dim enough light to find the model Duel Runner. Start it up like I explained earlier, and proceed to try and clear the simulated course. You get three chances for it. I can monitor your progress from outside, so don't worry about that." the man lectured, giving off a faint smile. "Let's have Ethel go first, and then Angelo. The order from there will be Ignia, Camryn, Alex..." Ryder trailed off, listing off a bunch of names.
Wilhelms was peacefully continuing the lecture like they hadn't a care in the world. Andre seemed to ask a question, and Megan answered promptly. The Synchro teacher felt like elaborating for a bit, but then a sudden "AAAAAAAARGH!" sounded from the hallways next to the class room. "What in the world?!" Wilhelms cried out in response to the sudden scream. Not soon after, the double doors of the class room flew open alongside a member of the school security who had been flung through it. "What is the meaning of this?!" the teacher yelled in surprise, looking down at the black-suited and neatly combed man. Funnily enough, the same one that had greeted the students on the first day. They had an active Duel Disk on their arm, with an empty field and a lifepoint counter at 0. Their suit had tears in it and scrapes adorned the security's body.

"Ah, damn... Really? That was it...?" a female voice sounded from the other side, and a cloaked figure entered. Also on this person's right arm was a Duel Disk, though already deactivated. It wasn't folded yet, though, and seemed to have a blade-like design. A circular deck holder painted golden, shaped like a pommel, connected to a small hilt off to the right. Along the rest of the arm extended the actual card slots, starting off wide and then narrowing down for the final one. It didn't stick around for long though, suddenly withdrawing into the hilt to hide itself. "And who, are you?" Mr. Wilhelms asked, now a little more calm compared to before. They didn't seem to move an inch, which actually was a benefit due to them forming some form of wall between the mysterious woman and the students.

"Ah, shut it old guy." the female dismissed, then looked up at the various benches. Some people were scared, others fuming with anger. Others had to be restrained in order not to dash straight at her, even. The eyes weren't really visible, and neither was the hair really. One light pink lock of hair managed to slip underneath the hood, resting neatly to the left of the orange lipsticked mouth. They were actually pretty tall, though many more features couldn't really be discerned. Her gaze scanned all of the students, and even though her eyes couldn't be seen, some could still feel the mystery woman's gaze fixate on them. Vincent, Nathan and Leander in particular. A playful smirk crept across their lips, letting out a quick "...Interesting!" before returning to her calm demeanor.

"Oh right, don't mind me by the way. I was just testing a little something, is all~!" They playfully shared, suddenly the Duel Disk activating again. "Mystical Space Typhoon, activate." the woman shared, a sudden gale pinning anyone who tried to move to their seats, or in Wilhelm's case, to the floor. "Ta-Ta!" the woman announced her leave, and quickly turned tail to run. She didn't stand a chance against a class full of duelists, after all.

Mr. Wilhelms groaned when they finally regained mobility, and decided not to waste any time. As soon as the quick-play's effect wore off, they quickly pulled out their own D-Ceiver from their pocket. "Note to all security! We have a dangerous individual who's breached the academy. Watch out for a cloaked woman, tall stature, pink hair." Wilhelms announced, presumably over a line security was able to hear. They turned to the classroom. "I don't want any of you leaving your seats until the situation's res-" Wilhelms was about to instruct, then felt a rush of wind dashing past them. Someone had already left the classroom.
Ethel had to click her tongue as she was called forth to be the first driver, but didn't mind it all that much. She picked up a helmet from a nearby table, completely enclosed and a darker shade of her regular blue. Perfect, she figured. She squeezed it on her head, luckily it being the right size, and closed the windshield. "I'm ready." she informed Ryder, who nodded and opened the door. The girl took a step inside and could hear the door close behind her. On the other end of the wall, Students could see a hologram light up showing the current inside of the room. In the middle stood a bland frame of a D-Wheel, mounted into the ground and with various systems to allow it mobility. Ethel stumbled her way over to it, sat down, and then the entire room shifted.

The moment the girl made contact with the model, Solid Vision tech lit up underneath as the entire room shifted into the appearance of an outside track. It had a lot of curves and winding ways, as well as small walls off in the distance. Obviously it was just a hologram, but it seemed real to both Ethel and the outside room. Even the model had shifted to look like an actual Duel Runner... Ethel had to actually smile just ever so faintly. Three bars lit up inside the girls helmet, representing her chances to succeed. In front suddenly lit up a starting board, ten unlit bars marking the 'Race' being about to start. Ethel slid her hands over to the handlebars, watching as flashes of blue started lighting up one by one. When the tenth lit up and 'START' flashed up, Ethel got off to a perfect start. She kicked off the ground and bent forward, accelerating quickly over the track. She switched a few settings around for smoother sailing, and soon got to her first obstacle. It was a long turn, simple enough to clear, and so she did without issue. The second one was a little trickier, slippery oil stains marring a slightly curving road. Ethel didn't manage to get past this one, catching some oil on her wheels. By the time the next corner was around, the girl had to wince as she spun out due to the slippery wheels.

"Damn it!" Ethel cried out in frustration as one try flickered out on her helmet and the entire thing reset back to the start. The second round started up and mostly went the same, but she failed on the same hurdle once more. By the time the third rolled around, Ethel had managed to get past that tricky course but wasn't out of the woods yet. The runner passed through some sort of magnetic field, and Ethel could feel her body getting more sluggish and the device more heavy. Great. They worsened the handling. Ethel figured, as she cleared the next few corners with ease. It seemed she had steering around those under control for the most part. The next obstacle was five small walls placed in a zig-zag shape, and unfortunately, Ethel crashed right in and failed her test. "Argh!" she cried out in frustration, the room turning dark again and Ethel's try running out. "Good job! You did well for your first time riding. Angelo's the next one to try." she could hear Ryder announce over the other side. Ethel groaned and dismounted her vehicle, taking off her helmet and going back through the door. She shot Angelo a glance as she exited, then let out a cold: "Put up or shut up." in his direction. Hell, Ethel even had a scornful look on her face as she said it.
Haas felt the wind rushing past as he dashed down the stairs. That woman couldn't have gone far. He felt a little sorry for leaving Wilhelms like that, but who the hell knows what that woman could do if she were to roam around freely?! It's pretty obvious what she did to that security personnel, and others could get hurt as well... By the time he realized it, Haas had dashed down all the way to the first of the recreational areas he could find. It was a long shot, but maybe she was in there... Bursting out of the stairwell, Haas quickly surveyed the area. He was in the library, and security flooded the place with no sign of the woman in sight. Clearly it was the wrong way, so Haas dashed back in before anyone took notice of him and proceeded to scan the rest of the floors in hope to find them.

Angelo smiled when the teacher finally said that they would be starting but first the teacher decided to explain the mechanics of a duel runner and that's when Angelo tuned out and when he finally said and that's it Angelo got back to reality. He really didn't need any instructions after all he knew how to ride a runner. Then Angelo was told he would be going after Ethel and he watched the simulation to see how it would be and it seemed normal obstacles the oil then the hard turns and the worsened handling. That was Ethel's 3 tries then Angelo smiled as he was told to go in and when he passed Ethel she told Angelo "put up or shut up" and already Angelo could feel some excitement with some pressure to show up Ethel.

Once he got into the simulator he smiled as he got the view like Ethel did the 3 bars indicating his chances and the 10 bars showing when he would start the simulation. Angelo got ready taking a breath and waiting as that final light then as it said start Angelo grinned and went giving the same perfect start that Ethel did. As the first turn came Angelo was able to do the turn easily leaning into his turn as the end came then the next obstacle was about to come up and it was going to be the oil slick this would be difficult for him. Angelo did his best to avoid the oil but as the turn came Angelo leaned into his turn but it was by to much and he ended up crashing "well damn" Angelo said with a laugh enjoying this then as the simulation started back up again Angelo went through the turn this time and when the next obstacle came Angelo felt himself get sluggish and the gear got heavier Alright here we go." Angelo said as he went through the next few turns a little close almost ready to crash but he held it together and soon the Zig zag's came up but back in Angelo old home their was a street a lot like this with a lot of twists and turns. Angelo remembered back then how he sucked at it at first then Angelo went through the obstacle. Already he got farther then Ethel in the track but obviously it wasn't over.

As Angelo went past that obstacle the next one was a broken road with bumps and cracks ready to trip Angelo over. Angelo did his best to avoid each pot hole and crack but his tail wheel hit a pot hole and Angelo crashed again loosing another chance on his tries. This was Angelo 3rd and final chance as he got back on and went on with it. Angelo was able to barely contain the runner simulation as he got past the pot holes then after that was a rocky road like one would find in the forest rocks and pebbles everywhere and Angelo was able to last a little more before he made his final crash and stopped. Angelo then got out and waited for the next guy to show up but he looked up to Ethel no doubt watched and gave her a wink and a smile letting her know that he could do it.

One of the students had asked a question, only to be promptly cut off as Megan explained that the answer was already given. Nathaniel gave a small snicker, but it seemed like the professor was about to elaborate on this point further. As Nathaniel picked up his pencil and prepared to transcribe more notes onto the notebook in front of him, suddenly everything hit the fan.

First a scream, then a man came tumbling through the doors. At first, Nathaniel thought it was just another student who, late to class, rushed to the classroom and tripped. But upon closer examination, he saw that the man was no student. He was older, and dressed differently. In fact, he was dressed like a member of the school security. What's more, the man looked hurt. Badly hurt. Even from his seat, Nathaniel could tell that the man had taken a beating. He was about to get up from his seat and check to see if he was okay when the situation escalated further.

Someone else entered the room. A woman, clad in a cloak that obscured her face. The woman had on a Duel Disk, and Nathaniel could tell just by looking at it that it was definitely not standard school issue. Judging by the fact that the man unconscious on the ground has his Disk out in a similar fashion, it was pretty obvious that it was the woman who did this to him. They seemed to have dueled, with her emerging the victor, but Nathaniel had never seen someone come out of a duel that bad outside of freak Action Duel accidents.

Tensions were high, but Nathaniel elected not to leave his seat after all. This woman was dangerous, and if Nathaniel got up, it would just make the professor's job harder, which was to protect them. Above all else, Nathaniel was scared. The woman had just taken out a member of security, which meant he probably stood no chance. Nathaniel swallowed the thought with difficulty, and then it happened. The woman had given a cursory scan of the students of the classroom, but she seemed to linger on Nathaniel. Nathaniel was hoping against hope that he was wrong, and that she had looked at Brad beside him instead, who was physically stronger and more imposing. But he knew that whoever this woman was, even for a brief while, she had focused on him for some reason. Even under the shadows of her cloak, their eyes had met, and that was never a good sign.

Cold sweat dripped from his brow, and his eyes went wide as the woman activated her Duel Disk once more.

"Mystical Space Typhoon, activate."

Nathaniel wasn't sure what he was supposed to be expecting, but he braced himself anyway. Soon, a powerful gale enveloped the classroom, pinning everyone down. Everyone, except for the woman, who swiftly left the room, somehow unfazed by the storm raging around her.

Nnng! How?! She just activated her Duel Disk! The only way Solid Vision can have mass is in an Action Duel! There's no way Solid Vision can be real! So how?!

The storm passed eventually, but before Nathaniel could get a chance to catch his breath, he heard the sound of a chair scraping behind him. He turned to see Haas darting towards the door before Mr. Wilhelms could even finish contacting security.

"Haas! Wait!" Nathaniel cried to no avail. The boy was out the door in a matter of seconds. Nathaniel slammed his palms down on the table in frustration, but also to quell the fear immobilizing his body. He stood up from his seat and rushed to the unconscious security member. He dropped to his knees beside him, but thanks to the adrenaline coursing through his body, he felt no pain. He held a finger to the man's neck, then lowered his ear to the man's mouth. Still alive.

Nathaniel quickly looked up at Mr. Wilhelms. "Quick, Mr. Wilhelms! Call the nurse!"

Shinrei had been interrogating a person who was involved with his father when he felt a rather sickening sensation inside her body for a moment like he was being imploded. He managed to get at least two important factors which were Hayato's father's last name which was Yagami and another name who was supposed to be the family that Ryuji's killer was related to known as Takabashi. He had run-ins in the past with the Takabashi family when they were causing him havoc being paid by his father to do so. His associates and the old man were looking at him asking him what was up when he said he needed to return to the Duel Tower immediately, but he wouldn't give them a reason why. They looked at him strangely, but nodded as one of his men took the snake of his father's company into custody and put him in the black car that he came in then drove off. Shinrei got back in the limousine with the old man he had accompanied as he told the driver to drive as fast as he can back to the Duel Tower. The driver heeded his command as they stepped on the gas and they were off from the abandoned building heading straight back to Duel Tower.

Tsukiko felt an eerie feeling in the air, but it was just a little bit too late when a cloaked individual came into the classroom then started to cause havoc. Right before she used her Mystical Space Typhoon, Tsukiko reached down concentrating herself and flung her Void Dragon card at the suspect, but the card veered off course and missed her landing by the teacher's desk. She was about to go after the card when she felt a force preventing her from doing so. She also missed getting her hand with her card which was an old card trick her brother showed her and she failed at imitating it. The flipside was at least she wouldn't have to hear the girls talk about her for awhile. This new appearance would give them something else to gossip about. "Dammit, I missed with that card. Since my brother isn't here we cannot stop her from doing that. He just picked the perfect time to ditch class... my luck... could it get any worse today?" Tsukiko question as she complained about how bad her day was going and this new incident didn't certainly add any alleviation to the tension she was already feeling. Nothing she could do at the moment since the damn card's effect was pinning her to her seat. Thanks to rigorous training from her ruthless father she didn't really feel anything from the card despite its force binding her other than the uneasiness from the wicked intent of that woman who just ran into the classroom randomly like she was provoking someone to chase her. What was this? Cat and mouse now?

Tsukiko decided to stand up after the aftermath was over as she sighed in relief. This was certainly no time to sit idly and let someone like that roam around the building. When she went to pick up her card that landed on the floor she saw Haas go in pursuit of that woman. "What is he doing? Is he that stupid? That woman really means business. If my brother were here..." She paused for a moment as she reached down onto the floor grabbed her Void Dragon and returned it to her deck in her duel disk sliding it back into her deck. "Hey wait!" Tsukiko called out to Haas a bit alarmed he would just go after someone like that recklessly. Her attitude had shifted for a moment into one that was a bit concerned in regard to safety for all the others. She noticed Haas didn't hear a word she said as he hurried out of the classroom. "Dammit!" She said as she pounded her fist into the floor still knelt down from picking her card in anger. She didn't want to get mixed up in other people's problems and didn't want to trust anyone at the moment, but after what had just transpired in the classroom she had no choice but adhere to the gravity of the situation.

"Could it be like..." Tsukiko questioned as she pulled her fist back up toward her side after pounding it once into the ground in anger. She could not believe that someone so vile would be so reckless and not have any regard for anyone's life other than their own. Despite the fact Tsukiko didn't care if her life ended, she still was furious that the woman endangered the lives of others for her own personal amusement. She remembered that she used a card to bind people to their seats and wondered if that was similar to when her brother when he used cards in the World Tournament to hurt people with. She could still remember that vicious look on his face like he was going to destroy anything and everything that stood in his way.

"I have some questions for that woman myself!" Tsukiko stated as she immediately ran out of the classroom in pursuit of Haas not hearing what the teacher just said about not leaving the classroom. She was still battling emotions inside her mind which raged rampantly making it very hard for her to think since there was a lot of nostalgia about what had just transpired a moment ago. A lot of memories that she would rather just forget and some of them of her father who made her angry to even think about. Her mind was a wreck and now her day certainly wasn't getting any better. Well, at least nothing could get any worse right now since about everything bad had already happened. She knew that the security guard was hurt, but finding that woman took top priority. Still she hesitated about going after her since she thought it would do nothing for her in the end. There was really no personal gain from finding that woman and she didn't understand why she cared so much about it anyway? Not like anyone had done anything for her so why should she do something for other people? It was eating at her mind as she finally stepped out of the entrance of the classroom.

When she was finally in the hallway where she noticed both the woman and Haas were nowhere in sight. Unfortunately, since the building was so large she could be anywhere and she also remembered that this was no ordinary duelist, because they successfully took out a security guard which meant they must have been around her brother's level. Regrettably again, her brother was nowhere in sight and he didn't even think to tell her where he was going. It was just like him to himself from others to prevent them from getting involved in his affairs. "Curses, that woman could have gone anywhere! Also it doesn't help some fool decided to take her bait like an oblivious moron." Tsukiko whined as she was not happy with how things had ended up. She didn't know why she cared so much anyway? It wasn't like catching this woman would do her any good if she could even do that. Knowing that woman, like she speculated was probably as good as her brother was. If that was the case her dueling spirit would be quite overwhelming for an ordinary duelist and she was still learning how everything was done. She leaned up against the wall once again wondering if it was really worth it to go after that woman in the first place. Not like it would benefit her in anyway if she did go after her, but the fact she was so ruthless like her father pissed her off. She closed her eyes as she continued to lean up against the wall outside the class room pondering what she should do.

Megan suppressed a growl as she clung to her desk and carefully held onto her notebook. Who did this women think she was? Somehow activating a card that appeared to be outside of a solid vision field, beating a security guard, ruining her learning? Honestly the class was probably ruined for at least the whole day, certainly until the women was caught. Megan rose from her seat, roughly jostling it and ran outside after the student that had already left and the women. Megan felt a brief moment of guilt for leaving the security guard behind but Nate was on it. Megan tore out of the classroom and ran to the stairs glancing down and above. The heck did this women go? Well she had to be somewhere and doubtless any meaningful learning couldn't happen until she was gone. Besides, her disk was built for running around right? "Ready or not, here I come!" Megan shouted and ran upwards, checking floors as best she could and alternating between listening and looking.

Maisy was taking actually pretty detailed notes once class actually started, even drawing a pretty good doodle of Professor Wilhelm's shiny head in when he went off on his tirade about "Them Kids these days and their Pokeymans and Marijuana toke packs", but was more than glad to abandon her margin-filling doodle to get back to the notes. She figured today of all days would be the best to try and learn as much as she could since...well...Synchros were her favorite. There was just something...super duper cool about two or more monsters all combining something about themselves into something greater, something different than themselves. Sure, Fusion was literally them combining, but where was the BIG GIANT GREEN RINGS TURNING A PILE OF ROCKS INTO A GENOCIDE DRAGON!? Smiling contently despite how much snappiness there was in the air from everyone being kinda un-excellent to each other, Maisy's ears perked up when she heard the scream, spinning around in her chair, about to get up and run to see what was going on until...oh boy. Stuff was happening.

Watching in a mix of fear and intrigue, she slowly scooted back in her chair. This was getting a liiiiitle crazy...But the teacher could step up and handle this, right? Adults could deal with this no problem, right? Nope. Nobody would be able to reason with someone wearing lipstick THAT tacky. And then the tacky lipstick lady somehow used a card like it was magic, wind picking up like they'd just been tossed inside a tornado. Holding onto the desk, Maisy waited for it to pass and...her head felt lighter. Looking up slowly her eyes went wide with horror. Her hate! The bitch's tornado just nabbed her cap! Spotting it flying out of the room, Maisy glowered at the door and chased after it, looking just a little pissed off as she jumped over the injured guy. "No, wait, come back! Haaaaat~!" she shouted, figuring that they were pretty safe if the lady was just running away. Besides, someone'd already run after her. Then another. Then another. Then another. Each one going past Maisy and...THEIR WIND WAS PUSHING HER HAT FURTHER AWAY! Exhaling sharply, Maisy started picking up the pace, figuring there'd be no way she'd get her hat back if she didn't book it. Passing by Tsukiko, she said: "'Scuze me, sorry!" as she had almost tripped over her feet as she ran.

Andre simply watched the event unfold before his eyes. Somehow, someway, something just went down outside. He felt the wind happen and he saw a couple students rush out of the room as a couple of dumb overzealous kids rushed out of the room disobeying the teacher's orders. Knowing what would come next Andre got up and walked over to his older brother who was sitting still in his seat oddly enough. It was clear he was a bit shaken but none the worse for wear. Ben looked up at Andre and the two made eye contact. There was a silent argument between the two. Those two brothers knew each other like the back of their hands. They knew what the other would say without saying it in this regard. Ben wanted to leave, to go and help find the culprit. Andre on the other hand was not in the mood too go chasing off after a possible terrorist. Ben was the first to actually speak up, "You know what's up right? You know I want to find out more about what just happened so what's your counterargument." Ben said as Andre looked at his brother and pointed at Henry who had been nervously twitching and shaking. "Your little boy over there is my argument. You're needed here. So sit down and shut up and stay put." Andre said bluntly as Ben looked over to Henry worried as he patted the kid on the shoulder reassuring him as Andre cracked his neck. "So I guess that means you going in my place?" Ben asked as Andre grunted. "An amusing idea Ben why should I risk my neck for some losers who I have no relation to? Not my problem. Not my mess. Security will sort it out." Andre simply stated as he marched back to his seat content that he had shut down his brother with his biggest weakness: his ties to his friends.

Vincent Gulfus

Vincent was still thinking things over when he was snapped out of it by a sudden human projectile being thrown through the door into the classroom, the guy was cut scratched and generally looking worse for wear, Vincent at first thought he got into a fight and lost. But the guy had a duel disk active meaning whatever transpired in that duel took literal effect in the real world. Like solid version accidents yet, how was that possible they weren't anywhere near the solid vision area. So by the by the entire thing was a curious spectacle in general. Then it seemed the person responsible for the human projectile just strolled right into the classroom.

Of course the most notable thing about this new arrival was her height and that GOD awful lipstick but that colour just looked disgusting, he wasn't a woman neither did he care for appearance much but that lipstick was disgusting. Even so the fact that they seemed to glance specifically in his direction as if he had done something that was of note was, quite literally, intriguing. Even so Vincent couldn't stand up in time to question the woman when she activated a real mystical space typhoon pinning everyone to their seats or unable to reach her as she ran. Of course some kids wanted to be a hero. Vincent watch the person he had sat next to get up and start running, were they trying to be a hero too? Not really it looked like they were aiming for their Hat. All this commotion and people running off by themselves, of course Vincent wanted in one the action so he stood up, Before chasing after Maisy to help catch the runaway hat. If he encountered the woman he was also prepared for both the best and worst situation. Best situation he won and had a witness. Worst situation he got his ass handed to him and had someone who could report his untimely death and his stupid heroic action. Still better then sitting down and missing out. Vincent ran past Tsukiko only mouthing you coming?" in side conversation as he continued to follow Maisy. After all it was dangerous to go alone.

Tsukiko was still having conflicted emotions about going. There really was no purpose in going and what would she gain from finding this woman anyway? Sure she was probably around the same dueling level as her brother, but she doubt she had anything to do with her past experiences. She didn't recall anyone from her past that matched the description of that woman's voice. She sounded like one of those kind that like to toy with people which did give her memories of when her father toyed with her mind to get the best out of her. Her father didn't give a damn about her though. He only cared about the dueling power she possessed that was handed down to her by her mother. The same ability that her brother possesses which he no longer uses anymore after that accident that happened a year ago.

That woman could be just as dangerous and Tsukiko already lost three months of her life due to her brother who accidentally robbed it away with a dangerous card he used that put her in a comatose state. That security guard was pretty badly wounded meaning that woman who dueled him meant business which is what she didn't understand why these other duelists were going after her. Dammit... Tsukiko thought to herself as she tried to shake off the memories that woman gave her of when she was watching the World Tournament when her brother was on the dueling stage. It was just so hard to believe that this woman did this for her own personal amusement and that sadistic attitude reminded her of the time her brother lost sight of himself in the past.

She sighed as she saw Maisy run out of the classroom in pursuit of that woman or was it her hat she was after? She did recall an object that flew out of the classroom which looked like a hat and the girl was certainly in a hurry to try to recover yelling the words hat all the while. Tsukiko wasn't going to do what Ethel did yesterday and trip her where she just let her pass without really giving it much thought. She also didn't let off a word as Maisy passed thinking she was just as foolish as Haas. "This is not my problem. I already lost three months of my life due to my brother becoming a rampant lunatic so why do I have to risk my life now? Not that it would matter since my life is meaningless in the end." Tsukiko said as she was very discouraged at the moment and still was being paralyzed by the mere thoughts of her past which prevented her from moving where she just turned her head toward her should and stared at the ground with a very cold lifeless look in her eyes.

She noticed Vincent passed by her and asked her if she was coming where she wanted to say no, but something inside her was preventing her from saying it. She sighed deeply as she decided she would accompany Vincent just this once. "Fine, I'll go with you. But only this once." Tsukiko said coldly as she finally decided to brush all her thoughts aside and accompanying Vincent who was apparently right behind Maisy and both were in pursuit of that woman. Still Tsukiko was unsure where she was in complete doubt as you could see the carefree look on her face which gave the impression that she didn't really care what happened.

She thought to herself as she followed Vincent completely confused by why she what was motivating her to follow Vincent in the first place. I wonder why he asked me to accompany him in the first place? He could have just ignored me and not said a word, but it's like he wanted me to come along yet I don't understand why. Was I wrong to say that he didn't care? That doesn't explain why he just ignored me like I wasn't even there. Not like I'm not used to that since my brother is a master at it. I'm just not sure I can trust anyone again... Tsukiko said to herself in her mind as she had a very confused yet cold look on her face which was still titled toward her shoulder where she stared at the floor while she followed Vincent. The girl looked like she didn't want anyone noticing how troubled she was right now so as she followed she didn't really give anyone a good glance at her gloomy face which looked like she was doomed for all her days. "Where do you think she went anyway? Maybe one of the students saw her go by which could give us hints toward where she went off to." Tsukiko questioned as she also surprisingly offered a suggestion toward the two which could help them both pinpoint the exact location of that woman. She also wondered if her brother was on his way back while she helped Vincent look for this woman. She never thought once she would be helping Vincent, but since sitting around doing nothing wouldn't accomplish anything and she was a little curious herself as she had a few questions for that woman she decided she would allow him to be accompanied by her just this once.

Leander had fallen asleep halfway through Mr. Wilhelm's "lecture" when he was suddenly woken up by a scream. Still half asleep, Leander raised his head from his arms, muttering, "What's happer-ning?" That question was quickly answered when someone was sent flying through the double doors. Now fully awake, Leander watched as a cloaked woman appeared, then played Mystical Space Typhoon. At once Leander felt the wind pinning him to his seat as the woman ran away. When the wind subsided, Leander was confused. He had absolutely no idea what just happened. What he did know was that it was AWESOME. He could have sworn he saw the woman looking at him too. Leander thought that if this was supposed to be an event or something, it was undoubtedly cool, aside from the guy on the ground.

Speaking of which, some students were already running after the woman, despite the teacher's warnings to do the exact opposite. Naturally, Leander followed them. He couldn't let the others have all the fun, after all. After a bit of running, Leander was soon close behind Vincent and Tsukiko.

Michelle was also confused as to what on earth was happening. One moment they were finally learning about Synchro Summoning and Synchro Monsters, the next this happened. Michelle was certain this was not part of the school curriculum. Unlike a few of the others, Michelle chose to listen to Mr. Wilhelm's warnings and stay in class, only walking over to the fallen security guy. Natheniel wanted Mr. Wilhelm to call for the nurse, which most likely meant the guy was still alive. Michelle looked around, wondering what she should do. It wasn't every day someone would just get attacked for seemingly no reason, and inside a school, no less.

Brad was glad. After getting the professor back on subject, the lesson was proceeding smoothly. Not to mention he was actually learning a lot from this. Maybe he would try and work Synchros into his deck somehow...

Of course, normality was in short supply at Duel Tower. The events tore through the classroom like a typhoon, mainly because a typhoon was actually involved. Fortunately, being from the South meant that sudden tornadoes were something Brad had dealt with before. Less fortunately, they were normally not in the same class as him. Barely avoiding getting knocked out by a flying chair, the large teen pushed himself off the floor to try and figure out the situation.

Nathaniel and the non-creepy girl from the principal's office were looking after the badly injured adult while a bunch of other students took it upon themselves to pursue the deadly assailant. With this in mind, Brad decided he finally had made up his mind about Nathaniel.

Running over to the downed security officer, he turned to the prof. "Which way to tha infirmary?" he asked, motioning to the other two to help put the older gentleman on his back. "Preferably a route in tha opposite direction as tha rest o' them."

Ignia Nosfera

Ignia finished watching Ethel have the first go (which if the simulation was the same throughout she took a large bullet for the rest of the entire group by revealing the first few hurdles), This was at least a good thing thing But Ignia could see Ethel's annoyance due to only getting three try's to do the simulation. Still she probably would do better then Ignia whom had pretty much no experience to driving a Duel runner in her life. Either way Angelo pushed ahead further then Ethel due to having prior knowledge of the course. So whos turn was it next other then Ignia the clueless person whom had only enthusiasm to prove for themselves. They had a friend whom could probably kill you via a stare a alone but Ignia was almost harmless. She could damage you reputation extremely easily but not hard you psychically in any way.

Either way Ignia stepped inside and sat down on the bike as the entire simulation began to start up, with the room bursting in colour. Three bars lit up inside Ignias helmet as they did in the people before her. She kicked off (not with a perfect start like her predecessors mind you but it was pretty good for someone whom was for all intensive purposes New to this entire driving process.) The first turn seemed a little easy probably because it was a introductory thing. The oil slick came up and Ignia thought that as long as she didn't lean to hard on the next turn the Oil slick wouldn't really affect her. Just keep straight and keep sailing, it was like a video game in that regard. So Ignia succeeded in besting the oil slick and the turns. Then the gear got heavy and Ignia had substantial difficulty adjusting to the new change in weight. She crashed on the next turn. Depleting on of her bars. "two tries left you can at least get a little further come on Ignia!" She said to herself as she tried again. Getting back to the increased Weight Ignia decided to use it to try and use it to her advantage. She got through the field and the sharp turns with relative Difficulty. Then she proceeded to fail massively at the zig-zag. How did she even go that tight around corners.

Ignia obviously had a lot to learn she was also slightly impatient. she moved a little too quick on the oil turn and made a turn too sharp. a mistake she instantly realised she made as the Duel runner slide and like a dying bird it crashed and stopped . The last bar depleted like a dying ember. Ignia left the Simulation, Not all high and mighty and not salty either. It was still kinda fun for her first simulated ride of a duel runner. "Well I did my best" She said as she returned to the group waiting for the next person to go. albeit a look of only slight annoyance at her own rush to try again.
