Took me a bit to work out where you we're pointing to, but yes, the link isn't something that I'm guessing would be used a lot.

Exactly. Few even realize that it's there.

BB Code tends not to appreciate being mixed together too thoroughly.

@Balance
You probably find that because the Img tag is within the BB framework, it's causing an error as the tag is now written as,
[hider=[img]sun.jpg[/img]] [/hider]

With the :sun just being a shortcut.

Not a major issue, but nice find!

EDIT: You can also see this by the fact that it's displaying the <HTML> tags instead

Protip: do not try to put BBCode inside of the brackets of even more BBCode. HTML, which BBCode is a simpler, safer "top layer" of, doesn't like it either.

On another note, I still get booted from RPG every time I close or restart the browser. Neither site or Firefox updating changed much there.

I'm at the point where I'm inclined to believe that this is an issue with your devices in particular and not the Guild itself. Have you tested it on other networks?

You might have to do an uninstall and go through the registry and remove all elements if Firefox before reinstalling. Firefox does have a funny way of ending up with weird errors occasionally as I remember several years ago it started swapping images for no particular reason, eg: a Smiley would become someones avatar (at the 100px x 100px size) and a signature image would condense down into the Smileys dimension and appear even in the page formatting. To say the least, it was one really weird bug.

Anyways a clean reinstall fixed that and maybe you'll have to do the same thing because this has been going on for a while now and I'm unaware of any others with the same issue.

Aye, we do agree with @LegendBegins... Seeing how nobody else has reported that issue.

That's usually a simple caching failure. I have seen/heard/read it occur on many sites (some more than others, depending on whether and how aggressively they force caching), on plenty of devices, on plenty of browsers. Hard refreshing often solves that.

As for reinstalling Firefox:
a) RPG is the only site to ever suffer from this issue.
b) It occurs on several devices.
c) I pretty much cannot afford to remove/reinstall the browser at the time being.

how is a remove/reinstall of browser unaffordable? Last time we checked, Firefox doesn't cost money...

And you can easily save up passwords and such for post-reinstall using the sync system.

Do it one device at a time. Maybe consider purging a few extensions if you've got a few you're not using much.

We've had strange issues too that were only solved by a fresh install. Sync brought back all the good stuff, so we didn't really lose anything (other than whatever the issue was)

At the moment a few friends and I are setting up a small zombie rp when the question got bought up about if it should be over PMs or on the forum. From the looks of it the role play will appear on the forum as it's easier to manage in the sub box.

The question I have is what if another category was added called "Private Roleplays" in both the main forum and the sub box. When you enter that forum the only RPs you'll see are the ones you've created/been added to, but it will allow a subscription so it doesn't have the chance of being forgotten/lost like in the Pm role plays.

The thought just popped up because I know what I'm like with PMs sometimes and if I was to enter a private rp I can guarantee I would forget to reply to it once in a while, or accidentally loose the message thread in one of my many folders.

We think that is essentially what our GLORIOUS LEADER has in mind with the eventual goal of pms with the join/leave functionality. Pms with tabs are also on the feature request list.

But subscription to a pm would perhaps be a nice feature in the meantime.

Yeah I was wondering initially about how a sub system would work on PMs, but if they are essentially threads, than it would probably follow the same rules for threads. I'm probably just used to VB forums as I've pretty much been exclusively on those until I came to the guild.

@Lunar, seems to work just fine for me on my desktop computer. Pressing the Chat link at the top of the page takes me to the chat, which works exactly as expected.
Maybe Mahz was doing some updates at the time, or maybe the problem is more specific.
