Hey, so this is my first time posting a request for a public/general roleplay on here. Let's hope that I get it right.

I'm wondering if there would be any interest in a Fallout-based roleplay? I know that offsite they were a big thing around the release of FO4, but now most of those roleplays have died out (as have the interest). So I've decided to try my luck on here, and see if anyone could be potentially interested.

I'm thinking that the game would take place sometime within the 2290's. For contrast, Fallout 3 took place in 2277, Fallout: New Vegas in 2281, and Fallout 4 in 2287. The setting is up for debate, though I'm thinking somewhere that hasn't been explored before. In part because this could result in a new environment to explore, but also because this means that we don't need to define canon for any of the main games. (Creative freedom for everyone.) Though having the roleplay be set in one of the games is not off the table by any means.

Characters could come in all shapes and forms. You wanna roleplay a Super Mutant Pyromaniac? Cool beans. Want to roleplay a mercenary who drinks way too much Nuka Cola? That's cool too. Of course, it would have to make sense in the context of the lore and world, but I'm not about the restrict anyone too harshly on what they want to play.

I would ask that you have some knowledge of the games though. I myself haven't played the first two games or Tactics, so I won't pretend to be an intense expert on all things Fallout. Though I would like to keep alive the lore that we've been given and to play things realistically. I have a pretty firm policy on character amour, and that IC actions have IC consequences.

So I think that about sums it up for now. I'd love to create an interesting plot with other Fallout fans! (This post will be updated with ideas/plots as they come.)

If we don't get anymore interest by this evening, then I'll start brainstorming some ideas with you guys. Here's a few questions to ponder:

• What kind of setting would you guys like to see? A place that is already in a game? A new one entirely? And if a new one, then where are you thinking?
• Factions, whether you'd like to see some canon factions (BoS, etc) come back, or have a totally new set of factions.
• Mechanics. How would you like this roleplay to run?
• Possibly character ideas, and what you'd be interested in playing.

Definitely have the Fallout setting take place in a big city. I like @ActRaiserTheReturned's idea about Fallout Quebec. I don't know of any famous landmarks in Quebec, however (Only mentioning this because I know people at Bethesda Game Studios love to make their game more immersive by adding well known statues, buildings, areas etc,).About the faction idea, personally, I feel like it would be nice to have some cannon factions tossed in with some non-cannon ones, such as BoS and The Children of Atom.

I personally would like to keep it in Boston.

I quite like the idea of a game that takes place when the Great Khans and the Followers of the Apocalypse are establishing themselves in Wyoming.

Interested. I'm onboard with the Fallout: Quebec idea, though I'm alright with it being anywhere in Canada. As for factions, I'm thinking it can start off with non-canon, small factions, and then maybe some (ex?)BoS and Enclave people come into the story, set up bases and gain followers for either side, and then that sparks people to expand and create their own factions, to be in the big leagues with the BoS and Enclave. There could possibly be some synths there, too? *shrugs*

When it comes to Fallout experience, I've only actually played Fallout 3, and I've no knowledge of the games prior to that one. I've heard small snippets about New Vegas, and watched plenty of play-throughs of Fallout 4, so particularly plentiful with knowledge in that area.

Also, I was playing around with GIMP bc I was bored, cooked up a quick Mounties flag, not intended for any use. Just an example of what I can do (for faction flags it can be minus the nametag and drop shadow, etc.):

Mounties
The Mounties rarely use mounts, thanks to the extinction of many species. But they are a semi-traditional Canadian branch of the military and law enforcement. They are trained in the use of both swords and fire arms, though more the latter. They resemble the New California Republic in their laws and organization, though they sometimes function as a mercenary group thanks to the Post-War Apocalyptic conditions of the world around them. Their organization controls Quebec few remaining fresh water sources and fresh water reserves, and thanks to the fresh water trade with Virginia, Quebec has experienced a sort of Renaissance in many areas of their culture, having the economic power to establish themselves as a major power in the wastelands, yet being not as prosperous as the Mojave nor as poor or low valued as nearly any other wasteland.

We should probably wait until we know what the setting is first. No use making a Canadian faction if the game ends up taking place in Texas.

I will have the OOC up today @Legion-114! (Also in regards of you wanting to play one of the 'scattered' members of what remains of the Enclave - I don't mind at all.)

Considering that most of us are on board with the Quebec/Canadian setting, I'm going to green-light it. I've only been in Quebec a few times myself, but I think it could definitely work as a setting. (Besides, as a Canadian myself I'd love to see the roleplay set in my home-country.)

I also love the idea of the Mounties faction. I feel like that would be a super cool idea!

In terms of canon-factions I'm thinking that there will definitely be reference to them, and some characters could originate from them. However I'd like to see more non-canon factions having a bigger role in the plot. The only canon faction that I'm going to definitely green-light for a role within the major setting is the Child of Atom Church. More or less because those crazies seem to be everywhere, and it might be neat to see how the cult adapts with the new environment.
