@The book of bad juju actually, I worded it wrong. In essence it is attacking the soul gem, but it isn't to destroy it.

You are right, that would be stupidly overpowered. The attack isn't to destroy the gem, but rather "cut it loose", shall we say.

Well. Considering I have no idea what happened after Monika became a Magical Girl, her biography kind of ends there...

1. If someone starts out with an attack on a Witch, or maybe starts out just having eliminated a Witch, I'd possibly place Monika just randomly somewhere in the vicinity to find.

2. If nobody attacks or destroys a Witch, I could envision that she would have fled from the Witch. After that, she'd find and stalk other Magical Girls, only revealing herself after confirming that "Yes, this is a person that could potentially treat me nicely"... or until she's discovered to be stalking said Magical Girl, in which case she either flees or stumbles. Haha.

Edit: ... Or that could already have happened and I simply join up with someone else at the start. Eh, that's a possibility. Otherwise, if she didn't find another Magical Girl for long enough, Monika would eventually be forced to hunt a Witch herself. So, well, I got multiple options.

Anyway, fourteen hours later and I'm basically done with the skillset, wish, and history edits for Kei (that bio gets longer and longer every damn time I tinker with it). I still have to touch up her personality, though. Will keep working on it.

This raises a really important point, actually. Having all the characters mill about without really knowing each other at the start of the roleplay tends to leave them to all gather up to the same place in a tangle, and while that has its merits, I think it might be worthwhile here for us to play who-knows-who (and how superficially) before we kick off so that the process of meeting feels a bit less chaotic. Having some prior connections between characters might also add a touch of depth to how relationships develop later.

I'm not sure quite how to go about it other than just slipping PMs to players whose writing style we find interesting based on their character sheets, though.

@Antarctic Termite that is a good point. Pre-existing relationships would deepen the roleplay experience.

Though, I can't tell who would know Megumi... I mean, magical girls who have been in Danzig for a while might of heard of a girl who had been killing them, but that's about it.

Unless someone wants to have known Yui, and then by extension Megumi (though it would require them to have been in Japan within the past 2 months).

Well I know for a fact that I want Julia to meet Monika for the ensuing clash of personality. But she could be in the same class as Carina and/or Touma, and even be friends with them.

Having prior knowledge of other magical girls in the area could be done, even if they havent met before i think. One can simply ask QB after all.

I feel like Kyubey would tell people there are other girls around but not give specifics unless pressed to do so.

And I'd be fine with Carina having gotten to know some of the PC's after she became a magical girl.
