@StarfallSorry for the three hour wait; i was feeling rather groggy, so i had to rest.
There's two characters i could use as an alternative to
Ijok; both are battle mages, with a blend of both keepaway and CQC abilities.
First one's name is Renko; he is a psychopath, easily stepping over another's life in pursuit of his own goals - this, in combinations with his egotistical demeanor, had got him into plenty trouble, Renko eventually turning renegade on the society he was raised in and becoming a wandering gun-for-hire. His main combat ability is the creation of ceramic growths: think of it as a cross between tree magic and earthbending, where he can influence the direction and speed in which the ceramic grows and from it into various constructs, but is unable to telekinetically manipulate it once it has formed. Obviously, it finds use the form of barriers, spikes, armor, weapons and et cetera; though there's one interesting detail that makes it a bit unique - the ceramic is slippery as hell, and while Renko has his ways of handling it, his opponent may not.
The other of his core abilities is shooting napalm. Simple as that, he can create endless amounts of napalm and launch it in a continious stream. Additionally, he can alter the mix to use it as a fast-burning fuel, if need be, and combine it with a cermaic nozzle to create a makeshift jetpack. These are his most notable abilities, which influence his fighting style; the rest are secondary, such as the almost obligatory superhuman physique and magical vision.
The other character is a cast-out too, but for different reasons: his homeworld was plagued by a malignant form of energy, and to remove its influence, the most powerful of the mages split it into pieces, which they trapped within their own bodies, and then they exiled themselves from the planet, each traveling in different directions, far away. Nurgen - that's his name - is a sonic mage, capable of manipulating mechanical waves, some long reaching and powerful enough to toss a car through the air, while others quickly dissipate, but vibrate at frequencies high enough to weld metal. The stronger of the waves come in bursts, while weaker ones can be sustained, creating a constant, non-lethal but crippling effect, to which Nurgen himself is immune.
His other major ability - two of them, as with Renko - stem from the aforementioned malignant energy. It wouldn't be entirely correct to actually call it an energy though, as it can be counted as the exact opposite: a vacuum, which sucks energy in; a sort of void. This allows him to drain magic, kinetic energy, heat and electrical currents; electromagnetic and gravitational fields are also affected, but to a much lesser degree, being of no consequence in combat. The closer he is to an object, the faster he drains its energy, direct contact with his body capable of lowering the temperature by several hundred degrees Celsius in a few seconds and draining enough kinetic energy to make a pistol shot bounce of the skin. He can also use this ability in projectile form, or spread it over an area, but its effects are lessened in these forms.
That should be it for the summaries; the character sheets themselves will provide slightly more information - though, seeing how quickly the tournament has started, i might have to be brief with them as well. :P
