I leave for one day and look at this! 11 people and clashes of words!? I always miss the fun.

In any case, @Shawdus, Engarde!

Sadly had to refrain from joining this, mostly due to having too much other stuff going on...

I must say, though, some of these potential matchups are looking pretty epic! I look forward to seeing how this goes down :)
(Also, wishing @Vordak best of luck)

@Vordak A brief rundown of characters would be stellar and if any of them catch my eye I'll pick them. If not we'll stick with Ijok. I sadly only have one character affiliated with Shin-Ra Incorporated.

@Starfall No. There are no necromancers or biomachinations in the campaign, as far as I know.

Anyways. I have precisely two sheets in postable condition right now - Cee, and Meteor. Meteor is worded scary as well, as I was brought up in the "talk the biggest game you possibly can in the sheet and scale back if you have to" school of writing profiles. As Meteor is explicitly capable of (limited) teleportation, she's disallowed by default.

Outside of that, all I have are old bad sheets that will never see the light of day again or a few options outside the desired power band of the tournament. Again, my last steady haunt was Roleplayer's Realm before it collapsed, and over there Cee would've counted as being in the lower end of the Medium power bracket. You learned to talk a very big game indeed at RR.

So unless someone's willing to accept a downscaled Meteor, Cee under a lot of Entropic Order penalty, or a waiting period, I'm likely out. Which will probably not sadden anyone involved at this point. Let me know either way, I suppose

Alright. I suppose I'll wait another hour or two before I just start randomly assigning opponents.

So far we have Divinity V Shawdus, and Vordak V Starfall.

@DLLYou can use whomever provided they can't tank everything, stop everything, and destroy everything. Word of the day is 'balance'. If you can edit either sheet into a lesser form that would be fine.

@ZorlockYour friend is more than welcome, even though we are officially two fighters over the limit xD. But this will be the last entrant.

@DLL
Meteor doesn't look so bad, actually. She is just really varied, which in itself isn't against rules. I just expect you to properly scale her for the tourney. Which just means be a good sport and dont try to become a psionic god or anything.

Edit:And obviously no teleportation.

@Gun I didn't expect this to start right away. I haven't slept since yesterday due to working night shift. We still have the 3 day posting limit right? I'm probably going to have to sleep before I engage in combat. x]

Seriously? Meteor's good to go?

...well all right then. Yes, she was always written with the intent of naturally scaling with the fight at hand. Heh, she just has to be ready to defend against invasions from things like biosuited Cthulhu-summoning Dick Nazis from Spaaaaace, so there's enough oomphf in her sheet to do that. I can omit her teleportation easily enough for the purposes of this endeavor.

As akin to Starfall: Enki, Star, Ev, and I are a unit, so we'd generally like to avoid fighting each other first-round. Beyond that, pairings don't matter. Whatever happens happens, and we'll see what that will be.

Well, meteor can't, on a review, mimic everything, blow up everything, have infinite lolenergy, have an indestructable body, nowhere near the raw damage-output and equipment. She also generally just has less powers as I'm looking at it. She's really just a flavor of the day psionic with some twists and turns.

I don't know who's left. Would like at least in the first round not hitting everet or dll. Doing that already somewhere else.

I guess in order to keep things copacetic I'll fight Ki, if he's ok with that. I know I said I'd like to leave it random but considering that a good portion of the tournament involves Sky's allies? I share the notion of preferring not to fight them in the first round. Heh x]

@Starfall

Sorry for the three hour wait; i was feeling rather groggy, so i had to rest.

There's two characters i could use as an alternative to Ijok; both are battle mages, with a blend of both keepaway and CQC abilities.

First one's name is Renko; he is a psychopath, easily stepping over another's life in pursuit of his own goals - this, in combinations with his egotistical demeanor, had got him into plenty trouble, Renko eventually turning renegade on the society he was raised in and becoming a wandering gun-for-hire. His main combat ability is the creation of ceramic growths: think of it as a cross between tree magic and earthbending, where he can influence the direction and speed in which the ceramic grows and from it into various constructs, but is unable to telekinetically manipulate it once it has formed. Obviously, it finds use the form of barriers, spikes, armor, weapons and et cetera; though there's one interesting detail that makes it a bit unique - the ceramic is slippery as hell, and while Renko has his ways of handling it, his opponent may not.

The other of his core abilities is shooting napalm. Simple as that, he can create endless amounts of napalm and launch it in a continious stream. Additionally, he can alter the mix to use it as a fast-burning fuel, if need be, and combine it with a cermaic nozzle to create a makeshift jetpack. These are his most notable abilities, which influence his fighting style; the rest are secondary, such as the almost obligatory superhuman physique and magical vision.

The other character is a cast-out too, but for different reasons: his homeworld was plagued by a malignant form of energy, and to remove its influence, the most powerful of the mages split it into pieces, which they trapped within their own bodies, and then they exiled themselves from the planet, each traveling in different directions, far away. Nurgen - that's his name - is a sonic mage, capable of manipulating mechanical waves, some long reaching and powerful enough to toss a car through the air, while others quickly dissipate, but vibrate at frequencies high enough to weld metal. The stronger of the waves come in bursts, while weaker ones can be sustained, creating a constant, non-lethal but crippling effect, to which Nurgen himself is immune.

His other major ability - two of them, as with Renko - stem from the aforementioned malignant energy. It wouldn't be entirely correct to actually call it an energy though, as it can be counted as the exact opposite: a vacuum, which sucks energy in; a sort of void. This allows him to drain magic, kinetic energy, heat and electrical currents; electromagnetic and gravitational fields are also affected, but to a much lesser degree, being of no consequence in combat. The closer he is to an object, the faster he drains its energy, direct contact with his body capable of lowering the temperature by several hundred degrees Celsius in a few seconds and draining enough kinetic energy to make a pistol shot bounce of the skin. He can also use this ability in projectile form, or spread it over an area, but its effects are lessened in these forms.

That should be it for the summaries; the character sheets themselves will provide slightly more information - though, seeing how quickly the tournament has started, i might have to be brief with them as well. :P
