@The book of bad juju you should see my primary role play besides this if you think this is a lot.

It hasn't even been up for a month and we're at over 3000 posts.

Ain't that right, Roy?

I'm just going to make a note. There is absolutely no reason for 12 year old Monika to know any other language than Polish, but I am going to use English as if language barriers were not a thing. Would be so troublesome otherwise.

I think it's been understood that if you're meant to understand what's being said, you'll write it in english.

That's what i was going to do with 'Milly, anyway

@The book of bad juju What I more meant is that I am not planning on keeping track of what language I am actually talking or what languages the different characters might know. Haha.

I think that's what i meant as well.

Also, bear in mind that as a polish citizen, Monika would have had education in a foreign language three times a week since she started primary school. If she's rich she might even have had private tutition in the subject to raise her grades even higher. Polish education has been high and thriving ever since King Stanislaw II introduced the idea of a ministry of education, that his people should know more then just working the fields and being serfs. Just a thought.

Read through that now. Yupp, I am definitely going to say "Monika was hiding in there. Now she's going to cry out in panic because someone's firing at something close to her."

@PlatinumSkink you know it's a familiar because of its magic patterns.

As seen when Kyoko goes to fight Octavia, she says it has a similar magic pattern to the Witch at the train station, and she could tell by using her soul gem.

We can assume then, that all Witches and Familiars (being split parts of a Witch) all have a certain magical patterns as well.

Given this, and that Familiars are weaker than Witches, we can guess that the magical pattern will be weaker as well.

@Vocab I'm aware of this. Thing is, I kind of feel most of the experienced girls should have been able to sense it, and it felt a little like you'd been given an advantage because you posted later than the others, and it felt a little... unfair... kinda... I am aware you have rather high experience, but still...

Edit: Eh, don't mind it. It was just a thought that occurred to me as I read it. Let's move on to brighter futures!

@PlatinumSkink It may seem like that, however, I wasn't really given much of a choice.

Cleo was having me rework a large portion of her abilities, and most of the time he wasn't on to review the changes...

I would've posted sooner, and then it wouldn't have been like that, buuuuut...

Things happen, unfortunately... ^_^

Edit: wait, wut..?

@PlatinumSkink
Julia did sense it, but she misinterpreted the pattern as a Witch since it was stronger than what she's used to, and the fact doesn't matter to her since she's gonna hunt both kinds with the same enthusiasm.

Alright. There.

Since I have no idea how the familiar or the labyrinth actually looks, I was really vague. I can edit my post if necessary.

Tell me if something was inexcusably not okay with my post. I just inserted myself where I imagined that I'd be. Haha.

And since Monika was "hidden", Frederica is not to blame for almost hitting me. I was just in the wrong place! XD

This is actually wrong. You just metagamed the information that nobody else had by posting later, so you could look cool.

Looking cool is important, though. So I forgive you~

To clarify: I clearly specified what was distinguishable about this "Witch" in my post. I did not mention that its magical signature was different, because it isn't.

@Lolita Complex actually, that all depends on the way we are viewing magic patterns here, but that's besides the point.

As I said, 'twas not my fault for the late post. I just used what I had at hand.

Though, wouldn't knowing magical patterns be something you should tell us when hunting Witches/Familiars? Anyone with experience would be able to tell the difference, so isn't it best to let people know beforehand to avoid this kind of thing?

I'd personally argue that every magical entity has it's own magical signature, even if only slightly different, or too similar to notice a difference.

Well, if the coGM says pigs fly, then all hail the Pigwaffe. Does it really matter?

To be honest they are sufficiently entitled to say witches and familiars cannot be distinguished. Maybe it is a special witch, or a clue. Or added spice.

@Vocab Just because you teleported in and checked the familiar's facebook status, doesn't mean you know any more than the other characters. If it were possible to distinguish this familiar from a witch, I would have said so in my first post, before other characters sensed it in the first place.

Because it's not, I only mentioned it afterwards.

Does this make sense? I'm trying to stay concise instead of ranting.
