Aella Lorraine Stedford

Half-Blood Hill & The Obstacle Tower ~ Camp Half-Blood

It had been a long trip… and that was putting it lightly. For the better part of three days it had been the same routine- get up, tend to Alcippe, get her back into the float, pile back into the jeep, drive for hours, stop somewhere for lunch, exercise the horse, put her back into the float, drive some more, stop for the night… and then it all started again. But today- today had finally been different. The moment they had gotten into New York, she’d been sure to ask that they stop at the beginning of the highway that ran through to long island- yeah it was going to take longer, but after the both of them had been cooped up for approximately the last forty-three hours… it was well worth the change of pace.

Pulling back gently though firmly upon the reigns to slow the pace as she drew closer to the top of hill that she now knew to be the entrance to the Greek camp, she steered her mare off slightly to the side, her balance never once seeming to waver on its back as the creature reluctantly came to a stop before shaking out its beautiful mane, the action causing the demigoddess to lean forward over the saddle, her hand softly gliding up and down the animals neck a few times in thanks and appreciation for getting her as far as she had. Leaving her life in Camp Jupiter behind had been easier than she had thought it was going to be- sure it meant leaving all her friends and those she cared about behind in her wake, but she’d made Nolan a promise… and she intended on keeping it, even though it meant uprooting her life and shipping herself off to Camp Half-Blood. Sitting up tall once more in the saddle as she turned her head back to the camp, her attention falling to glance back and forth between the other demigods milling about at their own pace and leisure- this place was so different to what she was used to… where were the uniforms..? Where was the structure..? It was going to take her a while to get used to living here…

Frowning slightly as the roaring sound of cheers and hollers floated up to her from somewhere within the camp, she turned her head and allowed her attention to slowly glide over the area in front of her- the camp looked… deserted. Completely empty, but from the sound that she could hear in the distance, she knew for a fact that wasn’t the case. Something was going on; some kind of event that had everyone on the edge of their seats, though whatever it was, she wasn’t completely sure. Deciding it better to just go on a head and find out for herself, she pressed onward, clicking her tongue a couple of times as she lightly pressed her heels into the side of her horse to once more gain its attention, she lightly flicked the reigns, urging the creature forward and down the hill to where she could hear the thrum of cheers and geers coming from; her eyes flicking about her person so that she could take in as much as she possibly could before finally, they settled upon the distant image of a large tower spinning back and forth, and campers packing the area tight as they tried their best to get a glimpse of what was going on.

Well… that was new. Frowning heavily with both slight confusion and curiosity, she once more urged her mare to move forward, following the path that was lined out for her to follow before eventually, she once again came to a complete stop, though this time it was a few feet away from what she could only assume was some kind of obstacle tower, the familiar sound of grunting and shouting mixed with the sight of campers dropping to the ground at the foot of it helping her to relax and calm her nerves, even just a little.

Furrowing her brows together for a few moments as she looked out at the small arena from where she sat upon the saddle, she leant herself forward just slightly, her hands lowering down in front of her for a few moments as she watched the scene unfolding before her eyes; it seemed like whatever this event was; it was now over. While others made their way back down the tower and over to the bleachers, two of the demigods who had been competing were still standing upon the structure, seemingly happy to be sitting up there talking between the both of them- by the Gods, the Grecian's were a weird lot… did they not have anything better to do than just stand around socializing..? Patting the horse lightly and rather affectionately against its neck a couple of times, she once again clicking her tongue and gently nudging her heels into her horse's sides, doing her best to ignore the stares and gaping from the other campers she passed by as she closed the gap between her and the group that seemed to be collecting together on the bleachers, her back straight and her head held high within her pride as she slowed the creature to a stop in front of them, “Father give me strength…”

Waiting in complete and utter silence until she had the attention of at least the majority of the group, she once more lowered her hands and the reigns down to the saddle in front of her, her dark purple Camp Jupiter top giving clear indication as to where she was from as her both intense and attention demanding dark eyes moved over their figures before finally, they settled upon the eyes of the guy she believed herself capable of getting along with the most; the cowboy’s presence helping her to feel at ease as she felt a gentle tug on her heart strings which only seemed to remind her of her home back in Texas.

Eli Julius King~ CHB: Obstacle Tower

“Well, well- look who finally decided to drag himself out of the smokehouse, and grace us all with his presence... I haven’t seen your ugly mug around for a while, Eli; so tell me, to what do this pleasure..?”

At first it caught Eli off guard, his plan at hiding in plain sight was foiled, quickly. Damn campers always congregating in one area, don't they know large groups will always be targeted. He turned his head to the neighboring seat she sat in, and a friendly smile grew across his face. Exhaling smoke in her direction, the aroma of cotton candy spreading within the group. His gaze smoothed over to the still rather large joint in his hand….

“ Demeter’s kids damn sure know how to cultivate, it's gotta be 40%” he stated admiring the cannabis qualities, before throwing his hand over his mouth to cough. He focused back on Erin and Syleste. Names, names were the first thing he had to learn again. It was done easily enough with the help from Charlie.

”Opposites attract right? My ugly mug was obviously drawn to your beautiful“.. Eli’s hand slowly began reaching for her cheek, almost close enough to caress before quickly moving it in front of her nose pointing ”Booger” his attempted laugh ended in a hoarse cough, beating his chest with his free hand. ”Don't go mining for imperial gold. No need to send your crusty minions to the depths of Tartarus. Chill. Chill. I'm joking fam. Just wanna try and put some pieces back together, today”. He explained taping on his temple. His playful gaze dropped from his face. If you could see his eyes, being his lids were extremely low, you could tell Eli was serious, his memory was top priority. Though he quickly shook the feeling off hearing the soft and timid voice.

”S-Sorry Eli... I-I’m sure she didn’t m-mean it-...”

Eli returned with a simple shrug. Syleste had enough attention on her with the big guy speaking in that southern accent.

”Afternoon everyone, hope I’m not intrudin’. Name’s Gabriel,” he noticed the broad shoulder male introduce himself. With Eli returning the head nod, hiding his frustration with the growing group. ”Eli”. The young demigod returned with a wave.

"Does my little Syleste have a crush on someone?"

For the love of Zues, was everyone working against him? Trying to get Syleste by herself would attract too much attention to her and himself. No matter how bad he wanted her to pick through his dreams, he could never get close enough to her without the fallen angel stepping in. ”Don't worry Sy, I know how hard it could be to raise a hellhound”! He joked playfully nudging Erin in her arm.

A few of the campers in the background covered their mouths to laugh as quietly as possible. He didn't pay any attention if the other in the group would do the same. So many people, though Eli was able to take everyone into account. Postures, tones in their voices, body language, etc. Never being left off guard, occasionally looking over his shoulders to see if anyone else were to approach from behind. His eyes locked on Matthew for a split moment, also a child of dreams. Though how useful could Matthew be in piecing his mind back together? He barely even saw the guy let alone knew he capabilities in the other realm. Even still he could be useful, any help was appreciated and he seemed capable. Never underestimate another demigod.

Obstacle Tower - Camp Half-Blood.

Elena looked over at Vanessa the other daughter of Hades Erin's half sister and smiled at her. "Hey Nessa." She said waving towards her friend before taking a step back from Erin in case she started to get annoyed with her for being so close to her. Then her attention was quickly turned towards Mathew, though it was more directed towards Syleste he just announced to her that he managed to make it into college which she was really happy for her friend. "That's great to hear Matt congrates on getting into college. I'm really happy for you, what are you going to be studying for?" She asked and started thinking of about applying to college, but she was really happy being here being with her friends and content with her life living at the camp.

Elena didn't know Gabriel all that well, but he seemed like a good guy, all she knew was that he was the son of Athena and from the sound of his accent he was from the southern states. "That's great to hear Gabe, I know you will get to like it here a lot in time and if you ever want to hang out come to my cabin, or if you are up for some sparing or a little competition let me know." Elena said and went to lean up against one of the seats looking over at Eli remembering he somehow had lost his memory while out on one of his quests that he was given and felt really bad for him but she laughed at his joke about Erin and nudging her but remained quiet and didn't say anything.

Just then Elena heard some hooves moving around and looked up seeing another redhead riding a horse into camp and heading over towards them. Elena eyed the new comer for a few seconds. Elena noticed that she wore a purple Camp Jupiter shirt and knew instantly where she was from, but wondered why someone from Camp Jupiter came all this way over here. Though Elena did know that she would be getting a new roommate pretty soon in her cabin. When she finally spoke up and asked that she was looking for her, Elena gently gave Syleste a gentle pat on the shoulder and approached Aella. "I'm Elena Reese, daughter of Ares." Elena said introducing herself and extended her hand towards Aella in a friendly manner. and was smiling at her.

Cabin Four And Obstacle Tower ~ Camp Half-Blood

Interacting With: Pretty Much Everyone

Jess had opted out of watching the Obstacle Tower today. Instead she was spending her time in Cabin Four, cleaning her part of the cabin and working on growing some roses for the Aphrodite kids. They always seemed to want flowers. She had blocked out the cheers of the others as she gently moved her hand over a pot of dirt. Slowly but surely, a small rosebush began to sprout, until Jess was holding a pot with a small bush of bright red flowers. She smiled at a job well done before placing the pot on her desk. The Aphrodite kids would be by in a bit to pick it up.

The cheers having subsided she made her way out to the arena where the tower was, planning on finding out who had won. She knew Charlie had been betting a bunch of the kids in Cabin 11 that he'd win, but she had a sneaking suspicion that he had lost a lot of money today. She figured if he had won she'd have heard his celebrating from her cozy little nook of Cabin 4.

As she entered the amphitheater, blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail, she spotted a girl in a purple t-shirt, mounted on a horse. The girl was speaking to a group of her friends and she made her way over to them. "Hey guys, did you all forget to tell Miss My Little Pony that the stables are that way?" she asked as she entered the group, wary of this newcomer.

Vanessa Casey

Obstacle Tower

"Hey Nessa." Elena was first to meet Vanessa, turning to her with a wave.
"Hey Elena," she greeted her friend returning Elena's wave with one of her own.
"Oh, Hey Van." Matthew was next to greet Vanessa, his eyes straying from the sky he was so intriguingly staring at to give her a small smile.

"Matthew," Vanessa greeted him simply with a respectable nod of her head. Before she could do or say anything else the voice of a young man who almost seemed to tower over Vanessa, although he was probably of an average height, many people at that camp did. Regardless he wasn't someone she recognised.

“Hello, my name’s Gabriel. A pleasure to meet you,” he greeted her with a wave.

"Nice to meet you Gabriel, the name's Vanessa." She replies giving him small tight-lipped smile. After almost 15 years in Mississippi you'd think one would at least get used to such an accent but it always seemed to rest in Vanessa's ears like curdled milk and the fact it was her voice didn't make it any better.

It was in all her contemplation a brunette sporting a purple shirt Vanessa identified to be of camp Juptier approached the group riding on top of a mare.

I’m looking for someone called Elena Reese- my name is Aella Lorraine Stedford... daughter of Mars.” At that Vanessa's eyes fell upon her friend

Mathew Cartelle
The obstacle Tower

With the arrival of the Mars girl the number of people continued it's increase. fidgeting he peered over to Elena "I'm going for a degree in psychology, theology, and literature, I'll tell you all about it later." He finished by nodding his head toward the girl on the horse.

Turning his attention back to Eli. The man was a sad specimen, ever sadder than Mathew himself, and that was saying something. His jokes weren't that funny, though Matt laughed awkwardly trying not to hurt Eli's feelings. He was probably high enough that it didn't matter how fake Matt's laugh sounded. Ruffling his hair back he tried to find the right words to say. 'Hey Eli, you know that stuffs awful for your brain right?' That would've been a good thing to say, or maybe not, Matt didn't say that it wouldn't have gone over well he thought.

unfortunately Eli just kept embarrassing himself. His comment about someones 'ugly mug' didn't sit well with Matt, It was kind of unclear who he was talking about but the fact that he could be next put him off. He could feel his heart speed up a bit as Eli continued talking, something about him was just off and making Mathew uncomfortable. Eli soon moved on to a different topic much to Mathew's pleasure.

Taking a breath he finally settled on what to say. "Hey Eli, I could help you out with your memory thing. I mean I'm not as good as Syl but... I mean..." He shrugged, honestly he hadn't planned what to say any further than that.

Charlie gave Vanessa a slight wave as she walked up, and gave a smirk as Eli told his joke. Eli still threw him off a little, ever since that quest. But he felt compelled to help him, seeing as how the other demigod had chosen him as one of his quest partners, and Charlie had totally let his memory get erased. So he'd helped him piece names back together. And while the Son of Athena didn't approve of Eli's use of cannabis to regain memories(Charlie held a distaste for anything that mellowed out your mind) he couldn't deny that it did seem to help.

Charlie turned his head at the sound of hooves, and suddenly he felt a very unfamiliar feeling. His brain just sort of, went fuzzy. Instead of all the thoughts that were constantly running through his head, everything focused in on the girl in a purple Camp Jupiter shirt riding towards him and his friends. Finally, as she arrived and asked for Elena, he snapped back to normal, although anyone could probably tell that he had lost his usual cool that came with being a demigod genius.

It's not that Charlie had never had a crush. He'd just never had a real crush. Sure, he'd thought some of the girls around camp were pretty, but he'd never really payed it much attention. He was far more wrapped up in his projects or some book that he wanted to read. A girlfriend had never really been a top priority in his life. Until this random girl from Camp Jupiter showed up and sent his brain reeling.

Aella Lorraine Stedford

The Obstacle Tower ~ Camp Half-Blood

So this was the woman that she was supposed to be living with during her time within the Grecian camp- her new half-sister of sorts; or at least, their fathers being counterparts of one another connected them in some way, depending on how you looked at it. Narrowing her dark eyes ever so slightly, she let her gaze flick up and down her figure; slight muscle… stronger than most others that she could see in the group... but then sloppily cared for when it came to toning. Though she couldn't tell whether it was due to not having a decent training partner, or whether it was just pure laziness? And... was that meant to be sarcasm, or a genuine welcome? Turning her gaze away from her after a few more moments of sizing her new cabin-mate up, she once more gave her full attention back down to the rest of the group that filled the space in front of her, taking her time to look each and every single one of them over before her gaze fell on the figure of a blond guy who seemed insistent on staring right back at her- the unintentional challenge throwing her just slightly, though she didn’t show it.

“Well then… seems as though we’ll be living together during my stay.”

What in the name of Pluto was wrong with this guy… didn’t he know better than to challenge someone he knew absolutely nothing about- but then she should have known better than to expect much from the Grecians of whom called this place home. He was small… weight wise anyway- not much muscle tone, and while holding the air of a warrior, he looked far from it; but there was something about him… No; she wasn’t here for things like love- how many times had it been drummed into her..? It was the number one rule at Camp Jupiter: never trust a Grecian. As soon as they had the chance, they would double cross, and stab you clear in the back. Clenching her jaw tightly for a moment at the very thought of her training, Aella tore her gaze away from him; the young demigoddess lifting her hands up from where they had been resting against the saddle, she straightened her back, gathering as much of her long ombre hair as she could before she tied it back into a high though messy bun, doing what she could to ignore the stray strands that fell down about her face as she leant forward once more, her attention instead shifting over to a new addition to the group as her jibe hit her ears.

"Hey guys, did you all forget to tell Miss My Little Pony that the stables are that way?"

”I don’t remember asking, because I didn’t want anyone to make a big fuss. I don’t need a welcoming committee, or some big long tour that’s going to waste both mine and the other person’s time. I am more than capable of finding my own way around this place. Besides; I’m only here because I made a promise, and I intend to keep it.” Narrowing her eyes at the blonde who was so obviously weary of her, Aella’s soft pink lips turned up into a small though still amused smirk- the girl was smart to be cautious… Unable to help the soft and quite oddly melodic chuckle that fell out through her lips, she let her dark gaze drop down to the creature in which she was still mounted, her head lightly shaking from side to side as she patted the horse gently and rather affectionately against its neck a couple of times; the daughter of Ares remaining silent and content for a few more minutes before she once more sat up, her back straight and her head held high within her pride as she let her attention turn once again down to the group in front of her, her Texan accent strong as she once more addressed the woman who had turned up to the party late.

“You’re smart… more so than some of others from what I’ve observed. Caution is your friend- if your gut is telling you to be weary of my presence… that’s great. Be sure to listen to it like a good little Grecian; because I can assure you that I am most definitely one to keep an eye on…” Chuckling once again, though this time slightly louder than before, Aella allowed her gaze to tear away from the girls figure so that she could once more look around the group; her smile fading only slightly as her attention was yet again drawn back to the blond guy… Seriously; what the hell was wrong with her..?

The Obstacle Tower ~ Camp Half-Blood

Elena looked back towards Mathew and smiled at him, she was really happy for her friend. "It sounds like a pretty interesting major, and I hope it works out really well for you as well." Then she turned to look over her shoulder seeing Jess walking up to the group that was quickly forming and couldn't help but laugh at her friend's comment to her half sister from Camp Jupiter. She turned to look up at Aella as she made her own comment back at Jess.

"How about I show you around the camp Aella, and we can get your horse all settled in how does that sound?" Elena said looking over towards her fiend Erin knowing that she was probably the one to actually show her around. "Hey Erin I know Mr. D was probably going to have you be the one to show Aella around, knowing that you hate being the tour guide I could show her around the place." Elena suggested and looked back up at Aella with a smile and then towards her friends. "I'll see you guys later alright, or just come swing by my cabin for anything." Elena waved goodbye to the rest of her friends as she started to leave the amphitheater.

Jayanti Soman

Obstacle course

The happenings at the obstacle tower brought a familiar competitive buzz flying through the ground and Jayanti was no exception. Jayanti had left the cabin counsellor's meeting not too long after Erin's dramatic exit and already the campers were in high spirits, cheering and shouting. Since she arrived at the stands that surrounded the obstacle tower Jayanti had spent the competition on her feet cheering for those nearing the top spot and shouting words of encouragement to those farther behind. There wasn't a child of Iris on the obstacle tower today, it wasn't the most common occurrence, nor was it the rariest. Every now and again Jayanti would have a go on it, more for fun then competition, but she never got too far. Not that she cared really. Today, however, Jayanti kept in the front row of the stand. The wooden bench useless as Jayanti opted to stand for the length of the competition, shouting and cheering and clapping.

Soon enough Hawley held the golden ring above his head and, as many did, Jayanti erupted into louder cheers as she made her way to the base of the tower where she congratulated demigod on their effort as they passed her, as she usually did, before she strolled over to a group of people, a few who had participated in the prior spectacle, a couple of camper in the Iris cabin, a handful of campers from elsewhere and slipped into their conversation with ease, looking right in her comfort zone, gesturing wildly with her arms, as she tended to do. The group conversed rather loudly, no topic was in mind as they chatted about trival things and often fit of laughter would spread through the group before they returned to their conversation.

Soon enough Jayanti bid them farewell and turned to see a small collection of a few of her other friends, joined by a woman who sat on a horse wearing a purple shirt. From her many years at camp half-blood Jayanti knew well enough that the purple shirt was one of Camp Jupiter but didn't know the woman on the horse, she was most likely a new camper, or visiting. Jayanti practically bounded up to the group in her long-legged strides.
"Hellooooooo," she cheerfully called out to the group. "How are we all on this beautiful morning.... or afternoon... or whatever time it is right now," Jayanti shrugged the slight frown that had formed at the end of that sentence quickly becoming her usual large goofy grin.

Lord Dionysus and Chiron

Also Featuring:
Ky' vie Morgan, Hawley Griffin, and Arianna Louise Watson

The Obstacle Tower ~ Camp Half-Blood

One minute, victory seemed imminent- and the next moment, it was gone... snatched out of her grasp by no less than the son of Hermes himself. The very thought of having lost to him of all people causing mixed feelings to rush through her; though she held no ill intent towards her best friend. Stooping her head ever so slightly, Ky’ vie shook it lightly from side to side, a gentle chuckle falling out and through her soft pink lips as she slowly lifted herself back up to her feet, taking only a few more moments to herself before finally, she lifted her gaze to once more rest upon his figure- well, if she was meant to be knocked from her throne, she was glad at least that it was him who had managed to finally do it.

Bending her knees lightly, she pushed herself up from where she stood on the platform below him, the ball of her foot pressing against the tower itself to give her the extra momentum she needed as she reached out and took a hold of the top platform; the young red-head using the strength within her arms to hoist herself up so that she was instead standing tall beside him, a bright and proud smile lighting up her features as she leant in, knocking her shoulder playfully up against his own in an attempt to get his attention.

“Who knew that out of everyone; you would be the one that I had to look out for... Haha- must have been due to that incentive I gave you this morning... So tell me; what am I losing from my collection today..?”

Griffin reveled in his victory with visible glee, saving a short word or quip for every congratulatory response he received. Finally turning towards Ky, the Irishman raised his brows most inquisitively at her reaction. "Suppose having the god of athletes as your father comes in handy." Griffin replied with a smirk before addressing her second question.

"That, my dear....remains to be seen. My oh my, so many goodies to choose from." Snickering, Griffin wiped a thin layer of sweat from his brow before dusting off his jacket, music still blaring from his earbuds. It was a wonder he could speak, let alone hear with them on...

Shaking her head softly from side to side in slight defeat, Ky couldn’t help the sweet and gentle chuckle that fell out through her lips, her hand reaching up and behind her head to let her hair out of the restraint the hair tie had over it; the long and bright apple red locks falling down to once more rest over her shoulders, “You... are going to be the death of my collection. Ah damn... I know I brought this one on myself-...”

“Miss Kylie Montgomery. I suggest you stumble your way back down here, and take a seat with the rest of these lazy lumps- I have the unfortunate pleasure of calling my camp to meeting, and I need all ears on us.” Frowning heavily as his voice filled the area calling all the campers to order, Dionysus stuffed his hands further down into his pockets, completely ignoring the small group of satyrs that hurried forward with cans of diet coke held high within their hands as an offering to the God.

“And you Mister Griffin... I expect you to do the same; but I assure you, you’re going to want to pay extra close attention to what it is that Chiron and I have to tell you all...”

Raising a single brow in inquisition, Griffin pulled out his earbuds before stuffing them in his jacket pockets for safe-keeping. "Tell you what, I dunno if I'm going deaf, but I could've sworn you pronounced my name correctly....Must be dire." Griffin noted but nevertheless followed Ky off the tower to an open seat, the glint of victory still ever-present in his bright eyes.

As Griffin moved off the tower, Chiron stepped forward, a look of soft apology clear on his creased, yet kind features. "What Lord Dionysus is trying to say is that we have received grave news from Olympus, and request your full attention for the time being." Pausing briefly for his words to settle and the murmurs of the campers to cease, Chiron continued.

"Aphrodite's Dove has been stolen from Olympus by an unknown miscreant. Understandably, the gods are in uproar at the crime...and Hawley Griffin has been accused by Lord Ares as the guilty party."

A wave of heightened whispers ran through the crowd of campers, many expressing disbelief, a small few agreeing with the accusation, and then some others (comprised mostly of Griffin's siblings) expressing awed reverence. Roy, himself slunk into the crowd, grabbed by one of the passing Satyrs as the Camp meeting was announced.

Griffin's own blood ran cold instantly, goosebumps forming on his skin, his posture stiffening to the point it might snap.

"Stealing from Aphrodite? The hell are they on up there! Bunch of all-mighty idiots that lot, blaming the first Hermes-kid they can because Luke gave them a thrashing back in the day, that's what!" Griffin ranted, his initial shock soon turning to vindictive anger at his accused transgressions.

"Mr. Griffin, control yourself!" Chiron rebuked, an added sternness to his voice that was able to silence an unruly individual far better than shouting would ever do.

"The gods have no proof that you were the thief, but insulting them will not do you any favors. Lord Zeus has decreed that you will have one week to find and return the Dove to Mount Olympus, wherein you will be acquitted of all indictments."

"And if I can't find the damn bird in a week?" Griffin asked, indignance clear in his voice...but a hint of panic could be heard beneath the surface.

"...Then you will be subject to the wrath of Lord Ares." Chiron responded quietly, bereavement quite heavy in his voice. Though he would certainly not voice such an opinion aloud, Chiron was no more angrier than Griffin was at the gods' decree. Camp Half-Blood was supposed to be a safe haven for young demigods to learn and to train. To hoist so mighty an accusation on one of the campers at the penalty of torture and destruction, Chiron could not fathom...

“..let me go in his place, Chiron.” Clenching her jaw for a few moments as she felt the stares of everyone around her fall upon her person, Ky’ vie took a moment to glance around at them all, her metallic silver-blue eyes meeting with each and every one of them before lingering on those of her best friend- it was clear that Griffin was rattled by such a turn of events; sure he could be a right pain in the ass, but everyone knew that apart from his pranks, he was just as harmless as Erin was.

Giving him a light nod of her head, Ky once more turned her attention back over to the God and the centaur that stood in front of the gathering of campers, “I’ll find the bird; and bring it back in the seven day limit-... there’s no way in Tartarus that I’m gunna let you take the rap for something you didn’t do, Grif.”

“As noble as your intentions might be Miss Kylie; that is something that I cannot allow... This quest is Mr Hawley’s burden to bare; and if he chooses to allow you to go with him, then so be it. The more of you lazy lumps I get rid of looking after, the better; nothing would please me more.” Seemingly not even bothered by, and completely choosing to ignore the obviously annoyed and frustrated look that he was getting from Chiron at his words, Dionysus paused for a moment to glance over the large crowd of campers that was spewn out all over the stands, his brows furrowing in slight confusion as he seemingly searched around for a figure he couldn’t see before him, “Wait a moment... all right you blighters, where’s my daughter..?”

“I’m here..!”

Twisting his upper body around as he heard the familiar sound of his daughters voice floating back their way from somewhere over near the obstacle tower, Dionysus quirked his brow in slight surprise as he watched the tower turn slowly around and around before his eyes, Arianna’s figure dragged lightly along with it as she hung upside down by her foot on one of the rope ladders that led to the first platform; her long and wavy blonde locks gently flying out to the side, and what was obviously an empty flask held in her hand as she continued to go along with the ride, her voice lost each time she disappeared around the back of the construct.

“It’s all good-... keep going and don’t-... mind me, I’m listen-.... ing- but before you-.... go any further-... does anyone have somet-... thing to drink..? Mine-... is empty...”

Chiron raised a single brow in intrigue with the slightest twinge of amusement. "Could someone please help Ms. Watson down from the Tower? Thank you." He asked with a short nod of his head as two Campers hurried down to help the ditzy daughter of Dionysus.

"Mr. Griffin, I know this news is highly shocking. But you must act immediately. You're allowed to recruit three campers to go with you on your journey - and you best begin packing immediately." With a grave nod of his head, Chiron conceded then to Griffin's judgement.

Griffin let out a deep sigh, though instead of boredom he appeared to be obviously stressed. "Alright, alright. Well," Griffin moved to stand, grunting slightly with the movement as he stretched out a moment. "Ky's a given. And, I'll take....Gabriel, and Jessica." Griffin finished after a brief reprieve of thought, planting both hands in his jacket pockets.

"Then it's decided!" Chiron spoke up, addressing the Camp as a whole now. "Undertaking the Quest for Aphrodite's Dove will be Hawley Griffin, Ky' vie Morgan, Gabriel Davidson, and Jessica Merrimont. If Lord Dionysus has nothing else, I suggest the Campers in question begin packing and finish any last-minute projects and activities."

Quirking his eyebrow slightly in amusement as he watched the two campers who had been called to help run after his daughter as she was spun round and around by the tower, Dionysus turned his back to the crowd, his arms coming up to cross over his chest as he let himself get distracted... but only long enough for Chiron to once more drag him back into the politics of camp, “Hm..? Oh, yes.”

Lifting one of his hands up from his side, Mr. D waved his hand dismissively at the thought while his head nodded up and down in agreement to whatever it was that Chiron had actually said, “Whatever... whatever’s fine with me; just let the brats get on their way already. Don’t waste the sunshine and all that other crap...”

Camp Half~Blood - Obstacle Tower

Interacting With: Hawley(@Ghost Shadow) Ky'vie(@Vicier)

Jess was stopped from replying to the new girl by the camp meeting that was suddenly called to order. She turned her head as Chiron and Mr.D called the camp to attention. She cocked her head as the two men spoke of Aphrodite's Dove, and her stomach dropped when they stated that Griffin was being accused. "What the hell?" she shouted, confused by the fact that Ares could blame a demi-god with no tie to Aphrodite or her stupid bird.

The biggest surprise however, was yet to come. When Mr. D and Chiron had given Griffin his choice of companions for the quest, Jess hadn't even considered that she could be picked. And yet, it seemed that she would be going along with Ky'vie, Griffin, and even the new Athena kid, Gabriel. She tapped her hands on her leg and couldn't help but smile. She loved the adventures that a quest brought, and this would be her first one in a year or so. She'd finally get the chance to use her bow again.

A grin plastered onto her face, Jess flipped her blonde hair over her shoulder and made her way towards Ky'vie and Griffin. When she reached the pair she patted the Son of Hermes' shoulder, and gave him a comforting look. "You know, I think the positive in this situation is that you get to add, Dove Thief, to your resume, and that sounds like a pretty cool title," she said, smirking. "Thanks for picking me though, for real. I think between me, Ky'vie, and Charlie's little prodigy over there, that dove is as good as found," the blonde said, gesturing over to Gabriel.

Camp Half~Blood - Obstacle Tower

Interacting With: Gabriel(@Grim327)

Charlie found himself torn away from his thoughts about Aella to listen to Chiron and Mr. D speak. His brow furrowed as the two went on and began explaining the situation with Aphrodite's Dove. His thoughts jumped into overdrive, trying to think of possibilities as to the culprit, but he really had nothing to go off of. Had he gotten a prophecy he might have been able to decipher it somewhat, but as it turned out, Gabriel would be joining the quest, which gave Charlie a reason to calm down. He trusted his half-brother to keep a cool head on the quest, and hopefully keep the others alive.

As the meeting was adjourned and Jess strolled towards Griffin and Ky'vie he looked over to Gabriel and smiled. "Congrats! First quest is a big deal," he said, grinning at his half brother. Secretly, he was glad he hadn't been picked. His last quest had ended...poorly to say the least, what with Eli coming back without his memories and all. He couldn't help but feel part way responsible, and at least while he was still at Camp, he could look into get Eli's memories back.

Gabriel Davidson
Obstacle Tower

Gabriel's attention was turned away from Aella and towards Dionysus and Chiron. The information they put forth made him wonder; why would anyone steal something from an Olympian, especially a demi-god? Gabriel didn't know Hawley too well, but he did know Hawley's pranks were harmless at heart. Gabriel looked around the small amphitheater at the rest of the campers assembled. He knew there were people on both sides of the argument and in the middle. Whatever happened to banding together for friend and family?

When Hawley chose Gabriel as a person to help retrieve the dove, however, Gabriel was completely caught off-guard. Again, Gabriel knew Hawley, but he didn't think he and Hawley were on that level of trust yet, at least not from Gabriel's position. There must have been plenty more people that were better qualified to help Hawley. He looked over at Charlie when he spoke, "Thanks, man. Can't say I'm as thrilled as you are. You know, don't wanna let anyone down. I'm sure everyone is like that on their first quest, though. Here's to hoping we figure this out and clear Hawley's name." When Adam finished, he gave Charlie a two-fingered salute and made his over to the trio that accomplish this quest.

"Well. . . I guess today don't wanna stop bein' dull," he said. "And thanks for the chance Hawley, though if I'm to be honest, I'm not completely sure why me, but whatever reason, I'll still fight for ya. It's gonna be nice to get to know yall better."

Ky' vie Morgan

The Obstacle Tower ~ Camp Half-Blood

Interacting with: Hawley Griffin (@Ghost Shadow), Jessica Merrimont (@smarty0114), Gabriel Davidson (@Grim327)

This was ridiculous… The moment that the meeting had been dismissed, Ky’ vie turned her head to look over at where Griffin was standing at her side, her metallic silver-blue eyes flicking lightly over his features for a moment before she shook her head- there was no way in Tartarus that he had been the one to do this. He was smarter than that; heck, they were all smarter than that… every single one of them knew better than to go out of their way to steal from a God or Goddess. What had happened to Percy Jackson was well known within the camp- they all knew the story… knew what had become of the real thief; Luke may have had his faults, but in the end he proved himself to be the hero he always was… at least, in her eyes he had. She couldn’t even begin to imagine how Griffin was feeling about all of this; how Lord Hermes must be feeling about all of this… the only comfort she herself took was the fact that she’d be there by his side, doing everything she possibly could to help clear his name of the false accusations thrown his way.

”You know, I think the positive in this situation is that you get to add, Dove Thief, to your resume, and that sounds like a pretty cool title. Thanks for picking me thought, for real. I think between me, Ky’ vie, and Charlie’s little prodigy over there, that dove is as good as found.”

“As much as I appreciate your attempt at lightening the situation, Jess, this is no joking matter. Being considered a thief ain’t something to take pride in; especially when his life is on the line.” Frowning heavily in her disapproval of the joking nature of the daughter of Demeter, Ky’ vie clenched her jaw for a moment, her gaze tearing away from her so that she could look around at the campers who were still lingering around the stands before finally, she let her attention return back to the group as the fourth member of the quest made his way over to stand with the rest of them; the younger son of Athena looking rather nervous, though she wasn’t about to hold it against him in any way, shape, or form… a first quest could be scary; terrifying even- they’d all been through it before, and could all sympathize with how Gabe must have be feeling about the fact that he had been chosen for the group.

Well… I guess today don’t wanna stop bein’ dull. And thanks for the chance Hawley, though if I’m to be honest, I’m not completely sure why me, but whatever reason, I’ll still fight for ya. It’s gonna be nice to get to know yall better.”

Relaxing her body physically once Gabe had come to a stop by the group, Ky couldn’t help the warm and welcoming smile that crossed over her soft pink lips, her arms shifting at her side as she slipped her left hand down into one of the back pockets of her shorts while she reached out towards him with her right hand, allowing it to come to a soft rest upon his shoulder; the young red-head giving it an encouraging squeeze before she glanced at the other two in the conversation, eventually allowing her gaze to wander back to Gabriel as she tried to reassure him, “Oi, try not to over-think things too much, okay..? Oh, and don’t worry, if you’re anythin’ like your brother is, Gabe; then I know you and I are gunna be the best of mates.”

Patting his shoulder comfortingly a couple more times, Ky let her hand drop from his figure to instead match the other one by slipping it down into her other back pocket, her welcoming expression fading from her features and becoming more serious as she turned her full attention back over to Griffin, her head tilting lightly and causing stray strands of her long wavy locks to fall over her face as she did what she could to meet his gaze, “..we need to get a move on, Grif… my suggestion is we all get packed and meet at the big house as soon as possible; you need to go see Dare for the prophecy…”

Peter Hasselbaink

Camp Half~Blood - Big House to Obstacle Tower

A son of Apollo. A son of, the greek god, Apollo. How did something like that even happen? Peter mused. He understood of course how it could happen, the biology was simple, but how does something that monumental just remain so...normal. It seemed unreal. The journey to Camp Half~blood had been short in truth, his mother had spent the entire time selling the campt him, like a holiday rep. Words so sweet he might have gotten diabetes were pouring out of his mother's mouth like syrup. Arriving at the foot of a tall tree it was surreal for Peter to hug his mother goodbye and turn to enter another vehicle, this time driven by a curly haired boy in loose fitting jeans and large hooded jumper. Apparently he was going to the 'Big House' to meet Argus who would be taking him through the camp.

Camp had always been wierd. From the time when Peter was 12 and he was sure one of the leaders had tried to choke him, to right this very second. Barreling along in a strangely old, yet well furnished four by four. In the vehicle a strange cream leather upholstery comfortably held Peter and his apparent chauffeur whilst softened suspension meant that the bumps and dips in the path and mud were virtually unfelt. In the front, a strange sight met Peter's eyes, more eyes looking back. But not just one or two eyes, tens of eyes, eyes on the back of the man's neck, on his hands and wrists. Argus, whom Peter had been introduced to upon his arrival, hadn't said a word. Silently driving him to the obstacle tower after one of the satyrs informed him that's where Chiron and Mr. D were. He vaguely recognised the name Chiron however the name Mr. D left a lot up to chance as to who that might be. Peter was looking out the window, his smile spreading a little as he marvelled at the facilities available. He had always been allowed to go see some of the best the real world had to offer, here went above and beyond anything he had seen before. It was all incredibly exciting, and somewhat intimidating. but then who was ever immediately the biggest fish in the pond?

The car slowly came to a halt and Peter nodded his head at Argus, feeling incredibly unsettled when the guard raised a single hand in farewell and an eye on the back of his hand winked. At least it seemed like a wink. Stepping out Peter felt immediately more settled the smell of the natural environment, the sound of positivity and the warmth of a gentle sun kissed glow. looking around he looked up with some wonder at the obstacle tower that a group seemed to be milling around. The group seemed assorted in their appearance and Peter liked that, the idea of cliques had always irritated him. Though perhaps in truth the cabin and family system replaced the cliques. Walking over slowly he carefully eyed p everyone he could, taking in every detail, his face unable to hide a slither of the interest that was welling in him. Approaching the collective which held the centaur he assumed was Chiron, Peter felt confident, yet as he came close that confidence waned a little. Who the hell were these people? Better said who in tartarus Peter supposed, although he still was only half wrapped around the situation.

Finally approaching the people he looked from face to face, hoping slightly that he was noticed before he had to speak. Especially in his state of bewilderment. However no one seemed too and so like a child much junior than he was, he quietly cleared this throat and spoke up at the Centaur first, might as well start with the one he could guess was Chiron. "Mr Chiron, sir, I think I was told you could talk to me about...this." He waves his hands dramatically to gesticulate his confusion.

Erin Marie Chase and Syleste Astrea Nioré

The Obstacle Tower ~ Camp Half-Blood

Interacting with: Mathew Cartelle (@Classpet), Charlie Alexander (@smarty0114)

“..no…”

Erin’s voice came out almost softer than a whisper as she let the news about what was going on sink into her very core- this couldn’t be happening… there was no way in Hades that Griffin would have stolen the blonde bimbo’s bird. It just wasn’t like him at all- wasn’t in his nature, though she had to admit that if he had stolen the stupid bird, it was an impressive feat nonetheless…

“M-Matty… I don’t understand; I know Griffin, he would never do what they said he has…” Unable to hide the shock that filled her voice at the situation that had arisen, Syleste turned her attention over to where she had last heard her brother’s voice coming from, her hand reaching out to gently take a hold of the bottom of his top as she lifted her head up in his general direction, her soft pink lips parting slightly as though asking for reassurance that she was right about her childhood friend before she turned her head back to where she knew Erin was still sitting, “Erin; you know that I’m about this- you have to tell the-…”

Tearing her gaze away from both the God and the Centaur once they had both said their piece, Erin allowed her dark eyes to scan about the area until finally, they came to a rest upon the one person she had been searching for, her gaze meeting for only a brief moment with that of Hawley before she was off, “..I-… I’m sorry Syleste…”

“E-Erin..?”

Lifting up from its place among their friends, Erin let her feet quickly carry her away from the situation altogether, her arms swinging lightly at her side as she hurried to put more space in between her and the rest of the camp- she couldn’t believe what she was hearing… sure the Gods were well known for their whole ‘attack first, ask questions later’ attitude, but to accuse someone of something just because of a reputation left behind by something that their older sibling did..? The very thought had her hands balling into fists, and her arms visibly shaking as they continued to swing lightly at her sides, her whole form seeming to darken and blur slightly at the edges before finally, she disappeared from sight completely; her entire body bursting apart into black mist as she stepped foot into the shadows.

Faltering slightly at her friends sudden apology, Syleste inadvertently tightened her hold over her brother’s top, her body shaking lightly as stooped her head downward, her shoulders hunching over slightly as her brows furrowed in worry for not only her childhood friend, but also for the other three that were supposed to be going with him to get back the Goddesses dove that had been stolen- Griffin wasn’t the only one who was supposed to be going… Ky’ vie, Jessica… shutting her eyes tightly, Syleste couldn’t help the way that her body hunched even further over than it already was at the very thought of the fourth person who was supposed to be leaving the camp on the search for Aphrodite’s bird- this was Gabriel’s first quest… the first time that he was supposed to be leaving the camp since he had arrived… the first time that he was supposed to be leaving her…

Biting lightly upon her lower lip for a few moments of thought, Syleste took time to settle the confusing flurry that was her thoughts before finally, she made up her mind, her hand relaxing around her brother’s top enough for it to fall once more back to her side as she slowly lifted herself up from where she had been sitting, her cheeks flushing a soft shade of red and her hands coming together nervously in front of her stomach as she turned to face where she had last heard her friends voice, her body shifting anxiously over the spot in which she stood as she spoke, unsure of whether or not she was going to get teased like she had earlier on by Elena for what she had said, “U-Uhm… excuse me, Charlie… do-… do you think you could take me over to your brother..? I… I want to wish him luck for his first quest…”

Charlie was pulled from his thoughts by the voice of Syleste. “U-Uhm… excuse me, Charlie… do-… do you think you could take me over to your brother..? I… I want to wish him luck for his first quest…” Charlie grinned. He'd seen the Gabriel and Syleste train coming for a little bit now, though he hadn't yet said anything to Gabe. But now was probably as good a time as ever for them to really talk to each other, seeing as Gabe was about to go risk his life to save a bird. "Sure I can. I shall lead the way my lady," he said with a slight laugh as he took her hand and led her towards Gabe and the others.

"You know Syleste, Gabe's a smart guy. Well, I mean of course he is, but I mean he knows a good thing when he sees it, from what I can tell. And you and him seem like a good thing. Wow you know what, ignore the awkwardness of all that and just take away that I think you and Gabe would be good together," he said with a chuckle. Finally arriving at the group Charlie began speaking. "Hello brave adventurers! Hope I'm not interrupting anything important but Gabe, Syleste had some things to say to you." Smiling, Charlie stepped away from the daughter of Morpheus, allowing her to speak with his half-brother freely.

Mathew Cartelle
The obstacle Tower

Matt had been zoning out again, this time his mind manufacturing faces in the clouds, the likes of which he could not look away from without reason. That reason soon came in the form of another teen. He'd never met her before, at least he didn't think that he had. Offering a small wave he gave a soft 'hello', that was probably lost in the commanding voice that rang out at the same time. The camp director, Mr.D, had something to say.

At first the news of the stolen dove just seemed outright stupid. Matt knew that just about everybody in camp was smart enough to know not to steal a god or goddess's possession, it never worked out. All this commotion over some dumb bird seemed over the top as well. He figured the goddess could magic up a new bird or something like that, but the gods weren't know for seeming particularly reasonable. Matt felt kinda bad that Hawley got pinned on such a boring sounding quest not that Matt had any reference, never having been on a quest himself.

Meanwhile Syleste had gone up to talk with Gabe, an action Matt had managed to miss entirely. Turning to find her gone was startling, though quickly resolved itself as she was within eye sight still.

With nothing obvious left to do or say he looked around, waiting for someone else to say or do something bold, watching things unfold.

Chiron

The Obstacle Tower ~ Camp Half-Blood

Interacting with: Peter Hasselbaink (@gowia)

"Mr. Chiron, sir, I think I was told you could talk to me about... this."

“Hm..?” Furrowing his brows in slight confusion as a new voice interrupted his train of thought, Chiron let his attention wander around his person and over the campers surrounding him before eventually, he turned his body around to completely face the figure he had only seen once before, though in a picture- so it seemed as though the young Apollo boy was finally to join the camp as his father had wanted him to; however his sudden appearance, not to mention addition to the ranks was somewhat troubling given the current situation. The director and himself had only been aware of one new demigods arrival to the camp… another was more than welcome, though the very thought of what had forced the rushed choice had a saddened expression crossing over his wise features.

“Ah… young Mr. Hasselbaink- your father told us to expect you gracing us with your presence; although, I’m sorry to say that we hadn’t been expecting you so soon.” Unable to help the soft though still amused chuckle that fell out through his lips, Chiron shook his head lightly from side to side before reaching out to place a hand comfortingly upon the boy’s shoulder, his other hand gesturing out to the camp lain out before them as he turned and took a couple of steps away from the group he had been standing with, allowing them to continue on with their talks as he himself began a conversation with the new camper, “Welcome child, to Camp Half-Blood- everyone here, very much like yourself, is special in one way or another; the one common denominator being that each of you have a parent, whether it be mother or father, who happens to be either a God or Goddess.”

Letting his hand slip from where he had been resting upon Peter’s shoulder, he brought both his arms up, crossing them both over his chest as a thoughtful expression played upon his face- truly they’d had much excitement, with the prospect that the day would only grow more so, “While the majority of campers here have ties with the Greek pantheon, there are those rare few such as our other new addition whom come from the Roman pantheon- they might be a little harder to get to know… other than that, Half-Blood also plays home to many Satyrs; we have also before housed a Cyclops, though it has been quite some time since we had the pleasure of seeing Tyson.”

“Chiron..! Move those hooves, and kick up some dirt. We don’t have all day to waste with these ungrateful little pains in the ass.”

Turning his head around to look back at the camps director as he shouted at him to hurry up and get a move on, Chiron frowned heavily, his features seeming to age even further as his disapproval for the interruption was shown clear upon his face; sighing out softly in defeat, he broke his arms away from across his chest, instead using one to motion for one of the other campers to come forward, her long wavy blonde locks bouncing lightly upon her back and shoulders as she ran over to see what was up, “I apologize for the behavior of our camps director; Dionysus has been put under a lot of stress by Lord Ares… I fear your arrival has been overshadowed by that of the theft of Lady Aphrodite’s divine symbol… Nevertheless, we shall not leave you hanging high and dry.”

Unable to help the amused smile that flickered over his lips as the blonde girl finally slowed to a stop beside them both, Chiron nodded lightly before finally gesturing to her, “This is Arianna; she will be the one to show you around the camp, and to answer any questions you might have pertaining to it. I would assume that due to your little stunt this morn you have not gone to collect your refill from the infirmary Ms. Watson…”

Chuckling once again though this time at the young girl who was now doing her best to pull his attention to any other topic other than her medication, Chiron once more shook his head lightly, this time gesturing for the both of them to begin as he began to turn away and head over to where Dionysus was waiting impatiently for him, “Then I suggest it be one of the first stops in your tour- Mr. Hasselbaink, I leave you in the capable hands of Ms. Watson; and should you need anything of me, do not be afraid to come find me over at the big house.”

Vanessa Casey

Obstacle tower

Vanessa stood among the group, listening intently to Chiron and Mr D explain the predicament with Aphrodite's dove but... Hawley? So he was a son of the god of thieves but wouldn't the gods gotten over rashly pointing their fingers at the children of their rivals after the events with Percy Jackson long before Vanessa had come to camp? Quite obviously not.

Sure, Griffin was a trickster. Vanessa fell victim to one of his pranks once when she hadn't been at camp for an overly long period over time, whether it been planned for her or it was a 'wrong place at the wrong time' situation she didn't know but doubted it was the prior, she had kept wary around him for quite sometime but eventually gave it up. A trickster he was but she doubted he was a thief particularly when it came to such important items. She hadn't seen him steal something and fail to return it later, or had he? She turned a critical eye over her friend. No, he couldn't have. He's cheeky but not a wrongdoer.

He selected his three to go on the quest and Vanessa was relieved she wasn't chosen. Not that he'd have any reason to choose her anyway. Vanessa hadn't left the camp since her arrival almost 3 years ago, she didn't know if she wanted to, well maybe she did a bit but she loved camp even if she didn't always seem to show it. Her head turned to the group of people around her with a sigh as her hazel eyes flew to each camper in the group she stood with. Syleste, using Alex as an aid, approaching Gabe. Maybe something would come of the pair, it was obvious to even Vanessa that the two of them liked each other and she almost always seemed blind to such things.
