Reese had just finished bandaging Brick's shoulder when he heard Chase saying they were getting ready to leave, “Yeah, I'm finished, let's get going.” He responded back to Brick, putting any left over supplies he had out back into his bag, he couldn't help but wonder what would be in this vault that they were going too, what would be inside it.

He'd been to a vault before, though there wasn't really a lot in it, mostly just bandits, like a lot of them were. Though he knew there was some that hadn't been opened yet, either because they couldn't be opened, there were still original vault dwellers in them keeping them shut, or they hadn't been discovered yet, he wondered if this vault they were going to was going to be one that still had original dwellers in there or if it had any kind of valuable loot, even if it was merely medical tools and supplies, that could be invaluable in its own right, whatever was there, he couldn't wait to find out.

The day was getting hotter as always, saving the Brahman’s back Aurora was carried by her sister, arms slung around the woman's neck as the quiet process of travels passed her by. Eden leading the way due to her being the only one that have been there she sat in silence for hour after hour, tempted to ask what her sister was reading but always falling short.

Instead as always she took her 10mm, taking it apart and putting it back together with careful and daft fingers. "How much further?" As if to answer the question for her all the red head had to do was look up to see them pass her garage.
"Few more miles."

Noticing her sister was slowing down though Aruroa looked at the woman who began to grow tired. "I can ride on the Bhraman you know? Least for a little bit." Yet all she got was silence, rolling her eyes the woman sighed at the response, "your so stubborn."

"Gettin' pretty close now huh?" Brick said to no one in particular, shifting the weight of his slung shotgun a little further up his shoulder. He had been keeping the weight solely on his right shoulder through the trip, for fear of re-injuring his left. The sun was beating down overhead, far hotter than Brick was used to, he had even shed his outer layer of clothing and stored it in one of the brahmin's packs.

'Might as well get this out of the way, and hope it doesn't get awkward'

"Hey Aurora" he said "I've got somethin I wanted to talk to you about. I guess it concerns you too Eden. Kind of a business proposition... where do I start? Well, you remember while we were working on Fuago, I told you about the group I work for? The Gun Runners? So, part of my work involves both learning new techniques from local weaponsmiths and passing on my own knowledge. Ever since we began working together, I've been impressed by your skills. You're definitely the closest thing to an expert I've met since coming to the Banks, so I guess what I'm saying is this: after we're all finished with this vault job, how would you like to come back to Davenport and become my apprentice?"

The two listened quietly, interested in what Brick had to saw the younger sister had her head tilted in curiosity the entire time only for a smile to stretch from ear to ear in sheer excitement. She could be his apprentice? Already ideas were spinning through her head, what she could do with a new source of knowledge, she knew Brick had more experience, and she could learn more to?
"Are you kidding me? Yes that would be ama-"
"The answer is no"

Aurora took the face as one who had been shot the first time, looking at her sister in pure disbelief yet she just kept walking on her memorized path. "What do you mean?" Her voice choked slightly, yet Eden did not say a word for some time. "Its too dangerous, your not doing it, you promised you would go back home after this anyway."

"Its not dangerous! And I'm almost 20! Come on Eden just give me a chance!" Voice desperate it was like speaking to a wall as Eden simply shook her head, yet with the answer given, Aruoura turned her head, determination in her eyes as she mouthed to Brick, "I'm finding a way, yes or no."
Shes done with hiding, shes never really been apart of the wasteland, Eden in her protective bouts had ended up sheltering the red head to the point that she could say she has two handicaps. She'll find a way to convince Eden, she had to.

Chase though overhearing the two decided to step in, speaking over his shoulder, Brahman in hand. "Come on Eden, its not like Aurora would be alone, even than she can handle herself pretty damn well. Who knows, with a little teaching for that head of hers she could finish that power armour suit thats been sitting collecting dust."
Yet all Eden done was glare, one that someone would give to their kill, each eye a dagger yet she still refused to budge on her decision.

Reese limped with the rest of the group, finding his injury a little irritating, but he could manage it, he just hated how at the moment he couldn't walk like he normally did and instead had to make sure that he wasn't putting too much weight on his injured ankle.

He glanced up at the sky, seeing the sun beating down on the path they were on, he pulled his canteen from his waist, uncapped it and then took a swing from it, well it wasn't cold, but it was cool enough, and it would keep him hydrated, that was the important part. “I've got some water, anyone want some?” He couldn't help but ask the others that he was traveling with, he didn't know if they had water or not, but the last thing that was needed was someone collapsing from dehydration.

He overheard the conversation going on with the rest of them, he could tell Eden was very protective of her sister and whilst he understood that, this was probably a mistake on his part, but he at least had to speak his mind, “Eden, I get that you're protective of your sister, but she's not helpless, besides I don't think anyone would let her get hurt, besides being overprotective can be just as likely a reason to get her killed as having no protection at all.” He hoped that last part wasn't taken out of context, he just knew that if people didn't have the skills to fend for themselves, when they finally are alone, chances aren't high that they'll survive.

Chase dropped the Brhaman's lead causing the animal to halt as the older man tried to get Reese to stop what he was about to say. Each word cutting in like a knife he felt his blood run cold when he realized what the guy had just done. He mentioned how Aurora could be killed because of their relationship, how Eden's attitude could be what kills her sister.

"Son you have no idea what you just did do you." His voice a harsh whisper he looked up only to be met with a look that could have started a war, unblinking, everything she felt was there on her face yet Aurora was on her back, she wasn't going to put the red head down so she can do what she pleased, instead she turned around and kept walking, worry on the younger sister's features.

"Boy you should really be careful with what you say around that woman. Aurora had a body guard and he said something along your lines and he ended up shot and thrown out. She has no obligation to you she'll try to kill you if she thinks your making any kind of threat to Aurora and shes not right in the head because of it...."
He already knew what happened with the sisters, Aurora told him last year since he was the longest person to stick around with them. How they were kids when their family were slaughtered. "Eden still blames herself for what happened to Aurora I'm betting, don't make it worse and have her take the anger out on you, don't want to deal with two bodies when it can be avoided."

Taking the animal again he began to lead it on, already noticing how Aurora was calming her sister down. "Its not Aurora that needs Eden son, its the other way around I found out."

Windsor,North Carolina; Just outside of OBR territory

"Please don-" A bang rang out as a man on his knees was shot in the head dropping to the cracked asphalt street while behind him was the smoldering ruins of the town. "Why can't any of these fools tell me where it is! I didn't travel half of the damn country for nothing!" A dark haired man in a trench coat yelled out loud. All around him were heavily armed soldiers dressed in full military gear including assault rifles. Windsor was burning to the ground mixing in perfectly with the clear sunset. It was an eerily quiet as they lined up the last prisoner in front of the mysterious man.

"Alright lets go through this again. My name is Rex. I will kill you without a second thought. So do you know of a Vault around here boy?" He said pointing his silver revolver now dotted with brain goo and blood at the prisoners head.

"Yea...Yea I know where a vault is! Its just south of here in Swans Quarter I was working their till some girl made some shit to open it! Please don't kill me!" A battered dirty old man said to him.

"Thank God! Someone knows where a vault is around here. Newman let this man go...after leaving our departing gift." He smiled as a burly man grabbed the prisoner and started to crave an arrow into his chest. Screaming pain came from the old man as Rex walked away grabbing a cigarette from his inside pocket and lighting it from a burning wood pile.

"Boys we are heading to Swans Quarter!" He said.

Reese glanced at Eden and then Chase, shaking his heads as he listened to the man, “All I'm saying is that she can't always be there to protect her sister, you treat people as being helpless and that's exactly what they'll be, this world isn't the type of place where you can always have others defending you all the time, events and actions will happen where the person meant to protect someone can't be there and as I said before, if the person needing protecting doesn't know how to defend themselves, they won't last very long.” His words may have sounded harsh, but he knew they were true nonetheless and if she was going to fight him over words, he would defend himself if need be.

He wouldn't push the issue, no need to get their group upset after having fought basically a small army and a living tank, though that didn't mean he would just hold back his thoughts, he wasn't built like that. He wasn't trying to tell her what to do, just give his opinion on the matter, he knew how easy it would be to die in the wastes, it nearly happened to him, from lack of supplies and recently when the town was attacked.

He glanced at Eden once more, “Look, I apologize if it seemed I was telling you what to do, just trying to warn you is all, world needs good people like you to help balance out the negativity and bleakness.” He lightly smiled to them, still trying remain friendly with them.

Brick listened in silence, thinking of a way to nudge things in the direction he wanted, while also avoiding pissing Eden off further. Even though he agreed with Reese's words, he'd saw how efficient Eden was with a blade, and he'd rather keep his head for the foreseeable future.

"She wouldn't be alone" he began, almost meekly "As we speak, my guys are working on fixing up Davenport, building proper walls, and hiring more men to defend her. My shop is going to be a fortress once the work is done. I get that you want her to be safe, and the only way for you to ensure that is if you're there with her, so why don't you? Your work last night speaks for itself. People like you and Chase are exactly who I'd want at my side, who I DO want at my side. You don't have to answer now, it's an open offer. And not to sound guilty-trippy or anything, but I know in my heart this is in Aurora's best interest, so please reconsider"

As his offer hung in the air, Brick knew he wouldn't get an answer right away, so he nodded his head towards the horizon and slowly began walking again towards their destination.

An answer to both of them was silence, trying to keep her sister from dealing with another spite of anger from her, Eden instead brought out the tiny leather book she read over and over again. a careful look from the red head causing her to growl in her mind as she heard Aurora speak. "Well she's thinking about it at least."
She could never out smart her younger sister, she knew her better than anyone and it was almost unnerving how well she could read into someone once she understood who they were. Setting her jaw Eden ignored the comment for now, holding Aurora up with one arm she continued to read the book.

It was hours till they finally made it. Yet it was Aurora who began to grin at the first sight. Looming heavily in the open stood the Vault door, it's number almost impossible to read, sides rusted shut in stubbornness, keeping all its secrets intact and untouched since it was sealed. "Oh wow, its amazing."
It was times like these she wished she could walk, she would have ran down that hill to scout the best place to set Fuago up. Instead all she done was wait, looking back at her group to see their reactions. Workers all around, digging with sweat streaming down their forms in harsh labour. "Wow Eden you weren’t kidding, it really is stubborn, nothing my girl can't get through."
A triumphant smirk on her features she thanked Chase as he unloaded her chair on a semi smooth path. Thankful for her own means of moving she opened her arms for the weapon only for Chase to decline, claiming Fuago was too heavy for the chair to take both of their weights now. 'Fine, hey Eden, who was the guy that wanted her?"

Looking to her sister the older woman shrugged, scanning the area for the one her memory was serving. "Someone who can't insult people that well."

The woman rose, having finished wrapping her arm in a layer of thick bandages. She'd pulled out the bullets and sewed each hole shut using dental floss. it kind of burned a little becuase of the mint flavoring, but it had to do. She stared at the hand-made stitches on her arm, wondering just exactly how she knew to treat this properly. From what she could remember, she didn't have medical experience. But.. what could she remember? Closing her eyes tightly, the black haired woman thought hard. But.. there was nothing to think about.. nothing to remember.. all that met her was darkness. Wiggling her toes again, and then her fingers, she counted to one hundred and stood. Well.. her mind wasn't so hurt that she was losing body function, but she couldn't remember what time it was.. what day it was.. nothing. She was clearly concussed.. or something. Staring at the broken bodies of the Three bandits who had attacked her, she recalled the fluid motions of her blades, slicing right through them as if it was her job. It had been so easy.. and she'd even aimed for parts of their body that were weak.. neck, thigh, armpit. She leafed through their belongings smoothly, finding some bottle caps weird and a bunch of ammo for the guns they'd been shooting. Well.. she had no need for bottle caps. Picking up the gun, she found she had no idea which part was what. Obviously aim the part with the hole away from herself.. right? And then.. pull the little trigger thing. BANG. Her arm flew back and the gun flew out of her hand and skittered to the ground. Great job, you idiot. She didn't try to pick up the weapon again. Definitely not my thing.. i guess.

Shaking her head, the woman wandered away from the carnage, she needed a place to recover, the wound on her head.. she'd treated it the best she could, but she still needed to drink water to replenish her fluids and take a rest.. considering she'd just been attacked by random people.. this was probably not a safe place. So.. she'd just have to wander until she could find a place safe enough to rest. Hopefully soon. She wasn't in very good shape.

Hours had passed since she started walking aimlessly. She was hot and her body was starting to feel like Spaghetti. She blinked twice as she saw several forms appearing over the horizon. People.. one apparently sitting in a chair. Considering the last time she'd seen people, they shot her twice, she wasn't keen on approaching them. She was weak, and hopelessly outnumbered. Instinct kicking in, she stopped, resting her hand on the handle of her machete. You aren't in any condition to fight. She told herself. But you know.. if they attacked, she'd rather go out swinging.. God damnit.. think.. think.. THINK. USE YOUR HEAD She closed her eyes and attempted to think up a plan. However, as soon as she started to think, the wound on her head twinged, causing her to lose focus. She cursed under her breath, bringing her hand up to the wound. Well.. it was bleeding again. Not as much as before, but still pretty bad.. if she just had some super glue she could glue it together... BAH. Whatever.. it was time to face facts.. if these people didn't help her she was going to die anyways. So.. she took a chance, moving her hand away from her weapons and calling out to them from afar. "HEY!" hey.. really? you freaking idiot... whatever..

Near Jamesville; RiverCat territory

Rex and his men had been moving at a constant pace after leaving Windsor in the morning. His men were tired but knew if they fell behind Rex would put a bullet between their head like he has many times before. Rex seemed to never be tired always walking with his trench coat and sunglasses and his hair was a long, clean, and white. He was a sore thumb out in the wasteland but had never been meet his match out in it. A few Rivercats were at a roadblock up ahead but the group payed no attention as the neared.

"Hey! Stop this is Cat territory turn around or pay the fee!" A solider said stepping in front of the makeshift roadblock. Rex signaled his men to stop just before the man. "Stand down zombie. Do you not see what we are packing behind us."
"I don't give a damn now you motherfucker calling me a fu-" Just then Rex pulled out his Revolver and blew the mans head off.

The other two Rivercats jumped from behind the roadblock and returned fire. Rex fired two shot in quick succession at one of them blowing his arm and kneecap off. The other one RiverCat fired his .22 rifle at him but missed as Rex ducked and fired a direct shot into his jaw. In just a few seconds silence fell over the coastal plain and the sound of Devil flys in the distance returned. "Lame...made me waste four bullets on them. Take whatever you want as we walk by but remember no stoping until we get to the river." He said wiping off a blood drop on his shiny revolver.

The group was making record time and could get to the vault in just another day....

Looking up Eden heard the voice of a woman, an easy motion she took the rifle that was slung over her back, bringing the scope to her eyes yet her hands were no where near the trigger. "Stay" a raspy voice Aurora nodded, knowing that anyone in the wasteland could be using troubles to get the upper hand on travellers.
There was a good side of this though, Eden being the one to leave Aurora with Brick and Reese meant she was trusting them a little at the vary least. The woman sitting in her chair held the wheels on both side, bated breath as she watched the back of her sister approach the other woman.

Eden on the other hand kept an easy gate, her gaze a bit board she stopped a few feet away, the vault was so close she could see it from the slope they were standing on. Yet instead she raised a brow at the woman who was obviously wounded. "What?" It was all she said, hand on the hip that held her blade she waited for the woman to explain what the issue was. It had to be something, they were right next to a massive camp.

Reese glanced up at the rusted vault, even having only heard of them, he still thought it was rather impressive that the old world had made stuff like this, it just didn't seem plausible, then again, a lot of tech they had now was re-purposed old world tech, so it shouldn't have surprised him that much, but still, it was pretty amazing, just seeing the inside of it alone would probably awe him.

He was about to say something about the vault when he heard a woman call out to their group, he could see that she was injured, though he could also tell that Eden wasn't the type to be so helpful right off the bat, especially with her sister and them still relaxing a little from the previous events at Davenport.

He doubted that it would come to any kind of fighting, the woman looked fairly injured, though looks could be deceiving, she seemed like she was genuinely hurt, “She doesn't look like she's a threat, in fact it looks like she could use some help, I could go over there and talk to her and see what up, that way you don't have to put your sister in danger.” Reese offered, he was always one to meet new faces though, whether they were nice or rude.

“Hey, you look like you're hurt, I'm a doctor of sorts, I could help you if you like.” Reese spoke to the woman that had grabbed their groups attention, unsure of who she was, however she didn't seem bad, at least to him, but if she did try something, it would be pretty bold so close to the others, that was the wastes though, always a gamble with those you meet.

The glint of a sniper rifle in the distance, The woman flinched, ducking her head slightly, feeling more safe when the other woman put her weapon down. She glanced up at the other woman as she blinked slowly. Judging from the reaction of the woman... these people didn't know who she was... likely they'd never seen her before. Neat. And then the woman stopped a few feet away and said. 'what' that was it.. what. The woman blinked twice, shaking her head and then blinking slowly as she recovered. "uh..."

Then the man approached, giving her a smile. "Uhm.." she responded. "Hi. Yes... uh.." for a moment she didn't know what to say or how to talk to this person. Then she glanced to her arm, which was bandaged, and touched the bandage on her head. "Yeah.. i'm a doctor too.. or something.. i think.." She motioned to the bandages she'd wrapped around her arm and head, which were well done considering she'd applied them herself. "Uhm.. I would.. like your help, i think. Can you tell me where exactly I am?" Maybe knowing where she was would jog her memory... and even if not.. it would answer one of her billions of questions.

Brick stayed put as Eden and Reese approached the newcomer, just in case. He looked to Chase and Aurora and began his mental plotting of how they were going to operate the beastly laser cannon, all the while keeping a hand near his holster, on the off chance things went south.

"It's bigger than I imagined. The couple of vaults I've seen, like up near home and in the capital wasteland had smaller doors. You think we could get away with cutting our own door out, rather than just melting our way around the whole thing? Cuz I really don't know if we have enough juice to get all the way around that thing, if we do it'll be very close. Think we could take an hour or so to plan it out, maybe do a dry run?"

Moving to the Brahman Aurora began to look at Fuago still strapped to it's back, her gaze shifting between her baby and the door. "Your right, I had no idea it was that big. All Eden told me was that it was under water and rusted shut because of it." Pulling at her wheels she turned the chair upward to change direction. "A dry run should be best, we'll have to talk to the guy that's in charge, for all we know he might have some back up equipment that we could add to her when she starts to falter. Theres a tone of people down there, they have to have something."

Looking back at the conversing group a little ways away she sighed. "Sorry, about Eden I mean. Shes never been the same ever since I lost my legs. She's actually really nice once you get to know her." She heard Chase scoff a bit away, causing the red head to glare as she waited for him to speak. "That woman has the temper of a death claw and venom in her words."

"Chase she saved your life..twice..once at the expense of her arm."

While her sister was speaking of Fuago, Eden was looking over the woman before her. She seemed scared, looking about with no idea of where she was. If this was an act than she was pretty damn good at it. The entire time still Eden kept a hand on her blade, waiting for any move that could be considered a threat.
"Vault 13"
Indicting with her head at the camp below she shrugged her shoulders at the woman's question, allowing Reese to do the rest of the speaking she took a glance back at her sister.

"Holy Shit!" Preston yelled as he came out of his cabin to spot that their was actually a laser that could melt the vault door in front of him. "You actually did it! These workers won't be feeding off our caps now!" He said approaching them. "Now who is the other people around here I ain't paying more caps for them you know." He said looking at the man next to her.

Her attention caught from a loud voice Aurora turned to see a blond male leave one of the larger cabins, a glint in his gaze as he eyed Fuago she found herself raising a brow at his words. "Yes, I made Fuago, though we didn't expect the door to be that big so she might run out of juice, we're gonna have to do a few test runs."

She was confused at his manner of speaking, but was more than willing to be civil until he came up with the comment of not paying Brick. Now she was getting a taste of why Eden wasn't much of a talker. " Brick is my mentor and has just as much to do with Fuago's creation as myself, actually he was the one to figure out how to get her up and running. And I think its kinda obvious why Chase is here, can't exactly defend myself that well if I can't run for cover now can I?"

She actually began to hear Chase laughing behind her, a hearty sound as he shook his head. "Well than Aurora, you only been out here for a few days and your already getting an attitude, guess thats the wasteland for ya, turns the sweetest girls sour." All she done was stick out her tongue before looking back at the vault door. "So, did you make any progress with opening her up? Any weak spots, thinner rust, nicks in the hinges or anything? We're also gonna need someone who can trustfully do some heavy lifting, Fuago here is stubborn and takes more than one person to use."

“Wow, another doctor, don't really find that many out here in the wastes, nice to meet you, I'm Reese.” He spoke to the woman as he went to approach her and try to examine her injuries, “Do you know what happened to you?” He added, though he ha d a few guesses, most of the wastes were covered by all sorts of hazards, but bandits were usually the most common, that or gangs, it just depended on how unforgiving the universe felt like being that day.

He couldn't help but notice some commotion going on over near the vault, “Oh good, more company.” He spoke to himself, wondering who the man near the others was, hopefully someone friendly, he didn't know if they could manage another fight what with them still being a bit injured. Glancing at Eden with her hand resting on her weapon, “You can relax, I don't think she's a danger, unless she's really good at bleeding just to trick people.” He chuckled a little, trying to keep the situation light as they got to know the injured woman.
