I'm just saying, if we start throwing out phrases like "for no good reason" in regards to references, we start down a slippery slope. Now, I'm not saying go like, "Ugh, this is going worse than that time that Cyclops and Martian Manhunter fought Starro!" But I don't see the harm in the occasional namedrop. (And I'm not just saying that because I'm playing a motor mouth. ) If it truly hampers someone, it can be edited out or simply ignored.

I suppose this is another reason why I hate frameworks that are vague. It just leads to such confusion, misunderstanding, and miscommunication.

In Carol’s debut post where she began to deal with The Brotherhood, I indeed mentioned an X-Men for a variety of reasons. One of which of a shared universe is to mention things at large to make connections as well as elaborating on a perspective of a character so they don’t seem to live in a vacuum. I was not simply “just mentioning them for the sake of filling out a post” which I reject the assertion completely. Also, do understand at the time I brainstormed that post somebody in the OOC said they were making a Charles Xavier sheet. So implying my mention was pointless padding or a senseless reference point is pretty disheartening for me as a collaborator in this thing.

I’m not necessarily offended, but it does kind of make me take a step back for a moment. We have to remember, also, that Magento tried to kill the President in a public fashion three years ago. So the Brotherhood existing and the X-Men not feels like The Joker existing before Batman. It’s been done, but I wasn’t aware that was the way things were panning out.

All I was asking is for some clarification whether they exist so I can decide if I need to edit one or two lines out of a post I made over two days ago. It was not meant as a debate. Why did it have to become a debate. I also do not need two people implying I did it for no reason and was pointless, trying to swap my hand with a flyswatter like this is something I need to be lectured about. It isn't intuitive for me wanting to write.

All you had to do was "No, the X-Men are not something Carol would be aware of. They do not exist or are not known about."

I would've edited my post thusly. It's not that crazy.

Definitely didnt set out to slam your work - your arc ideas thusfar are great. AND I had completely missed the Xavier CS sheet being accepted. So I apologise!

It wasn’t a sheet, but a mention of intent to create. But still, the OOC moves insanely fast so I don’t blame you there. You don’t need to apologize, but the sentiment is appreciated regardless.

I'll work up another Ivy post within the next week. Since she's more of a slow burn at this point. I have an end point, I just don't want to reach it too quickly. Especially if I might be tossing a Harley in the mix.

As for Cap. He's going to be at HQ for a while if anyone wants to join him and Zatanna. He'll make you do paperwork and various other sundry things, like training. It'll be tons of fun.

Had been working on a Kai-ro post, but I hit a wall.

I might focus on Damian and let Kai-ro slide to the backburner for a bit.

Incidentally the reason I had Ross turn up already after Banner was just introduced is that I need Banner to Hulk out to Introduce Hulk :P
