Despite her how outer appearance and expression may seem to be, once one gets to know her, they would discover her to be rather warm and friendly. Not one to boast, her humble and down-to-earth nature was one of the earliest traits in her life nurtured by her parents. It goes without a doubt that Poppy is highly confident of both herself and her abilities, but not to an extent that would make her seem cocky or arrogant, simply just assured of her own skills and abilities. Poppy is known to be highly-focused and remarkably industrious, willing to put in the extra mile to achieve her goal or complete the tasks assigned to her.

Once she sets goals for herself, she becomes incredibly dedicated to her goals, pretty much almost to the point of stubbornness. Bold and adventurous, she is not afraid of trying out new things and activities and is always looking forward to learning new stuff, whatever that might be. A good team player who understand the necessity of teamwork and cooperation, Poppy is also an outspoken and ambitious individual who is not afraid to make her views and opinions be known to the rest of the group.

Born to Jennifer and Alexander, the Blackburns were from a long line of mechanics and repairmen. As per the family tradition, Poppy was trained from a young age on the art of mechanics and repairing stuff. While other children were playing with dolls and other forms of toys commonly associated with kids, her toys were scrap machine parts, gears and other such materials. At the age of eight, she built herself a toy dog fashioned out of scrap pieces of metal, cogwheels, springs and other recyclable junk parts she could get her hands on. She was widely praised by her parents as well as the rest of the mechanical community for her talent and ingenuity. She lived a happy and contented life although she did not have many luxuries available to her. However, one morning, she woke up to find herself alone in her home.

Her parents were missing, and their bed untouched. They had not returned the night before. Not too long after her discovery of her parent's disappearance, Inquisitors and their army of guards arrived at her home for the intention of arresting her for murder. The murder of both her parents, to be exact. It went without a doubt to say that Poppy was in an utter state of shock to do anything. The Inquisitors simply treated it as really impressive acting, and dragged the shocked girl away to jail. Poppy had no idea what had happened to her parents, and who killed them. But there was one thing she knew. She was clearly being framed for a crime that she did not commit, and there was no way out. But she had find one. She wasn't going out like this. She had to live. To avenge her parents.

Jamie is a quiet, moody young man. He has a dry, sarcastic sense of humor and can be standoffish towards people he doesn’t know. He’s very nervous and prone to panic attacks; before being arrested he self-medicated for an undiagnosed anxiety disorder. He has quite a temper and is a champion grudge holder. Though he doesn’t trust easily, he is deeply loyal and protective towards people he loves and would do just about anything for them. He's very perceptive towards other's emotions and is capable of being a surprisingly good listener when his loved ones are in need of support. He is prone to observations of abject cynicism but also secretly holds some hope for both himself and the state of the world.

Jamie is the son of an Inquisitor and a mechanic, one half of a set of twins. For the first five years of his life he and his twin sister were raised by his mother. They had minimal contact with their father, who seemed set on pretending they didn’t exist. That lasted up until the twins’ fifth birthday, on which their mother was arrested and tried for performing illegal biotech updates on people for money. Within the next few days his mother was executed and he and his sister moved in with their father, now more ashamed of them and his relationship with their mother than ever.

His father was emotionally distant, and often verbally abusive to his children. Whenever Jamie or his sister would ask about their mother all they got were short, dismissive responses. Jamie grew to resent him and the rest of the Inquisitors as he grew older, blaming them for his mother's death and viewing their methods as unnecessarily harsh. His sister shared the sentiment and when they were sixteen their father overheard them having a conversation in which they discussed these beliefs. He seized the opportunity to be rid of his troublesome children and arrested them both for defamation. As if that wasn’t enough, during the search of his quarters, recreational drugs were found in Jamie’s possession, which sealed he deal: he’d be locked up and eventually executed, just like his mother.

Deep down, Violet is a kindhearted, sweet girl who grew up in rough circumstances. When she was younger, she was very open and friendly but as time went on, a hard, outer shell began to grow around her. Years of emotional abuse by her father dimmed the light inside of her that once used to burn so bright and after her mother passed away, it faded to just a spark. Though she likes to pretend that she doesn't care about anything, Violet actually cares a lot. Once you get past her hard exterior, you'll find a friend that is willing to do almost anything for you. When Violet loves, she loves hard to the point that it breaks her heart when it is taken from her. In general, she's a pretty friendly person and actually does enjoy other people's company. She can be a bit naive when it comes to the people that she cares about. Violet will trust you until you've given her a reason not to and once you've done that, it takes a lot of time and effort in order to win her trust back. She's sarcastic, she's funny, she's smart, and she's ready to help others in trouble. All in all, Violet is a good person, although a bit cold to the touch.

Violet was born to Cornelius and Aurelia Blume. She grew up with a nurturing mother and an overbearing, controlling father. Though she never outright hated him when she was younger, Violet has never had a good relationship with her father. He never let her do what she want and always tried to control her. He was never above attacking her emotionally and only hit her a few times when she was "acting out." Her mother, on the other hand, was loving and cared deeply for her daughter. Aurelia tried her hardest to instill good inside Violet who she knew would most likely never be able to get completely away from her husband. Secretly, Aurelia was also a supporter of the Resistance and helped rebels hijack medical supplies and other tools she worked with as a researcher. Somehow, she was caught, most likely ratted out, and was quickly arrested. Violet's mother was then sentenced to death and executed, days after she had turned 13. She was left alone with a father she no longer feared, but nonetheless could not stand to be around.

Like her mother, Violet's father was secretly involved illegal activity. He was affiliated with a gang to which he supplied drugs, sometimes dealing them himself. At some point Violet decided to follow this same path. Instead of joining her father, she joined a different crew where she supplied several drug dealers and smuggled various drugs into different sectors. Her father never even knew of her double life until the day she was arrested.
