Ignia Nosfera

After Ignia had finished her lashing out at the annoying boy whom had been annoying her friend. who said it was fine after her frantic apology to said friend. The teacher then decided to speak up quite quickly as he addressed everyone on their performance before preceding to educate them on the next subject on interest. Speed spells. Ignia listened as he continued to make his explanation. It more or less made sense though it would be better to try it out in practice then just from a persons description. Turns out finally they would now be able to do a Turbo duel. The entire day had been getting up this moment. Ignia joined in with the short cheering. It seemed Ryder was also giving everyone their own Duel Runner, the concept appealed to Ignia. It seemed they would have to find a partner though.

Looking through the crowd Ignia spotted Ethel, whom was untaken and almost invisible near the back or would be if she didn't have such striking hair. 9/10 was truly a goddess of beauty, who's body must be praised. Though Ignia didn't straight up say these things to Ethel's face because that would just be creepy. Ignia started moving over moving through the crowd like a green and black snake. At one point she stumbled and saw a card on the floor. It was unclaimed and just left there. Picking it up Ignia turned it over and was met with a familiar face. It was a Familiar Possessed monster, the one she needed to complete the family. It seemed fate was smiling on her and Ignia placed it into her deck with a grin without as much as a second thought as she continued moving towards Ethel. Stopping in front of 9/10, Ignia spoke up "Hey Ethel, wanna duel?" Ignia said her eyes glowing in anticipation. "Or let me guess your busy waiting for a better challenge." Ignia said in her intelligent voice as she eyed the girl with the blue hair with a slight concern for her own safety.

Camryn had been sitting in a conveniently-placed chair in a corner the whole time, watching the whole thing with Ethel and Angelo unfold. Dude, if you keep pursuing a girl who's said before that she doesn't want you, you should probably stop after the first or second rejection. Also, no weird nicknames. Makes you look like a creeper. Though that hoodie does kinda make her look like a rabbit. Ignia's entrance and referral to Angelo by numbers instead of an actual name got an eyebrow raise from Camryn. ...The hell is up with her? People have actual names, y'know, not just numbers. She amused herself like this for a while, until everyone was done with the simulation and Mr. Cellrate gave his explanation on how to Turbo Duel. It was pretty nice to have a refresher on Turbo Dueling; she hadn't Turbo Dueled in a long time, so she had forgotten what exactly the rules were. And even then, it had just been a mock one with her dad; they didn't own a Duel Runner, despite how much she had begged her parents to buy her one. After his explanation, the guy who was talking to bunny-girl came over and asked to duel, to her slight surprise. "Huh? Oh, sure. I'm Camryn. What's your name? she asked, standing up and offering him a hand to shake.

Angelo smiled at her and shook her hand "My name is Angelo nice to meet you Camryn" Angelo said smiling at her thinking it would be a good idea to let Ethel go for now besides he was in no rush. Right now Angelo was just ready to go out and turbo duel like he loved. Angelo would be able to handle the road with the best of them but it wouldn't matter until he can actually win a few duels and right now he needed to get out of his loosing streak. "So do you know if we use the real track or if we are stuck on simulation?" Angelo asked thinking he wasn't sure if they were allowed to use the duel runners in the garage or not since none of them could really finish the simulation itself.

Before Hayato ran out and Shinrei had a chance to reply, both could hear a click coming from the door to the stairwell. If either tried to open it, they'd find it unlocked surprisingly enough.
The woman with Leander and Vincent closed one of her eyes and placed her left hand on her hip when she heard Leander pester her for an identity. "Tricky question." she replied, but in a playful way. A grin sprawled across the mature woman's lips. "Can't say I trust you with my actual name, but just call me Ruki. That's easy enough, right?" she winked at Leander, before jolting in surprise when Vincent raised their voice. And that question was annoying, being met with an exasperated sigh. "Geez... And here I am, putting in some actual effort." was what 'Ruki' replied. They turned around and picked up a card from the top of their deck. "To answer, 'cause you have potential. And that's who they'll target."

'Ruki' turned her head and looked over the shoulder at the poor boy Leander, crumpled over the floor. "Don't worry, you'll be fine. Give it a few minutes and you'll be back on your feet, a day or two and you won't even feel it anymore. I held back." the woman replied, and a clicking sound came from her general direction. Not too soon after, a face-down trap card flipped up out of nowhere. It gave off a huge glow, being aimed to Leander and Vincent, though they couldn't quite catch it's name. "Gotta go, boys!" 'Ruki' cheerfully called out, and by the time the glow faded, both of them were left alone in the room.
Shiyura's dislike for Tsukiko grew at a rapid pace, with the teenage girl being absolutely full of it. She's as naïve to think her dragon fed on only negative emotion, while it hardly did. "Guess I was right. You don't know what you're getting into." Shiyura called out when Tsukiko turned her back to him, but didn't bother to chase or even try to stop her. It seemed the girl was a lost cause, and his tactics needed to change. Somewhere deep down a pity rose up for the girl, but hardly for the reasons you'd expect. The sob story was just that and left the stark-white haired boy unphazed. No, the pity came from Tsukiko's attitude in thinking she could tough it out like that. That she was too self-absorbed to realize how much damage she'd actually cause, and having an ego completely crush compassion. The boy threw a "Good luck." Tsukiko's way, but hardly a sincere one. If she'd turn around after that point, he wouldn't be standing there anymore. At least Tsukiko got what she wanted.
The librarian looked a little taken aback by Brad's tone, honestly not expecting such a hostile reaction. "I-I'm sorry... But we can't do much more than leave it to security..." they replied, just a little shocked. It's not like the entire thing was an expected affair. Luckily, Nathan had come over to pull Brad away before they blew even more gaskets at the rather standard reactions. While maybe the staff's tone should've been a bit different, there's not much they could do besides offer them some shelter here. As the slimmer boy was escorting his friend, a security guard's face clearly tightened up when they saw them pass. Not out of disgust, but more of a mutual feeling of sadness. A bit of time has passed since the start of the event, and it was getting close to what a regular person's lunchtime is. From their chairs, the pair could see another two students playing a mock game over a table. One a boy and another a girl of around the same age, both brown haired but with the female being noticeably taller. She was in Wind judging from the uniform, and the boy in Earth. The girl's eyes couldn't be seen from that spot, but the boy's azure ones lit up in determination. Not everyone had given up hope, at least.
The man with Maisy just kinda... slumped his shoulders at the stupidly simple answer. What a lass. For all that spunk, they had a surprisingly unique train of thought of having no common sense. Though it was fair. But what took the guy with surprise was her asking why he wasn't sitting down. Wasn't that obvious?! Obviously, all villainous parties had to act cool and stand up against a wall! They couldn't afford to look LAME when their target entered, could they? "I felt like standing up straight, is all." was their short and half-honest reply, before looking down at the Duel Disk which started beeping. "Guess I'm out of time. Maybe you'll find out who I was waiting for some other time, lass." the man informed Maisy, the disk suddenly activating. Out of the mirror's sides sprung five individual slots, organized in a V shaped pattern. Picking up one card from his deck, Mystery man activated it. "Spell card activate." they called, and a card depicting a similar mirror to the one mounted on the man's wrist suddenly showed up in front of Maisy's eyes. A flash of light blinded the poor girl, and when it subsided, the man seemed to have disappeared. She did get a good enough glance at the name of the card though, it having read as 'Gishki Aquamirror'.
Ethel was enjoying being alone. It felt good NOT to be bothered for once, and seeing everyone scramble around to try and find a partner to duel. One pair had already taken off to the lanes and was mid-duel, but surprisingly nobody else has. A screen in the far end of the garage showed the Turbo Duel in progress, with one student having a Lightning Warrior out and a set card with the other having a Spirit Reaper in defense. "...Amateurs." Ethel mumbled, finding the display to be wholly unsatisfying. A shade of green was making its way towards Ethel, who was a little too distracted with the duel in progress. So when Ignia appeared, Ethel naturally let out a cute little yelp in surprise. She'd honestly been caught off guard when the younger girl suddenly decided to show up. Embarrassment was flooding to Ethel's cheeks, which were a very faint red. The girl still caught Ignia's challenge, though. "A-A duel?" the bluenette stuttered, faking a quick smile. "Um... Okay. Let's bet," the girl started. She pressed a button on her Duel Disk, which shuffled itself just a quick moment after.

"I'll draw a card. If it's a Speed Spell, I'll duel you." was Ethel's reply to the challenge. She raised up her right arm and drew the card, then couldn't help but break facade. Her fake smile was replaced by just her lips being almost unnoticeably curved upwards. Ethel turned the card's back to herself and revealed it to Ignia. "Speed Spell - Shift down. You win." the older girl informed the younger. It seemed they'd be dueling. "I'll inform him." the bluenette told Ignia, and went on ahead. By the time she'd arrive, Ryder would already be ready to meet Ignia. "Ah, Ignia! Ethel's already told me you two will be dueling. She's already on the main track. Your Duel Runner is number FP-6, take this key to unlock it's garage and push it out onto the inside track. Just activate Speed World II at the starting line. Your runner will handle the rest."

When Ignia would arrive at her Duel Runner's garage, she'd quickly get a good look at it's frame. It had a standard HELIO II frame, one of the better ones on the market. It was agile because of how thin it was, and had an arrow-like design. It's front was a triangle placed at a 60° angle and the bottom running along equal with the floor, and it's body was thinner around the middle and ending in a feather sort of tail. A built-in disk was on it, which actually was a Solid Vision beam instead of a normal metal disk. Two thrusters were modded on it's rear end to allow for a good early launch, but it reduced mobility just a tad. The colour scheme was also a little strange, having six total. At the front was a mix of red and green, with flames consuming a grasslands. That grasslands ended in a patch of blue water around the middle area, where a desert was on the other end. At the back of the runner was a mix of gray and purple, almost looking like a struggle of the moon trying not to be consumed by the night sky. A few streaks of yellow illuminated it, though. All in all, the runner looked like it told a story of some kind.
Haas wasn't in any particular rush, though on a whimsy he chose to go up the stairs instead of down. They were at a random floor by now, wheezing in boredom. "Man... Nothing is happening." he complained, apparently already being oblivious to the fact the academy had practically been invaded. On a whim, Haas decided to enter the room of whatever floor he was on right now. When he entered, it was apparently and Arena floor. Some scratch markings soiled the floor, alongside a few burns. "...Huh?" the boy wondered aloud, sensing some shady stuff going on.

When Haas got a better look at the room, he noticed a girl slumped over in the corner. His mind didn't think much of it at first, so he casually approached them. "Yo. Couldn't find a duel?" the boy asked from a little ways away, then took another glance. Now he could clearly see this person was hurt. Realization hit Haas, and his eyes widened in shock. "Hey, you okay?!" they called out. The girl seemed to be a redhead, and from the same dorm as him. The wind-up duelist shifted into a jog, running over to Megan. When he arrived, he crouched to get a better look in. The region around her angle was torn open, and she had bruises all over her chest and back. "This is bad... We need to get you to the medical office. Hey, are you awake?" Haas asked, not being quite sure if Megan was completely with them or not.

Ignia "Imouto-chan" Nosfera & Ethel "9/10" Cilente "Onee-Chan"

Ignia's challenge had been accepted. Now here she was, taking a Duel Runner onto the main track. Fighting someone who was probably most likely stronger then she was. It wasn't a Shadow Duel though, so she would probably be fine if she lost. Either way she was pushing the bike wondering what Ethel was doing. Her mind was still more so focused on the card she picked up earlier.

Ethel was waiting at the starting line, blue helm obscuring most of her hair and pushing the rest down against her neck. She was resting with one leg on the floor and holding her Duel Runner to the side with the other. She had been assigned a blue modelled ALPHA frame, a W shaped one. It had a sharp triangle resting above the wheels of the front, lowering down into the dashboard and Hybrid disk. Its handlebars jut out the side, and a little behind the frame bumped up agand. The seat was located in the third lower part, making the rider having to bend over to the front for effective steering. The tail has a sharp angle back up again, with the seat being a little extended for those with longer legs. The second wheel was located underneath the tail. The runner's light blue colour scheme had a few neon green striped mixed in, and the dashboard was a deep purple. Its rider noticed the scraping of wheels, looking over her shoulder to see Ignia approaching from afar. "You're slow." Ehtel commented, having been waiting for a little while. Overall, her runner wasn't spectacular, but also wasn't bad either.

Ignia moved her Story-like Duel runner until it was aligned with Ethels, the difference between the two runners was extremely apparent. Ignias was more artistic, more well storylike then some of the others she had seen when she was walking up to this point. Either way her Duel Runner was starting to grow on her. Even if she lost again Ethel it would still be a good thing cause she got to ride her Duel Runner. Her ego may die but her spirit shall never crumble. Either way, Ignia put on her helmet which she had been carrying in the opposite hand to the one pushing the duel runner. She already had her deck placed inside the armband on her wrist. Pulling the helmet down on her head it pushed most of her hair out of her eyes and down the back of her neck, though you could see the odd black hair strands on her face through the helmet. Now Ignia had something to address, "Well sorry 9/10, can't be as fast as you are." Ignia said, occidentally falling back into her common habit. Almost instantly regretting it too.

Ethel looked unamused at Ignia's comment, a frown forming from underneath the helmet. "I have a name." she retorted, then looked straight ahead. Or, better said, down at her dashboard. A few buttons were on it, and one in particular was of relevance right now. "Let's start." Ethel commanded Ignia, swiftly tapping the button. "Speed World II - Activate!" she called. A holographic image of the card showed up on the screen, but the spell couldn't activate until it found an opponent.

"Sorry, Ethel!" Ignia quickly responded as she got on her bike looking, down at the dashboard in a manner similiar to the blue haired one. Ignia's emerald green eyes scanned over each button and taking in the location of each one. It seemed like Ethel was in a bit of a rush though so Ignia decided to be brisker then usually about the whole affair. You can't keep a friend waiting, or at least something you think is a friend. "I agree with that, let's get this show on the road! Quite literally, in fact." Ignia said as she tapped a button, trying to ignore the slightly commanding tone of the person she looked up to. "Speed World II - Activate!" Ignia shouted as the spell appeared on the screen.

A shockwave eminated from the two girls' Duel Runners, and the entire area got dyed purple. The field was now dominated by Speed World II, and a holographic countdown showed up in front of them. Ten unlit lights and a red one showed when both of them needed to drive. The countdown started, each light individually flickering on with slight delay as both runners' automated voices rang with 'Duel Mode on - Auto Pilot Standby'. As soon as the lights hit ten, both of their runners flared up and they shouted:

"Turbo Duel accelerate!"

Shinrei was debriefed on the situation from Hayate though before he could even get a word in he had to cancel his transmission, because her brother Hayato had approached him. He wasn't entirely sure what Hayato wanted though he didn't have time to listen to his advances about how he wanted to harass him about dueling. Right now something was going on and he had to find out the nature of the situation and the current whereabouts of his sister. Hayato informed Shinrei that he had seen a silver haired girl outside who resembled his sister who was with a white haired young boy. He wasn't sure what to make of it since he didn't know anyone with white hair and Tsukiko had never told him that she had been getting involved with a white haired boy which pressed him for concern as the anxiety slowly built up inside his mind.

"I think i saw your sister outside in the desert... she was walking to someone else... which cant make sense right...? she should be in the tower at class..." Hayato said instantly changing his mind about dueling. When he said she was outside of all places he didn't understand why she would be outside in the first place. She wasn't the kind of person who just ditched class since her grades were pretty high tier though she didn't really have anyone to compare them to since she had been home schooled like Shinrei. Shinrei decided that trying to find a way further into Duel Tower was pointless where he ordered his two bodyguards to look around and report back to him they see anything out the ordinary while he go see what this sighting of his sister out in the desert was all about. "Why don't you just stay here. Last thing I need are people who would just get in my way and weigh me down. Besides, you should care more about your sister than my problems." Shinrei said coldly toward Hayato in one of his usual this is my problem stay out of it tones. He then made his way toward the exit as he was going to go search in the desert for Tsukiko.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tsukiko had walked away from the boy who she had met earlier and managed to pass her brother by without even noticing. Neither of the two noticed that they had passed each other, but she was also quite a distance away when the two crossed paths. She was annoyed by the attitude of that boy to think he could just tell her what to do. She pulled her foot back and brought it forward kicking up dust in frustration, because that boy thought he could just tell her what she could or could not do like he was her father. Of course, he wasn't her father and she didn't care about his warnings. Judging by his aura she could sense he wasn't one of the most friendly individuals anyway. Tsukiko had made it back to the entrance where she entered noticing some guys in black suits checking around the area. "Guys in suits? Is my brother back?" She questioned as she went toward the stairs and finally noticed the doorknob would turn. As much as she wanted to look for her brother, she needed to survey the area and see if anything else was out of the ordinary in order to ensure that the threat was gone.

Tsukiko decided that she would climb the stairs instead of the elevator since they looked like someone was using them and it might be awhile until they got to where she was at. If people were in dire need she wouldn't have the luxury of wasting time; however, a part of her questioned the fact she helped people that she didn't even know. She climbed floor after floor noticing the flights were empty which meant the elevators were probably very busy at the moment. She didn't have any problem with having to use the flight of stairs anyway since the exercise is well worth it. As athletic as she was it wouldn't hurt for her to use the stairs anyway. During her climb she swore she could hear someone coming in her direction, but she didn't understand why they didn't just wait or use the elevator. Most people didn't climb the stairs, because elevators were such a luxury. She couldn't see who it was since they were quite a ways up though she might just stop them to ask them about the current situation since she wanted to know about what was ahead of her and if she was watching into danger.

As Nathaniel guided him away, Brad felt himself breathe again. That librarian was just doing their job. He shouldn't have lost his temper at them. He would make amends later.

As they sat down, Brad put his head in his hands. He needed to calm down properly before another person had to deal with his misplaced frustration. "What now...?" was all he could say, his deep voice quivering less and less with each syllable.

Vincent Gulfus

Vincent wasn't exactly satisfied with Rukis awnswer but he guessed thats all he was gonna get, it made sense though to target the wolfs among the sheep so you can actually herd them. Either way that just exemplified the importance of actually getting stronger, so as to be ready for when that time comes. Either way Ruki left by trying to burn out his retinas with a blinding flash of light.

Blinking a few times Vincent felt disoriented, What way was up and what way was down though after a few seconds and alot of blinking the world reformed from a colourless mess. He was alone with Leander, the last thing he heard was Rukis cheerful leave. Yet he could ponder that later, Leander was still on the floor in pain and he probably needed help getting to the infirmary. Bending down almost silently with a look of slight dissatisfaction in his eyes. Vincent wrapped one of Leanders arms around his neck as he dragged the guy to his feet. Brunting most of Leanders weight Vincent started moving. heading in the general direction of the infirmary, cursing under his breath every minute. At the very least if he got injured in the future Leander Has to carry him. That seemed only fair to Vincent.

After a few more minutes of him pulling Leander around he dropped him into the infirmary, said small tokens of "If I get injured your carrying me" And left to wonder the halls. Vincent was quite honestly bored after the woman left. At least she was a actual threat. Either way the bloodlust inside Vincents head needed to be sated for the day. It seemed somebody was going to get it. He was the Chaos Ambassador. He needed to keep that title by fighting, was that selfish, yes most definitely but after seeing what that woman did to Leander. He had to keep moving forward and not lose. Perhaps he was pushing himself a little too hard but it felt necessary after that experience. Or maybe he was just pissed cause he was laughed at.

Eventually through enough random wanderings of the hallway Vincent stumbled on a familiar face of the resident slightly large pain in the ass. Earlier he had asked if she wanted to help but that was mainly due to the situation being better with more man power and she just disappeared. Though he couldn't blame her for that. It seemed Ruki had really gotten under Vincents skin considering the frown across his face when he was thinking about what to do. He spoke up trying to grab the attention of the silver haired one. "How are you doing Tsukiko." He said in a slightly annoyed manner.

Before Camryn could respond to Angelo's question, a screen lit up behind them, displaying Ignia and Ethel's duel. "Well, I think that answers that question. Unless the simulation they're in is really realistic..." She feel silent, watching Ethel and Ignia's duel. At the end of it all, she grimaced. "Yeesh, that Ethel girl is something else. Kinda creepy, too." She turned to Angelo. "Anywho, d'you wanna head out to the track? I think it's around here, and we can just ask Mr. Cellrate otherwise."

Inwardly, Camryn was still processing Ethel's brutality. Man, I thought those two were friends! That was merciless! And who the hell even goes "Kill that monster" anyway? Something's off about that Ethel chick... She kept her musings to herself; after all, blurting all of that out loud wasn't the best idea.

Now that is why I don't challenge Ethel yet. She is relentless and Id love to duel her like that. im right behind you Angelo said with a smile. Angelo was excited to go and duel and seeing Ethel duel like that he had a goal to head towards and that was to take her down a notch. Angelo followed Camryn to where they would borrow the duel runners so that Angelo would finally be able to get into speed of the turbo duel and feel the rush he has been missing

With the adrenaline now wearing off, Nathaniel let out a breath and realized that he was getting tired. Alas, no rest for the weary, it seemed. Not while their school was under attack. Looking around at the other students, he saw that two others were having a duel to pass the time. He was about to try to sneak a peak at their table before he heard Brad from behind him.

He turned and saw that his friend had apparently pulled himself together. Nathaniel rubbed his eyes a little with his right hand before answering Brad with a sigh.

"Well, security's pretty tight around here, so we should be safe for now. They probably know more about all this than we do, so I'm going to go see if I can find out what happened."

Nathaniel then stood up from his chair and headed to the nearest security officer. "Excuse me, sir. My friend and I are wondering what happened. How did these guys get into the school?"

Megan's eyes flew open at the sound of someone's voice. "Hm?" she murmured thoughtfully as she tried to understand what he'd just said. Something about medics? Why was she laying on the floor again? Oh right that stupid duelist. At thought of that fight she staggered to her feet somewhat unsteadily and looked around. Curses, gone. Of course she couldn't have expected the duelist to stay and even then wouldn't have known what to do about it. She'd already proved she was far too weak to duel that person again. She did a quick once over of herself, surpsingly there were no burn marks, though she could still feel vestiges of the pain, the blood from that bite was still very real however. Megan took another look at the person that had awakened her. He was in the same dorm as her, Haas. She remembered because it was such an odd name. "I'm okay, ish. Though I suppose I could use a checkup." she said with a weak grin. Megan took a step forward and nearly fell to the ground, just managing to grab on to Haas for support, resulting in an impromptu hug. "You don't mind giving me some help though do ya?" Megan asked cheerily looking up at him, remarkably unembarrassed.

Tsukiko continued to make her way up the stairs while she contemplated what that boy just told her a moment ago. She found it rather peculiar that he wanted to warn her about the card yet he didn't care about her well-being. She knew that he did care, but he didn't want to show up though she kept those thoughts contained at the time to prevent her from distorting her own words. If he wanted to he could have just taken her out of the picture, but he just wanted to chat which didn't sit right with the silver haired maiden. Most of what he told her she already knew about the card from the experience she had when she traveled with her brother on the World Circuit. He didn't actually account for that fact which made think he might actually be trying to hide something which may prove valuable toward her own cause. As much as she disliked the insolence of that boy and the fact he was of the male gender she couldn't help, but think he was trying to help though she wasn't entirely sure how? Just when she was going to think about it further a familiar loathsome voice interrupted her train of thought and derailed it leaving her mind almost in a train wreck which made her frown.

"How are you doing Tsukiko." He said in a slightly annoyed manner. "If you're so annoyed to see me then why don't you just ignore me like you usually do? You'd be doing us both a favor." The girl sighed when she heard the annoyance which could be heard plain as day from his voice. She was heading back up the stairs and didn't understand why he stopped her. If he was so annoyed then why just walk by her and ignore her completely? He didn't even think to look for her after she had gone missing either. Then again, one would be interested in someone like that woman who could use cards in a way that her brother had been studying about. "Other than being spirited away and kidnapped I'm doing fine. Still a strange way to abduct someone since they only wanted to leave me with food for thought. You didn't come down here to check on me and I already know that. So get to the point? What exactly did you stop me for?" Tsukiko said as she stared at him coldly. The way she stared at him wasn't like the one day when she wanted him dead. When he chased after Maisy like he did even though it might have just been a Good Samaritan act of retrieving her hat and returning it to her it left her with an impression that he might not be as bad as he looks. She was about to apologize for what happened in the past. She didn't really care what happened in the past or the results that came from the past. The only thing important her was the future and how she would press on from there.

Tsukiko appeared to be a very intelligent girl who wasn't easily fooled. The fact Vincent still looked like he felt the same way he did the first day they met didn't surprise her at all. After all, the first day she almost wanted to destroy him, because she felt her father's presence inside of him. That same wicked dark aura which didn't care who it harmed as long as it got the results it wanted. That was until Vincent showed a compassionate side of himself after chasing after Maisy though she wasn't entirely sure why. She shifted her head a bit as she stared down toward the floor not making eye contact with Vincent as she had something she wanted to say. It didn't look like she wanted him to see her troubled face which looked like a hot mess. "I guess you're more compassionate than I gave you credit for. Don't think just because I said that means we are friends, because I hate to tell you we are not. I'll be damned if I trust anyone after all those who I put my faith in ended up treating me like trash. I don't need anymore pain and I certainly don't need someone to shoulder the burden of my agony. If I live this way, I won't have to suffer or be betrayed again. I won't have to be hurt again where all the pain will be washed away by the darkness that will encompass me in time. If I fall to my own darkness, don't you think I'd be saved?"It was obvious from the deep cold tone in her voice and the icy gaze in her eyes that she didn't look like she was the kind that wanted friends or put her faith in other people. Though her eyes told a tale of sadness of one who looked like they were deceived by those who she in. Despite her expression betraying her letting him see the emptiness in her red eyes which screamed bloody murder, she contained herself to make her screams silent.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shinrei searched the entire desert, but he couldn't find any sign of Tsukiko. Hayato mentioned she could have been kidnapped by that individual which started to make him sort of lose sight of himself. Shinrei's eyes became a very fierce diabolical red as the aura around him changed dramatically. A cold expression embraced his face as he survey his surroundings with a very serious look placed within his eyes. He tried to contain his anger from not being there for her so he didn't just lose it and find some random person to vent toward. Hurting a random individual might not be the best idea despite him feeling like his heart had been crushed and sprinkled over intense flames which turned them into ashes leaving almost no sign of sanity left. Just when he was about to go on a rampage one of his bodygards reported he saw a girl with silver hair that looked like his sister headed up the stairs. This news came as a relief as Shinrei had returned to him normal self. He felt like a weight had been taken off his shoulders as he made his way back into Duel Tower to search the flight of stairs for his sister. He would also ask around to see if anyone saw her. At least this person she met with didn't take away one of the most important things in his life. If he lost her, his whole world would come crumbling down.

Vincent had spoken up trying to grab Tsukikos attention and was met with the most obvious response considering how she acted. Anyother day he would of just shrugged it off, maybe respond with a harsh quip or two. Today however he felt drained after having to carry someone to a infirmary and being laughed at. So he decided to respond to the stupid girls pessimistic comments with some reassuring optimism straight from his own view. "I was looking for a duel, had concerns over the safety of my own classmates." Vincent began but soon gave up on trying to skirt the question due to the stare he was getting. "Yet before that it seems like you have some Issues that might need addressing, so I might as well start with those things first." Vincent began as he rubbed his cheek with the palm of his hand to try and stimulate his brain into figuring what to say. He wanted a fight no more then anything, yet Ruki warned to keep the violence down a notch.

"so lets begin with saying this, you are going to hear me out and not interrupt me while I am talking." Vincent said as his eyes seemed to offer some pity to the girl before him. "So the fact I am not ignoring you is simple as you basically said it yourself, You got spirited away like Me and Leander. Its only normal to see if said person was injured or learned anything. So your wrong Tsukiko I was going to check on you later but I stumbled upon you now by chance." Vincent said obviously discontented and ticked off with the girls pessimism. "So lets get to the biggest issue at hand. you. Tsukiko your thought process is down right stupid and your logic is too pessimistic tainted to make any sense." Vincent uttered removing the main point he wanted to get across. He wasn't going to lie though, that felt kinda good to be truthful to someone even though it was a little harsh.

Vincents brown eyes finally set themselves on Tsukiko's face as if they finally could stand looking at her for more then 5 seconds. "Now stop talking about this bloody darkness, At the end of the day somebody you know or care about would stick out their left arm and pull you out of it, So stop forcing yourself down this descent. I just had to carry a guy whom fought the woman from earlier and I don't want to have to carry you but hell I'll do it if I pity you then as I pity you now." Vincent sighed heavily as he remembered how hard carrying Leander was as he continued his rebuttal of her comments. "Again if you never open yourself up to the concept of friends because you fear betrayal then eventually you will be betrayed because you pushed them all away, so a word of advice. I came to this school to this tower, to not only learn more about a card game I love but also to meet amazing people and make friends. Even without friends you can still believe in yourself and maybe if you believe hard enough in the concept of the heart of the cards, that your deck believes in you too. I took my own title not just because I thought it sounded cool but to show that I believed I could make it. Look at me I get overzealous over a card game. Doesn't mean I would wish death upon my enemies, guess you could say that how I cope with my own doubt and I grew to love that part of myself because I grow more determined though also a little more -" Vincent stopped before he finished the last word, noticing he was being a little too lax with his own personal history to the girl. "So anyhow enough about me and my drivel about what you should and shouldn't do, I am just a guy who Loves to fight, so what do I know, so lets get back to my original intention of finding people. Tsukiko I challenge you to a duel" Vincent finished as he sighed once again a weight off his chest, It felt good to be free of having to ignore the problems around him. He didn't care if Tsukiko hated him after that but it was worth saying and he could finally bare to look at her without some disgust in his eyes.

"Let's see here... if I combo this with that then use that... But what if they use Bottomless... geez, problems on top of problems." Joshua said to himself, looking through the cards he had gotten in his structure deck. While there had been a Gem-Knight deck among the starter decks, he had gone with this one since he wanted to try and broaden his horizons while sticking to what he knew. He knew that the Fluffal/Edge Imp/Frightfur deck was a strong fusion deck, though since this was a starter, it wasn't as strong as it could be. Still, it had decent combo potential and he liked that in a deck. It was this that allowed him to win his opening match and get placed into the Wind Dorm

Glancing up, he watched the match going on in front of him for a second. He had come to arenas after the chaos that had occurred later in the day. It helped him just forget about it. He had to guess the whole thing was just one really bad prank, though part of him doubted it since a security guard had gotten hurt. However, he wasn't going to let it bother him. The school was in charge of their safety and he was going to put his trust in it for now.

Sighing, he picked up his cards and put them in his deck box before getting up to walk around and try and find something to do. If he was lucky, he would be able to someone to duel. If he was lucky, maybe he could fight someone from the Light dorm and see how he could do against the some of best of his year.

Amelia Averyonna

"What should I do?" Amelia said to herself as she looked among the packs available in the shop. Her opening match hadn't gone well, in part to her lack of experience and in part of her lack of knowledge of her cards, resulting in her being in the Earth Dorm. Maybe getting more would help her but she also thought it might be best to just study a bit more. Groaning, she left the shop and found a place to sit down before taking out her deck. Going through the cards, she took time to read them and figure out how they worked. But it was going over her head and she was growing steadily more frustrated. "Was this... really a good idea?"

Shaking her head, she pushed such thoughts away. Getting worked up wasn't going to help her. Taking a deep breathe, she went back to studying her deck, determined to figure out how to use it effectively.

Leander gave 'Ruki' a small smirk upon hearing the name. It sounded pretty nice to him. And Ruki was right, the pain was already subsiding. It was more of a strong discomfort rather than actual pain now. Then there was a brilliantly blinding light that forced Leander to shield his eyes with his arm. By the time the glow subsided, Ruki was gone. Leander turned his head from side to side, still wondering how she could do that. Vincent then moved to carry Leander to the infirmary. "Heh, sure thing, buddy," Leander said in response to Vincent's remark to carry him. Now lying in bed, Leander wondered what he should do. He looked down and massaged the area where he got stabbed. It was still uncomfortable, but not unbearably so. Leander then took out his deck and drew the top card. Airknight Parshath. "Hey there," Leander said to the card. He knew the card couldn't respond back, but Leander didn't care. "I guess I need to get stronger, huh? You'll stick around while that happens, right?"

Michelle was at a loss for what to do to help. The two kids Nathaniel and Brad had dealt with the guard, and all she had done was follow the crowd. Fortunately, things seemed to be calming down. At least, there haven't been too many signs of more people getting injured like the guard did. Michelle went outside to find somewhere to gather her thoughts, wandering the halls for a place. She thought back on the incident of the hooded woman, wondering who she was and why she did such a thing. As she turned a corner, Michelle managed to bump into someone, getting knocked back by the impact. "Ah!" Michelle yelled out as she stumbled back a step before regaining her footing. "Sorry about that," Michelle said to Joshua.

Ryder watched both Camryn and Angelo chatting whilst walking up to him, figuring what they wanted out pretty quickly. Ethel had already cleared her course and returned the Duel Runner, and Ignia was just about at the exit to the track. These two aspiring Turbo Duelists timed well, it seemed, because the other track had already been in use at the time. Naturally everyone wanted a shot at a real Turbo Duel, so you had to weasel your way into a track. Welcoming them with figurative open arms, Ryder began to address the both of them: "Camryn and Angelo, right? Lemme guess, here for a duel. Angelo, your Duel Runner is DG-64. Camryn, yours is the one right next to it; DS-7. Go down the garage and stick to the right, you should find them there." the man explained to the both of them. Before Angelo could get out of earshot though, the instructor called back out to them from behind. "Oh, Angelo. Don't modify that runner, you'll get a few base frames to work with when the parts are supplied." they warned the lad, then left him to his own devices.

Both their Duel Runners were different in style, but not in colour. Both had a white-and-gray paint job, but with Angelo it looked like a bike designed as if it is made of two separate parts. Down two thirds was a black line that simulated the illusion of it being clicked together, with the back part of it looking like a scaly tail of sorts. It was thin and elongated, with the wheel resting somewhere in the middle of it. Gray stripes were vertical on this parts, forming rings. The front of the runner looked like a body, with it being a lot bulkier and having a piece cut out of it to make way for the dashboard and Duel Disk, which had to be inserted. Out of the side jutted two 'Arms', which were the handlebars placed vertically. Stripes on this part were either unfinished horizontal ones or chaotic diagonal ones, and two 'eyes' were painted on the front, under which the first wheel rested. The entire thing was jagged and finished off with sharp edges, giving it a home brew feel even if it's not.

Camryn's, on the other end of the spectrum, was a lot cleaner. It almost had an airplane-like design, too. A rounded off, though slim, tip which expanded slightly to the middle, with two handlebars jutting out on the side. She had a support on her back much like the Wheel of Fortune or the Yusei Go, so using them was a little easier than with Angelo. On the back it slimmed back down again, though still with roundness instead of jaggedness and wound up with a little feather to help with the steering. The paintjob on this one simulated a ship, with lines going to the command center and all culminating to the dashboard with a built in, Black-Bird like Duel Disk only gray and white instead of black and blue.
The security guard Nathan approached raised an eyebrow upon hearing someone address them, turning to see who it was. Nathan was a scrawny little boy, so needless to say they weren't really impressed with their looks. She had sunglasses on like the rest of her co-workers, with a full body, white suit somewhat akin to Melchior's attire. The guard sniffed, raising her chin up. "I'm afraid we have no idea. All security cameras didn't show any signs of them entering, and the few entrances we have in the tower weren't disturbed. We suspect some sort of loophole and are looking into it, don't worry." was her response to Nathan. They certainly didn't seem to have any hesitation about admitting to a screw up. "We're getting reports that no more of them are in the building, though we're searching every corner to make sure of that."

Ethel returned and took off her helmet first chance she got, because that thing was getting in the way. She locked up her Duel Runner, closed the garage door, and made her way back to the lobby. Her runner wasn't bad, but the design wasn't quite to Ethel's liking. She'd have to find a way to modify or spray paint it, because she wasn't going to keep driving with that thing the way it is now. But those were all future plans, not for right now. What the girl was more interested in was a certain green cretin worming its way through the crowd, his black hair recognizable now because of his status as pest. Ugh, Angelo. She'd learned her lesson not to challenge him to anything, because that would just end with him acting buddy-buddy. So, she did the smart thing, and avoided him entirely. Camryn, who was with him, also caught Ethel's eye. She realized that the both of them only lost duel to her knowledge, and had to snicker. Losers would stick close to one another. She passed by Angelo, but did throw a quick comment Camryn's way. "An idiot like him shouldn't be any trouble." was that comment. How Camryn took that didn't concern Ethel, who continued to walk past her and take a spot amongs the crowd. The girl placed her eyes on the screen where those two would be shown dueling on, curious how this will go.
Haas nearly started cursing when he saw that Megan tried to get up by herself, scrambling to stand up himself. "Take it easy! You shouldn'-" Haas tried to warn Megan, before they toppled over and proceeded to hug Haas for support. As embarrassing as this pose would be normally, the girl leaning on him was hurt and needed treatment. She asked Haas to give her some help, him giving a nod in reply. "Of course! You can't move on your own like that..." he muttered that last bit. Quickly untangling himself, Haas threw one of Megan's arms over his shoulder and supported her that way. "I'll take most of the weight, let's just move to the elevator." Haas instructed Megan, trying to carry most of her body weight as they walked. It was a bit straining on the average built boy's body, but not taxing enough to deter him from the end goal. Eventually he managed to get Megan over into the elevator, clicking down to the medical office. Haas looked to his side, trying to read Megan's face. "Sorry. I wasn't going to fast, was I?" he asked, concerned for her condition whilst the elevator was riding down.

Joshua didn't get very far before he ended up bumping into someone while walking by a corner. He stumbled back a bit but managed to quickly catch his footing. After taking a second to gather himself, he looked up at the person he had collided with. It was a girl around his age, with black hair, striking pink (magenta maybe) eyes, and a... well developed body. Shaking his head, he walked over to her, a small smile on his face.
"What's there to be sorry about? We where coming along a blind corner and didn't see each other until it was too late. Nothing could be done about that." He said. Studying the girl again, he tried to recall her from the opening duels. Then it came to him. "Ah, you're the Lightsworn girl aint ya? Michelle I think?"

Amelia Averyonna

Amelia didn't have long to study her cards before her D-ceiver went off. Pulling it out, she saw she had a message to report to the infirmary. She sighed, putting her cards away before getting up and making her way there. Chances are they were going to make sure she was okay and that she hadn't aggravated her condition. Them being paranoid wasn't going to do them any favors but she knew that doing what they said was the best option.

Upon arriving, she was taken to a bed and given a quick examination before being told to stay there for a while. Simply nodding at the instructions, she brought out her deck again before looking around. There was one other person nearby, a boy who was likely a few years older then her. It seemed he had hurt himself somehow but she didn't ask questions, instead turning back to her deck to study it. To her neighbor though, her frustration would be written all over her face.

Vincent Gulfus & Tsukiko Ikushirou

Tsukiko didn't know what to think when he said he was looking for her. She wasn't entirely sure she could trust his word either. His attitude lead her to think he was deceptive and liked to toy with people's minds which is why she thought of her father which enraged her. If he's looking for a duel then why is he going down the flight of stairs? This isn't really the kind of place where you'd hold a duel and I was headed back up to see what was going on. I need to assess the situation for myself. She thought to herself, as she was about to just walk by him when he addressed that she had problems that needed to be brought to her attention. Judging by how his tone changed each time he spoke he was serious and he barred her path toward going upstairs and if she knew if she tried to turn around he would grab her hand like Angelo did the other day which she didn't want.

Tsukiko did not like how he just shut her down at trying to say something that she didn't approve. Who did he think he was anyway to tell her what to do? It almost flared her like Shiyura did earlier, but she kept how she felt contained. She decided by the tone of his voice that he was serious about what he was saying. As much as she wanted to just walk away and ignore what he was saying she could not. Besides, after all that happened maybe it wouldn't hurt to hear him out and get his perspective rather than go around assuming that everyone is against her. "Fine." She said in frustration admitting defeat where she would just stand there with eyes on Vincent and listen to what he had to say. Even if he said something she didn't like she would just continue to let him talk. "I'll listen to what you have to say." She said as she crossed her arms and leaned up against the wall toward a platform part of the stairs while she listened to Vincent say what he wanted to say toward her.

As much as she wanted to rage about him thinking he knew what she was going through she didn't. It did irritate her that he was sounding like he was giving her orders like she was one of his subordinates. Though when he said he had to carry a guy it made her think that she was right about the fact he had some compassion. Only someone who cared about life and others would risk their neck for someone else. That was something Tsukiko was not willing to do though one side of her conflicted with her mind making it hard for her to make decisions. It was like small versions of the angel and devil versions of her yelling in her ear like if they were sitting on her shoulder telling her what she should do.

She was about to say something when he immediately stopped talking about relating toward her and challenged her to a duel. One would think he wanted to duel her to understand her better, but you couldn't be sure and Tsukiko herself didn't know what to think. She didn't quite understand why he wanted to do duel her. He had dueled several people and beat them handily so why would he want to duel her who didn't have very much experience when it came to dueling. She noticed a glimmer within her deck which looked like one of her cards had shone for a split second then dissipated. That made her remember what that boy told her. That he thought she was naive and didn't understand a thing about the powerful cards the academy bestowed into her hands. She wanted to take a look at them, but she didn't want to draw Vincent's attention. This was her problem which she was going to face head on later on, but dueling with Vincent right now might give her some experience allowing her to understand these new cards she hadn't even used. She didn't get a chance to use them in Michelle's duel, because she made a mistake. She had to make sure she followed the moves closely as not to repeat that same mistake with Vincent.

"I have no idea why you want to duel me, but I will judge for myself whether I am willing to put my trust in you. You came all this way so there's no reason for me to doubt your words; however, there is no reason for me to put blind faith in someone I hardly even know either. Perhaps this is a test of fate. With that said, I will accept your challenge. I just hope I don't regret my decision. Too many people have betrayed my trust and I am not quite convinced you're any different from them. I will give you a chance to prove yourself though." The girl said as she grabbed her modified deck and slid it into the deck holder on her Duel Disk. She had to get off the flight of stairs, because it was no place to be dueling. "Not here though." She reminded him as she entered one of the doors below her expecting him to follow suit.

Vincent lips were kinda straight as in the back of his head he was either laughing about the ignorance or just the way she talked like this was a drama performance. Either way he had came here to Duel and duel he shall, he pulled the duel disk out of his bag which he had quite hurriedly grabbed when he ran out of the classroom a hour or few ago. So he followed suit, walking behind Tsukiko as he waited for her to eventually stop moving.

Tsukiko lead them out into an open hallway which she thought was a perfect spot to hold the duel. No one was around to interrupt or distract the two and there was plenty of breathing room for summoning monsters onto the field. Tsukiko's expressions shifted to a burning anger as her eyes looked like they were ignited in flames. You could sense the intensity from the aura she was giving off that she looked like she was pissed off. A sadistic smile managed to pierce her face momentarily as she said toward him, "All right, Vincent. I'll invite you to hell." She shook her head in doubt as this wasn't what she wanted. There was no backing down now since he wanted to challenge her, but she didn't think he understood the gravity of the situation he was getting himself into. "Why couldn't you just heed my warnings and leave me alone?" She paused for a moment letting off a deep sigh disappointed that this was unavoidable. "Doesn't matter now, you can see the world from my point of view if that's what you want. I'll also show you a monster like no other that you've seen before. I don't understand why you just didn't walk away or just acted like I don't even exist. You could have saved yourself from seeing this world of hell I perceive. I don't think you know what you're getting yourself into."

Tsukiko had literally had a slight change in personality. Still with the same sob story of her life that she kept referring too that Vincent couldn't give a danm about it also seemed she thought he wanted to know more then just what he intended, she was slightly mistaken but he wouldn't complain and would stay open ears, still she said she invited him to hell, he saw a hallway and a ignorant white haired person. Either way Vincent saw the fire alight in his opponents eyes it seemed like they were intentional trying to cause his battle hunger to pan violently in mind. A battle was a battle regardless of the victims players. Vincent knew more or less exactly what he was getting himself into, a fight and hopefully a fulfilling one at that. Soon Enough Vincent talked. "A fight is a fight and I don't need to be saved." Vincent said his eyes not alight so to speak but actually a dark crimson red mixed in wtih his brown eyes. He puled out his duel disk with the deck already slotted in and placed it on his wrist, grinning ever so slightly as he did so. It was his first duel of the day after all and his deck was waiting to stretch its vast legs. The Chaos Ambassador was awake, alive and ready to pass judgement. "So, I guess ladies first" Vincent said as he activate his duel disk and waited for a response. his right hand twitching slightly as it badly wanted to draw a card.

Tsukiko didn't really pay much attention to anything Vincent said though he didn't say much toward her other than acknowledge his gesture. "Well, aren't you a gentlemen? What makes you think that will make me see you in a different light?" Tsukiko said as she prepared her Duel Disk. She shuffled her deck then put her deck back in its holder. She also slid a card which she didn't use during Michelle's duel in her deck. It was a Fusion Monster that she disincluded during that duel. "Let the reign of darkness begin then. We'll see if you are as benign as you say you are."

When both were ready they called out, "Duel!".

Maisy was still content to wait, up until there was a mirror in her face. ...Was the guy trying to say she had something in her teeth? Or some snot dribbling out of her nose? Nope. "AH!" Maisy squealed, arms flailing as she tried to regain her senses, before flopping, much like a fish, or an idiot, onto her back. Whining, she rubbed the back of her head, before crossing her arms, cheeks puffed out in frustration. "I wanted to meet that guy's opponent..." she lamented, before looking to her notepad and writing the name of the card that had flashed her eyes to near-blindness. "Gishki Aquamirror".

Figuring that she literally had no real reason to be in the cafeteria anymore, Maisy simply got to taking the stairs, all the way back up to the top. Noodle Legs doing their damnedest, Maisy was exhausted once she reached the floor that coincidentally had the card shop on it. Resisting the urge to drool on the windows, Maisy figured she might as well just browse around the card shop, maybe do some planning on what packs she'd buy next. Or just see what was on sale. Stepping on inside, Maisy fanned her face with her hat for a moment before putting it back on, rubbing her eyes. "Nnn...till stings..." she said, really lucky she didn't have light-sensitive epilepsy.
