Maisy hummed in dissapointment, crossing her arms. Either he was lying or was just an ass about it...and jeez Haas was snappy. Not her fault he didn't stick out much. "Absolutely insane. But I like it." she says before giving him a pretty happy thumbs-up. "Everyone knows that the crazy guys are the ones who'll make it big! You've got talent, even if you don't look like it." she says, giving him a solid pat on the back. That bit was true...but no pep talk would get more information out of this guy. Well, it might in a scenario involving water boarding and months of psychological damage and conditioning, but they didn't have the time to waterboard anything right now.

Looking back towards the man, Maisy says: "You can go if you wanna...buuuut I'm gonna stick around. Even if he's telling the truth, I wanna see whoever it is he's waiting for. Besides that...That's a swanky duel disk. I wanna know if its custom or foreign manufactured." sounding pretty sure of herself before she got her notepad out once more. "As awesome as it would be to duel this guy...if scary lady can make tornadoes real, I'd rather not get burnt to a crisp or frozen by some crazy cards...oohhh, I wonder if you used magic jammer it'd stop it. Maybe normal-guy could test it...nah. He probably doesn't have it." she thought to herself, taking a seat at a cafeteria table near the wall that gave her a view of the stairwell entrance, and the guy and just...sorta sat there. Writing things in her notes. "Wonder if I could finish my math homework before this all blows over..." she said to no one in particular...more or less trying to irritate the guy enough to loosen his lips. Or force his hand to reveal that he was related to the lip-stick lady. In retrospect, she'd probably regret everything she thought would be a good idea at this point.

Hayato was halted before he could arrive at the old building by a flock of vultures he didn't recognize from his original studies of animals back home and cancelled his entire trip there and observed their behavior out of curiosity as he always was interested in studying more information about animals after a while Hayato took out the bread he never ended up throwing it as far as he could towards the vultures seeing how they react to human food though he knew it was risky but pondered what might have attracted their attention but shortly remembered that he had tripped and hurt his leg on the way to the old building, Hayato stayed for quite a while to see how these creatures behaved forgetting where he was going in the first place and attempted to take out his notebook but quickly realized he had forgotten most of his stuff he needed as he didn't got the message for lessons yet and checked his D-Ceiver but quickly realized that it he was already late for class

Hayato later quickly attempted to make his way back to the building while walking back he saw 2 people on his way back and scratched his head "People in the desert? i must been out for too long if i start seeing things already..." Hayato said out loud out of habit of being outside "Are they real? or is it just my imagination... being out long enough to be late for class in this heat has to mean its just a hallucination" Hayato Said concluding that it was merely his imagination but he didn't really shake the feeling something was happening and walked back to the academy wondering if something was happening at the old building he wanted to check out he swore people were talking about his father behind his back

When he arrived at the academy he couldn't shake the feeling something was amiss... the entrance doors were locked... and the elevators were not working and he couldn't take the stairs either as the door was locked Hayato got a little frustrated and opted to attempt to kick the door open but sadly the door didn't budge one bit so going back to his room was out of the question and the other options for him were just to wait everything out or to go to the turbo duel area which he honestly didn't really want to get in the way of things and just sat down on one of the chairs in the lobby he didnt have anything else to do anyways taking out his deck and going through all the cards he has in the deck

Hayate was standing by the classroom door after everyone left and had listened in on the conversation that she heard earlier and was curious and walked back in to talk to the teacher "sir... what did you mean when you said multiple incidents... did it happen before we all arrived?" Hayate asked out of nowhere when she came back in "I know this sounds a bit weird... but is there anything i can do help you?" Hayate asked once again after listening to what the teacher had to say "if not... can you tell me a bit more about yourself? Hayate asked naturally as she liked getting to know people even if the situation was dire it was not like anyone would come back to bother them and quickly picked up her paper-craft and put it on his desk "You can have these if you want. though I'm running out of materials... Hayate said pulling out her last sheet of crafting paper out of her bag "Don't worry about your students i'm sure they will be alright if they are not I'll have to teach them a lesson or two..." Hayate joked at the end of sentence but she really did feel like there was nothing to worry about when it came to the group that was in class

Nathaniel took a worried look at Brad, who seemed to be pretty shaken up by everything going on around them. Not that Nathaniel couldn't understand why, it took him all his willpower not to just curl up somewhere. But there would be time for that later. For now, they have to get to safety first. That meant Nathaniel had to choose a path, and he had to choose quickly.

As Brad was now, Nathaniel figured heading up toward more people wasn't such a good idea. It would probably be better to head down to somewhere like the library, where it was quiet and safe(hopefully), so that he can calm down. The library also had lines of bookshelves to hide behind, in the event they hear an intruder coming.

Nathaniel breathed a deep sigh. "I think we should head down to the library. We can hide there until this whole thing blows over."

Megan's opponent had been waiting patiently, not giving any reaction when she burst through the door. Even though they didn't show a sign of body language anywhere, mostly because of it being completely covered, it seems they'd anticipated the girl coming. The taunting did seem to give off a slight reaction, though. The crimson fabric of the cloak got brushed to the side, and one arm revealed itself. The hand was gloved, and a long black sleeve from underneath didn't betray anything about their appearance either. Rather obviously if you knew your left from your right, the man was holding out the left arm. On the sleeve a three-piece disk connecting into a single circle was mounted. It's design looked like a primitive claw missing a thumb, two monster slots on each sides with a single one in the middle. It had a red and orange pattern of flames, somewhat betraying what they were probably using. Without a word the mystery person folded their arm back around to hold it out in front of Megan, and from over there she could see it was curved a little upward so she couldn't see what was behind the disk.

"There is no turning back." their disguised voice informed Megan, as the doors behind the girl slammed shut. The cloak's hood moved itself upwards to reveal a mechanized mask almost built into their face, with metal tubes running down the person's neck. The entire thing was coloured like fresh silver, glinting a pretty gray in the light. The eyeglasses were pitch black so eyes wouldn't have been able to be seen, and there seemed to be a lack of a nose... A horizontal tube ran across the place where you'd normally see a mouth, and a loudspeaker was built on the right cheek which was presumably where the mechanized voice came through from. All in all, they kind of looked freaky and weird.
Leander collapsed in on himself and folded in half, clutching the stomach in pain. The mystery woman didn't seem to mind much, though. After all, the boy had challenged her to a duel and was more than likely aware of the consequences. He hadn't even been able to make a dent in her lifepoints, which was rather pathetic. The Lightforce Sword was a clever little play, she actually didn't have a second Mystical Space Typhoon at all. But by revealing the card so soon he'd sealed his doom, there was no way to stop the onslaught that'd come after. She de-activated her disk, it sliding back into place. Curiously, the other boy hadn't decided to join in. It was a little disappointing, but it was a wise choice in the end.

The woman let out a sigh and brushed a few strand of hair to the side, then heard Vincent asking a question. Two, actually, and both related to the reason she was here. "...Correct. I'm not here for simple destruction." she replied, but before they could get another word in, Vincent proceeded to ask his next question. Namely, if the woman could teach him how to Xyz summon. A slight twitch of the mouth was noticeable, before she actually raised her left hand to cover it. Looking away from Vincent, the woman started to... Laugh? It was muffled and a little quiet, but clearly a laugh. At least it only lasted a second or two, her looking back with an eternally amused expression. "Teach Xyz summon? Me? No way in hell. You don't learn to Xyz, you just do it." was her reply, and judging from the tone of her voice, the woman was a lot looser. "No, no. I didn't come here to teach anything, boy." she continued.

"Excuse me for the jab, Kiddo. But I had to show you you're a little too reckless. Y'see, the power of Rank-Up? The ability to make duels real? I'm by far not the only one to possess that strength." the woman started off, a more serious tone having been taken. She lowered the hand from her face, taking back a few steps. "Don't panic, but there's a few of us around the school. I'm... Not sure what the rest is up to, but I'm here to give a warning to those I find deserve it." the adult explained, placing one hand on her hip and having those amber eyes dart over to Leander. "Keep your head down. People with actual hostile intent are looking to pick off duelists with potential while they're still weak. Unlike me, they also don't hold back. Blondie, you're talented. You've got a natural affinity for the cards, but you're too by the book. You're also, really, naïve. And they'll take advantage of that. As for you," the woman paused, then turned her head back to Vincent. "You're the same as that other boy. Something's not right with you. It might not make sense to you, but your mind's foggy with violence. A natural affinity for battle. Don't get in over your head. Otherwise, you'll end up hurting yourself."

After finishing her explanation, some form of beeping came from the woman's disk. She looked down, only to see a lit up display. From where Leander and Vincent were, they couldn't tell what was written on it. But her face scrunched up into a grimace, which had to show it wasn't anything good. "Time already, eh?" she muttered, relaxing her face and then turning her head back up to the two boys. "Seems like we're not chatting for too much longer. Any questions?" she asked them both, looking extremely bored and annoyed for some reason.
Shiyura had placed one hand on his hip, that dashing smile still playfully dominating his lips. Tsukiko had been very hostile, which wasn't much of a surprise. A great deal of distrust just radiated from her, which was a little bit of a shame. They'd even make sure to scan the area to see if indeed nobody else was around, which the guy found just adorable. What'd make her think he'd have any interest in others? Surely Shiyura'd have put less effort into this lure if just any old person would do. No, there was something about Tsukiko that made him want to pick her out in specific. A reason they'd need this little one-on-one. "Oh, excuse me if I stepped out of my boundaries by asking for your name. I just like to know the name of whom I am talking to, sorry!" they replied to Tsukiko brushing off the question, putting an intentionally joking tune to his voice. The second thing the girl said confused Shiyura just a tad more, though. What was this about her father? Is she that distrusting? What a pain... She didn't even bother to hide her feelings on the matter either, putting up a brave face that looks absolutely faked. The boy could easily see through the ruse, but it's not like they cared.

"Sorry, but I'm afraid I don't know who your father is, lady Tsukiko." Shiyura replied, shrugging their shoulders all the while. "I'd do nothing as despicable as sell anyone out, though. That's just not in my nature, you see?" Shiyura continued, their friendly body posture intensifying a little to have him come across as somebody you could trust to keep their word. The girl continued on about manners and how she didn't trust Shiyura yet, which the boy found funny. Of course Tsukiko didn't trust him. They were a complete stranger, after all, but that'd be fixed soon. "I don't think anybody would dare assume you Naïve. That doesn't quite seem like you, judging from this little conversation we're having." was the guy's response to the whole thing. He let out another small laugh, dropping the hand on his hip down to the side. It casually hung next to a deckbox, secured tightly to a belt. "Hey, I'll show you something." was all they said, before clicking it open. Without breaking eye contact, they effortlessly swiped a card from the pile and held it up in front of him, back turned to Tsukiko.

Now they did break eye contact, just so he could look at the card. A terrifying dragon was depicted on it, with it's mechanized body glimmering a beautiful black. Shiyura's friendly smile faded, and his body language seemed to indicate a more serious attitude. "I'm certain you're familiar with it." he finally spoke, then twirled the card around in his fingers. What Tsukiko then would be able to see was a card she'd indeed have to recognize very well, after all, it is the ace of her deck. The card was a copy of 'Void Dragon'. "I'm not quite sure you know what kind of beast you're trying to tame." he warned Tsukiko, looking dead serious.
Ethel promptly ignored that last comment of Angelo's. She didn't want to waste anymore breath on this cretin, and him telling her to be more humble was a waste of breath anyway. All the girl did was verify she was cute, nothing particularly special. Ethel's ire started to rapidly pick up again, as a certain energetic girl started to mingle herself in just when things looked like they got settled. Ignia. Great... She was calling people numbers again, which was still a little creepy to Ethel. They started picking a fight with Angelo on how he had no chance to score with Ethel. Well, she was right in that fact. Maybe it had some value she lashed out against him, this way the boy might actually get the hint for once.

Ignia quickly turned to apologize to Ethel, who chose to reply with a quick "It's fine." and then turned her attention away from the commotion. It seems the last rider had just entered, so things were looking to move along pretty soon.

When Shiyura said that, she wasn't sure she could trust his words and couldn't be sure if he was trying to deceive her which was typical of her old man. Though she did question why he would use such a young boy to lure her with which is something you found amiss. Knowing that, she knew that Shiyura couldn't have been hired by her father. In fact, neither her brother or her knew where their father went after he mysteriously disappeared making Shinrei inherit the company even though he didn't want anything to do with it. "You're not the kind of person who my father would hire to do the job, I can tell by your words that you do not work for him and in fact judging by your expressions you don't seem to know anything about him. Despite that, I still question if you are trustworthy. Something about you just seems a bit mysterious." She said as she walked one step toward him casually dropping her defense she was putting up a moment ago when she was alarmed by his sudden emergence. Still she kept her distance until she could determine for sure if this person was worth her trust or not. The biggest thing that bothered her is that he was a boy which she just couldn't let settle in her mind without it exploding like dynamite. She hated boys though she would never give a reason why. One could determine something in her past may have caused her sudden hatred for the opposite sex.

Shiyura's friendly smile faded, and his body language seemed to indicate a more serious attitude. "I'm certain you're familiar with it." he finally spoke, then twirled the card around in his fingers. Tsukiko saw him pull out a card and twirl it around his fingers like a baton which almost made her want to reach for her duel disk in case he tried to pull a fast one and attack her while she was completely vulnerable and defenseless. Even though she had intentions of grabbing for it she ignored her instincts and decided to see what this boy was up to. She couldn't get a good glimpse at the card, because it was being twirled around too fast for her to see even the print on the card. She then noticed a glow within her own deck where she tried to find the card that was causing the glow only to have it evaporate right when she tried to grab for it. What was that? She questioned in her mind as she put her cards back together neatly after the glow had disappeared leaving them as they were before she searched her deck for the card. Though she was very curious why this boy caused one of her cards to glow for a moment which she couldn't put her finger on. She felt something inside her body which pulsed through her veins making her feel a little uneasy though the feeling itself was hard to explain.

When Tsukiko got a glimpse at the card it was like a blast from the past. The first memory that entered her mind was the duel against Michelle where she had that flashback which she just couldn't really explain. She thought it was the moment where her brother was about to finish off his opponent where he became wicked and turned his attention on the crowd when his bloodlust wasn't satiated by brutally defeating his opponent alone. Another memory hit her like a brick wall when she was able to shake that one off was when a boy showed a girl a card which looked exactly like Void Dragon. This time the image on the card was legible, but the text was still blurry making it impossible for her to read it. When she came back to the realization that he was holding a card that her brother used in the past her eyes widened and her pupils grew larger as she was nearly paralyzed by the fear of how her brother used that monster to summon a really nasty version of it which could harm people. "Why..." Tsukiko murmured as she was almost left speechless when she got a good glimpse at the card he had. She could see that he had a very serious look on his face when he warned her about that card, but she had already known that it was dangerous when she experienced the card first hand when it was once used by her brother.

"That card, where did you get it? How did you get a version of the card that is like the one I hold? Why are you trying to haunt me with that card and bring memories back that I just want to forget? WHY!!! WHY!!! WHY!!!" She said as she had raised her voice with each time she verbalized 'why' toward the boy. The feeling inside Tsukiko almost felt like she had been shocked by an electrical socket when she was able to feel it more closely for herself. Her breathing became a little more deep and heavy even though she tried to suppress her fear with the same serious look on her face she arrived with earlier. It was hard to stay focused when her mind was clouded and her eyes had almost fallen into a complete empty spell like she had nothing to lose even though she was screaming inside her body. She made sure those screams were as silent as she could make them. "I accept the responsibility and consequences of the monster that I have been entrusted with. Should I be enveloped by the darkness then it will release me from the current despair I feel inside. My life means nothing anymore. There is nothing to live for. There's no purpose in my existence anymore. Death would be a salvation for this damaged mind which is tormented by the darkness of by my brother and father." Tsukiko's tone had completely changed into one that felt lifeless and that was nearly devoid of all spirit. She spoke in a tone that one could easily depict from a prophet though she spoke of death like it was an easy release from her suffering. Her tone was serious though she spoke in a tone that didn't care about anything anymore. Her eyes were empty and completely lifeless and her face looked a bit pale like she saw a ghost.

Turning her back toward him for a moment she then added onto what she said with her voice still sounding like it didn't give a damn still, "Besides, why do you care so much? You don't give a damn what happens to me. It's not like anyone would care if I forfeited my life anyway. So why are you so determined to warn me about an old card my brother used to possess? Why do you care what happens to me? Why do you want me to trust you? I don't understand why you're so determined to win my trust. Then again, all boys I guess are fools." She sighed as she concluded her conversation as she turned her body to the side as she turn her head to meet eye contact with him once again. Tsukiko's mood had completely shifted into her existential nihilist face where she wanted everything to just disappear so she could be released from the misery her memories gave her. They ate at her mind like a Paranas to the the flesh eating away everything down to the bone which made her agonize in pain as she tried to prevent them from fazing her. The mental shock and pain was too much for someone to bear. It was so heavy a burden that it would push someone to becoming suicidal.

Brad slowly blinked, forcing himself to focus on Nathaniel's words. Climb the stairs up or down. To the crowds above or the library below. Brad was relieved to pick up on Nathaniel leaning one way; he wasn't one for making too many decisions on his own. "Right, that's probably tha right idea." He even allowed himself a weak laugh. "Granma always said 'Tha higha ya go, tha harda ya fall.'"

He left out another one of Granma's sayings: 'If ya go down with someone, ya go closa ta hell.' Admittedly, that likely wasn't in regards to this kind of situation.

Pushing himself off the wall and standing back to his full height, he looked down at Nathaniel. He didn't know why but that weirdo magic lady had looked at Nathaniel, so he must be important. He was never on the defensive line for games but Coach always had the players shuffle their roles in practice. Walk a mile in their shoes and all that. It looked like he had a quarterback to look out for now.

"Lead tha way, cap'n."

Megan glowered at the mystery robot man, dude, thing. Thing. Well obviously there was no going back, she wasn't going to chicken out after coming this far, even if its startling appeareance did make her pause. She shook the feeling off and proficently drew five cards in a single motion, "Then lets get started, since you're intruding I'll go first!"

Cellrate scratched his chin as the last student cleared their course, or better said, kept crashing at the first obstacle. Quite the anticlimactic last rider, but you couldn't predict this stuff even if you tried. They gave the girl that stepped out some pointers while she scratched her elbow in embarrassment. The students then had about a minute of chatting before Ryder spoke up for real again, raising his voice to break through the crowds's chatter and making sure everyone would be able to hear him clearly. "Alright, seems like everyone's done! I'm going to be honest, a lot of you did better than some of the previous years. All of you managed to get your Duel Runner started, and some even knew how to get a good starting boost! We'll have these simulations every week, but I have a good feeling about this year. I can safely say that most of you will be able to ride a Duel Runner without any help very soon if this keeps up!" Ryder blabbed, congratulating everyone for surpassing his expectations. "Now, we're all aware that Duel Runners aren't there for just riding. If you would all please take out a Speed Spell, I can explain our next lesson."

The man waited for everyone to grab at least a single speed spell, then continued. "As you can see, these are... A little different from regular Spell Cards. They use Speed Counters, the main driving force of Speed World." Ryder explained, and saw some confused reactions among the crowd. Putting on a patient smile, they decided to take a moment to go more in-depth. "In a Turbo Duel, the field gets dominated by one of the versions of Speed World. Every standby phase, each player in the duel gets one Speed Counter up to a maximum of twelve. These Speed Counters allow you to activate Speed Spells, and any other Spell that you would try to activate would fizzle out and be negated." the instructor spoke, giving a quick overview of Speed World. "As you can imagine... It's Turbo Duel time!" Ryder gave a knowing grin, and the room burst out in cheers. He let them for a good ten, twenty seconds. But then Ryder quieted down the mass again, intent on getting this on the road.

"First, we have to assign all of you a Duel Runner. These are academy supplied runners, but you'll be the only one able to ride them this year. If your parents, or you, buys you a permit, you'll receive that Runner as your own and do what you want with it. Take good care of your Duel Runner, if damage befalls to school property you will need to pay for it unless it was a technical malfunction." was what Ryder laid out to them first and foremost. This was important information, after all. "But, we've already picked one for each of you. Instead, go pick a partner!" he cheerfully commanded, but quickly added the second part to it. "When you've picked a partner to Duel, come see me. I'll show you to both of your Duel Runners, and assign you a track." Ryder finished the explanation. Not too soon after, though, and someone from the crowd asked: "Sir, how many tracks are there?" to which the instructor cheerfully added something of his own. "Good question! Normally we'd only use the outside track, but for the first day we are allowed to use the Tournament Track as well. I can monitor both, so we'll have two tracks. Those wanting to Duel will need to wait until a track is free to do so."

And with that, the Turbo Dueling students were left to their own devices for a little while.
Wilhelms looked a little defeated when pretty much everyone in his classroom save for about three left. He slumped into his chair, muttering things about 'Needing to have shut the door on them'. One particular student waltzed right back in, though, which surprised the middle aged man. He hadn't expected anyone to be coming back... It seemed to be a girl, judging by the uniform, and coming from Wind too. She was uh... Quite a tomboy, actually. He actually had the impression that if she hadn't been wearing that uniform, for sure he'd think they were a boy... "Sir... What did you mean when you said multiple incidents? Did it happen before we all arrived?" they asked the teacher, who turned in his chair and placed his elbows onto the desk in front of them. "No, no. It seems there's multiple people, not just that woman from before. They all attacked at once." he replied, letting out a sigh. The girl then offered to help, gave him some sheets of paper, and tried to reassure the guy. Honestly, it wasn't really helping.

"Thank you for trying to cheer me up, but there's no reason. All we can do is wait until it blows over." the teacher responded to the various offers, and even politely refused the hand-me-down. It seems they were a little too bummed out to be of much conversational use.
Nathan and brad made their way further down the stairs and entered the Library, where a few security members were standing guard and searching the area. A few other students had taken refuge as well, and one could be seen comforting their crying friend in the corner. It seemed like everyone's spirit was a little down. The staff members noticed the two boys enter, and beckoned them to come further inside. "It's been a bad day, hasn't it boys?" one of the receptionists commented, who was kicking back an reading a book. ""Feel free to grab anything, until this situation's blown over you don't need to worry about renting it. Pick something and just read, it'll ease your mind." they continued, trying to give their friendliest smile before returning to the book.

Getting a good look at the library would see it was pretty expensive, with a lot of shelves lined with all kinds of things. There were novels, history books, dueling guides, magazines, comics... A varied amount of material for what one would need in terms of recreation. They were ordered in lines, with a clear glass casing on each side to guide you to the section of your choosing. A bit more searching would also reveal a closed cabinet with videos inside, though all of them on Duel Monsters. These were probably for those able to access something that could play video, as the vast amount are professional replays and tutorials. The two boys could choose to find a person to talk to, be they staff or student. Kicking back and reading something was also a possibility, or they could throw themselves back into the chaos and look for something.
Megan's opponent did not give a reaction to her desperate clinging to consciousness, instead opting to simply de-activate their disk and withdraw the hand. Slowly, they walked over at the barely functional girl who lay sprawled like a ragdoll. "Our name is 'Reborn'. Remember it, and become stronger." they replied whilst looking down at the girl, then raised their chin up again. They walked by Megan and through the door, intent on leaving her in that state and not looking back. Once they left, it was as if their presence had been gone from the academy entirely. No matter how one might search, finding this masked person was impossible. They also didn't pass by Hayato, so one had to wonder how that person escaped.
Shiyura had to do his best to withhold a groan at Tsukiko's over-the-top reaction to the reveal. A simple twist to show her what it was, and suddenly they were into mental breakdown territory. The girl's entire body tensed up and took a reclusive stance, obviously trying to protect itself from whatever threat Void Dragon caused to Tsukiko's past. "Your brother isn't the first duelist with the gift of this card's aid. And by the looks of it, not the last either." he replied in response to the girl's freak-out over where he got 'Void Dragon' from. Figuring she'd gotten the point by now, Shiyura pocketed the card again and took a step back. Might be best to not get too close to her at the moment.

Then something strange seemed to trigger in Tsukiko's mind, as she suddenly started to list off several very self-loathing things. "Are you done?" was the boy's comment by the end of it, closing their white eye and only keeping the other half-open. Shiyura flung his hands behind his head before continuing. "You make an awful lot of assumptions, lady. I never said I was concerned for you. I'm concerned for everyone around you whilst you run around with a force you hardly know how to properly use. How egotistical." he called out, putting the girl on the spot. But that didn't stop the verbal assault.

"If you really didn't care, why bother tell me? If all boys are fools, why think much of the card? Clearly you're a hypocrite, too." was the next part of the insult train, but also the last. It was probably enough fooling around, Shiyura figured. "You can't control that card. It listens only to those who have made a deal with the devil himself." the boy told Tsukiko, opening their eyes wide again and placing one hand on their hip. "You'll end up hurting yourself in ways you never wanted... And it's clearly connected to haunted memories. What makes you think you can handle that card?" he asked her, clearly having given up on being friendly. There was no reasoning with the girl.
The person Maisy was trying to annoy gave a sigh in defeat, completely out of ideas on how to get rid of her. Worse still, it seemed his particular interests weren't present in the academy. Which was fair, knowing them they'd have snuck out or tried to find anything related to the guy... Still, he'd have expected at least one of them going over to the cafeteria. That's the reason he chose this location in the first place... Haas had just walked through the door, and now only the girl remained. "For the record, I had this disk made for me thank you very much." he quickly bit at her, then stared at the entrance. "Girl, what do you want of me? I have literally NO clue why you're still here." he asked her, still not moving from his position. It actually didn't seem like the guy was being completely dishonest. Nor did he really seem to want to move the girl with force. Actually, they were kind of wimpy in that respect...
Ethel giggled to herself as she saw the last girl utterly fail to impress, thinking of hilarious ways she could mess with them later. The bluenette's spirits were lifted again, and she was quick to pick up on Ryder having something to say. When he asked everyone to grab a Speed Spell, Ethel did. Shift Down. It read 'Remove Six Speed Counters', which she still didn't quite get. The teacher was quick on the draw though, and quickly went over Speed Counters and Speed World. A duel where your actions are changed due to a field spell... It was like Action Dueling. Ethel had seen some of Crow Hogan's exhibition matches as study material, but never really figured out Speed World until now. What a revelation. The topic quickly shifted to the actual duels, and Ryder wanted to have the student body pick among themselves. "Tch. Let them come to me." she mumbled to herself, blending into the crowd and taking a spot in the back. She'd just accept whoever wanted to challenge her when the time's right anyway.
Haas got rejected, and shrugged his shoulders in response. "Sure. I'll see you around, then." the boy replied, then turned around and exited stage right. He left her as if they just had a casual conversation, blissfully unaware of how dangerous this could've gotten. Once on the stairwell, the boy looked to his right and left. Nothing. Cool. He chose to just casually stroll back up the stairs again, and see where his whims decide to take him.

Leander hadn't quite expected the damage to hurt so much. Through his pained grimace and his strong breathing to try to control the pain, though, he grinned. The experience he just went through was too unbelievably amazing to not grin at. Leander tried to get back on his feet, but the pain forced him back down onto his knees. Leander did perk up when a conversation sparked between Vincent and the mysterious lady, making him raise his head to look at the two of them. Leander had no experience in Xyz Summoning, but he was also curious about Rank-Up Xyz Summoning. After all, with such a powerful monster that had attacked him, how could he not be interested?

Unfortunately, it didn't seem like the lady was willing to divulge her secrets on the matter. Disappointed, Leander was about to drop his head back down when the lady began to talk about the two of them. Leander was a bit confused about everything, but he did understand enough to catch the parts about others with powers like her, and how she expressed Leander's good and bad points about him and his style of Dueling. It seemed like the conversation was drawing to a close, though, so Leander had to ask a question.

"Who are you?" Leander asked. Leander knew that the question probably wouldn't be answered, but it couldn't hurt to try.

"Your brother isn't the first duelist with the gift of this card's aid. And by the looks of it, not the last either." He replied in response to the girl's freak-out over where he got 'Void Dragon' from. When Shiyura had mentioned her brother having the card she was caught by complete surprised which nearly paralyzed her into a statue. She was not sure how this person knew about her past, but it seemed they knew something about her brother. Her brother discarded the card into the sea yet he knew he used the card once before. It was probably one of those acquaintances in the past that her brother met that she didn't know about. There were quite a few of those since she would ask him about his day back then where he would just flat-out ignore her. Her body was immobilized by the fear that had just surged through her body as her eyes began to widen where her pupils almost burst from how much they bulged.

"You make an awful lot of assumptions, lady. I never said I was concerned for you. I'm concerned for everyone around you whilst you run around with a force you hardly know how to properly use. How egotistical." He called out, putting the girl on the spot. She scoffed at the comment about him being concerned about the well-being of others where her scowl was replaced by a very sadistic looking smile which made her look like she enjoyed inflicting pain on people to satisfy her reprieve. The fact he said he cared about others almost made her laugh like a hyena. This was a sudden shift in Tsukiko's personality which was probably quite unexpected. It seemed certain words changed the way the girl thought and her mood completely. "Why do I care about others? They have done nothing but cause me pain. If they suffer then that's not my problem. They don't care about me and I certainly don't give a damn about them. You're a fool to think you can understand me so easily." Still her very cold expression was on her face, but that bloodlust still lie wait within her eyes of wanting to claim her first victim to satiate the suffering she felt from her past. The fact was she trusted absolutely no one and that wasn't going to change with this person warning her about the card. The fact the card caused tragedy fed her lust to unleash that havoc on others if they got in her way.

Her sadistic influence disappeared as the dark aura that slightly embraced her body evaporated. Again that cast iron scowl that wanted people to leave her alone returned, but a rather serious glow within her eyes that gave people the impression that she had become a little more serious than she was earlier. "To ask me to stop using a card is a very foolish endeavor. It just makes me more curious about the gravity and reality that surrounds this card. Perhaps I will find a lot of the answers I've been looking for as long as I let it feed on my despair. I'm tired of weakness. I'm tired of running. I am not weak and I refuse to run. You cannot stop me from using this card. I will continue to use it until I find the answers I seek." She grinned slightly as she had just confirmed that the card would be a step closer toward finding out what she wanted to know. It was obvious she wasn't going to stop using the card moreover she wasn't about to tell him why she wanted to continue to pursue what the card was drawing her into. If it was the midst of chaos that would envelop her, she would face it head-on. Only a coward would run from the reality of the card.

Tsukiko decided to turn her back toward him and walk away without saying another word. There was nothing more she needed to learn as he gave her all the details she was seeking. She didn't care if she was causing tremendous strain on her body, because she would push herself beyond her limit even if it was the end of her. Mere catalysts that became innocent bystanders were nothing more than collateral damage in her eyes. If they were smart, they would not impeded her path toward discovering the truth behind the card and why her father was so interested in the her and her brother. "I have nothing else to say to you. Leave me." Those were her final words as she walked away from Shiyura. There was probably nothing more she could learn from Shiyura though she was curious how he knew about her brother. As much as she wanted to ask him about that it wouldn't really serve any purpose toward finding out the truth so she discarded the idea. Tsukiko decided to make her way back toward the building. She had wasted enough time outside and she didn't want to stick around and listen to anymore pathetic sorry excuses for why she should stop using the card which she wanted to know more about.

Shinrei had arrived at the academy noticing there was some kind of commotion going on. He still questioned that feeling he felt earlier. That feeling was almost if his sister was directly connected to him somehow, but he still didn't know how that bond was formed. It was a sickening feeling since he could immediately sense she was in some sort of danger. It was just like the time when he was with Hayate. He was constantly getting distracted feeling like he was helping Tsukiko duel yet he wasn't there himself. He couldn't really explain the event since if he told anyone they'd laugh at him telling him he was delusional. Of course, anyone else who didn't have that ability would think that you were completely out of your mind. Shinrei accompanied by three of his bodyguards emerged out of the limousine that pulled off as they went into the building.

When he opened the door to the entrance he noticed it was still light. He thought he could also sense a mysterious barrier around the area that prevented people from leaving the Floor 1 though he couldn't explain it. His first option was to use the elevator, but it was obvious no power meant no elevator so that option wasn't available to him. But the elevator being out and the lights still on made him ask what was going on? He thought about using the stairs, but there was that mysterious force to deal with which probably was what made the door feel like it was cast iron metal if you tried to knock it down. He would have to regroup with his men to weight what options they had available to them as they surveyed the First Floor seeing if anyone was on it. It wasn't like he cared about the other people on the floor. Rather it was he wanted to know if they had seen his sister, because he was almost raging inside when he couldn't reach any of the other floors to aid his sister if she was in danger.

Bad day...? The blase comment contrasted rather sharply with the crying student's lament. "Why d'ya think this'll all just blow ova?" Brad felt like he should've been yelling this but his mother had taught him that a library was a sacred place. Instead, he just spoke in a particularly angry whisper. "I had ta carry a security guard down ta tha nurse's office, which is packed ta burstin', after some crazy lady used him ta knock down tha classroom door! Then she used some sorta hurricane thin' an' nearly truly took ma head off with a desk!"

Brad looked at the sobbing teen. This whole mess was madness... They were just kids... "What in tha name of tha Light is goin' on..."

Angelo sighed as he watched everything unfold. Everyone was done with their practice and now the teacher had something to say. Angelo listened as he explained speed spells and it wasn't like Angelo wasn't at all familiar with the concept of speed duels he did practice after all. now it was exciting now they would vote for who would go into the actual speed duel next. Angelo looked around to try and see who he should duel. He hasn't been able to get out of his loosing streak yet and he did just piss Ethel off with calling her bunny so it wouldn't be the best idea to duel her at least not yet anyways. So that left both Camryn and Inga and since Ethel was taking a shine to her Camryn was his only option so he went over to them and said "I duel you if you don't mind" Angelo said unsure of what else to really say after all he did get farther then anyone else in the simulation so that should speak for his own skill in terms of speed duels on a closed course. Angelo didn't care who he went up against he just wanted to finally feel the speed of a turbo duel since he got here.

Cassie was leaning against a bookcase. She was wearing rather a rather tight fitting workout shirt and short shorts. A few beads of sweat could be seen on her forward as well as sweat stains underneath her armpits. Her head was bobbing to the music that was playing in her headphones though she looked quite peeved.

Ugh, it's bad enough I got hauled off mid-workout but now I have to be stuck with these losers?

She turned her head and noticed Brad.

Well he's not to bad I guess. That acne can be taken care of with some topical cream.

Nathaniel breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that the library was a safe zone for the students stuck in this calamity, though he felt his chest tighten when he saw just how hopeless they were. And then there was Brad. From the looks of it, the stress of the situation had really taken its toll on him. He himself wasn't feeling too great either. He could feel the cold sweat on his back, and his heart was beating so fast he was afraid it could burst at any moment. As much as he wanted to grill a staff member for some answers, perhaps they were both overdue for a rest.

"Come on, Brad. Let's go sit down for a while." Putting a hand on Brad's back, Nathaniel gently escorted his friend to some vacant reading chairs.

As Nathaniel sat down, he put his face in his hands and took a deep breath before looking up again. As he gazed around the library at the students lucky enough to take refuge, he could not help but give a wistful sigh. "I hope the others are okay."

Ben, and Andre sat together Ben was worried about the other students in the school he hoped all of them were fine and he could only hope the situation could be resolved soon. Andre on the other hand was not afraid, nor was he worried. He knew this was just a big scare that would be mumbled over and then go away in a couple days. Maybe the cops would come and maybe they would set up some restrictions on the school. Maybe some kids would even drop out. He personally hoped that it just was brushed under the carpet as a lunatic with some stupid new technology. At least then the kids would just spread rumors about that one person instead of some big conspiracy theory filled bull. But only then he heard 'multiple incidents and he groaned loudly. "Are you kidding me...really? We're going to die aren't we? God damn it...just another case of wrong place at the wrong time." Andre said as he spit into a nearby trashcan as he looked at his deck. "Figured someone would want to get noticed what better than a duel academy." Andre muttered as he resigned himself to the situation. "Hey don't be such a nihlist dude. We'll survive this together both of us...hopefully all of us. Even if I'm too weak to help others I know someone is at this school. In the direst of times there is always a ra-" Ben started as Andre glared at him. "First off gag me. Second who talks like that? Third what the heck is wrong with you this is real life not a fairy tale Ben. This situation is hopeless."

Vincent Gulfus

Vincent had been shot down. The woman had refused to tell teach him how to Xyz summon telling him to just do it almost like she was saying it was childs-play. That was probably the closest he had actually come to being damaged at the school besides his pitiful entrance exam. Neither the less he tried to push that inkling of self doubt to the back of his mind. Besides turns out the woman whom had literally shanked fairy boy in the stomach causing him to keel over was actually not her to harm them. Though more to instate a warning.

First she addressed Leander calling him out for being way too by the book, though she did compliment something Vincent also saw when he watched the duel. Leander had a potency for the cards he used. Then the woman went and said something that made Vincents eye twitch. Not like a subtle twitch like he got dust in his eye. But you could quite literally see his entire face recoil at the comment. Yes he was battle hungry, which might constitute as something wrong with him but he was getting better with age. Saying that he still had a little bit of hunger to fight the woman but it seemed like she was leaving. Much to Vincents dismay. Leander then asked her the question of who she was. Fairy boy, yes fairy boy got rid of the big elephant in the room. So Vincent decided to join upon the band wagon and interject with his own question. "Why did you even bother to warn us then?" He said his face still obviously contemplating her previous comment. He wasn't that bad was he? nah he couldn't be, nobody was bleeding on the floor.

Maisy seemed to actually be making pretty decent progress...at least with her homework. She still had no idea what the hell the glasses' guy's deal was. In fact for a minute there she'd nearly forgotten about him. Not really. Maybe. Probably. No. Unfortunately Haas didn't stick around for her to ask questions about the homework, but hey, it was his decision to go anyways. She did say he could stay if he wanted. The glasses guy did recapture her attention at the explanation that his disk was custom made for him, at which point she gave a little smile towards him. "I was mostly asking since it looks really cool." she confessed, being completely honest. Anybody with a custom disk must either be good enough to warrant wanting to stand out...or just had money to throw around. But hey, it looked cool. Though she did have to wonder if it had some sort of connection to his deck or something. That seemed to be a running thing with pros and comic book duelists.

Hearing his question, Maisy hummed in mild interest before putting her notes down. "Well, I don't really feel like I should answer that, since you didn't tell me who you were waiting for here. Buuuut...I will anyways. I'm waiting here because I wanna see who you're waiting for. Since you have a duel disk already on your arm and you clearly aren't a student, you must have come here to duel someone for some reason. And there's now way I wanna miss out on a duel if it's gonna be exciting!" she confessed. She really did just wanna see who this guy was meeting and for what purpose, and besides, it wasn't like this guy had actively tried to harm her. Aside from telling her to scram and being kinda sketchy, he hadn't done anything wrong as far as she knew. Thinking about how long the man must have been standing there, Maisy says: "You know, there's a lot of seats in here. You don't have to be standing the whole time you're waiting Mister."

Reborn? What was that supposed to mean? Of course Megan wasn't for much for thinking right now as she was barely holding her eyes open. Helpless she watched the cloaked person walk away. Ugh, she'd been useless again. Mental note: look up Evolsaurs and pendulums. She couldn't keep going into duels blind like this. Megan dragged herself to a nearby wall and sat in the shade quietly thinking. Within a minute she was fast asleep, softly snoring to herself. Apparently the stress of recent events had proved too much for her. But hey, she wasn't dead and she wasn't missing anything, physical or otherwise. So it could've gone worse.

Hayate sighed and made her way towards somewhere else not really sure what to do and she was out of paper so making more paper-craft was out of the question and stopped to think "Tsukiko and the others didn't return yet..." without thinking she instantly took out her D-Ceiver to contact Shinrei whose Contact information she got the day she was at the old building with him of course ensuring she was alone she ran towards her room and waited for Shinrei to hopefully pick up the d-ceiver to give him the message he has the right to know what was going on considering he never showed up for class for whatever reason maybe her brother was with him once she heard a connection she instantly started explaining the situation at and putting priority on the fact Tsukiko has gone missing and telling him to look for her and that she could be anywhere at this point

Hayato noticed Shinrei entering the building and got up out of boredom he really wished for someone better to show up and thought of challenging Shinrei out of boredom putting away his cards and walked towards him not really expecting him to accept the challenge considering his track record "Finally someone showed up... this place has been empty for a while now... Do me a favor and duel me... though i did notice something strange earlier back when i walked back here... Hayato paused when Shinrei had received a call from someone on his D-Ceiver which struck him as odd then continued when the call ended "I think i saw your sister outside in the desert... she was walking to someone else... which cant make sense right...? she should be in the tower at class..." Hayato said instantly changing his mind about dueling "I can take you there if it interests you... Hayato offered but instantly added "In any case i'm not planning to break my promise to you... so i'll go check it out anyways... who knows maybe that other person has taken her hostage" Hayato said instantly sprinting towards the direction he saw Tsukiko and the other person
