I'm going to be heading out of town for the weekend tonight so as a warning I won't be able to post again until like Sunday evening.

Turns out I'm not leaving for the weekend, but goddamn.

I like collabs and all, but if you just keep relying on using them heavily then you get problems. Hold-ups, slow patches, inactivity. Ultimately it's designed to save time and space but it can easily waste both. You guys shouldn't be writing collabs right now when there is no real need. :p

There is a need for collabs though. There's a six post limit per person for this particular test. That means that, if you want substantial interaction to happen, or any sort of group fight, you'd need to collab in order to fit things together.

This is quite literally the first story arc. There isn't a need for anything substantial. It's an introductory phase. The six post limit was put there to expedite the process and get to the meat of the story where there will be plenty of time for substantial interactions and complex actions. The collaborating is what has forced KoL to use an actual time limit rather than just a post limit because the whole thing is getting held up by people trying to bypass the original constraints.

It's the first story arc, yeah, but it's also the story arc in which everyone decides their teams...even though it's a random process.

Hm...guess people shoulda just left it up to the gods, instead of make up reasons for their characters to meet up in the city and have some chattering. It's a pretty massive coincidence that they didn't find totally random tarot cards as well. XD
