Joseph

POW! POW!

Two gunshots went off. Another crewman had walked into the scene, gun in hand, firing it into the air.

"Next one is going into one of you. Knock it off!"

Joseph laughed at the crewman with the gun, deciding some drunken lout wasn't worth getting a bullet in the chest. After all, I'm sure there's people here with much more interesting magic than a little physical buff. he thought in amusement. Glancing across the boat. Joseph waited for the boat to reach it's destination...

"Want to come with us and explore this wonderful island?" She flashed all three of them one of her bright grins, a signature move of sorts.

Joseph, deciding hanging around a group would be a better idea than drifting off alone, decided to tag along. Since he wasn't invited, of course, he decided to activate his invisibility magic, tagging along silently and invisibly until they reached the coffee shop.

"There's no 'blood mage' here, is there?"How 'bout you, Jacket? You've been very shifty there. Not a blood mage, are you?" "I don't think anyone here is a blood mage. If they went through the trouble of putting a sign up, they probably have some way to sense blood magic."

Suddenly turning off his invisibility magic, Joseph grinned and said, "True, blood magic sounds interesting. I'll have to start learning it at some point, if it's seemingly taboo that probably means it's pretty strong, huh?" getting a glare from the shopkeeper who stayed in silent hostility towards him. Going up to the counter he just ordered a glass of warm milk, quite unfitting to his personality, and took a sip.

Finian Callahan

It was interesting to see the others chatting with each-other but Finian wasn't really in the mood to talk to the others he just sat there, quiet while drinking a bit of his coffee. It was just how he liked it and thank-fully Prism moved on from him to talk with other girls, actual girls. Finian's eyes perked up as if interested by the topic of the blood mages. Why weren't they so involved in with the others? Was Prism a blood mage as-well? These were questions that ran through his mind but he decided not to speak upon it and sip some more of his coffee. Finian turned his head slightly over to John as he rose an eyebrow while slowly nodding to his statement. There wouldn't be none Blood mages in their little group, and even if they were... it wasn't nothing bad or anything. Finian wasn't judgmental or anything -BUT- if they did mess with him or his family/friends they would suffer very very bad consequences. For examply, Finian could totally turn into a very very bad boy, oh yes he can. "Hehehe.." he started to giggle to himself that the others could even hear him out if they were near him. Finian stared down at his cup of coffee as he brushed his hair off his shoulder and pushing it over to his other side of his shoulder. There were some males that were still staring at him and whispering but Finian just ignored them and his attention went back to the conversation.

Benjamin looked at Prism as she directed a question at him "How 'bout you, Jacket? You've been very shifty there. Not a blood mage, are you?" Taking note of her suspicions, she was indeed to say the least becoming annoying with how perceptive she was despite how ordinary a person who is carrying a plant on their back could be. Looking at her with a blank stare he responded simply to her question that was directly and bluntly directed to him.

"I'm not entitled to indulge that to you and even then, you're not even someone I am well acquainted with either way to reveal anything that personal so I'd would like you to refrain from asking if I am a or anyone else is a blood mage bluntly. It is to put it plainly, rude to ask someone that in public or just call someone you met as shifty." He said to her with a silent yet intense stare that was unbreaking, creating an eerie silence for a mere moment before he broke it off. "If you have a problem with me, we can go outside so we can settle this dissonance. I'd happily oblige but if not then let's continue to on out exploration of the island." He finished, sighing as he took a seat once more looking a Prism wondering if she'll take the offer to go fight. While he might not have a way with words, actions will speak louder than them.

Sighing once more as he finally finished his drink, thankfully as he was caught surprised by invisible member who was failing them. If there was anyone that Prism should be worried about, it'd be him. He thought with little concern of making a comment to his narrow minded view on blood magic. Even something simple as using water magic could kill anyone or any magic in general can be used to kill. Blood Magic is just given the stigma of being evil when in truth is much more useful and helpful than most magics combined. He sighed more wondering how narrow minded these people were as he waited for the rest of the group to be finish. Ignoring Finian's laughing in the background and the whispering that came along with it.

Sera Kennithson

As the group all drank their beverages of choice Prism brought up the questionable sign outside,"There's no 'blood mage' here, is there?"How 'bout you, Jacket? You've been very shifty there. Not a blood mage, are you?"
"I don't think anyone here is a blood mage. If they went through the trouble of putting a sign up, they probably have some way to sense blood magic." John quickly interjected.

Suddenly someone new popped into existence - quite literally - someone tall, with pink hair and blue eyes, deciding to join in with the conversation that had started, "True, blood magic sounds interesting. I'll have to start learning it at some point, if it's seemingly taboo that probably means it's pretty strong, huh?" he said openly - or maybe it was to himself. Had been been following them unseen all this time? Invisible? Or had he watched from afar and teleported to them only now? Perhaps there another magical method he had used to achieve this?

Sera's reaction was quick, almost instinctively activating her magic which was a new feat to say the least, usually it required intensive concentration. The two knives she owned burst out of her bag and circled her coming to a floating rest pointed at the newcomer. Perhaps it was because she had already enchanted the two weapons? She would have to experiment with it later... after she fixed the hole they had caused. What to do next didn't come so naturally, she sort of sat there for a moment or two. And then she threw what remained of her coffee over him, yelling "And who in the hell are you!" as she did so.

As Prism observed her companions' reaction to her inquiry, she silently wondered if she should have just left the topic alone. There seemed to be a heavy cloud of hate and hostility that surrounded it, and now it seemed to have tumbled over their little group. This has not been how Prism saw their trip going, especially not with how Jacket had reacted to what had been a playful and jocular question.

She raised her hands in a show of defense as she received the challenge of a fight and stern stare. No, she would most definitely not like to fight, but if Jacket made a move against her she'd have no choice but to defend, right? She side-eyed the cafe's owner who had been watching them the moment they walked in with distrusting eyes. She was sure that if they caused a ruckus here with their fighting, especially after how Jacket reacted to the Blood Mage inquiry, they would have more trouble than they could handle.

Not that that doesn't sound fun, she thought to herself, but a quick look down to the terrarium hanging from her neck reminded her why she had to be a little more careful for a while. Not yet.

"Right. Totally not a Blood Mage, then. Roger," The eye roll that followed her statement rang true to the sarcasm of her words, but she quickly followed it up, not wanting to further agitate Jacket, "Come on, Jacket. This was supposed to be a fun-filled field trip. As much as I'd happily oblige fighting you, this is neither the time nor the place."

She sighed internally. She had meant to appease him, not further rile him up with her words but they tumbled from her mouth without her discretion. Damn it all, the fight on the ship had been exciting and she wanted to try her hand at it too, but things just weren't ready yet.

"Look. How about we just drop the-"

The pink-haired boy, the one Mikkish had been fighting, appeared out of nowhere and began speaking about how he was interested in learning blood magic. The surprise hadn't hit Prism as intensely as it had Sera as she had been feeling another life force following them around, but she hadn't expected it to be him. Or another human being.

Sera had whirled around, weapon ready, and the commotion had attracted the eyes of the cafe's patrons. Grimacing to herself, Prism stood slowly and placed a hand on Sera's shoulder. "You might wanna drop that. He's not here to cause trouble, although I think we may have overstayed our welcome here." She let her gaze wander around their little group before settling on Jacket. "Seriously, I think the owner has a shotgun in there. Unless you want a mouthful of shells, I recommend we go out, do our business, and settle grievances when we're not inside a place that could burn to the ground."

Her body hummed with adrenaline that begged to be released. She knew that with the lack of fighting, she would have to devote this excess of energy to working out. A light groan escaped her lips. That would be boring as hell. The wait had better be worth it.

Giving a wide grin at the knives in front of him, Joseph gently put his finger on the blade, pricking his finger and putting the finger in his mouth, tasting his blood. "Delicious. Now, as the drug addict child star said, you might wanna drop that, would be a shame if I had to defend myself and hurt anyone," he grinned, still looking for a fight. All the excitement at people here who could hopefully match and surpass him made Joseph buzz with excitement.

"Seriously, I think the owner has a shotgun in there. Unless you want a mouthful of shells, I recommend we go out, do our business, and settle grievances when we're not inside a place that could burn to the ground."

Joseph smiled at the supposed drug addict's logic. He supposed it was true, it wouldn't be the first time he encountered a less than friendly store owner, although most of the time that was due to mysteriously disappearing stock whenever he was there. Joseph gave a chuckle at that thought as he returned the storekeeper's glare. "Well, I'm out of here, if any of you losers wanna come with, I'm not stopping you," he grinned, walking out the store. No need to steal anything, wouldn't want to ruin an excellent first impression he gave the group. At least that's how it was in his mind.

John was more than a bit surprised when the second fighter suddenly appeared out of nowhere, but he decided to use the opportunity to try and find if the others had some magic that let them know when someone was lying. "I was wondering when you would do that." Since he didn't know whether the guy just teleported in, became visible or did something else he left his comment vague on purpose.

"Seriously, I think the owner has a shotgun in there. Unless you want a mouthful of shells, I recommend we go out, do our business, and settle grievances when we're not inside a place that could burn to the ground." John had no idea if she was right about the shotgun or even if her comment was meant to be taken seriously, but one look at the owner at the very least revealed that his group wasn't gonna become Celestial Coffee's favorite customers ever.

So when the guy who suddenly appeared got ready to leave he decided to follow to avoid any serious trouble. Honestly he felt a bit bad about potentially leaving the group behind, especially since they invited him.

"Blood magic? Yeah, I did a bit..." Mikkish said, not thinking or remembering the sign outside "It's pretty powerful stuff. I was going easy on that guy on the boat." He bragged, even though he was appalled at the idea of having to do the blood magic he knew about. Much of what he read in the book required cutting yourself to turn your arm into some kind of melee weapon, or disembowel yourself to mutate into some kind of Resident Evil style monster. It seemed, in short, like a much more powerful, though twisted, form of physical buff or shape shifting. Mikkish never even tried it, even the lighter stuff, like cutting yourself to increase stamina, as it seemed too emo.

"GET OUT! GET OUT RIGHT NOW OR IM CALLING THE COPS!" Yelled the manager who had overheard Mikkish

Mikkish sighed "Hey man, can you keep it down over there? I got this little bit of a fuckin headache." He said to the manager

"In callin law enforcement!"

"Makin friends all over, its what I do" Mikkish smiled as he said this, and walked outside, planning to see if the alcohol laws were the same as the US or if he could grab a 40 Mikki (Where his "nick" name came from)

As Prism tried calming Sera down it initially had the opposite effect. "You might wanna drop that. He's not here to cause trouble, although I think we may have overstayed our welcome here," Sera flinched, her body freezing up and her animated weapons dropping to the floor as Prism grasped her shoulder, lifeless. The enchantment had run it's course by the looks of things. A second later she began to calm, ashamed of herself. She like to think that she was a calm and calculating type from her time doing the rounds in chess tournaments, but instead she acted on instinct. "S-sorry," she managed to stutter, "He scared the ever living shit out of me,". She shook her head as she picked up her knives and slipped them back into her bag.

Prism was right though it certainly did seem like they had overstayed their welcome in the shop, especially with Mikkish owning up to being a blood mage of some sort, "Blood magic? Yeah, I did a bit..." he had claimed, probably forgetting the sign. And it looked like the shop owner was planning on calling the law enforcement too.
"Maybe it's best if we leave? Unless we want to spend our first day of magic school in prison," Sera suggested, it's not like they had nothing else to do in the mean time anyway. They could spend the time running the errands they had - the garden centre for Prism and the craft centre for Josh, she could use some sewing supplies considering the sizeable new hole her bag had in it. Besides, Mikkish had left already and if he spoke so freely about his dabbling in blood magic anywhere else it could land him in big trouble.

Makoto Guroi

A smallish boy with light blue hair watched as a group of people left the local coffee shop. One with shocking pink hair (@ScienMalefica), one with a face that reminded him of a horse's (@Duthguy) and one who just reeked of bastardly confidence (@MikkishtheLeprechaun). He remembered the three of them from the boat, two of them were particularly memorable for fighting on a boat of all places. Not particularly bright, it would seem. Figuring that it would be problematic if they caused a ruckus like that again, he visualised the Plutchik wheel of emotions and, deciding what would be most suitable, sent out a strong wave of trust to them before thinking aloud, quite literally.

"I hope all of you have enjoyed your day so far. My name is Makoto, I am looking forward to getting to know you all. Pleased to meet you.." he started to say telepathically, quickly searching their minds for their names before continuing, "Joseph, Joseph and John. Lots of J names... Pleased to meet you," he said this time out loud, looking at the three J boys.

Joseph Arrowsmith

Joseph looked warily at the boy walking towards him before suddenly he felt very trusting. Surely this boy must just be lost or looking for friends, Joseph reasoned to himself. Just as he was about to open his mouth to say hello he heard a voice in his mind, then calling him and the others by name out loud. In the back of his mind, Joseph thought that the boy's incredibly monotonous voice and the fact he knew his name, but at the forefront of his mind he was impressed.

"Woah! That was cool, you should teach me how to do that sometime!," Joseph grinned, not sure why he felt so much trust towards this small blue-haired boy with a voice flat as his adoptive mother's chest.

Finian Callahan

Seeing as how everyone else was doing their own thing, Finian decided to go ahead and take a tour by himself. He grabbed onto the mini-map that was given to them back in the boat, fixed up his skirt a bit and walked out of the coffee shop. Finian noticed his brother already drinking, but he wasn't in the mood to bother him so instead Finian walked away from the group and somewhere where he would be alone. Probably, he would go visit the clothing store because who wouldn't want to buy clothes in this marvelous city? Though, Finian didn't have that much of money but sight seeing was all free! "Mmmmm.. where should I go? The others are doing their own thing, so might as-well me go do something on my own. I do like clothes..." the girly-boy bit his bottom lips softly before walking north of the city, every movement he took, his hair swayed from side to side with such beauty and grace! A few people were staring at him as if he was walking down the runway but all he wanted to do was find the clothing store or find something to eat.

After only half an hour or so, Mikkish had his beer and didn't feel like doing anything else, and was ready to start heading up to where the school was. He was now at a bus stop in front of a night club, which was closed of course.

It was still early morning, but the sun had now risen. Not a cloud hovered in the blue sky. It was getting warmer too, and the humidity was now noticeable.

Mikkish never liked the humidity back in Georgia, and never really got used to it. Some of his hangover still lingered around, and he didn't need this shit right now.

Anyway, he decided to text his brother, as he still had his cell phone paid for the month.

"Fin, where r u? Im @ Warlock Fox Nightclub" thr text read

Prism's hands dropped back down her sides as she watched each and every one of her companions walk out the cafe, seemingly okay with leaving the others behind. It had started with the pinkette that had recognized her, then John had followed him out, then Mikkish. After that, Prism hadn't even bother to look.

"Figures," she muttered to herself, unable to help the small smile. She wondered idly if she should ask Sera to accompany her to the garden centre or to just explore the area, but decided against it. They were quickly becoming a baggage. With a sigh and an apologetic smile to the owner, Prism had made her way out too, purposely walking away from where the rest of the others had gone.

She'd explored the market area, combing through different stores to see if they had anything she needed to buy. Most of them had dabbled in magical artifacts that Prism had yet to understand, so she'd simply kept note of their names and locations and moved on.

The garden centre hadn't been that particularly hard to find. She had bumped into a group of students in a shop and recognized them as some of those who had participated in her betting game at the ship. They were indulging enough and pointed her to the right direction. The garden centre itself was like paradise. Plants of all shapes and sizes dotted every inch of the store and Prism felt the thrumm of life sing within her. The owner was a master of Druidic magic and had a humanoid figure made of tangled roots and magnolia blossoms. To say that Prism had been enthralled would be an understatement. She hadn't wanted to leave that shop, but there were still other things that required her attention. She had grabbed the owner's phone number and promised to return soon, and was on her way to the living quarters. Her dorm room number was given to her by a rather surly old man, but she disregarded his attitude and hateful eyes. 311. That would be where she'd be staying for a while.

When she arrived at her designated room, the first thing Prism did was to check up on the pots of different plants and buds she brought with her. Setting them up on the small balcony in her room didn't take too much time and it was still early when she finished to admire her handiwork. They were all growing so beautifully and Prism couldn't wait to have them all bloom.

It would still be a while for the official classes in the campus to begin so Prism dressed herself up and decided to walk around the school grounds. She was wandering idly around, wondering if the school had a greenhouse of sorts. If they didn't, then she would make the trip back to the garden centre. It would be worth it, anyway.

She had been ripped from her thoughts when she felt it. There were plants nearby, and they were well taken care of. Excitement filled Prism. Oh, she couldn't wait to see them and to hear what they had to say. In her haste, she'd began to jog and then full on sprint, not seeing that she was rounding a corner. As she did so, a body collided into her and the force of it added to her momentum was enough to cause her to tumble into the ground.

Groaning, she stood up and dusted herself off. A quick look at her top informed her that the fall had caused a rip on the elbow of her flannel. "Shit," she spat out, looking up to glare at the person who'd hit her. She was caught a tad off guard when she realized who it was though.

"Oh. You."

When he arrived at his dorm room John immediately began working on his new sling. His old one still worked, but it was several years old and too short for him to really build up speed. The main reason he wanted a new one though was to replace the pouch with something both bigger and fireproof or at least fire resistant, he eventually settled for treated leather.

Honestly John has always had a fascination with fire, oh he wasn't a pyromaniac or anything but he loved staring at campfires or even candle flames, and when it came to characters with elemental powers he almost always preferred fire users. Earth was a close second, not only did he use rocks as weapons after all but it also probably was the strongest of the four classic elements. After a while his work was done.

Since his sling was completed he headed to the nearest river to find suitable rocks to use as ammo, though he was having trouble with his map

The school looked amazing, especially to Mikkish who thought he would never get to do any kind of college. The buildings sat on a well maintained, green lawn, with trees and flower beds decorating throughout.

The actual school building looked older, as if it was still being used since the early 20th century, though that didn't prevent it from having working electricity, plumbing, ac, among the other amenities. Same went for the library, which was a separate building.

The dorms looked more like a mansion it was so big. The dorms were coed, but the rooms were not, having the mens and women's rooms on opposite sides of the hall.

And as far as Mikkish knew, it was all free. Paid for by Maniacles Corporation, a company he had never heard of, but not like he cared anyway.

"Whats up, guys?" Mikkish asked Prism and the mysterious person he recognized from the boat as he passed by. He was in room 312, right across the hall from Prism. "Can you believe this shit? And according to thd staff, its free."

In actuality, the only staff he talked to was the counselor who gave him his schedule and room number. And she actually said he didn't have to worry for now, not necessarily that it was free. But lets not worry about that for now.

Ian pulled out his phone as it started ringing, tapping the screen holding it up "Privet...Oh, ya it has been awhile, How have you been?..." The conversation carried on as he walked along, he'd already gotten his dorm room, number 312, and had dropped off his bag there before heading out to explore the campus a bit before classes started...at least until it happened, as he was approaching a turn in the path he suddenly collided with another person and both of them landed on the ground.

Ian started to get back up and grab his phone when he heard the other person speak. "Oh. You.".

"Me? I..." He held his phone up and quickly muttered "Sorry, Mikhail, I have to go, call you later, do svidaniya" He tapped the screen again and put the phone in his pocket then he got up and walked over to the blue-haired girl he's run into and held out a hand to help her up "I-I'm sorry, are you alright?"

Makoto sighed as he got his room number, 313. He read from the fighting idiot that his was next to him. At least he had a boy's room, Makoto worried that he might've been put in a girls dorm. Good to know that he wasn't put into that awkward situation. Reaching the room he saw the pink-haired boy he saw earlier outside his room.

"uhh.... hey" Joseph said suspiciously, the trust magic having worn off and now wondering what on earth happened. Makoto sighed and entered the room with what he guessed was his roommate, and after putting his stuff down, save for a single throwing knife in an ankle holster, he left the room again to see a blue-haired girl on the floor, a boy on a phone and the other fighting boy besides the one with pink hair. "Hello everyone," Makoto said to them all telepathically, he was used to doing it out of forced habit, people can't eavesdrop that way without magic.

Sera Kennithson

After the coffee shop everyone separated to go about their own tasks before they headed up to the school. For Sera, that meant visiting the craft shop to fix her bag.

It was surprisingly easy to find, even without a map since people were happy enough to point out the way she needed to go and she was there within a few minutes of walking.

Inside was quite the spectacle, alongside your everyday crafts items were all sorts of magical materials, a few caught Sera's eye, mostly different combinations of magical clays which gave golems created out of them certain benefits. On a whim she picked a few up out to try tinkering with alongside her needle and thread to fix her bag.

It was still early when Sera had gotten to the university, far too early for classes to have started. And so, she went to her room after she picked it up at the reception, 307. When she dropped her stuff off no one was around. She picked up her new crafts kit and decided to find somewhere around the campus she could try her hand at creating a golem of some sort. The gardens; she decided.

As she left her room, arms taken up by a basket, Sera saw Mikkish as well as some others from the coffee shop, she overhead Mikkish talking about how this was all paid for. How did they make money if they provided everything to the students for free? Sera wondered.

Finally, they were called to the academy and Finian walked over to the receptionist where they would give him a key. It was a key to a room. "Here's a key. You are going room 301. It's a girl's room of-course, since you are a girl." said one of the Workers but Finian quickly started to giggle softly before correcting them with a smile. "No no, I'm a guy. I just happen to lo--" he was stopped by the worker that was giving him the key. "Take the key. You look like a girl, you are dressed like one and you even speak like one. So, I consider you a female. Take it and go."

Finian took the key and slowly took a few steps backwards while staring at the worker. "Sheesh, don't need to be so rude...." and with that he made his way over to the third floor before entering the key in his door. As he walked in, it was empty and the only one in the room, thankfully, he could choose his bed first. Finian placed his bags on the bed as he turned around and walked back outside, noticing his brother speaking with Prism and talking about all of this being already paid. He stared at his brother for a bit wanting to talk to him but instead he just stood there, listening to the conversation. Ever since all of this happened, Mikkish has been very distant from his own brother. "Why was I chosen to be in a girl's room though..? I'm going to be a laughing stock..." he sighed while running his fingers through his blonde hair while fixing his dress a bit. The school looked so beautiful as-well, what else would they be doing today though?

Mikkish recognized his brother's voice coming from behind him.

"Hey." He said, when he noticed him "Sent you a text but the bus came and wouldn't wait. What room do you have?"

Fin looked kind of upset about something. Mikkish assumed it was probably something ridiculous.
