Obviously, that's the basis of any relationship, finding the person physically, intellectually and emotionally fine af. Quite essential to the roleplay

I still feel like the odd one out because compared to the other three's backstory having 'his mother was an actual prostitute and has HIV' is like a 4 on the 10 point scale of past scars.

But I guess someone has to be the 'positive' one.

Yaoi and yuri are both amazing yeah. Although generally when I roleplay all my characters are attracted to boys regardless of gender, idk why I've never done a yuri rp when I find yuri super interesting lmao. Then again ppl would be like 'omf straight boys fetishising girl x girl love disgusting' and as a smol gay bean I'd just be sitting here confused.

I'm a fan of yuri because I am a fan of cute people doing cute things and also because I can relate so hard to some of the stories contained in them. I've never really gotten into yaoi mainly because it's not what I'm attracted to but I honestly don't see the issue of males liking yuri. I like to think that not every guy who likes yuri material is going "OMG I LOVE HOT ANIME LESBIANS!" all weird like and that they can appreciate that there's often a bit of a charming little love story to go along with it.

I ran a group yuri RP like...two years ago and it was fun and had men and women RPers involved. Like what you like, friend. I like yuri not because I live that girls love life everyday but because stuff like Aoi Hana still makes me cry just thinking about it.

I've only dated men but I strongly believe I might have strong bi-curiosity lol. A lot of the content I digest is in the LGBTQ community. I doubt I'll experience any of that since I'm happily taken by my boyfriend who I met thanks to roleplaying.

I have kissed a girl once in my life though. She's my best friend and still very much my best friend. That night was a strange night for us xD

I try not to care what other people think when it comes to my interests. I think you're fine for liking Yuri. I personally just like making my heart go doki doki when I watch anime.

In highschool, like freshmen year, I drowned myself in like romance everything. I made a male character for this slice of life roleplay, and I discovered... girls really liked him and were fighting to be with him. So. I made more male characters for different roleplays. Definitely a confidence builder when people like your characters xD. Perhaps it's because I was a hopeless romantic in highschool. ~shrugs~ Or I just like challenging myself as I writer.

Yeah, yaoi and yuri seems to generally have much better romance plots and have loads of cute relationship stuff which is adorable, and they have a lot more quality yaoi and yuri than straight stuff that's pure romance, so yeah. Basically I wanna watch cute couples without strict boy has to buy girl food and boy has to be dominant and boys can't be submissive gender roles.

Ironically I've spent more time dating girls than boys, and have never kissed a boy as my current boyfriend is in America until the end of the school year when he's moving here to Australia. T'was an awkward moment when you realise you only love your girlfriend of a year and a half as a friend, was uncomfortable in any romance or physical affection with her other than friendly hugs and have to break it to her

Nicolas here is actually like my first male character on this site and maybe even in RP in general. I dunno. I guess my whole belief is that I don't really care what gender someone behind the character is. If a guy wants to RP as a female, that's his right and I see no problem with that. I've met people that think it's crazy that guys will RP as girls and it's just...just write a good character. That's all I really ever want in an RP partner or group. A bunch of interesting and good characters that I can interact with and have fun writing with.

I've been a romance fan for a while but it's only recently that I took my love of romantic things to the realm of anime. My fandoms were all in the Asian drama market. Like it got to the point where I was neglecting my social life because I just had to see if Na Jin Jin and Lee Kang Suk would transcend the wage and family barriers and let their love blossom or if the slimy half-brother Lee Ji Suk would come in and ruin everything. And then before I knew it that was fifty hours total and several boxes of tissues later.

Just give me like a real slow burn of a romance and I'm done. Like so done. And even more done if it's something like Love My Life, Blue, In My End Is My Beginning, or Love Inbetween.

@Fabricant451 Lol well my social life was all over the place when I started off. Try balancing Asian dramas (My first one was Devil Beside You, Taiwanese drama, starring Rainie Yang), learning anime dances (cosplaying...going to cons...), anime, reading manga, roleplaying, and social life... sleep was not a thing for me. That was my middle school and highschool life.

And I absolutely agree with you that the writer can be any gender and still make a phenomenal character with the opposite gender! My boyfriend actually plays females really well xD
And I mean, in my opinion, to be a good writer you should learn to get inside multiple characters' heads, you know?

The way I look at it is as long as people can relate to my character and see his/her journey, then I'm happy. Especially if I can get people to feel the feels... that makes writing so enjoyable.
