Hey guys, I wanted to put this idea out there before I got too into the design phase. Essentially, I want to make an RP about exploration. A caravan setting out into the unknown, filled with people each there for their own reasons. Explorers looking to map the world, scientists on the lookout for discovery, poets gripped by wanderlust, hunters searching for new beasts, guards just in need of a paycheck. I'm looking to run an RP that really captures that sense of wonder both from players and characters about entering an alien environment, while at the same time being heavily character driven. People forced to get along with each other for months, and rely on each other in a land where they have nobody else to fall back on.
Would anyone be interested in that sort of thing? Setting would be a low fantasy/historical fiction/Psuedo Steampunk mix, at least for what the characters come from.
