In Depth Physical Description: Starting from the top, Charlie usually keeps his hair short, like a sort of somewhat long Ivy League cut. His eyes are of a light blue color and an average shape. He has somewhat thick eyebrows. His nose is quite straight but not long, a typically Belkan feature. His mouth is straight, somewhat pursed and is almost always wearing a stern expression, smiles being a rarity from the seasoned pilot. He has a bit of stubble along his face that can somewhat get a bit unruly during times when he is forced to go without a shave.
He is somewhat muscular, but he is of a leaner shape, his body strengthened by semi-regular exercise and g-forces endured during flight. While on the ground, he usually wears the jacket given to him as a boy by a certain ace pilot during colder months and in hotter seasons he wears a t-shirt emblazoned with the General Resources logo, or other plain t-shirts. For pants, he either wears uniform pants or infantry fatigues and boots. He never wears sunglasses or other shades, instead preferring to let his eyes adjust on their own, despite possible vision problems.
Personality: Charles is a quiet man, out of preference rather than shyness. Pensive, he thinks before doing any and all actions, verifying a strategy is correct before moving to act, even in a dogfight. This does not mean he is slow though, quite the opposite, as his reflexes are top notch. He is quite severe and serious with those around him, putting duty and mission before being friendly.
Regarding war, he deems it a natural event in the world, a necessary one, but he doesn't especially like it either. He does find however that the battlefield is the place where he feels he belongs.
History: Charles was born on New Years in 1989 in the Belkan capital of Dinsmark, a good five years before the beginning of the Belkan War. His father was an engineer, charged with working on the Avalon Dam missile facility, so him, Charles' mother and Charles himself were moved to a small town only a few kilometers from the Dam when he was about two. Due to living in what was primarily a residential town for engineers, soldiers and officials, Charles couldn't make many friends and thus spent most of his time with his father when ever the latter was home.
On the dawn of the Belkan War in late 1994, Charles' father was forced to indefinitely reside inside Avalon, leaving Charles and his mother almost alone in the town, with most of the soldiers and officials either being deployed, moving or being transferred to Avalon. Without much to do, Charles starting watching the news very often, taking immediate interest in the enemy mercenary pilot, Lawrence 'Solo Wing Pixy' Foulke. Soon enough, Charles had begun to idolize the man; convinced he was the greatest pilot ever to take to the skies.
Eventually, the day came when Charles would finally meet his hero, if only indirectly. On his birthday, December 31st in 1995, the Allied forces assaulted the nearby Avalon Dam, and Charles arrived at a place where he could view the battle just in time to witness the epic duel between his hero and the infamous Demon Lord of the Round Table. The skies were streaked and clouded by tactical laser beams and missile explosions, which Charles watched with bated breath, right up until the final 'joust' between the two kings of the skies. In the wake of Foulke's defeat and "death", Charles vowed to one day avenge him, aspiring to become a pilot no matter the cost.
After the war, the Kreulich family moved to Delarus to escape the wave of economic instability in the aftermath of the Belkan War. They managed to make a good life, both his parents gaining stable work and the trio managed to have a good life, right up until the impact of 1994XF04 Ulysses' fragments on the earth. Their country was nearly destroyed, throwing the area into chaos, sparking tensions with the nearby Federal Republic of Erusea. In 2003, soldiers from Erusea marched into the country, and Charles' parents were hauled off to internment camps, never to be seen again. Charlie managed to escape, wandering alone throughout the country until 2005, at the end of the war, he met a man who had once changed his life.
Near the border to Erusea, his life was saved by a man who had a name of Lawrence Foulke, the 'Solo Wing Pixy' that Charles had worshiped as a child. Charles, now a teenager, stayed with Foulke for a period of time, making a close bond before parting ways when Charles had his 19th birthday, when he was given a jacket by the man before Charles left for his homeland of Belka, to join the Belkan Air Force, where he remained until 2015, when he left to join the newly created General Resources Defense Force after receiving an offer from a representative of the company.
We come now to the present day, six years after he joined the GRDF, Charles has been chosen as one of the representatives of the GRDF in the International Peace Games, though under a condition that would not please him...
Extra Information:
-Charles enjoys reading journals, news and military magazines, military thrillers and dramas in his free time.
I'll also fix the formatting of the rules then, if I can remember to do so.
