Rowen’s hair is long, spiraling downward until the near end of her back, its appearance wild and unkempt but far from scruffy or dirty, its color is brown. Her lifestyle has endowed her with a slim and muscular figure throughout her body. For a woman, she is tall.

Raised in the wastelands of the Dark Lands filled with destruction, Modrem, and depravity since she was abandoned as a child, Rowena has developed apart from what is called the acceptable, the proper, or the norm. In this respect she has developed into something of an enigma, or perhaps that is only true when compared to areas outside of the Darklands.

She is boisterous and animated, with a personality that is filled with energy. She is not afraid to shout, but there is the need, and tends to keep the volume of her voice at a medium level. In general personality she is very forthcoming and direct, never shying away from her true opinion on things in spite of societal sensitivities. Thus she can come off of overbearing and rude, although in the less civilized Darklands this hasn’t stopped her from making friends.

She holds strongly to the personal doctrine of individualism and individual freedom. In doing so, she declares that she shall never have her life surrendered to another, unless it is in the heat of battle. In her hatred of rules and controls, she despises the rules of the lands beyond the Darklands, as their aim is to force people like herself into surrender and subjugation. The only good part of civilization is the riches it offers, which Rowena appreciates very much.

Her reason for fighting is mostly for material gains and for her very survival, although she prefers it to the normalized life of regular civilization. Violence and adventure gives her a kind of thrill which a schedule and job cannot.

Rowena is the daughter of Aeon Malchut, the man who became a hero and one of the greatest Guardians, and Margaret Robins, the woman he once loved. She is of mixed ethnicity. Her childhood was happy enough, but it was soon enough destroyed by the Calamity. The first memory Margaret still has is of her father abandoning her and her mother, leaving them to die at the hands of Mordrem. Her mother died, but she did not, and with solely her instinct, natural intellect, and a humble kitchen knife she slew her first Mordrem.

On that day her life had changed forever, and never again would peace be known to her, and soon she would no longer wish for it. She survived the Calamity, yet her world was plunged into darkness. She lived in the Dark Zone, and that being no place for children, her childhood ended. She was forced to adapt to her environment, and she learned how to fight and how to scavenge. Years spent inside the Dark Zone away from the remnants of civilization irrevocably changed her.

She became an adventurer who had a contempt for rules. She visited many places, and managed to survive out in the Dark Lands, slaying all who would seek to kill her, whether they be Mordrem, gangs, aggressors, fanatics, or husks. Although she prefers the wild and lawless lands to that of the cities ruled by government, she visits both, and has spent her life traveling, fighting, and learning various languages. As a youth she realized she had control over the power of spirits, and she uses aspekts to augment her strength, but she remains an almost exclusively physical fighter, and uses her single spirit, Timaeus, in only dire emergencies.

Rowena wields a rather plain sword with a handle of leather and blade of normal yet firm steel. Nothing fancier is thought to be needed. [◇]
