Player Name: Dedonus
Character You Wish To Play: Peter Benjamin Parker
Alias: The Amazing Spider-Man
Moral Alignment: Hero.
Affiliation: The Amazing Friends
Character Origin & Backstory:
Peter’s life has been a story of repeated tragedies.

Season One Summary:

Family & Friends:
-Richard and Mary Parker (deceased): Peter’s biological parents
-Benjamin Parker (deceased): Peter’s Uncle (Richard Parker’s Brother)
-May Reilly Parker: Peter’s Aunt (Benjamin Parker’s wife and Richard Parker’s sister-in-law)
-Gwen Stacy (deceased): Peter’s most recent girlfriend. She was Peter’s Penelope, rivaling Peter’s own natural intelligence. What she lacked in powers, he made up the difference with her intelligence, aiding Peter in many occasions. Her death at the hands of the Rose has traumatized Peter.
-Angelica Jones (aka Firestar): Close Childhood Friend of Peter’s. Went to Xavier Institute of Higher Learning when her powers manifested. She developed a crush on Peter while still in middle school, but she has never been able to act upon those desires. Is the time right or would she prefer them to remain as ‘friends’?
-Bobby Drake (aka Iceman): Close Friend of Peter’s. Went to Xavier Institute of Higher Learning when his powers manifested.
-Mary Jane Watson: Even before Peter and Gwen started dating, Aunt May had been trying to get Peter hooked up with their neighbor’s (Anna Watson) niece. Now that Gwen is “out of the way”, is it time for this pair to come together? Or is it too early?

Powers and Abilities:
-High-level Intelligence: Peter Parker is an extremely gifted student, allowing him to excel in his academic career while he is not busy with his super-heroics. If he is given the correct guidance, tools, and education, Peter Parker’s intelligence could possibly rival those of Tony Stark, Reed Richards, Hank McCoy, and Hank Pym.
-Wall-Crawling: Spider-Man has the ability to create atomic attraction between himself and other objects, allowing him to adhere to numerous surfaces.
-Spider-Sense: Spider-Man possesses an uncanny 6th sense that alerts him to danger within his local proximity. Although his Spider-Sense can alert him if there is danger, it does not provide him with the location or direction from which the danger comes. Combined with Spider-Man’s reflexes, Spidey becomes a difficult target to hit.
-Mechanical Web-Shooters:
-Superhuman Strength: Spider-Man can easily lift approximately 5 tons. He can lift more weight if he exerts himself. Spider-Man must also pull his punches against opponents without similar levels of durability and strength.
-Superhuman Speed: Spider-Man’s natural speed exceeds that of modern Olympic athletes. In other words, Spidey could give Usain Bolt a run for his money.
-Superhuman Stamina: Spider-Man does not produce as many fatigue toxins while he physically exerts himself. He has to spend several hours under strenuous circumstances to feel impaired by these toxins.
-Superhuman Agility: Spider-Man is twice as flexible as a normal human, allowing him to perform acrobatic maneuvers that high-level gymnast would envy.
-Superhuman Durability: Spider-Man can take punishment that would severely injure or otherwise kill an average person. Spider-Man must roll with punches against him in order to prevent the assailant from breaking their limbs.
-Superhuman Reflexes: Spider-Man’s reflexes 20 times greater than an average human’s would be.
-Superhuman Recuperative Healing Factor: While not anywhere near as efficient as mainstream Wolverine’s healing factor, Spider-Man can recuperate from injuries more quickly than they would otherwise normally take.
-Superhuman Sense of Equilibrium: Spider-Man can retain a perfect state of equilibrium, allowing him to remain oriented while crawling upside down and performing acrobatic moves.
-Resistance to Foreign Chemicals: Spider-Man’s metabolism allows him to be less effected by drugs and diseases.
-Immunity to Vampirism: Due to the unique nature of Spider-Man’s Red Blood Cells, Spider-Man has no need to fear any Vampire, in respect to being transformed into one.

Weaknesses:
-Guilt complex: Blames himself for things outside his control (Uncle Ben’s Death).
-Pesticides: While Spider-Man has increased resistance to foreign pathogens, pesticides still are effective against him.
-Not Invincible: Spider-Man can be killed and injured by conventional means. Spider-Man just can take more punishment before he reaches this point.
-Double Life: It is a difficult job trying to juggle school, family, a social life, and his super-heroics without wrecking any one of the other aspects of his life.

Sample Story Arcs:
- Ultimate Spider-Man made an interesting proposition by giving MJ powers. Nevertheless, they never really did anything with it after the Clone Saga story arc. I plan on not making that same mistake…
- A ‘Kraven the Hunter’ story arc based on The Most Dangerous Game is too good to pass up.
- What Spider-Man would be complete without a Marvel Knights story arc?

Player Name: Dedonus
Character You Wish To Play: Clint Barton
Alias: Hawkeye
Moral Alignment: Hero.
Affiliation: S.H.I.E.L.D.
Character Origin & Backstory:
Clinton Barton was born to a troubled family (and that’s putting it kindly) in Waverly, Iowa. His father, Harold, was a chronic alcoholic who would beat Clint’s mother, his brother, Barney, and Clint himself. His mother was no better, as she was withdrawn and unsympathetic, seeing her husband’s abuse of her children as a victory because she was not the one at the receiving ends of Harold Barton’s blows. However, tragedy struck (or poetic justice, as Comic Vine describes it), when both Mr. and Mrs. Barton died in a car accident while Harold Barton was well over the lawful BAC.

As a result of their parents’ deaths, Clint and Barney were placed into the foster system. The Barton boys, as they were called, jumped from foster home to foster home until they were received by a certain Buck Chisholm. Unlike the previous foster homes, the two Barton boys felt welcomed and desired in the Chisholm residence. In fact, Buck and his friend, Jacques Duquesne, even allowed the two Barton boys to participate and even train for Renaissance fairs (or faires, as Buck and Jacques put it). Clint got particular attention from the two friends, as they saw real potential in Clint’s archery ability, much to the chagrin of his brother, Barney, who felt that Clint was now absorbing all the lime light from their new foster parent. Things began to look good for Clint.

That was, until a few years later Clint stumbled upon Buck and Jacques’ scheme of ripping off the fair. The two friends discovered that Clint was privy to the plot and they tried to get him to remain silent. When Clint refused, as it was the ‘right’ thing to do, Buck and Jacques brutalized him and left him for dead. If it was not for one of the other Renaissance fair actors finding the young Barton boy that night, Clint might have died that night. Once this abuse was reported to child services, the Barton boys were immediately removed from the Chisholm custody (Buck and Jacques had gone on the run prior to this) and they were placed in another foster home.

As time passed, Clint and Barney grew further apart from each other since Barney believed that Clint had betrayed their former foster parent, even though Barney was not receiving as much attention from them as Clint was. Once they went to college, they went their separate ways. Clint attended the University of Iowa (the Hawkeyes!) and continued to practice his archery skills, even joining a club team while at the University of Iowa. After he graduated from college, he was approached by S.H.I.E.L.D. and [SECTION REDACTED – S.H.I.E.L.D. PRIVACY].

Season 1 Summary: Hawkeye was assigned to the task of stopping the mutant criminal named Whirlwind. Although he plastered the street below with the adhesive of his "Sticky Bomb" arrow, Hawkeye successfully apprehended the mutant. Then, along with Mockingbird, Hawkeye assisted Spider-Man in defeating a biological/machine hybrid called "Killer Unicorn", a creature created, unknowingly to the heroes, by the devious Professor Monster.

Powers and Abilities:
-Master Archer: If anyone could string Odysseus’ bow, Hawkeye would be the one to do it. Through practice and dedication, Hawkeye has mastered the art of archery, allowing him to make shots that normal people could never make.

-“Bottomless Quiver”: From Taser-Arrows to Ice-Arrows to Boomerang Arrows (just for the laughs), with the resources at Clint’s disposal due to his employment at S.H.I.E.L.D., there is no limit to the kinds (and number) of arrows that Clint can use.

-Peak Human Endurance and Strength: Clint, due to his S.H.I.E.L.D. training, is a fit and strong as any modern athlete. While this might not be enough to overcome superhumans, Clint is athletic enough to overcome the average person.

-Expert Acrobat: Combined with his S.H.I.E.L.D. conditioning, Hawkeye can perform acrobatic feats that most ‘normal’ people could only dream of completing. Again, just like his strength, his acrobatic skills are limited by what a fit athletic could accomplish.

Weaknesses:
-Normal Human: Hawkeye cannot take on another superhuman strength-for-strength.

-“I don’t kill”: Hawkeye follows the “Good Guy Code”. Unless it is absolutely necessary, Hawkeye never goes for the kill. Hawkeye has a record in S.H.I.E.L.D. for the number of targets that he has brought in alive.

Sample Story Arcs:
-Mockingbird: Since I figure that Black Widow would be a too ‘popular’ character to NPC at this point, I figured Mockingbird would do nicely in Black Widow’s stead.

-Hawkeye will allow me to have some direct control over S.H.I.E.L.D., which, as the GM, I probably should have.

-[WEST COAST] AVENGERS! ASSEMBLE! / Thunderbolts

Sample Post:
Hawkeye and Mockingbird stood waiting in the briefing room. These two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents stood out like a sore thumb amongst the group of the other agents, since they wore colorful costumes instead of the standard gray and black shades that the other agents usually wore. Hawkeye’s attire event stood out even more than Mockingbird’s because his costume was almost entirely purple, while the later at least had dark blue accenting the white portion of her outfit. “Hey, it helps prevent friendly-fire!” Hawkeye would usually say in his defense of their fashion decisions. But in spite of the flamboyance of their apparel, Clint and Bobbi still got the job done.

Suddenly, another agent walked into the briefing room, holding several folders that he intended to issue out to the others once he had entered. Once the files and folders were passed around, the man clicked a button on a small remote that he held in his hand, causing the screen behind himself to activate. “Here is your next assignment, ladies and gentlemen.” Agent Coulson announced to his fellow agents with a confident, but calm voice. “This is David Cannon. While we do not yet know whether the X-Gene granted him powers or if he used some other means, Mr. Cannon is capable of creating a localized tornado around himself. Local authorities have been unable to stop him, so it is up to us to apprehend him. Are there any questions before we set out?”

“I have one.” Hawkeye yelled out, grinning at what he intended to say, “Are we about ready to go on a man hunt after the Tasmanian Devil?”

“Any other questions?” Rolling his eyes, Coulson obviously ignored Hawkeye’s remark about how the powers of this supervillain mirrored the abilities of the Warner Bros. cartoon character. “If not, everyone is dismissed.”

Player Name: Dedonus
Character You Wish To Play: Carol Susan Jane Danvers
Alias: Ms. Marvel
Moral Alignment: Good
Affiliation: Solo, but eventually the Avengers
Character Origin & Backstory:
Carol Danvers was born in Boston, Massachusetts to Joseph and Marie Danvers. Even though she was the eldest child in the family, her father, Joseph favored his two sons, Steven and Joseph Jr. No matter what she did, whether Carol excelled at school or athletics, nothing pleased her father. It almost seemed as if he expected one of his two sons to carry on the family name. Even though his sons did not perform at the same level as Carol, their father still preferred them.

During her middle school years, tragedy struck the Danvers family. At the time, Joseph Danvers’ contracting business was barely staying afloat. One night, Joseph Sr. was driving Carol and Steven home after their father had drank his sorrows away after a dismal day of work. Since he was too intoxicated to be operating motor vehicles, Joseph Sr. caused a traffic accident. While the other driver luckily left the crash relatively unharmed, his son Steve failed to survive. Carol’s father could not accept the reality that his impaired driving caused the death of his eldest son, instead blaming Carol as the child who survived.

Ever since Steven’s death, Carol’s father descended into a spiral of despair. Now the bottle became his constant companion, even more so since the decline of his contracting career. Sometimes, when business was not faring well and Joseph has drank too much, Carol’s father would come home in a drunken stupor, capable of beating what remained of his broken family. While his two remaining children would occasionally feel the blunt force of their father, Carol’s mother usually was on the receiving end so that her children were not.

Carol’s abysmal life did not end there. Her junior year in high school, Carol learned that her family had only enough money to send one of his offspring to college and that her father had chosen her brother over her, in spite of her superior academic and athletic career. For her entire life, Carol had dreamed of the stars, wishing to go to space one day. She wished to become Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineer so that Carol could one day see the stars. However, now her dreams were crushed.

Or so she thought. But at what costs?

Season 1 Summary:

Powers and Abilities:
-Kree-Human Hybrid: Through the experiments of the Brood, Carol Danvers is now a hybrid of the Kree and human species. These experiments raised her powers above the levels of any normal human or Kree. For instance, Carol inherited the Kree skin density, bestowing upon her near invulnerability. However, since she is a hybrid, she does not need an enriched Nitrogen atmosphere to breathe.
-Superhuman Strength: Due to her enhanced Cree/Human physiology, Ms. Marvel is able to easily lift 75 tons (average). However, as she absorbs energy, Ms. Marvel is able to lift more weight, easily over 100 tons.
-Superhuman Speed: Ms. Marvel is able to move at high speeds, easily above any levels a normal human could ever dream of.
-Superhuman Agility and Reflexes: Ms. Marvel’s agility, balance, and reflexes far exceed that of any regular human. While concentrating, only villains with the fastest reflexes and truest aim will be able to land a blow on Carol.
-Superhuman Stamina: Carol’s enhanced Kree-Human physiology allows her to continuing exerting herself at full effort for several hours. Her energy absorption ability increases the upper limits of her stamina.
-Invulnerability: Ms. Marvel’s skin is able to withstand almost any soot of punishment, while her energy absorption defends her from almost anything else. Bullets bounce off her skin like nothing, while larger armaments fare a little better. Repeated powerful blows can wear her down, but weaker ones may sometimes go unnoticed.
-Flight: Ms. Marvel is able to reach Mach 3 while flying. At lower speeds, she is able to maneuver in the air with ease. She is also capable of using her own body as a human projectile, ramming into her enemies with great force.
-Photonic Blasts: Carol is able to blast photonic projectiles from her hands. Her energy absorption enhances the power of these bolts of energy.
-Energy Absorption: Part of Ms. Marvel’s invulnerability is her energy absorption. While her body can absorb any form of energy, her body is especially efficient in absorbing electric, light, thermal energies and radiation.
-Minor Molecular Control: Ms. Marvel is able to change her clothing through using her energy absorption powers. She is also able to switch between her hybrid and regular human form at will. These powers are easily used with the slightest amount of heat or light energy.

Sample Story Arcs:
-The Sins of the Brood: Introduction Arc where the Brood kidnap Carol and perform their experiments on her.
-The Rise of A Marvel: Carol adjusts to her new life as a human-Kree hybrid, using her powers to save Boston from countless threats.
-Avengers! Assemble!: Pretty much self-explanatory! :D Still looking for an Iron Man character…

Wolverine

NAME: James 'Logan' Howlett

MORAL ALIGNMENT: Walking the Line

AFFILIATION: Weapon X Program, Team X

ORIGIN AND BACKSTORY: TOP SECRET

MUTANT ABILITIES/SKILLS: TOP SECRET

SAMPLE STORY ARCS:

Enemy of the State: Wolverine has been brainwashed by the mysterious men behind the Weapon X Program, and tasked with the job of eliminating various enemies to mutantkind. Logan is forced to fight heroes and villains alike as he rampages across North America killing politicians, generals and activists in a quest that is not his.

Freedom: Howlett discovers that he has been brainwashed, and breaks free from the Weapon X facility. Wolverine spends this time tracking down everyone involved in the Program, trying to find out who he was before the Program got a hold of him and altered his brain.

Redemption: His memories now returned to him, Wolverine sets out to redeem himself of his past. Logan joins SHIELD and their fight against injustice as he desperately tries to forget the atrocities he was forced to commit. This is the time when he meets Xavier, and the X-Men.

Sample Post::

"My name's Logan Howlett. People call me the Wolverine. I'm the best I am at what I do, and what I do...isn't very nice." Logan was perched atop a gargoyle overlooking a nearby hotel. He'd climbed up the side of the cathedral earlier that day, and had been waiting up here for his target to return to his bedroom. While he waited, Wolverine liked to do these little recording. It kept the assassin sane at times like this; times when he was alone, moments from taking another life. It was funny. You'd think someone like Logan would have gotten over the whole fuss of murder a long time ago, with all that blood on his hands. But truth is? You never get over it. Poppin' the claws hurts every time.

"I've been tracking this guy, name's Henry Jenkins, for a couple'a weeks. S'pose to be some big shot in New York City's underworld. My handlers seem to think Mister Jenkins runs a Mutant Trafficking ring; one of the biggest in these United States o' America. He's staying in a fancy hotel downtown, waiting for a couple'a buyers from overseas to meet him there tomorrow. But he won't live to see tomorrow. 'Cuz he is gettin' a visit from yours truly."

Logan tapped on his ear, shutting off the recording device for the time being. He'd seen something. Wolverine brought a pair of futuristic binoculars up to his eyes, pressing one of the many buttons on the side. Logan's vision washed blue as the thermal visor came to life. Logan maneuvered the device around the hotel penthouse, watching the people inside. They were little more than blobs of yellow and red heat, but Logan compensated for that using his sense of smell. If he took a big enough whiff, he could pick out the individual smells from each and every person inside the hotel and outside on the streets. Logan could also smell the garbage truck turning the corner. And the hot dog stand on the sidewalk under him. "There ya are.." Wolverine muttered, watching the front door to the penthouse open. Four more shapes entered the apartment and made their way towards the dinning room. He could smell the target's sweat from here. That was definitely Henry Jenkins.

Wolverine pulled a grappling hook off his belt, before placing the binoculars back into his backpack. It wasn't elegant, but it worked. Logan pointed the piece of equipment at the penthouse, aiming for the roof. He fired it off, the hook flying through the air silently before slamming through the concrete and brick of the hotel roof. He tested the line for strength. Once Logan was sure it would hold all three hundred pounds of him, Wolverine secured his backpack to his back before jumping off the gargoyle and swinging across the street hundreds of feet in the air. For a second, Wolverine felt like he was Spider-Man; what with all the swinging across New York and such. But there wasn't time for such childish thoughts, so Logan set those aside and harnessed the animal inside.

The sound of glass shattering alerted the seven guards inside the penthouse to Wolverine's presence. They drew their sidearms, making their way towards the hallway where the sound had come from. The first one to get there was met with three claws through the skull. As Wolverine pulled the dead bodyguard off his claws, shoving him away with a kick to the dead man's chest, two more guards appeared from behind. They brought their guns up and opened fire, unloading on the intruder. Wolverine roared, flinging their buddy over his shoulders like he was filled with feathers. The three men collided and tumbled to the floor. Wolverine crossed the hallway in the blink of an eye, impaling both of the downed gunmen in their chests. More guards were approaching. Wolverine glanced at the ceiling. Perfect.

Two more guards walked into the hallway. They found their three comrades, dead. Stabbed to death. One of the thugs bent down to examine the dead for clues, while his partner watched his back. Suddenly a pair of clawed hands fell from the sky, stabbing into the bodyguard's shoulders. Logan dragged the screaming guy into the air, before tossing him out of the broken window. The guy screamed the whole way down. The second goon rolled around on the ground, moving to the wall as he looked around. Terrified. Panicking. Wolverine loved it. "W-Where are you?!" He screamed. "Here." The mercenary appeared in full view. Standing in front of the mercenary, was the Wolverine. Clothed in orange and black spandex, claws extending from his knuckles, Wolverine was a terrifying sight.

In the bedroom, the final two guards stood next to Henry Jenkins. Jenkins was utterly afraid, clutching his fat knees to his chest as he tried to prevent himself from fainting. There was a knock on the door. The guards brought their sub machine guns up to their hips, opening fire. "Stop!" Jenkins shouted. "Stop shooting, damn it!" The two goons complied, and their was nothing but silence as they reloaded their guns and waited. Then the door knob began to turn. Jenkins started screaming bloody murder as Wolverine opened the door and dashed into the room. Jenkins' bodyguards tried to defend him. They really did. But they couldn't even see their attacker, let alone have time to aim at him. Wolverine slashed both of their throats open, sending blood spraying across the bed room as they fell on the floor. Dead.

"P-Please don't kill me. I'll give you anything. Anything! Please!"

Wolverine grabbed Jenkins by his sweaty, grubby throat and slammed him against the wall. Jenkins started to cry, and pissed himself. Logan growled, placing his hand against Jenkins' chin. Two claws shot up, centimeters from hitting Henry. "You know where the third one's comin' up." Logan growled. "Tell me where the kids are, or I turn ya into a shish kabob." The guy nodded furiously. "49th and Roe. There's a warehouse on the docks. T-The kids are in the basement." Wolverine pushed harder against the guys chin, his last claw barely poking out. "NO! T-There's a dozen guards, all armed! A-And...And...A boat's comin' for them some time tomorrow." Logan wasn't satisfied yet, so he let the claw prick Jenkins' neck. "There's a hundred and twenty three kids down there, all mutants! From six to eighteen! They're suppose to go to Trask Industries in Boston. I was going to meet a representative from Trask tomorrow. That's all I know, I swear." Wolverine took a whiff of the child slaver. He was telling the truth. "See ya in Hell, bub. Say hi to Azrael for me." The final claw shot up into Jenkins' brain and out the top of his skull, killing him instantly.

"My names Wolverine. I'm the best I am at what I do, and what I do...I love ta do more than anything else in the world."

SEASON ONE SUMMARY:
Frees mutants from kidnappers, 'recruits' them for Romulus
Captures the Hulk and takes him to X Facility
Valkyrie frees Hulk, defeats Wolverine/Team X
James learns that he has been under mind control and his memory has been wiped; facility destroyed by nuke

HYPERION

NAME: Zhib-Ran

MORAL ALIGNMENT: Villain

AFFILIATION: SHIELD, Avengers, formerly the planet Tok and eventually the Squadron Sinister

ORIGIN:

POWERS:

Sample Story Arcs:

Avenger of Earth: Zhib-Ran arrives on earth and begins working with SHIELD to help them make the earth a safer place. He takes on the identity of SHIELD Agent Milton, hiding his true purpose and origin from the humans until the opportune moment arrives for his conquest of the planet. Yet, Hyperion has grown fond of humanity. He would soon remember, however, why his parents hated commoners, and turn on SHIELD and earth.

Conquest of Knowhere: Hyperion arrives at Knowhere, determined to conquer the city as his own and establish himself as king. He is forced to fight the Guardians of Knowhere in his attempt to control the crime hub.

King Hpyerion: Hyperion becomes the king of a planet/society. He rules over them with an iron fist, until someone comes around and forces him to leave.

Squadron Sinister: Once his other plans fail, Hyperion turns towards the rest of the galaxy once more and hunts down the most infamous criminals in the known universe and invites them to join the Squadron Sinister.

Sample Post:

Agent Milton sat on top of a skyscraper in the middle of New York City. The locals called the structure the "Daily Bugle." Apparently it was a facility built for the express purpose of delivering biased journalism to the drooling masses of New York. Mark brought one such piece of propaganda up to where he could look at it: a newspaper, the humans called it. Covered in pictures and writing. Why did this "Bugle" continue to use such an outdated form of communication to deliver its message to the people of New York City. Even here, on the primitive planet called earth, they had more efficient means of transferring information from one location to multiple locations. A network of computers devised many years ago that allowed the public access to the 'information superhighway.' Despite the existence of this system, the Daily Bugle and a number of other outlets insisted on having their opinions transported by hand. It baffled Zhib-Ran, who's own world used a sort of 'internet' to spread news. Everyone carried a device that could be wirelessly accessed at any time by those allowed to present information to the entire planet.

That was another thing this planet, and more specifically the western portion of it, lacked: censorship. Why allow men like this J. Jonah Jameson to spew lies about important public figures like the Spider-Man? The Spider-Man is a hero. He serves as an icon to the people of New York City; the denizens look up to him as their savior. Well, they should, anyway. From what Zhib-Ran had seen, not everyone appreciated the wall-crawler's presence in the big apple. That fact can be attributed to the mud slinging of Jameson more than likely.

"Hmph." Hyperion puffed as he observed the front page. A picture of Spider-Man slinging through New York's skyline. Odd, Zhib-Ran thought. How did they manage to get a shot from this angle? The photographer must have been standing on the ledge of a massive structure to get a shot from that high up. How could he have known the Spider was swinging by at that exact moment, to take a picture without blur? How very odd. Zhib-Ran began to read the article on the front page. It was an opinion piece written by multiple authors. The article raised an interesting question: Should superheroes be allowed to work within the city without regulation by the government? Of course not. Hyperion answered within his own mind. You can't trust an ordinary citizen to do the work of the police. But law enforcement on earth was not equipped to deal with the threats that required the attention of superheroes. Hyperion went on to read the rest of the article on page eleven. The Daily Bugle offered a simple solution: SHIELD. They wanted people to look at SHIELD and see how well their system worked, and how it could be applied to law enforcement at large within the United States of America. Vigilantes are brought in, trained, and given badges before they're sent off to work for the city. They would get a paycheck, benefits, the whole package. What's not to love?

The article failed to mention, and Hyperion failed to realize, the shortcomings of such a plan. For Zhib-Ran hadn't the time to mull over the positives and negatives, because Captain America needed his assistance.

"Agent Milton." A voice suddenly spoke from Zhib's watch.

Hyperion raised the device closer to his face and pressed a button on the side. "This is Milton. Go ahead." Zhib-Ran was still getting used to calling himself "Agent Mark Milton" instead of Zhib-Ran or Hyperion. Why the humans wished for his identity to remain a mystery, Zhib did not know. But he had chosen to work with SHIELD until the day when he no longer needed them. For Hyperion's plans to come into fruition, he needed SHIELD's full trust. So, for now, Hyperion would do as they told. No questions asked.

"Captain America has activated his distress beacon and requested your assistance. He's currently in the Savage Lands, Antarctica- you should be able to find him without too much trouble."

"Of course. I'll be right there."

Hyperion switched the device off and set his newspaper down. He quickly removed his grey suit jacket and carefully folded it up, setting that down as well. Zhib removed a pair of sunglasses from his pocket and put them on before straightening his tie and jumping to his feet. A quick rolling up of his sleeves, and Hyperion was ready for work.

Then he jumped.

Zhib-Ran fell from the roof of the Daily Bugle towards the busy streets below. People looked up and pointed; he could hear screams and calls for help as he rapidly descended towards the asphalt. Time itself seemed to distort as Hyperion activated his powers. Everything slowed down to a crawl. Zhib glanced around with his enhanced vision at the faces of the people below. A moment later, after he had finished enjoying the fresh air, Hyperion began to fly. He suddenly shot forward at speeds approaching light, flying above the New York skyline. He was careful not to get too close to any buildings; his powers allowed him to keep air disruption to a minimum, however there was still the chance that Zhib-Ran could shatter the windows with the amount of air he was kicking behind him at the speed he was going. If Hyperion wasn't able to regulate air flow around him, he imagined flying at light speed would be equivalent to setting off a nuclear bomb in the middle of the city.

Good thing that wasn't a probably for him, isn't it?

It took less than a second for Hyperion to reach the research facility. However, for the extra-dimensional alien, it felt like quite a bit longer. He had to fly up into space and use his telescopic vision combined with his X-ray vision to locate Sam Wilson. Then he had to fly down to Antarctica and traverse the Savage Land without crashing. It felt like an eternity. If Zhib wasn't so experienced with his powers he would have wondered if he reached Sam in time to save him. But he was experienced, so that wasn't an issue either.

Hyperion smashed through the metal and concrete that made up the facilities walls. Debris froze in mid air as Zhib took the time to examine in the situation. The room was filled with what appeared to be dinosaurs in strange glass cases. Cap was looking at one such dinosaur. The good captain appeared to have locked eyes with the creature. Hyperion turned to see a group of AIM agents approaching from another door, all of them armed with state of the art laser weaponry. They wouldn't affect Hyperion; he'd feel them, but it'd probably just tickle. Time sped back up to normal as Hyperion slowed to a stop. The AIM agents entered the room and pointed their weapons at the intruders. However, Cap didn't move. His eyes were stuck on the dinosaur. That was when Hyperion realized that the strange earth creature in the tube must have had the captain under some sort of mind control.

He had to act fast. Hyperion flew forward, right at the pterodactyl. He tackled the beast out of its tube and dragged the flying monster through a nearby wall. And then another wall. And another. Once they were outside, Hyperion let go of Sauron and allowed the monster to get up. The naive "hero" believed it was just some misunderstood lizard, and believed it would fly away after that. "Go on." Hyperion urged. "Get outta here."

Hopefully Cap could deal with the AIM guys on his own, because the dinosaur didn't seem very willing to leave.

SEASON ONE SUMMARY:
Defeats Sauron and assists Sam Wilson in destroying an AIM facility
Retreives Costume; Kills people
Recruits Miss America

Wade Wilson / Deadpool

AFFILIATION
Weapon X

ORIGIN AND BACKSTORY
As an adult, Wade Wilson discovered what he had finally been good at: killing people. In fact Wade was so good at facilities of murder he found himself being transferred into a special unit of skilled soldiers before he hit the age of twenty-three. By the age of thirty, Wade Wilson acted with extreme prejudice. Eventually, Wade Wilson was recommended for leave in spite of his superior military service due to a health concern: Wade Wilson had cancer. Taking this time out to try to investigate ways to subdue it, Wade was eventually approached by researchers of a obscure research project by the name of Department K. Believing their research could remove his illness he joined and began the painful process, but by the end of it Wade’s dormant healing factor became thrown into overdrive; but the catch was there was no bridging the pain of regeneration or purification of his cells. Wade felt every second and every day for several months of his cancer being wiped from his body.

During the recuperation process, Wade found himself in a facility obscurely associated with the project located in rural Canada. This is where Wade Wilson met Doctor Emrys Killebrew, his enforcer Ajax, and several others. This is also where Wade Wilson would lose himself. Killebrew was fascinated with Wade’s “supergene” that allowed him to regenerate all sorts of levels. Believing it to be the process to create a super soldier program that would rival HYDRA and SHIELD’s glory days he began to pick apart Wade Wilson and for quite some time Wade felt this on a daily basis as he succumbed to pain that he could only imagine. Wade attempted to bond with other patients of the program like Worm to keep him from losing himself despite the constant agonizing pain. Wade even began to think that he was communicating with the visage of Death, but death never came. One night, Wade heard how his constitution and endurance were put into a betting pool— the Likelihood of him living. He tried to escape, but even with his training the unbelievable amount of pain placed him at a disadvantage. When Worm died, Wade lost it and attempted to kill Ajax. The punishment for such insolence was Wade’s supposed end as he was deemed to have served his purpose. Ajax and Killebrew dissected Wade, chopped him into tiny pieces, set him on fire, and tossed him in a drain pipe. A normal person… would have died.

Regenerating from the state Wade had made him finally not just go over the brink of madness, but dancing in the fields of madness. Seeing Death again was nice for Wade, but he refused to be ready for it when the taste of vengeance drove his will to live. The regenerated Wade found his memories in pieces; only remembering fragments of the recent years. Eventually finding himself in New York City, Wade began living off the money of drug dealers he non-specifically murdered as he tried to get things on track. Wade began calling himself “Deadpool” after his memories started coming back regarding on what he witnessed in Department K and sought to hunt down Ajax. However, finding Ajax and by extension Killebrew was very difficult— even for a man like Wade with a certain set of “skills”. As the weeks went on Wade discovered that Ajax had supposedly resigned from Department K and had decided a career in organized crime was more befitting his type of psychopathy. Fortunately, this made Ajax much easier to find considering he had decided to setup shop in Detroit; a place where Wade “infiltrated” as he began killing through Ajax’s thugs and scientists to get to the top of the chain where he could end Ajax’s life but not before he told him where to find Killebrew. The answers he got after several firefights pointed in one direction— Weapon X.

Thus it was time to sign up.

Team X was a group mutants who worked as black ops special forces troops who did whatever Romulus told them to. No one knew exactly who Romulus was, but they knew that he was an ancient mutant with the ability to coarse animals to follow his bidding. The animal within Wolervine had betrayed him, and Logan was under Romulus' control for as long as his feral mind remained intact. For Logan to break free, he would have to acknowledge that he was more man than monster.

Team X consisted of Wolverine, Sabertooth, Deadpool, Copycat, Maverick, John Wraith, Mastodon and later Lady Deathstrike and X-23. The latter two were all created using Wolverine's DNA and possessed various parts of Wolverine's mutation.

Team X operated during various wars and conflicts throughout the years. They battled the Sentinel Order's Asian division in Korea during the Korean War. When the Cold War began, Wolverine and Sabertooth were sent to Russia to locate a device capable of creating Carbonium, a metal similar to Adamantium but easier to synthesize, and less poisonous to humans when handled without the proper equipment. They encountered the agent known as Omega Red before escaping with the device and delivering it to Romulus. The team split up briefly when the Vietnam War began, with Wolverine sent to take down an out of control super soldier named Nuke. Logan succeeded in bringing the man down, and brought him back to Weapon X before being sent back to Vietnam. Wolverine continued to assassinate various politicians, generals and activists who stood in the way of mutant progress. Romulus' forces clashed with the Trask family and their Sentinel Order as history continued to move on, oblivious to the secret war occurring in the shadows.

Now it is 2012, and hiding their war is becoming harder and harder. The newest member of the Trask dynasty, Bolivar Trask, has taken over Trask Industries in America and started to work on the Sentinel program. Mutants are going missing every day, and Romulus believes Trask is somehow involved. So he was assigned Wolverine with the task of hunting down everyone involved in the scheme and bringing them to justice, freeing his mutant brothers and sisters in the process.

POWERS & ABILITIES
  • Super Soldier Physiology – The physiology gained through experimentation on Wade has transformed Wade into “The Modern Age’s Captain America but way cooler” and as such gives Wade a condition that is ‘peak human’ in terms of endurance, strength, perception, and dexterity.
  • Healing Factor – As a byproduct of his accelerated x-gene, Wade’s degenerative disease was curbed due to the acceleration of a latent x-gene that unbeknownst to Wade existed in his genetic code and as such revealed itself to be as a healing factor that is even more tenacious than Wolverine’s own. Wade can survive even the most fatal of injuries.
  • Close Quarters Combat – Wade was trained as a special operations operative and soldier in his early adulthood and despite his insanity has carried over instinctively. He’s a “MLG pro” at military CQC, Krav Maga, Jujitsu, and Judo. This also extends to his use of knives and katanas.
  • Marksman – Wade claims to be an expert sniper despite having little care for accuracy; his gunfire turning entire neighborhoods and facilities into swiss cheese. Though while his preference for submachine guns and inaccurate displays of “Deadpool-style gunplay” Wade is telling the truth in that he was an expert sniper and spec-ops operative before his foray into Department K.

Felicia Hardy / The Black Cat (II)

MORAL ALIGNMENT
WTL

AFFILIATION
The Kingpin (and his associates)
Herself

ORIGIN AND BACKSTORY
Felicia Hardy was born to two loving parents to a middle class neighborhood in Queens, New York. However, tragedy would soon arrive at the doorsteps of the Hardy residence when Felicia’s father, Walter Hardy, had to flee for the safety of his family. This of course was due to the fact that in his past Walter Hardy had been known as a grifter, thief, and con artist who was known internationally as “The Black Cat”. Wanted for his crimes over his storied career of heists and cons, Walter’s crowning achievement was the theft of an experimental super soldier process— a job he never finished due to a moral turnaround at last minute thus hiding away the contents of the process in one of his many hideaways. Unfortunately for Walter, The Kingpin’s criminal syndicate were on the trail of one of his many identities and fearing for his family’s life he disappeared as he began to lead his pursuers on a wild goose chase for over a decade.

However, as noble as this may have been it was not without consequences. Felicia was distraught throughout her youth which led her to act out in angst, sadness, and anger. Despite the foundation of her childhood friends such as Mary Jane Watson, Felicia’s knack for getting into trouble outweighed her friend’s positive influence. Felicia coped with picking locks, using her wit to charm others, and getting into rough fights throughout junior high with other girls. Her mother Lydia became distant as she threatened her daughter with the consequences of juvenile activities and the fact that Felicia was turning into a misguided version of Walter— a fact that only made her mother impose more rules and threats by the time she made it into high school. Mary Jane tried to keep in touch as the two friends ended up at different high schools but it seemed Felicia was on a downward spiral.

However, one night over the summer after her freshmen year Felicia found herself ensnared. The Kingpin’s associates had finally made the connection with The Black Cat and Lydia Hardy. In order to flush out Walter they extorted Felicia’s mother and kidnapped Felicia. The truth behind her father’s disappearance was revealed and Felicia found her whole world destroyed. As her father came out of hiding to save his daughter with super soldier serum in hand something wicked happened. In order to ensure Walter’s loyalty and that he wasn’t giving them a dummy serum they did the one thing they could that made sure of the authenticity— they tested it on Felicia. Felicia’s next moments were pain, agony, and mutation. Felicia refused to die from the agonizing process.

Following the incident Felicia found herself intimidating in being trained to work for these criminals by the threat of them killing her father if she sought help, attempted action against them, or acted unfavorably. Felicia Hardy would become the second Black Cat and would serve them as their “acquisition specialist”.

Returning home to her mother, things evened out. However, things grew tenser at home as her mother starts to date widowed police detective, Harrison Thompson. She finds a friendship with his daughter, Jesse – and a rivalry with his son, Flash. But Felicia carried on… and her story continues.

POWERS & ABILITIES
  • Artificially Enhanced Physiology – Felicia has been modified due to a “super soldier serum” that has given her strength, speed, durability, agility, reflexes, and senses to a high level that is either peak human or near-superhuman. These come with a cost of altering Felicia’s brain although it seems her morality is still in-tact.
  • Probability Manipulation – Felicia has the ability to manipulate her own personal “probability field” to modify chance to play in her favor. This was a latent x-gene that mutated during her transformation process.
  • Expert Thief – Felicia is a skilled thief skilled in stealth, picking locks, escapology, evading alarms, and cracking safes.
  • Hand-to-Hand Combat – Felicia has been trained in martial forms during her time working for The Kingpin. Such training has led her to combat reflexes, superior technique, and so forth.
  • Firearms – Felicia has basic-to-intermediate firearms training.

Ant-Man

NAME
Henry “Hank” Pym, Jr.

MORAL ALIGNMENT
Hero

AFFILIATION
Pym Technologies
The Avengers

ORIGIN AND BACKSTORY
Henry and his sister, Hope, were born in 1988 as a set of fraternal twins in the Pym Estate in New York City. For most of his childhood a degree of his parents past seemed shaded in ambiguity. This was due to the fact of Henry Pym (Sr.) and Janet Van Dyne’s former work with the federal agency known as SHIELD, a secret that the two tried to keep buried throughout their children’s youth. As it is known, Henry Pym founded Pym Technologies whilst he also invested in his wife’s start-up company called Yellowjacket — a fashion design firm that due to Janet’s expertise in business and enterprise led to a successful venture that became one of the most relevant fashion & design firms in New York City.

After a brief attendance at Empire University Hank found himself bored and feeling anxious at home. His father and mother had recently separated due to an altercation between them that led to additional stress at the Pym Estate. Whilst his sister fell into academia as a full-on exile Hank seemed to approach his stressful feelings in the opposite direction as he began to get into a string of debates that turned into messy arguments with his father. After several of these arguments and the issues that followed Hank decided he was done with New York and took a flight to Europe for an extended period of time. In the period that followed he began wandering as a sort of wayward soul as he traveled through Transia, Sokovia, Slokovia, Lichtenbad, Latveria, and other countries as he tried to not only get away from the expectations of his family and his peers but also to gather his thoughts— to become something closer to himself and not “Henry Pym II”. However, years later in 2011 Hank returned when Hope, the only one he kept in contact with, reached out to him telling Hank that he had to come home immediately—something had happened.

Henry Pym, Hank’s father had been hospitalized. Annoyed at however this could’ve happened, whatever bridges he thought were broken between him and his father seemed to reconstruct overnight as he took flight from Paris to New York. His father’s condition brought the fractured family together in a weird fit of irony – something that Hank would reflect on much later. Following clues left by his father, he discovered the culprit of his father’s condition being Pym Technologies co-founder, Elias Weams, who was on the brink of discovering “Weams Particles” and continuing a project that Pym wanted buried due to the dangers of not only development of the technologies but also the military consequences that were bound to follow-- Pym refused to allow his company to go the way of Stark or Osborn. Knowing Pym was in his way Weams hired an individual to take care of him named Hargood Wickham. After discovering his father’s “Ant Man” suit, his journal, and connecting the plot to Wickham and Weams he proceeded with stopping Weams’ intentions by donning the Ant-Man suit and infiltrating the facility to sabotage the fruits of Weams’ labor. This would end with a battle (after dispatching Wickham) between Hank and Weams’ – but not before Weams donned the “Gigantus” suit himself driving him insane in the process. When Weams was defeated he found himself at the center spotlight to the world and the vigilante career for Hank had begun.

It seemed like the Pym family was back on track with the recovery of Henry Pym and his rekindling of his relationship with Janet, Hope’s extreme success at taking control of Pym Technologies in the aftermath of Elias Weams betrayal and attempted murder of her father, and Hank’s own passion for helping others through the identity of Ant-Man— things were settling back in. Deciding to stay out of Pym Technologies Hank looked to focusing full-time on helping others and looking into the history of the AST-62 suit through discussions with his father. As 2011 came to a close he found himself stopping many threats unaware that there was one just looming on the horizon…

POWERS & ABILITIES
  • Genius Level Intelligence – Henry has inherited the intellectual capacity and capability of both of his parents and despite not using it as often as he should still shows that he is an extremely smart as well as creative individual who thinks consistently out of the box and on his feet. This lends to a great ability to get out of difficult combat scenarios as well as engineering gadgets seemingly on the fly.
  • AST-62 – Codenamed the “Ant-Man”. The AST-62 (although heavily modified) is a state of the art technological exo-suit developed by Henry Pym Sr. to exploit the utility of Pym Particles for a variety of uses. The suit was ideal for covert operations during the Cold War especially due to its ability to shrink or expand the wearer in size by several magnifications, enhancing the wearer’s speed & strength, and also using a cybernetic helmet with low frequency psionic emitters could grant communication and partial control of insects.
  • Hand-to-Hand Combat – Starting with self-defense classes in the twins childhood, Henry was introduced to judo and karate classes which he kept up decently into his teenage years which is when he “got bored” of the instruction during his rebellious phase. Recently he has been implementing his martial arts into his crime-fighting.

SAMPLE POST

“Do you want ants, Hank? This is how you get ants!”

“You just said…” Hank’s smile grew before suddenly he just lost it.

Maria Trovaya had no idea why Henry “Hank” Pym Jr. had just bursted out in laughter, making her feel like a damned idiot in the process. Maria’s brows narrowed and her cheeks rose in agitation as she slammed her foot down in Hank’s apartment in New York City trying to stop his childish outburst. The apartment was not particularly lavish and it was only accented by her frustration of how her supposed boyfriend was keeping his apartment; open containers of sugar on the floor, a broken sink that he still hadn’t gotten to, and various other issues that just pointed to the man’s lack of giving a shit entirely.

“...I’m sorry,” Hank let out an exhausted chuckle.

“Augh! You’re impossible, Hank!”
SLAM!

“...Maria. Oh shit.

Hank ran the palm of his right hand of his face; he was such an idiot sometimes. The twenty-four year old knew that his girlfriend was going to be pissed with him and probably for more than a standard business week. He shook his head, that was the kind of shit that got him in trouble with his sister when they were younger-- one stupid joke led to one swift punch and Hope knew how to throw punches. His girlfriend however was less of the hitting type to tell him he was an idiot and more of the ‘I’m going to leave and not talk to you for a week because I think you laughed at me and thus belittled my entire existence’ type. Honestly after this relationship he found his sister so much more endearing. Definitely preferred the punching.

He took another breath as he turned to his kitchen as he tapped a small watch on his wrist. “You can come out now, she’s gone.” He muttered as a small group of ants emerged from their hiding places.

Well, his girlfriend was kind of right about the whole ants thing. Sort of.
KNOCK KNOCK!

“Huh? She’s never gotten over something this fast before…” Without thinking about the ants he went to open the door and a face he didn’t recognize looked down at him as a badge was shoved in his face-- one he recognized. SHIELD.

“Henry Pym Jr. I presume?”

Hank could feel his throat swell and his heart tick. “No, I’m Tony Stark. He lives a few doors down, you can’t miss him.”

“Very funny. But we need to have a conversation. About Ant-Man.”

Character You Wish To Play: America Chavez

Alias: Ms. America

Moral Alignment: Hero

Affiliation: The Avengers

Character Origin & Backstory:
America Chavez grew up in a mysterious place named the Utopian Parallel with her mums. The Utopian Parallel is a place that strangely exists far from all other worlds; out of time and the multiverse itself. It was created many years ago by a Godly entity known as the Demiurge, the sentient life force of Earth's biosphere who seeded the Earth with 'pieces' of its own life essence. Life didn’t stay like paradise for long. At the age of six, America watched as destruction approached her home, with a black hole appearing in the sky. Tragically, the hole was attempting to pull her home directly into the multiverse, which would potentially destroy all life on the Parallel in the process. America’s mothers, the guardians of the Utopian Parallel, heroically sacrificed their bodies and souls in order to seal the black hole. Eager to help her mothers, America flew towards the hole not knowing what her parents were doing. This resulted in her being sucked through, with America finding herself alive and well in the multiverse.

Due to her mothers’ particles being smeared across the entire Multiverse as a result of them sealing the black holes, America found that she could now physically kick open her own doorways through reality, allowing her to travel the multiverse at her will. Deciding to make her parents proud and to honour their sacrifice, she trained and explored, eventually adopting the moniker ‘Ms. America’, and began fighting crime and against any threats that she came across.

Eventually, Ms. America became a member of the Teen Brigade, a team of teenager superheroes led by the Ultimate Nullifier. They faced many threats during their time together, although none of them that major, with the group regularly going toe to toe with z-listers or simple thugs and robbers. It was mainly for these reasons why America soon decided to leave, with her believing that she could probably do a much better job on her own. Well that, and the fact that she had begun a relationship with the Ultimate Nullifier who defiantly wasn’t her type by a long shot.

While still travelling the multiverse, America tends to frequently reside on Earth-212, a platonic perfect ideal of New York, where the metropolis has swept the entire globe and there’s mountains made of statues of liberty. This is when she discovers Earth-76031, with her realizing that here is crime rates are high and people are in serious need of a good punching. Especially when she discovered that someone was supplying MGH to Earth-212 from this new dimension.

Season 1 Summary:
America debuted on Earth-76031 started with a bang, after finding herself going toe to toe with the Incredibly Hulk. Fortunately Loki managed to put a stop to this by teleporting the green beast away.

America and Thor were soon picked up by S.H.I.E.L.D. where she was introduced to this Earth's Captain America. Explaining to him her situation, she left in order to finish her mission of stopping the inter-dimensional MGH dealer. She recruited mutant telepath Quentin Quire to assist her, who after using his abilities discovered that whoever was behind the dealings worked at a company called Bishop Packaging.

There they discovered that the company's CEO, Derek Bishop, was working alongside the dimension hopping mutant Pusher Man. While taking them down, American and Quentin were assisted by Derek's daughter Kate. After the fight, S.H.I.E.L.D. came to do cleanup, while the mysterious Hyperion arrived and invited America to join the Avengers, taking her to the Triskellion where they took part in a group training mission.

Player Name: Natty

Character You Wish To Play: Frederick "Fred" Myers

Alias: Boomerang

Moral Alignment: Villain

Affiliation: None as of yet.

Character Origin & Backstory:

Migrating from Australia into the US at an early age, Fred's mother sent him away to baseball for his first summer in the country, in an attempt to get the boy to make friends and to take his mind off the move and her recent divorce. Sending Fred to the camp turned out to be a good decision, as he quickly grew to love the sport, joining his local team after discovering he had the arm to be a great pitcher. He soon began to dream of pitching for a major league team one day. Amazingly this dream seemed to come true, with Fred becoming a professional baseball player in the minor leagues after graduating high school, before entering the major leagues a few years later.

However it was during this time that Fred seemed to fall into a bad crowd, and after a while built up a considerable dept with a local loan-shark. In an effort to payback his debts, Fred began taking bribes to loose games so that his loan-shark could bet on him. This plan backfired tremendously however, with Fred getting caught out and suspended from playing baseball any more. His life fell apart after that, with Fred simply staying home all day and refusing to leave the house.

That was when he was approached by Secret Empire, an international criminal organization who felt that Fred had the potential to be of great use for them due to his world-class pitching skills. Due to his Australian heritage, they aptly named him Boomerang, equipping him with a costume, as well as a collection of razor sharp boomerangs. After robbing a small bank in Brooklyn for the group, Fred wasn't happy with his cut, considering he had done the heavy lifting. Due to this, Fred gave an anonymous tip to the police on the group's location and had them arrested.

Keeping the suit, Boomerang soon branched out on his own, performing a variety of minor robberies. He was soon confronted by the amazing Spider-Man, and after a short scuffle, found himself behind bars. During his time in prison, he began to plot his revenge against the hero, forming a hatred for the guy. He soon discovered that his cellmate, Herman Schultz, had also been apprehended by Spider-Man, with the two bonding slightly over this. Herman soon suggested that they form some kind of team, in order to more easily complete heists, as well as have more firepower once the heroes turned up.

Returning to the streets of New York, Boomerang and Shocker brought this idea to life, inviting both Hydro-Man and Speed Demon to join them.

Season 1 Summary:
After picking up his former cellmate, the Shocker, from prison, Boomerang led his ragtag bunch of crooks to the Bar With No Name for a celebratory drink. Here, Speed Demon managed to start a fight with another super-powered bar patron; Hippo. This led to a full on bar brawl, with Boomerang, Shocker, Speed Demon, and Hydro-Man VS Hippo, Mirage, Big Wheel, and Leap-Frog. After winning the fight, Boomerang revealed to his team that they were going to try and steal a painting of the infamous Doctor Doom. A painting of him without his mask!

Since that evening, the group have begun planning their heist, performing a few small jobs here and there.

Powers and Abilities:
While Myers has no real superhuman abilities, he is skilled in the area of creating and using complicated boomerangs of his own designs as weapons. Examples of his arsenal includes:

Explosive Boomerang: Detonates on contact, damage to all in one area.

Razor Boomerang: A boomerang capable of cutting through bone and flesh when thrown correctly.

Both of these designs are collapsible for easy concealment.

Supporting Cast:
Herman Schultz AKA Shocker: Herman was Fred's cellmate during his most recent stay in the slammer. After getting out the two stayed in touch, working jobs together. Herman is probably the closest thing Fred has to a friend, as well as being the one whom (unfortunately) introduced him to Hydro-Man and Speed Demon.

Morris Bench AKA Hydro-Man: A fellow super villain, Hydro-Man often teams up with Boomerang and Shocker when the opportunity arises.

James Sanders AKA Speed Demon: A speedster, James is as annoying as he is fast. Fred often finds himself wanting to throttle the guy, and the only reason he hasn't is because he's useful.

Sample Story Arcs: Give 2-3 ideas on where you want to go with your character.
Heist of the century: The gang attempt to get their hands on a legendary (possibly made up) artifact that currently lies in the hands of the infamous Kingpin of crime.

The New Sinister Six: After the spectacular Spider-Man apprehends the villainous Sinister Six, Boomerang decides that his crew is good enough as any to take the mantle!

The Thunderbolts: Apprehended once more, Fred finds himself on the raft, although things may not be as bad as they seem when he receives a unique offer from the warden.

They weren't just soldiers following orders, they had chosen their path. He worked quickly, cleanly and efficiently and when life got weirder, so did he.

With the discovery of some of the original Super-Soldier serum, and the eventual complete and utter mapping of the serum. He was injected and augmented, while it wasn't enough to make him a rival to the original Captain America with the flight harness he was still just as dangerous and just as skilled and as such a New Captain America was revealed to the World on front of the White House. The Presidents promise to help keep the citizens of America (And the world) safe from all the wacky dangers that were presenting themselves these days. Since then he has continued working for S.H.I.E.L.D as Captain America, and has recently been given a very... serious project.
Powers and Abilities:
- Assisted Flight: As an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D he recieved training in use of a rare flight system, essentially a jetpack with wings he became renowned in a new age of Governmental Super-heroes, this was prior to recieving the super serum.
- Super Serum: An original sample of the Super-Soldier serum that created Captain America was discovered by S.H.I.E.L.D, after running every possible test they could in order to re-create the serum. However then with an emergence of villains, and heroes. Fury decided the best solution was to give the serum to his most skilled, and trusted, agent. Sam Wilson. The serum gives him increased endurance, strength, slightly increases his cognitive abilities (nothing major, just makes him able to make snap decisions quickly) and also gives him a minor healing factor. Nothing akin to the Wolverine or the Hulk however if a wound isn't immediately fatal and is cared for correctly he will heal quicker than the average Joe. However, as he recieved less of a dose than Steve Rogers his augmentations at the hands of the serum are less than the original Captain Americas.

Summary of Season 1:

In season 1 FalCap (Nickname) saved civilians in the fallout of Hulk v.s. SThor and Miss America, later going on to fight A.I.M in the savage lands and encountering Sauron. He was saved by Agent Milton (a.k.a Hyperion). After returning from the savage lands Nick Fury tasks Sam Wilson with forming a new team of super powered individuals and train them.

Sample Story Arcs:
- Avengers Initiative : The Avengers Roster is up, but now they need to become a team.
- Fall of S.H.I.E.L.D : Self Explanatory.
- Finding of the first Captain : If someone wants to apply as Steve Rogers, I think it'd be quite nice to keep both characters and have them meet after the first is unfrozen.

Sample Post:

"You have to be kidding with these choices sir." Wilson was in complete and utter disbelief. He believed in the program, however these candidates... were just terrible. He pushed a file forward. "This one, ex-criminal turned S.H.I.E.L.D agent, turned criminal?" He then pushed forward another one "This ones just a kid in a pair of tights-" Fury went to interrupt, however Wilson didn't give him the chance. "These last two, one isn't confirmed to be a hero or even powered and the other one is literally the god of mischief that can't end well." He sighed, before Fury spoke up again.

"You done?" Wilson just nodded. "I know you can handle these individuals and can shape them into a team, yes most of them are inexperienced, rookies even. Hotshots and lone wolfs but we need to pull them together-" He pointed to the screen behind him which currently shown the Hulks rampage in New York. "We need a team who can handle it when something like that or worse can happen. Also-" He pointed to the woman wielding the hammer. "That confirms that she is powered, and the other one is an unknown. Though she seems patriotic." Wilson just chuckled at that. "So did the people you sent Taskmaster to hunt down." Fury just kind of grumbled at that one, being pushed by the Council to do things never ended up with the best results.

"I'm not asking, you're the one who can lead this team. You have the leadership skills, the training and the capability to do it theres no doubt about that. Just think what will keep happening if superheroes keep going unchecked, eventually we're going to get given the order to hunt them down and start putting them in cells." He threw an additional file on the table as he walked out. "Also, if it wasn't clear. This is an order." Sam just laughed as the door closed behind Fury, before opening the file on the table.

"Oh Lord, not Barton."

Character You Wish To Play: Moira MacTaggert
Alias: None
Moral Alignment (Hero, Villain, Walking the Line): Walking the Line
Affiliation (what group/team/organization, if any, is your character affiliated with?): Horizon Labs
Character Origin & Backstory:
Moira MacTaggert was already a world-renowned geneticist, who, after graduating Valedictorian at University College Dublin, pioneered cures for several inherited diseases. However, after the existence of mutants was revealed to the world, Moira changed the focus of her research entirely, as one of the first to study these new beings and their extraordinary abilities.
In the gap between Seasons 1 and 2, she published a book titled What Mutants Mean for You that was an instant bestseller, detailing her belief that mutants would one day inherit the earth from humans and that this was a good thing. Rich from its royalties, she began travelling the world, studying mutants wherever she could find them, cataloguing their abilities, and keeping in contact. She has made attempts to reach the X-Men, saying she could help them understand their abilities, but she has not been able to find them. She has also begun work on a mysterious device, one about which she has revealed no details except for saying that it will change the world. Only she knows its function: turning humans into mutants. (Is that enough? I can write more.)
Powers and Abilities (What can your character do? What can't they do?): Expert geneticist. No superhuman abilities or specialized equipment.
Sample Story Arcs: Give 2-3 ideas on where you want to go with your character.
1. Moira recruits a team of mutants to form the All-Star version of X-Force or X-Factor, though she’s more interested in studying them than she is in crimefighting.
2. Moira unleashes her human-to-mutant device on the world, sparking massive controversy the world over, as many see it as extremely dangerous.
(I know both of these are really general, but I think a lot of what I have planned for this character is so far-reaching that it’ll really depend on what the GM and other players do.)
Sample Post:
Moira awoke in her Staten Island penthouse. Last night had been a late one, and part of her wanted to sleep a while longer, but there was work to be done, important work. She got up, stretched, dressed herself, brushed her teeth, downed some coffee, and headed out.
As usual, she hailed a taxi to take her to her lab in Queens. The driver this time was a middle-aged woman with tattoos, wearing a bandana and a denim vest. Moira climbed in. The driver must have seen her through the rearview mirror, for after getting the destination, her very next words were, “Hey, you’re that Irish lady who writes about mutants, right?”
“Yes,” said Moira, “t’would be me.”
“Well, I read that book of yours,” said the driver. “Reeeaaal interesting stuff. Not sure how much of it I buy, but interesting stuff.”
“I’m glad ye liked it,” Moira responded. “And I stand by every word I wrote.”
“Figured,” said the driver. “You don’t come off as the type to write something you don’t believe.” There was a terse silence the rest of the drive.
Moira got out at her destination and entered her lab. Time to set the world on fire, she thought.

Character You Wish To Play: Thor Odinson

Moral Alignment (Hero, Villain, Walking the Line): Hero

Affiliation (what group/team/organization, if any, is your character affiliated with?): The Avengers, Asgardians and Midgardians alike

Character Origin & Backstory: Thor Odinson was the sole son of Odin, king of Asgard. From the start he was thick in the privileged life being the son of royalty. He had the finest clothes, the best hand crafted weapons at his disposal, and the adoration of the town. As such growing up Thor had the ego that matched his growing strength and skill in combat. However there was always something that kept the young lad's pride from overtaking his common sense. His younger brother Loki.

While he never understood until years later why Loki wasn't as liked in the kingdom as he was. Thor looked up to his younger brother in a lot of ways. Loki's use of cunning in combat was seen as a hindrance and making up in physical weakness. However Thor always admired it, having never been the brightest himself admittedly. He studied it and tried to incorporate it into his own battle style to success. It was that, plus all the adventures the two would have that Thor loved about his brother. He wasn't even phased when he learned the truth, he saw no reason to see Loki as anything less even if his blood wasn't the same as his.

However after the fateful night Loki lost to Eltri and was mocked by all of the people of Asgard. A night Thor was about to come to his brother's aid when his father strictly forbidden him from doing so. Thor saw the slowly evolving change in Loki. The bitterness and hate growing even as Thor tried to subdue it by having Loki join him on quests and journeys. Hoping to rekindle the fun they had as kids.

When of a proper age Thor was given the hammer Mjolnir by his father that was made by Eltri. He loved it and it quickly became his favorite and most cherished weapon. Though soon after Loki went into exile and after being found was put into torture for as long as he lived. Again Thor, realizing what it all meant, still remained helpless to do anything about it.

It was soon after Ragnarok occurred, the twisted damnation of blood and horrors that Thor found himself in the middle of. It was in the midst of this battlefield Thor and Loki finally found themselves face to face. Thor tried in vain to bring some sense of reason to Loki but his brother was gone. The battle was chaotic and violent, however when Thor finally had the chance to end Loki and bring the madness to a stop his love for his brother made it impossible. It was from that moment on Thor escaped the collapsing Asgard kingdom through a mix of luck, desperation, and a selfishness that bothers him to this day. He lost Mjolnir in all the insanity but the situation would have left him dead if he hadn't.

When Thor found himself on Midgard he was left without so much as a rhyme or reason to exist. Instead with nothing but a name he took to journeying the world the Midgardians made for themselves. It was a fascinating and humbling experience for the now former prince. From hiking across the plains of China ,working as a carriage handler in Victorian London, to crazy enough working as a roadie for ABBA. Thor has seen just about everything the world has to offer. Finally he settled down in a small cabin out in the wilderness of the area now known as Montana. He would from time to time journey out to various nearby small towns for whatever essentials he needed but mostly kept to himself. Staying off the grid of the growing world around him with only a basic idea what was happening around him.

When SHIELD were keeping an eye on Tarene in her destructive quest for Loki's head. They came across an unusual reading that led them to finding that there was an Asgardian hiding in rural Montana...

Season One Summary: Thor began has he had been for the last how ever many years since the fall of Asgard, in hiding. In a remote cabin in Montana, Thor was discovered to be living there by SHIELD who sent Loki there to speak with him. However nobody realized it was actually Thor, believing it to be some random Asgardian. The first meeting between the brothers went surprisingly peaceful however given their past. Thor and Loki able to speak to one another about the events and although Loki didn’t want to officially consider Thor a brother yet, Thor felt good about the future between them.

When Loki brought Thor back to New York City with him, Thor was on a quest to find and reclaim his beloved Mjolnir. Which was in the penthouse office of Tony Stark at StarkTech HQ. With Stark having just been seriously hurt from it at the hands of Tarene. Thor reclaimed Mjolnir and now is looking for the first big adventure as Thor, son of Odin and God of Thunder.

Powers and Abilities (What can your character do? What can't they do?): Being of both Asgardian and Elder God ancestor. Thor possesses strength, invulnerability, stamina, and speed. Though the most notable thing about Thor is his weapon of choice, Mjolnir. With it Thor can levitate and fly by throwing it and holding onto the handle and control of weather in particular lightning.

Ever since Thor started living his life on Earth, Thor has been able to adapt and learn plenty of new tools. From iron forging, leather work, caring for horses, cooking, farming, to countless other things. Thor has a knack for plenty of different tasks. Though even with seeing it grow around him Thor still hasn't quite figured out modern technology.

Sample Story Arcs:
The first and naturally the easiest is trying to rekindle his relationship with his brother Loki. Wanting to believe that Loki is a changed man, but naturally having his doubts.

Thor wants to see a re-birthing of Asgard and goes on a journey to do so.

Meeting a wonderful young woman in Jane Thomas, Thor has to decide if he can continue being the mighty warrior, or finally settle down.

Sample Post (This is used as an introduction to your writing – try to keep it to around three paragraphs or more and try to include dialogue):
Midgard's alcoholic brews just never quite satisfied him quite like the Asgardian beverages. The kind of 1000 year old fermented masterpieces of booze that a mere mortal could only possibly barely handle. Still the occasional beer did its job to soothe away any woes he had at that moment.

The cabin he had made for himself all those years ago still sufficed perfectly. Aside from the rare kids who would come out to it, because of some stupid myth it was haunted by the ghost of a crankily old man. Thor didn't really have anyone bother him and he was perfectly fine with it. The house had only just gotten electricity to come to it, but aside from a refrigerator and some lights Thor didn't really have much else. The one time he really tried to watch TV it just made him annoyed to the point he broke the TV punching it, and the internet... that library still won't let him back.

As Thor finished the last of the bottle and not having much else to do at the moment got up from the old couch to get another beer. Carelessly tossing the empty bottle into a trash bin with a small 'clang!' emitting from it. Thor opened up the fridge to find aside from random small dishes he had made for himself recently. The fridge was practically hollow in its emptiness.

“Damn.”

Thor sighed annoyed as he flipped the door close, throwing a jacket on over his beat up t-shirt and jeans to go get some things in town.

Thor always felt weird doing these sort of things everyone around him seem to never really think about. How back all those years ago he'd never one think to get something himself, the Asgard kingdom had more than enough people there to get him something at his slightest whim. As Thor grabbed a case of Samuel Adams, he thought for a moment about that, and its sad but natural course into what had happened to his home. It seems like a day to day wonder if he should hope Loki is alive or dead. At least dead he might finally have made peace with the nightmare he caused.

"Ugh Loki, you're making me shop at a grocery store. You are an evil prick..." Thor just weakly joked under his breath as he stopped and looked around the store. Trying to remember where the bologna was.

Character You Wish To Play: Reed Richards – Mr. Fantastic

Moral Alignment (Hero, Villain, Walking the Line): Hero

Affiliation (what group/team/organization, if any, is your character affiliated with?): Leader of the Fantastic Four

Character Origin & Backstory: When Reed was born he already had a legacy, albeit it a short one, that would've been daunting for most others. Reed's father was Nathan Richards, a brilliant scientist who had written numerous books and documentaries on space and the concepts of everything around it. His mother Helen Richards though also had many scientific degrees in various fields. Even with all this however, Reed showed even early on that he was capable of being smarter than any of them. By the time most kids were just going into pre-school Reed already had the knowledge that could put him into High School. Even still though his parents wanted him to learn patience and humility, so they had him go through the school years and never leap ahead any grades, despite numerous people at school insisting he did.

When Reed however reached the age of 14 everything changed. His father was working on design concepts and small scale experiments on something he proudly told Reed 'would change everything'. However after one resulted in a miniature black hole that nearly sucked him in before he was able to shut it off. Nathan Richards canceled and abandoned the project quickly. He started using his time and stature in the scientific world to make sure that the very leaps and bounds were handled responsibly worrying that one advancement made too quickly could be apocalyptic in its sheer danger. It all led to him however finding out about experiments being done in Latervia and by one Victor Von Doom. The leader of the country was creating something Nathan Richards worried could lead to even more destructive danger than his own experiment. One night he went into Reed's room before his bed time, kissed him on the cheek. He told him that daddy had to go do something important, and that no matter what he loved him very much.

That night was the last time Reed has ever seen his father.

Seemingly Nathan Richards vanished off the map. Never telling anyone where he went made finding him all but impossible. Reed though in his grief finished everything through High School in a depression fueled rage. Getting a G.E.D. Diploma that he doesn't even keep out anywhere out of shame. As he knew later after a talk with his mom that he couldn't let what happened affect him. Still Reed found himself in a deep slump of sadness that he couldn't shake. His dad meant a lot to a lot of people, but to Reed he was a superhero. Someone he didn't have to look up too because he was right there, always with that smile, and that belly laugh that always made Reed himself laugh.

By chance the New York Comic Con was coming up, something the more geeky side of Reed loved attending every year since he was very little. Worrying about Reed, she had Reed's long time friend. The equally geeky Benjamin Graham, take him on a weekend trip to the convention. She got them hotels next to the convention center, and gave Reed plenty for goodies and food. Still by the end of the first day it didn't seem like it was working, Reed just mostly stayed in the hotel room, watching TV as Ben had to seemingly beg to even get him to go out for dinner that night. However the next day Reed finally went, more to shut Ben up than anything else. However during the day when he was sulking along he saw something radiant. The girl his age was simply stunning, even without considering the lovely costume she was cosplaying in. Reed's heart thumped harder and harder at the sight of her. Ben realizing what was happening played wing man and quickly got Reed to go talk to her. Her name was Susan Storm, and the two couldn't be detached from one another for the rest of the weekend.

Shortly there after Reed was approached by her father, another renowned scientist in Dr Franklin Storm. Reed knew about and admired his work (Having not really previously connected the dots on Susan being his daughter), and was surprised when Dr. Storm asked him to join his think tank program The Future Foundation. Reed was flattered, but as of yet hasn't had any idea what project he could do with them.

Season One Summary: Reed Richards was just probing through his father’s old work like he did on occasion when Susan came to visit. During the visit however Reed found the designs for his father’s teleporter machine which he was able to talk Susan’s father into helping fund. The tests and concepts all worked until they got to the final large scale test.

Before the test however Harvey Elder, a long time friend of Susan and Reed. Got fellow friends Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm to help get Susan and Reed see the affections they had for one another. It all came to a head right when the test was activating, Reed and Susan went in for the kiss when suddenly the machine overreacted, exploding and not only teleporting the five from their base outside of Reno to Las Vegas. But also exposing all five of them to the negative zone and its dangerous dozes of cosmic radiation.

When the four came to it they each suffered mild effects from the radiation, but seemed fine. That is until Harvey while hospitalized from the overreaction mutated into a giant monsterous form that became hellbent on destruction. The four each mutated themselves, gaining powers that they used to help subdue the mutated Harvey. After wards being picked up by SHIELD who brought them back to New York City for testing. Reed and Susan finally kissing during the ride back.

After being cleared by SHIELD and allowed to return back to the Storm’s home in the Baxter Building. They were surprised by a visit from Tony Stark and his PR rep Willy Lumpkins. Who came to them with an idea for turning their new found good publicity into a means of becoming a for-profit superhero team with a major celebrity status. The four agreed with Reed coming up with the team name and logo, Johnny (for the most part) coming up with everyone’s aliases, and Susan designing the costumes. The four were introduced in a special press conference held by Tony Stark to a very positive response.

Powers and Abilities (What can your character do? What can't they do?): Reed's body has undergone a metamorphosis where in his body essentially allows him to be completely and utterly flexible and elastic. He can stretch his limbs from toes to fingertip upwards of 3 miles but with practice that number can certainly raise. He can also reform himself into things like a ball shape to bounce around in, stretch individual limbs like fingers and toes, inflate himself or deflate himself flat, along with countless other feats that are hindered by his imagination alone. On top of this his body structure has changed completely. No longer supported by a skeletal structure, Reed's body has an almost harden gel like substance supporting it, as well as no longer a stomach but instead a unique bacteria sack that allows Reed to survive off of oxygen alone.

Reed though personally considers his biggest 'super power' to have always been his intelligence. Quite simply Reed Richards could very well be the most intelligent man on the planet. Having gotten top studying in astrophysics, biology, bio-engineering, and countless others.

Sample Story Arcs: Give 2-3 ideas on where you want to go with your character.

After the big project, the teleportation device his father was working on, fails spectacularly. Reed finds out one of the people who was working on it has mutated for the worst, a strange monster like creature that buries itself underground and produces mole like monsters a sexually. Finding out about him and having to fight its now mindless form leaves Reed depressed and blaming himself, on top of what happened to himself and the other three.

Reed along with the rest of the newly announced Fantastic Four begin to put the pieces together about where his father went and what happened to him, which leads them to a certain castle in Latervia.

(This one with Kid Lantern's permission of course) After their constant struggles and disappointments against 3D Man, The skrulls decide to use the Fantastic Four as the base for a new Super Skrull prototype. However when they get DNA samples from the four it causes the heroes' powers to go haywire, and result in the curious side effect of being able to exchange powers with one another through physical touch.

Sample Post (This is used as an introduction to your writing – try to keep it to around three paragraphs or more and try to include dialogue):

As Reed Richards could faintly hear sounds coming from all around him, the bathroom where his roommate for the weekend Ben Graham was singing Dinosaur Laser Fight, the traffic outside that is distinctive for New York City morning rush hour, and the dull sales person on the tv. Reed just quietly sighed to himself as he stared up at the ceiling while laying practically motionless in bed. Sure he had on clothes and had been awake for an hour or so, but he just would've rather gone back to bed.

It had been some time since his father told him good night that last time, before vanishing to who knows where and if his even alive there. As intelligent as the young man was he couldn't stop repeating questions that had no logical answer. The biggest one of all though was why, why did he leave? Was it something Reed did? Was his mom and dad not getting along as well as they were making it out to be? Reed's brain was wrecking itself as Ben came out of the bathroom. A light misting of steam coming out with him as he had changed into some fresh clothes. The large, muscular guy in a Jets jersey and jeans took his fingers through his blond buzzcut hair before glancing over at Reed.

“Hey Reed man you're awake!” Ben started into with the chummy Brooklyn accent of his. “Listen man come on its going to be great today, they're doing some giveaways today, and man the booth babes. Dude the booth babes are amazing this year let me tell...”

Ben paused, a bit disappointed as he watched Reed silently roll over in his bed putting his back to his friend. “No its fine, just go ahead man I'll catch up later.” Reed softly said with a sigh as he hoped Ben would leave.

“Reed...” Ben had to hold back his irritation before he walked over to his bed and sat at the side, facing Reed. “You told me that yesterday and you didn't do it. Hell I had to make you come have dinner with me last night. Look I really liked your dad too Reed, he was a Hell of a guy. But... come on man everyone is worried sick about you. This whole weekend was to give you something special. Bro I'm not just going to let you sit here and wallow away like this. That's not the Reed Richards I know.”

Looking out the window of the hotel room Reed grimaced, he knew Ben was right but there was still that part of his brain, that nagging feeling that told him he still didn't 'get it'. Still Reed had to fight it and hold it down as he shut his eyes for a second. He finally turned over, “I uh...” Reed had to force it out. “I guess...”

-Later-

It took some time, as it felt like Reed was just using small inconveniences and annoyances to just justify not wanting to be there. However Ben was prepared, and had to get Reed back into the right geeky frame of mind. It started with some panels where Ben was able to get autographs for Reed of some comic book writers and artists. Going through the booths Ben helped find Reed some figures that he was looking for. Slowly Reed was giving a faint grin, just letting himself get back into things again. It still hurt, but he saw how hard Ben was trying and if nothing else it was providing a nice distraction.

“Alright alright Ben seriously now, I think you know better than to doubt Captain Marvel.” Reed shook his head having to hold back a laugh.

Ben chuckled, not just because of their discussion but frankly he saw some people nearby give a slight cowering to his presence. There was something fun about looking like a jock and scaring people who would be impressed by the engineering and robotics knowledge he actually possessed. “No man Superman could totally take him, Captain Marvel is just a kid playing superhero.”

Reed smirked, his hand having to hold up his head a bit. “Yeah and that's what makes Captain Marvel more awesome.” Reed and Ben continued to have their argument, one that had been made in the past and will continue with the two until their too old to even remember comic book characters. Reed always enjoyed it though, it was that kind of thing you could never justify with anyone rationally.

As the two continued on, Ben was trying to raise a point about Superman's endurance or something like that when Reed suddenly found himself unable to even hear him. It was due to someone nearby, a cosplayer who had her mask off and was talking to someone else. The girl though was... Reed just couldn't look away, it wasn't even the Hawkgirl costume she was wearing. It was just her. She just had Reed's attention and wasn't letting go.

“...so what I'm saying... Reed? Reed!” Suddenly a hand on Reed's shoulder sucked him back into the real world where Ben looked on confused for a moment. Finally though he looked over at the girl and back down to Reed, quickly picking up the social situation at hand with a grin. “Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were a bit preoccupied.” Ben said as Reed felt his cheeks start to turn a harsher peach tone.

“I wha no no no I mean no she's just got a nice costume!” Reed stammered out a response even he had a hard time figuring out after the fact. Having to look away to try and figure out quickly how stupid he sounded.

Ben chuckled a bit, patting Reed's shoulder again. “Sure buddy, it was just the costume...” Ben saw how Reed was getting very embarrassed but also saw an opening. “Why don't you go talk to her?”

Reed's eyes shot open wide as he glanced back hastily, “I what? No I don't even know what to say! I'm just going to look stupid.” Reed figured as much, the only other time he tried to talk to a girl like this was asking someone to prom. It ended about as well as Reed figured seeing as how she laughed thinking it was a prank set up.

“Here come on Reed if you're so concerned I'll help.” Suddenly Reed felt Ben's large hand grip his wrist as he started pulling him towards the girl. Leaving Reed panicked, excited, and feeling like he was about to vomit all at the same time. He tried to get Ben to let go having to shuffle his feet in his forced movement but all hope faded and he soon found himself face to face with something amazing, and with nothing to say.

“Hey whats up? Sorry to barge in but I'm Ben, this is Reed. Here Reed say hi.” Ben had given him the opening, Reed felt his heart rushing in his body like it was bouncing all over the place. All the knowledge he possessed, all the smarts he had and will ever have. None of it prepared him for this, the brief pause felt like an eternity as Reed had to muster up his courage. Here goes...

Character You Wish To Play: Anthony Stark – Iron Man

Moral Alignment (Hero, Villain, Walking the Line): Hero

Affiliation (what group/team/organization, if any, is your character affiliated with?): The Avengers certainly in the future, right now just Stark Technology as its CEO.

Character Origin & Backstory: In the idea of the original meaning, Tony Stark was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Though in this case it might as well been a platinum encased spoon with wi-fi and GPS capabilities. Tony Stark's dad is the CEO and the second generation of the Stark family to run Stark Industries. A weapons manufacturer who had a serious penchant for powerful equipment that was always on the cutting edge.

Tony never really knew his mother, as she passed away when he was little. His father though was a role model for him in every sense of the word. Martin Stark had a dry witty tone, loved rock music, especially the kind from the 70s and 80s, and even with his wealth was someone who was never stuffy to anyone. When Tony though was very little he developed a heart disease that made his heart slowly lose energy. Doctors told his father he had very little time left before his body could no longer even support itself. In a moment of almost mad scientist like focus. Martin Stark brought his son to the company headquarters, and after a week of non-stop work. Fitted his son with a energy reactor core that kept his heart moving sufficiently. Over the years since refining the technology to make sure Tony would be healthy and that any dangerous side effects were dealt with.

He wanted Tony to be raised right, and from day one had Tony attending public schools in New York City. Though when he was sent to the schools he was always reminded, to see the others who didn't have the money, the lifestyle he could afford. It wasn't about mocking them, it was about understanding where he is, and how that spot could help make their lives better. Even still though Tony had trouble fitting in and relating to people.

As Tony reached his second year of high school his father was leaving the house more to attend to business matters. Him and his son, who was by this point in his father's eyes outmatching him in intelligence. Created a artificial intelligence program to run day to day operations in both their lives and managing the house. The program was named Jarvis, and both the father and son immediately found an improvement in their lives with him. They especially had a laugh when Apple introduced Siri, those filthy copy cats.

Tony's life changed however when his father went out the Middle East to demonstrate a new high grade explosive. It was only going to be a three day trip but on the second night he was kidnapped by terrorist groups. After weeks of searching for him, Tony found out from Nick Fury's own mouth that they had found his father, dead.

Suddenly Tony Stark went from simply a kid to becoming the new CEO of Stark Industries because of his father's will. Originally drowning in his own depression Tony was willing to just let any of the higher ups in the company just take over operations and avoid it like the plague. However it was a chance visit to the headquarters that Tony started to see things differently. He was going in to fill out some paperwork letting Obadiah Stane, a long time friend of his father and one of the company's top executives, take over as CEO.

While Tony strolled through the company he saw things, things that knowing what his father had died for make him sick to his stomach. Bombs, guns, explosives, so many things of war, so many reasons he had to die. Tony turned and walked away before ever filing the paperwork, and the next day returned to claim his spot as CEO of the company.

On his first day Tony Stark announced the company would begin a complete overhaul of operations. Moving from weapon crafting to everyday electronics, and changing the name of the company to Stark Technology. At first people thought he was insane and delusional, and fears over someone so young taking over the company caused stock in it to plummet. However Tony had a plan, through an immediate advertising campaign that became the talk of the business world, buying up small start ups and giving them time and money to create, and careful reorganizing of positions without causing much lay off. In the first year Stark Technology rebounded, and now seemingly is looking to dominate the smart phone, television, and even video game markets in the coming years.

However Tony himself wasn't satisfied enough.

He still wanted answers, something that could soothe the burning in his soul over what happened to his father. Not to mention it was the fact that all those weapons still existed. It all fueled him to doing something about it. On his own time at home, Tony took some of the old firepower that the company was leaving, and began working. He originally worked on other prototypes and concepts before he found himself with a suit of armor. It used all the best and highest quality material and equipment money could buy. Best of all it worked on the same reactor core that his father made him all those years ago. In a year's time, a working prototype was finished, Tony Stark dubbed it 'Iron Man'. Now with only some private practice sessions to his credit, Tony Stark plans on a lot of quality time with his newest creation, if he has any hopes of ridding himself and the family name of the dirty warmongering.

Season One Summary: After inheriting and changing the company’s image for the better. Tony Stark began work on and finished the Iron Man prototype suit, initially being met with skepticism until Tony Stark used it to save many people at an event held by Valkyrie’s parents. However the victory was short lived, as because Loki was also at the event. Tarene went to Stark the next morning for answers. Not accepting Stark’s genuine clueless knowledge on Loki, and the fact Stark refused to use any of his company’s equipment to find Loki. Tony Stark was attacked and even with the powerful Iron Man suit was defeated severely by Tarene and Mjolnir. However before Tony was possibly killed Loki arrived to talk Tarene down and stopped her.

Stark, unsure about the future of the Iron Man concept. Was rushed to SHIELD HQ where he got medical attention from his close friend Valkyrie. It was also there he met Captain America Sam Wilson for the first time. Tony Stark felt offended by Sam’s seeming belittling nature and the two had choice words for one another. After that it was a lot of small business for Stark, running a multi-billion dollar corporation, giving Thor Mjolnir so crazy women wouldn’t beat him up with it again, starting up the Fantastic Four as a backer and sponsor, the usual stuff really. All while beginning in his mind the new Iron Man designs.

Powers and Abilities (What can your character do? What can't they do?): Tony Stark himself is a simple person. Healthy and although has the reactor core in his chest, normal as normal gets. All of his power comes from the suit of armor.

Iron Man's abilities are constantly changing because of his constant technological upgrades on the armors. In general terms, he has super strength due to the build of his armor. The exact amount of strength is unknown, but it seems that he can lift and press over 100 tons.
The armor is very durable, capable of withstanding tremendous amounts of punishment. Tony Stark's armor has a muscularly aligned matrix of crystallized iron enhanced by magnetic fields over layers of other metals like titanium, which grants him endurance capable of withstanding high caliber bullets with ease. He can withstand rockets, torpedoes and such, although he does take damage. The armor also enables Iron Man to fly at high speeds, exceeding the speed of a jet airplane, due to the rocket propelled boots that are placed on the bottom of the armor's boots.

Iron Man's suit has many power sources, such as solar converters, electrical batteries and an on-board generator that uses beta particle absorption as a fuel source. The suit is also able to convert nearby energy sources, such as heat or kinetic energy into electricity, or even drain electrical energy directly into the batteries for recharge. Although the suit has some open holes to allow the wearer to breathe normal air, it can be sealed off, allowing the pilot of the suit to go underwater or into space by granting its own life support and limited air supply systems.

Stark also has equipped the suit with numerous weapons over the years, making the suit more powerful each time. The most often used weapons are the repulsor rays (magnetically channeled beams of super-heated plasma) that are fired from Iron Man's palms or gauntlets. Other weapons that are built into the armor include the uni-beam projector in its chest (controlling the full range of the electromagnetic spectrum from blinding searchlights to cutting lasers), pulse bolts that pick up kinetic energy along the way, so that they hit harder the further they have to travel, an electromagnetic pulse generator and energy shield, the generation of ultra-freons, the creating and manipulating of magnetic fields, sonic blasts, and a holographic generator to create decoys. Everything is voice operated as well as automated through specific commands and using JARVIS. Most importantly though the suit comes with a five terrabyte MP3 player built in. After all, when Tony Stark kicks ass, he needs his music.

Sample Story Arcs: Beginning the Avengers along with whichever Captain America is and SHIELD.

Finding out there was more to his father's death than just random kidnapping and murder.

With Sep's permission of course. When Hulk goes on a rampage Tony Stark uses his newest creation, the Hulkbuster suit. After all if he can't take down his science bro, who can?

Las Vegas, NV
Electronics Consumers Conference

“YEAH! KILLED IT!” Tony Stark put his hand up high as several other hands slapped it hard. The showcase presentation was a complete success. Already tech blogs were raving about the new handheld gaming system, plasma TVs, and smart phones with unbreakable plexiglass screens. Then again Tony Stark knew it was all going to be a success. Success was something he needed for the company badly. The company needed big smash hits to be able to rebound after the opening troubles. Sure Tony Stark knew the road as CEO of his family's enterprise was not going to be easy, but turns out investors REALLY don't like the idea of an 18 year old fresh out of High School not only running a major corporation, but completely changing said corporation's main supplies and image. Said young out of high school kid had a lot on his plate, and knew failure would mean the end of the now third generation ran business.

As Tony Stark got high five after high five, finally adjusting and loosening up the skinny black tie he had on with his grey shirt and black slacks. “Ah, man I tell ya, The Geto Boys said it best. Damn it feels good to be a gangsta!” Tony Stark beamed. “I'm fairly sure CEOs aren't people who should be quoting The Geto Boys.” Tony Stark turned to see the larger James Rhodes. A close friend of his father turned executive of daily operations after Tony put himself in charge. “Whatever, bunch of haters I tell ya.” Tony stated with a dismissive wave of his hand.

“Well either way Tony, we still have a few business matters left with the show before I would call it a complete success.” James Rhodes, for as much as Tony both liked and hated it, was always extremely attentive when it came to the details. “The show was great, but I think Stark Technology is really going to need its big thing to really put it over the edge.” Tony paused after getting a can of soda from a catering table to glance back at James. “Wait hold up seriously? I know I wasn't the only one who heard the crowd screaming like pre-teens at a...” Tony Stark realized he didn't realize who was the big it singer right now. “Whoever the Hell concert these days. Beiber still right? No wait uh whatever point is they loved it. What the Hell kind of big thing are they talking about?”

Quickly Tony Stark pulled up his smart phone, instantly seeing that while a lot of sites were praising the presentation and items the company had planned. There was a consciousness against a really big item to put the company on the map. Tony's joy had dampened a bit as he flipped through the twitter posts, facebook posts, everything on the web about the show that all seemingly said the same thing. “What the Hell? What did I need to juggle chainsaws while humming AC/DC to make these people happy?” Tony sighed irritated before a thought dawned on him. “Wait! I might have it. Rhodes schedule a press conference at HQ. Next week, early afternoon at the best. They want a showstopper? I'll give them a showstopper...”

"It's not about the size of the artillery. It's about choosing the perfect bullets."

Player Name: Sep
Character You Wish To Play: Agent Phil Coulson
Alias:
Moral Alignment: Hero
Affiliation: S.H.I.E.L.D -
Character Origin & Backstory:

Phil, born Phillip was born into a military family. He grew up on tales to astonish about Captain America and the rumours of a man the size of an insect (Gowi willing), becoming an avid fan of super powered individuals. Even at a young age he began to research them, his dad telling him stories about Captain America and what he could do. Teams like the Howling Commandos and the Invaders fighting the good fight and performing feats that no-one else could, when his father died at age nine he decided then that he'd go out and make a difference the best he could. At age 18 he enlisted in the US-Marine Corps where he was then sent to Afghanistan where he made a friend for life in Marcus Johnson.

Throughout his time in the marines he was sent on increasingly strange missions. When asking his superiors about it they just told him they were orders from further up the chain of command, and to accept it. The tour finished abruptly and he moved back to the states, when hearing that his friend Johnsons mother had been killed he travelled to Atlanta to attend the funeral. When there they came under attack by an individual calling himself Orion, when S.H.I.E.L.D intervened and saved Johnson and Coulsons lives they were taken into custody where it was revealed that Marcus Johnson was actually Nick Fury, an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D and the entire alias had been a cover for an operation within the U.S armed forces. Coulson proving himself worthy was recruited into the organization.

Years past with S.H.I.E.L.D operating in the shadows of society, and it wasn't until after Nick Fury became director and there was a boom in the number of powered people that S.H.I.E.L.D became public knowledge. With his long time friend now the director Coulson went on to expand his already existent database of powered individuals, codenamed the 'Index', in a bid to try and keep a lid on powered individuals. In a process that involved finding individuals with abilities, assessing them and then taking any necessary measures. Most of the time it just meant keeping an eye on their activities, in rare cases it meant imprisonment. However when the numbers continued to increase Coulson put forth the idea for the Avengers Initiative, and with the re-discovery of the Erskine formula bringing Captain America into the 21st Century.

Since then Fury has given him S.H.I.E.L.D 616, a modified Globemaster as a mobile base for S.H.I.E.L.D operations in Furys continued attempts to find people, or objects, of strange or extraterrestrial origin. When he is not on the 'Bus' or on an Op he's in a base codenamed the Library, a safehouse that a select few people know about and the location where the Index is stored.
Season 1 Summary: N/A
Powers and Abilities:
No Powers, however through training at S.H.I.E.L.D he is a skilled martial artist and is a high ranking agent in terms of espionage, explosives and intelligence gathering.

He has also spent years studying and tracking down super powered individuals, forming his own database of them nicknamed the 'Index' which is now an official S.H.I.E.L.D tool that can only be accessed by himself, Director Fury, Maria Hill and Alexander Pierce (It doesn't have peoples secret identities only public ones).
Sample Story Arcs:
