Personality: Balus is often seen as a brute by those outside of the order, for his powerful appearance and silent demeanor. He prefers to act instead of speak, and when he does speak, it is always meaningful. His Saber can cut someone down or protect those whom he loves, but words can shape the galaxy. He prefers to let the force guide his decisions in almost all that he does, letting himself become an instrument of its will. He considers his saber skills and force master as the pinnacle of his ideal self, so you will usually find him in the practice room or at the center of a duel or fight.

Biography: Abandoned at age 6 on Ord Mantell near a Freighter port, a young Jedi by the name of Kavar, later Master Kavar, was pursuing a lead for illegal spice smugglers on the planet when he happened upon the child. The Zabrak seemed to be in trouble with three Rodians who thought they could have some sport with this orphan. Amazingly, Balus seemed to be able to nearly read their movements, though after a few moments he was pistol whipped and knocked to the ground. Kavar stepped in and saved him, taking him back to Curoscant to be trained in the Jedi arts. He grew up quickly, becoming a fierce and ardent fighter, with a calm, collected soul. His Jedi Master was Serkan Beldig, a curious Selkath Master with a jovial sense of humor, teaching the young Balus the art of taking a joke or two. He was killed by bounty hunters on a mission gone wrong on the planet Nar Shaadda, with Balus making it out alive. By age 19 he passed the trials and became a Knight, volunteering to go on mission after mission. He has been within the Temple the past few months, recuperating from a particularly hard fight battling Mandalorians in the outer rim. Unbeknownst to him, they were scouts for the war that has since commenced.
