DC has recently fucked up badly on a lot of levels. Crappy animated films, bad story telling choices, treating their creative teams like crap, continuing to employ a serial harasser and that's not even mentioning the mess that is the DCU.

It's a damn shame, is what it is.

Thank goodness for RP where we can do whatever the hell we want with the characters we love :P

@RoosanSadly, Miller said no. He was in talks with WB to direct or oversee in some form Man of Steel 2, but rejected. Apparently, filming Fury Road got him real tired. But, I'll be content with having any other decent director that's not Zack Snyder (not in any way implying Zack's decent as a director). I thought his vision was gonna get to a point where the characters resemble their comic book counterparts, but after reading that interview of his from 2008, I realized dude just wants to remake Watchmen in a grander scale. And that's not something you want the DCEU to be.

Yeah, I know it was a 'joke' but I can still dream. And the outstandingly positive reaction from literally everyone that saw it might make them take it seriously.

People say BvS sucked, but I just can't agree. I got comic book Batman, a dead Robin, I got Wonder Woman, Parademons, Apokolips apocalypse on Earth, and Flash doing time fuckery.

I've never seen a movie feel more like a DC comic--the last chapter of the movie sucked, but I'm really not gonna bitch that much. Plus I get a Joker played by Ledger's best friend (and an Oscar winning amazing actor besides), a Harley played by an actress who just keeps impressing me, oh and the Oscar winning director who did one of my favorite movies is directing the Bat movie he's starring in and is talking about throwing a bunch of rogues in because it's Batman later in his career, and why the fuck not?

It all makes me smile.

Villains are the main reason I'm even in this fandom. I tend to like the Batfamily best out of DC's heroes, but that's still with backseating them to all the bad guys. XD I, personally, find them a lot more interesting.

On Marvel's side, I better like more of the heroes (particularly X-Men, and especially Nightcrawler, omg. <3).

But that seems to more or less be the consensus for both companies anyway. DC makes great villains, and Marvel makes better heroes.

Almost every Marvel game I do is an X-Men game. Go figure. (Childhood, anyone?)

And I'm not cutting off the villains for good. Just for now. Until the game starts to balance itself out, which I figure it will about around the first month mark.

But my answer to too many villains is, "The more villains, the more powerful the vigilante heroes." Which isn't a hard approach given this setting and it's vigilantes.

...I must keep missing those. D: I'll always have a soft spot for the X-Men, since the 90's cartoon was one of the two things that got me into superheroes in the first place. XD ...The other being Power Rangers but I digress. Mind you, I am weird and always want to do my own spin on the Clone Saga whenever I think of doing Marvel stuff (kind of spurred on by the fact that pretty much every version of it other than the original was actually pretty good; especially the Ultimate version) but no-one ever seems to want to do Spidey as an established hero so it never works out. XD

...Anyways um... Sorry I haven't been posting. Been feeling kind of sick lately, and to be honest it's not something I mention much but I'm kind of sick a lot (not going into any more detail than that) which is kind of a damper on enthusiasm and stuff since I start to worry too much that I've not posted for a while and I'll get yelled at or something because of it but anyways. But I still really like how this is set up and Dblade said he'd help me with posts so hopefully sometime soon-ish maybe I'll get something done. Sorry about that though. ^^;

I DID promise I'd help with her posting, but in an irritating coincidence I'm ALSO sick (which also happens a lot) and also still trying to recover from surgery which is putting a damper on my attempts to lift a damper off of Rin XD. But yes hopefully our bit can move forward soon, going to my surgeon today to check on progress so there's that.

I was actually considering playing a _good guy_ Jason Todd, Police Officer of the GCPD. But, like I said, he's already written out as Robin, I'll go for something else.

And @Rin the 90's X-Men cartoon is what made those mutants so popular with fans back then. Cool theme music, best voice ever for Wolverine, the Phoenix/Dark Phoenix Sagas, etc... it was all amazing. And for the record I LOVED the Clone Saga back then too with Spiderman and the introduction of Ben Rielly and Kane. When it ended the way it did and Marvel turned their back on the new fans they'd gained in favor of bringing back a status quo along with Norman Osborn let alone killing the 'perfect clone' in a way it was said he'd never die... I just gave up on Marvel for the better part of two decades. I've got the Madrox mini series, the retold Clone Saga mini they did for how it was *supposed* to end [with Ben still alive and on the road again as Scarlet Spider], and the Hickman run of Fantastic 4 that lead in Future Foundation which I also got the most of.

I thought about GM'ing another game, originally the idea was a Batman Inc. type game but I opted for this. The other idea was something with the X-Men...
