Mira and Trill followed after the lady, once the older teacher was again on his feet. The minstrel was taking it all in with an air that, while mostly attentive, seemed a bit distracted and flitted quickly from one thing to the next. The human beside him seemed uncertain but steadier, filing each bit of information away for later use. Her face tightened at the idea that they were somehow better than the other students. Even if it was true, there was no reason to make a big deal out of it. Privately she wondered how they’d manage to learn whatever techniques they needed to keep from cancelling out opposing elements without any instruction. Surely there were people that understood the concept and could help them? But she didn’t comment until the issue of where to put Trill arose. “I would very much prefer he be allowed to stay nearby, though if Scarlett and I share a room it might be...awkward for all concerned.” She blushed faintly, and the minstrel looked amused. “I don’t mind being put wherever,” he said. “It’s not as if I plan on spending a great deal of time in my room.
“You should be nearby, Trill. Please?”
“She said study,” he pointed out. “I can still see you, you’ll just have to leave your little private club, is all. Or I’ll sneak in the window, perhaps, he thought to himself, already trying to asses the route they’d taken to get to the towers, and wondering if there were others.
“He’s right, put him somewhere else,” Mira agreed quickly. “Goodness knows I don’t think you’ll ever get him in class.” Her tone fell somewhere between scolding and amused, and she got an unrepentant grin in reply. “It’s part of the whole dashing vagabond charm,” the elf replied, wiggling the fingers of one hand.

Then Idris was off, apparently summoned by an eagle that landed on her shoulder. Mira glanced over from watching the woman leave when the snake-man started shouting. She wasn't sure where he'd come from, but sharing a room in a dormitory was pretty standard back in the City of Light. That's why she'd found a small apartment for herself. Yes, it would be nice if they had options, but there were more important things to worry about.

With that thought, she turned to look at her own roommate. The demon was small compared to what she’d heard about demons, and even what she’d seen on the way to the school’s entrance portal. And she appeared to be the youngest one there, though with demons being one of the longer-lived races she supposed that appearances might be deceptive. Still, they did tend to appear adult, and Scarlett still looked like a teenager. The girl had flawlessly pale skin, the kind most of the City of Light beauties would kill to have, and she felt a stab of jealously, followed closely by insecurity. She was very conscious of the handful of freckles that dotted the curve of her cheekbones, and the scar that sliced down her face. Resolutely she pushed those feelings aside, and extended her hand with a smile. “It’s nice to meet you, Scarlett. I’m Miraem Kastern.”

Lanassa followed the elf grumpily. The whole argument with Shui had left an incredibly bad taste in her mouth. But there was no swaying her. Especially when it was this place that had offered her to help her with her problems, relinquishing them entirely was just not something she could do. Were those just buttered words to lure her here, like a honey trap? If so, they’d be looking for a new water sage relatively soon. If they wanted her to take up such a huge task as sealing the dark lord, something that sounded scarier the more she thought about it, then there’d be something in return.

The landscape they entered didn’t do too much to brighten her mood either. This was mainly because of that castle they could see from afar. Lanassa never was much of a fan of the color black, and this castle had a lot of it. The gold made it a little bit better, but for some reason the gothic look gave her the impression she was still in tenebra despite the sunny fields. It wasn’t a secret that she didn’t like Tenebra, the demons had some sort of… evil stink to them. She, much like most others of her race, couldn’t stand it. The demon chosen to be a sage felt somewhat different, though. She seemed a lot more… kind.

In her absent-mindedness, it came almost as a surprise to her that they had already entered the university. Something she basically only realized once Idris and some other elf, apparently named Kailu, started fighting in front of her. Maybe if she was in a better mood this fight would’ve been a spectacle to behold. Right now, however, this bickering just got on her nerves even more. She nearly shouted in praise to the water spirit when the fighting finally ended, but she managed to barely contain herself. She silently followed the warlock to the end of the castle, where her new home would be located.

Lanassa was anything but pleased with the way the rooms were divided, as if she didn’t have enough reasons to be displeased yet. Today just seemed to pile up all kinds of unpleasantries for her. She wouldn’t really have minded being roomed with the rather cute half-elf, the human and her accessory, the tree hugging elf or the somewhat, somehow adorable demon… but no, she got the tantrum-throwing snake with his smelly bear pet. She wasn’t sure exactly how long she would be able to stand the hissing before she strangled the guy. Lanassa normally wasn’t so… irritable, but today had kind of taken its toll on her. On any other day she might’ve tried to socialize with some of the others. But really, she just wanted to be left alone for now. ‘Not too long after the serpent had rushed off in anger, she silently made her own exit.

As she headed inside, she was greeted with the image of Morpheus holding his ‘pet’ and muttering. She sure hoped he wasn’t talking about her when he said “Damn woman”. She figured it’d be about Idris. But honestly, she wasn’t in the mood to care about his troubles. She glanced at the duo with a somewhat condescending glare, then turned away. ”I’m going to take a bath.” She said, her tone aa irritated as she truly was. ”Please keep that thing off the couch. I am not cleaning all the fur it’s going to leave behind.” Not even waiting for an answer, she opened the door to the bathroom and locked it from the inside. She turned on the hot water and let the bathtub fill as she undressed herself. Maybe a nice, long, warm bath was what she needed to brighten up. She realized she had been rather mean to the wereserpent, but she really did not care at the moment. It wasn’t as if he had been particularly good-mannered towards her either in his little anger tantrum. For now, she just drowned herself in the warm bathwater. Even more than Nymphe, the water was her home. And everyone knew there was no better place to lift your spirits than in your welcoming home. She relaxed, and slowly let all her thoughts flow out of her into the water.

Scarlett hears Mira’s full name and smiles a bit before she shakes Mira’s hand. ”You have a very nice name, Mira,” Scarlett said. The Scarlett Rose blade starts to glow multiple different colors signifying she’s happy and somewhat confused at the same time. Zachery was still facepalming at the fact of Scarlett’s kindness. Scarlett stops shaking Mira’s hand and looks at Trill for a second and looks at her shadow imp pet Zachery who is facepalming and noticed Lanassa passed her silently like she wasn’t in a good mood or something. ”I guess not a lot of people enjoy the sleeping arrangements but I never really roomed with anyone since there’s an unwritten rule in Tenebra,” Scarlett thought to herself. Scarlett sighs at the fact she has never really roomed with anyone before mostly because of that rule in Tenebra only the strong survive and you better defend yourself at all times, which what she got when she was in the Biting Vipers Mercenary Company. ”Mommy, I will get stronger,” Scarlett said glancing at the Scarlett Rose.

The Scarlett Rose glows multiple colors similar to when the first time Scarlett held it. Scarlett hears a voice within her head and it is her mother Nina, “I know you will get stronger for the sake of all on the planet.” Scarlett smiles slightly and slowly looks down at the ground and gives a deep sigh with a slight bit of regret in her sigh. Zachery is continuing to facepalm at his owner’s regretful sigh.

She takes out a carrot from her small pouch on her person, which is on her left leg and puts it in front of Zachery’s face. ”Carrot, Zachery I hope you want to eat it,” Scarlett said kindly. Zachery stops facepalming and grabs the carrot and eats it slowly. Scarlett smiles at Zachery eating a carrot from the Demonic Food Market in her hometown and she looks up back at Mira with a smile. ”What is Lucerna like? I have never really left my home continent before,” Scarlett said kindly.

Scarlett somewhat sighs at the fact that the books she read didn’t really have pictures of what the other continents look like. ”I’m only curious because the books I read about the other continents didn’t have pictures on what they look like,” Scarlett said happily because she loves reading. The Scarlett Rose is glowing yellow with a mix of blue in there and the aura was definitely brighter than normal since it was a subject Scarlett loves talking about mostly in terms of reading. She wonders about the dorm room since it has two doors one for her to open and the other for Mira to open. She walks up to the door with the dark elemental symbol on it and opens the door to the room and her face somewhat brightens up to see a common room with a large sized area to sit and read and other things. ”Reading places I could read for hours in the places I see in this common room,” Scarlett said happily and walking into the room and it feels so much more roomy than the inn she been staying in for 2 straight years. Zachery walked in behind Scarlett and was still eating the carrot he was holding.

Zachery looked around the room and felt this room felt familiar to him but he couldn’t get the correct finger on it. ”I feel like I lived in this room along time ago but how long ago?” Zachery thought to himself while eating his carrot. Scarlett was still carrying both of her bags on her and she was somewhat aching, so she walked in and found a seat to sit down and placing her bags on the floor, one was her clothes bag and the other was her stuff she likes creating in terms of wooden figurines. She gets up remembering she is wearing a cloak still and with her sword attached to it, she takes off her cloak and sets the Scarlett Rose on the table right by her and her cloak is on the chair she is sitting in. ”I feel at home in this school,” Scarlett said mostly talking about the decor of the university itself.

She digs through her clothes bag and gets out her family photo of the Atkinson Family, which shows her mother, father, and uncle and sits it right next to her sword and just loses herself in the picture and sighs regretfully again but an even heavier regretful sigh. She puts both of her hands together and gently prays. ”I will make you all proud of me, I will make sure I won’t be the last Atkinson Family member left alive,” Scarlett said silently and proudly of her last name and starts to cry because of it.

Morpheus was completely oblivious to his roommate's entrance far too distracted with his own thoughts. Not paying her glare any attention, not even acknowledging her simply stroking Lazarus’s fur. Only turning his head the moment she started speaking in a rather rude tone and making a comment toward his brother and calling him 'that thing' but before he could even properly get angered at such a statement, the woman had already made a beeline straight for the bathroom, closing the door before he could even respond. He let out an involuntary hissing sound, grinding his teeth. Refraining from his immediate desire to break through that door and make it clear who she was speaking to. Quickly headed for his bedroom instead, getting his brother to follow closely behind, hearing him start making sounds which he interpreted. “I'm already hating everything about thisss.” Morpheus muttered quietly to himself opening the door leading his brother inside proceeding to close the door, examining everything around. Immediately disappointed seeing how flimsy the locks were, then locking the door. Criticizing several things about how the room was, mostly just as an excuse to vent his frustrations while tending to his brothers needs. Spending about thirty minutes making his brother less anxious about his new environment, until his brother finally fell asleep in the corner.

Morpheus laid on his bed and let out a long sigh, looking up at the ceiling briefly hearing his brother starting to snore. Before clenching the sides of the bed with his hands, breathing in and out deeply. “My impulses have only gotten stronger over time. I need to think of a better way to release my pent up desires without causing others trouble...which in turn only gets me in trouble...Not that, that even concerns me. But...if I just give into my desires I'll end up losing my...like my brother had...” Morpheus thought drifting off as suddenly another thing he repressed had emerged causing him to daydream once again about his past.

The moon was full and shining down, Morpheus sprinted toward the completely abandoned home that no one dared treading, assuming it was cursed since the old couple that lived there both committed suicide together. It was even still fully furnished, because they feared everything inside was cursed as well. His spine shivered and his heart pounding inside his chest. His brother's very deliberate words repeated inside his head, that he would get his revenge tonight, words he had never spoken before in his life. He hadn't been able to find him all day, and the entire village was in a stir because several people were missing. But despite their searching, he was fully aware that place is somewhere they'd never venture and it had to be where Lazarus was.

Meanwhile inside the building, four individuals were shaking in fear tied up with thick rope, gagged with white cloths shoved into their mouth, laying down on the ground. While Lazarus was standing there with a tense glare holding a large metal sickle with the appearance that is was made out of stone, looking at large mirror seeing the large bear standing there, his tattooed body and eyes glowing. Grabbing one of the civilians, a 'big boned' man off the ground and bringing him close to the mirror. “So, what did you call me every single day again? Could you refresh my memory?” Lazarus snarled as he removed the gag on the man to allow him to speak, waiting for his answer.

“You're a f-fucking m-monster!” The man chokes out, with clenched teeth and an angry look. Lazarus smirked. “Correct, here's your reward...validation to your claim.” Lazarus retorted in a bitter tone shoving him hard and straight into the mirror, have it crack and having several large glass shards falling to ground. As the man fell to ground groaning, Lazarus dropped his weapon, and picked the man up again, lifting him up off the ground. Smashing his backside through the mirror hard enough to completely destroy the mirror, as it shattered to pieces. As the man started to whimper sounding pathetic, like an animal in a trap. As Lazarus picked up the largest shard of glass grasping it carefully inside his paw. “You also happen to ridicule me for my face didn't you? Well now its time to fuck your face up.” Lazarus replied as the man watching as the glass shard was held up against his face.

“P-please mercy.” He begged as the Lazarus let out a small laugh from his plead getting his face close enough as Lazarus whispered. “Monsters aren't merciful.” before digging the glass straight into his face letting out an awful scream, as he quickly and repeatedly slashed through his face. Like he was playing connect the dots, twisting and shifting the glass ripping his face until it wasn't recognizable. His painful screams still proved he was alive throughout the mutilation of his face. When he was finished he shoved the glass shard deeply between his eyes, killing him instantly.

Turning his head to the three remaining, able to see the fear in their eyes. Walking over not even bothering to pick up his weapon going over and lifting his foot up above a particularly thin man legs, looking down at him waiting a few seconds before smashing his leg down with full force, crushing one of their knees, turning the bone practically to dust, breaking the wood floor with the impact, also followed by a sharp scream muffled by the gag. Picking him up by his other leg and starting moving him around like he was a rag doll, smacking him against wall. “How many kind deeds did I do for you? How much did me and my brother do for you, out of the kindness of our hearts...and you repaid us in our weakest moments by you and your little thugs attacking us...Well here's a life lesson for you.” Lazarus continued to speak before stopping to hold him close, face to face. “Don't fucking look down, on someone so far above you.” Lazarus spat out, literally and deliberately getting saliva all over his face before instantly holding him with both paws and quickly bending him until his spine made an audible snapping sound, before tossing him aside.

Going forward, grabbing his weapon looking at the window, which was uncovered, swearing someone was watching him. But nothing was there, so he turned his attention back at the remaining two, looking as the woman trembled as he lifted her off the ground, standing her upright. “Was watching all of that horrific? Terrible? Make your stomach turn? You poor pitiful hypocrite. Then why did you watch silently while I and my brother suffered, while your worthless husband attacked us without even seeming the least bit concerned? It's because we weren't important, so we're allowed to be tossed aside like trash...I'm right aren't I?” Lazarus spoke out, only getting louder and sounding angrier with each word spoken. The women only closed her eyes, tears streaming down her face.

Interrupted by Morpheus bursting through the front door. “Brother, please stop! Your not acting like yourself. You'd never hurt another living creature.” Morpheus cried out, tears down his face but Lazarus didn't stop his actions, only glancing at his brother. “You'll never have to watch violence again.” Lazarus replied pinning her up against the wall before swiftly sweeping his sickle through. As Morpheus nearly gasped, with a face of shock as their head was separated from the body, both dropping to the ground, looking at the display of the three dead. He was shaking fearfully, as Lazarus looked at him as the blood dripped from his sickle. Morpheus was looking at the strangers face, and hearing that stranger speak.

“Are you afraid of me?” Lazarus questions, Morpheus wiped the tears from his eyes while shaking his head.

“I'm afraid of losing you...”

Morpheus snapped out his thoughts sitting up from his bed, his appearance looked unaffected. Rubbing his head, which was badly aching . Looking at his brother who was still asleep. “I was watching, desperately hoping you wouldn't, but I couldn't stop you...you tried to just keep your pain to yourself, and all that did was let your anger manifest into hate. You we're the one to keep me peaceful, why did you have to change?” He pondered in his head, standing up. “Damn memoriesss won't leave me alone.” He curses aloud, irritated that his mind just couldn't stop. Leaving his room quietly closing his door, making little noise as possible to let his brother sleep. “I refussse to let my temper engulf me.” He stated aloud to himself heading toward the bathroom door, with a slight look of determination on his face. Slightly surprised to hear that she was still inside. He cleared his throat as he knocked a couple times on the bathroom door. “Misssss.” Morpheus said hoping she could hear him from the other side the door.

Especially on a day such as today, a bath was so much more than a simple cleaning ritual for the nymph. The touch of the water on her skin gave her that very distinct feeling of home. She was gone for barely a day. But already she longed to go back. How could she think differently after today? Luckily, the feeling subsided somewhat by the water’s warmth, soothing her spirit’s restlessness as if Genidoris herself was singing her a lullaby. The water was not confined by the bath. Instead, it had shaped itself around Lanassa resembling a sphere. Inside Lanassa drifted, curled up and eyes closed. Not awake nor asleep, she had entered in some kind of restful trance. She enjoyed the peace she had now for as long as she’d be able to. She knew she couldn’t stay in here forever, if only.

Only like this was Lanassa able to forget all that troubled her, even if it was only for a little while. In the meantime, the manipulation of the water made for good practice. The way she was controlling this wasn’t particularly hard, but the length made it a good test of endurance. It was something she’d done more often back at home, sweet home. And now. following years of practice, Lanassa could hold this for long times while basically meditating. It was a method Opis used herself when she was still in training, so she was told. If this training held water (pun intended) for those thousands of years, then surely it’s worth something.

The longer this went on, the more her mind drifted. She thought of the temple. Did they miss her already? Were they cleaning the temple properly, or were they still slacking off? Maybe Opis finally whipped them into gear now that they didn’t have their youngest little acolyte to push every chore onto. And as she thought of Opis, she remembered one very particular occasion…

”Lanassa!” The older priestess growled with a frown and crossed arms at the eight-year old girl that obviously wasn’t paying any attention. ”Listen to me for once, for Genidoris’ sake! This is the third time this month you were out after curfew! The third! ” She held three fingers in front of Lanassa’s face as she said that. ”We have rules, child. They’re there not because we like them, but because we want to keep us all safe. You most of all.” This line seemed to catch Lanassa’s attention, as she stared straight into the violet eyes of her superior. ”Rules, Polynome?” Much like other Nymphs, Polynome was a ravishing sight to behold. She had a humble two-hundred years to her name. Her skin was so pale that it almost seemed to glow. In contrast, she had dark raven hair that rested just above her butt. Her incredibly slender stature and lack of curvaceous features made her appear a lot younger than the usual Nymph that had stopped aging, a feature that was incredibly highly valued amongst certain members of both sexes. Lanassa could appreciate that beauty, but she hoped she’d have a little more… development herself. It seemed the most popular Nymphs, such as queen Amphritrite and high priestess Opis, had curves more often than not. ”Why should I follow rules that nobody else follows? I had to clean our sleeping quarters because you didn’t do so! Isn’t it a rule to do your chores, Poly? I want some time to play too!” Lanassa answered with a frown of her own.

Polynome rose a brow ”That is no way to speak to your superior, young lady! I had important reasons to leave that to you… yes… I was very busy!” Lanassa shook her head. ”Busy with that guy again.” She blurted out. Polynome’s eyes spurted open slightly, but she had not anticipated the exact knowledge of the child. ”Every Monday, 3PM, under the great willow in the temple garden… he had his hands in your clothes when you two kissed today... and then you two left.” Polynome stumbled backward, letting out a high pitched ”Eep!” as she did. Nymph children weren’t particularly prudishly raised, but there were things not meant for the eyes of a child. ”Lanassa, I swear to the spirits themselves. Go to your room, think about what tone you are using and never speak of such things again.” Unfortunately for Polynome, her young stature was ill-suited for intimidation. Lanassa bared her teeth in anger, then stuck out her tongue. ”You can’t make me!” Lanassa then ran off, closely followed by Polynome.

The temple grounds, normally so tranquil, were disturbed by the sounds of angered shouting and the muttering of bystanders. Yet, all sound was immediately silenced by the entrance of Opis herself. Her presence was like an aura that blanketed the entire area that demanded immediate attention and respect. The natural demeanor of this age-old nymph, composed of soft grey eyes and a gentle smile and accompanied by downright extreme composure, was not one that demanded tranquility. Rather, the simple feeling that she was around you seemed to demand acknowledgement of the authority that you were expected to give to the most important attendant of the water spirit. It was an authority demanded not by fear, but simply by astounding charisma. Her simple, demanding presence alone was enough to silence everybody before she had even uttered a word. She took a few seconds to take in the situation before she spoke in a calm voice. ”Please, everyone, return to your activities. I shall see this matter settled.” She then looked at Polynome, who instantly shuddered. She knew that, as one of the two shouting, she had to stay to settle this matter. And that made her anything but happy. If Opis had to get involved, you knew you were going to be in trouble.

”O-opis, ma’am. Polynome stuttered ”Lanassa, s-she’s…”the nymph pointed upward, into the great willow where the figure of the young Lanassa could be seen, sitting comfortably on one of the branches. She looked at Opis, and immediately pointed at Polynome and shouted. ”Her fault!” Of all trees, this one was particularly high, and it should speak for itself that climbing it wasn’t allowed. ”I assume there is an explanation for this…nonsense.” Polynome shrunk slightly as she tried to explain the situation through stuttering and squirming. One simply did not lie to Opis, and Lanassa made sure that Polynome didn’t leave out a single painful detail from up there. Ultimately, Opis simply sighed. ”Am I to conclude that I have yet another case of negligence to add to your resume, Polynome?” The younger priestess was practically groveling at this point in a mixture of shame and acceptance of said shame. And that needed no confirmation ”Yes, I will see to it personally that you are put to work daily for the next five years. No breaks for you… as for you…” Opis looked upward, straight at the young Lanassa. Within a fraction of a second, a large burst of water erupted from beneath the feet of Opis, propelling her to exactly Lanassa’s height and landed on the branch. Startled, Lanassa let out a yelp before promptly falling backward. However, the water used to propel Opis had already worked its way upward. Masterfully, the water formed itself in a sphere around Lanassa, preventing a rather dangerous plummet. Opis shook her head before jumping into the sphere herself and then guiding it downward. Once their feet were once again safely planted on the temple’s soil, Lanassa was able to feel the looming presence of the head priestess. She was drenched in the water, while Opis was somehow completely dry. ”You, child, seem to forget why I worry about you on a daily basis. I will not accept you skipping curfew again… and if I see you climbing this tree one more time I will see to it personally that you won’t be walking around unattended for the coming three-hundred years. Do I make myself perfectly clear?” Not so much by her words, but more by Opis’ unusual action, Lanassa nodded her head hastily. She quivered at the aura that the woman was surrounding herself with. Lanassa wasn’t sure how to describe it. It seemed to be seething with rage, but that same rage was seeded in boundless worry and love. Lanassa walked away from this experience with two things: The first was a lesson: You could make Opis mad once and get away with it, but you did not do it twice. The second thing was a six-month long detention.

About an hour had passed since she had entered the bathroom, and then Lanassa’s memories were rather abruptly disrupted by the sound of knocking, along with the voice she recognized as the wereserpent’s. She wasn’t entirely sure whether the serpentine lisp he had was adorable, or incredibly irritating. Either way, she’d have to live with it for now. She broke out of her meditation and quickly wrapped a towel around her surprisingly dry body. ”Coming!” Within about five seconds, the door opened to stand face-to-face with the serpent. It wouldn’t be hard to notice for Morpheus that the Nymph’s expression seemed a lot more happy than it had before. Or maybe it would be hard for Morpheus to notice her face at all. After all, despite properly covering herself this towel did a rather poor job at masking Lanassa’s voluptuous figure. Her priestess garb, that she had worn since she left home as a sign of respect, did a rather amazing job at hiding such features. Still, Lanassa wasn’t exactly prudish. As long as she wasn’t stark naked, she wasn’t exactly against showing off a little. ”Is there something you need?”

Mira’s hand was calloused from the life of one raised in a small town, and her grip was firm. She noticed the slight glow of Scarlett’s sword, but not that it changed colors. Trill returned the demon’s gaze with a smile and a wink, partially because she’s pretty, though far too young for his tastes, and partially because she seemed a bit uneasy. Healer and minstrel both figured that the words she spoke to her mother were not meant for their ears, and pretended not to hear them.

The woman considered the question of Lucerna. “What’s it like? Well...I’ve done little travelling myself. Just from my hometown to the capital, really. It’s a lot like the area around the university, I suppose -- open fields and so on, though there’s parts that are forested. And I’m sure one city is much like another.”

“That’s not true at all.” Here Trill, far better travelled, stepped in. “I find that every city has its own personality. Lucerna in general has a lot of prairie, marsh, and moor, where humans haven’t built. There’s some forests, but nothing like on Tellus, and there’s a large number of towns and cities. The City of Light is the largest of those, and I’d say it has a very intent and busy feel, though sometimes a carelessly impersonal one.”

When Scarlett went into the tower, Mira turned her attention to Kailu. “Sir?” she asked, sounding a little uncertain. “Are there class schedules, or anything? Mrs. Roran left rather suddenly, and didn’t mention anything about where we should go, nor when. ...Nor did she actually give Trillian a place to stay.”

Kailu's wing twitched as he heard his name being called by a student, just as he was about to escape and... help Idris deal with their mutual problem. He turned and saw it was the forest-mage, asking about accommodations for her boyfriend.

"As long as he does not interfere with the studies of any of the other mages, and with their permission, he can bunk with his choice until more permanent accommodations can be arranged..." He leaned-in towards Trill, then Mira, making sure to get a good look at them before going-on, "As you both saw, Idris does not approve of loitering in the hallways."

He then resumed his more reposed posture, and sighed at mention of a lesson plan. "Do not be in such a hurry to rush your teachers into a frenzy. We sent many invitations, and I'm sure more than a few have had their personal reservations against coming here, we were not certain of some of our students coming," he then pointed at Trill "others have been quite unexpected... Although you do show potential..." He trailed-off, mulling some thoughts to himself before realizing the two were still there, expecting more of an answer.

"First assignment: get accustomed to, and remain aware of your surroundings. Learn your surrounding now will make you better able to tell when something is wrong. We'll get back to you on further assignments when you can. Oh, and please tell the other students that their task will be to write a report on their room-mate."
