Moros Vorsickle

Farrah Gilden? The name wasn't familiar on first glance and that was all the effort Moros was really willing to put into it. At least with shields active and a time limit this shouldn't be too long or painful. With his harp carefully put away safely Moros stepped onto the his designated ring. Not very many other knights had arrived yet. Ah well, that was fine with him. His opponent should be around here... Somewhere? Well either they would show up or they didn't. Moros sat on the ground, Lefay next to him imitating his movements, and waited. Lefay usually hated waiting but she was alright with it as long as there was a pay off. In this case being very creepy and somewhat unsettling as she both looked and acted perfectly in synch with Moros. Better than any other shapeshifter could pull off due to their link.

Cass Mormont

"Victor Strom...hmm, the name sounds nice on the tongue, strong and cultured like he's a refined opera singer or some sort. What do you think, Jorm?" Cass asked of his Spirit while they strolled to their designated ring in the giant coliseum. Both Spirit and Knight had been grateful to find themselves afforded as much space as they had, the terrain being suited to them nicely even if they would have liked some trees and a water source. Finding a suitable place to stand and await the tourney's initiation, the Bombardier Knight lowered his hand to the ground to allow his Spirit to slither along his arm and to the packed earth below them.

"I'd rather you stick to skirt chasing before moving on up to trousers you weirdo. If you get distracted and screw up yet another tourney for me I swear I will eat you whole and keep trapped in my stomach for the rest of your life!" The dragon grumbled darkly while basking in the sensation of being along the sunbaked ground, a shudder going down her form before entering a startling stage of expansion whereupon what could have been construed as a snake took on its true draconian features and rose to a height of 8 meters tall, six wings spread wide behind her as the spirit seemed to leer at the gasps of shock coming from the assembled audience."It doesn't matter how strong their name sounds, none are better then mine! No one is stopping Jormungand! Grahaha!"

Cass could only be grateful his belligerent companion could not literally shake the earth with her laughter and rested his hands atop his chosen armaments, offering a conciliatory smile to the gathered crowd for Jorm's brash behavior while awaiting Victor's arrival.

Victor Strom

“Lunch with miss Kalstov seems to have gone well!” Cloud chirped to Victor, the two currently making their way to the coliseum. “And I am still certain that you two would make a lovely couple, Victor.” The Song Knight in question simply shook his head and sighed.

“We’re sparring partners, Cloud. That’s it. I don’t know how many more times I’m going to have to annunciate that fact. Besides, right now is far from the proper time to be thinking of such matters. You and I have a tournament to win. Cass Mormont, huh?” Victor had heard of him before. Of course, he made it his business to learn everything he could about his opponents beforehand, but this one he knew of even before the tournament. To put it simply, they were a powerhouse. Together with his spirit they were something and someone to watch out for, this would not be a cakewalk at all.

After a short time, the pair finally reached the arena. “Mister Mormont and his dreadfully large spirit are just over there!” With that, Cloud sped ahead to greet the Song Knight and his spirit in a jovial fashion. “Ohhhh hello you two! Cass you look just ever so adorable! And Jormungandr! So mighty! So impressive!” Victor approached soon after, giving Cass and his spirit a curt nod before thrusting a hand forward in greeting.

“Victor Strom, a pleasure.”

Cass Mormont

Cass nodded heartily in greeting to the opposing Song Knight she would be competing against before shaking his hand with overwhelming enthusiasm. "Cass Mormont, charmed to meet you as well. Love what you've done with your hair by the way, very suave and sophisticated. Sadly mine is too much to manage so neatly." The Bombardier Knight lamented while releasing Victor's hand.

Meanwhile Jormungand seemed to observe the opposing Spirit, cocking her head to the side before letting out a derisive snort. "This is what I get to fight? Come on! Can't they have matched me up with something worthy of my greatness?!" The dragon groaned in irritation, rolling her eyes while crossing her arms across her earthen chest. Jorm looked down at the air elemental as though looking for some hidden feature that would make her more threatening. "Make sure that you don't get knocked out instantly, I want this to be a good bout before I bring you down. If this ends before I can remind every piss ant out in the stands of their own mortality then I am calling this entire event a waste of my time."

On the other hand, Cass offered a deep bow to the air spirit, stepping forward to take the elemental's hand and place his lips on the back of her hand. "You have done Victor a credit by answering his summons, Lady Cloud. I wish you the best of luck against my temperamental friend, and would love to meet with you both under less violent circumstances."

Mary Stradford

"What should our opening speech be? Should we be enigmatic or energetic? Hopefully the stadium looks dull enough that we can be easily seen even from the nose bleeder sections. Do you think we have enough time to buy some gunpowder for a few pyrotechnics? The chattering of Mary Stradford was the only thing heard in a small corner of the waiting area. The small figure of Tiamat sat patiently upon a familiar looking boulder as her partner paced in circles. A silent sigh escaped from the Water Spirit's lips as she awaited the sounds of commencement from the Colosseum, her usual blank expression present upon her face even as Mary constantly bombarded her with ludicrous ideas. When the situation quickly deteriorated at the square, the sahuagin quickly ducked out of the center of attention, grabbing her partner and absconding quickly even as the teen tried to remove herself from the small Spirit's grip. The state of affairs the duo had left behind were payed no mind by the Spirit, only the safety of her partner mattered.

Of course, the shorter girl was later berated by the brunette she had "saved", Mary believing that the opportunity for widespread fame was lost at that moment. However, the announcement for the gathering at the Colosseum washed those thoughts away, replacing them with the anticipation of what the duo came to the city for in the first place: The Tournament. Mary's mood had quickly turned positive and excited after that, leading to their current situation. However, the human had been strangely insistent on bringing the boulder she had entered the city upon, naming the small piece of landmass "Rocky" in honor of "the fun times they have had together". Tiamat had just waved it off as another peculiarity, but during the waiting time she had come up with a few different reasonings to her partner's apparent madness.

They had next to no clue on what their opponent possessed within their arsenal of abilities, this "Isabelle Kaiser" originating from an entirely different academy than the duo. In addition, their ranged options were quite lacking, only their strength and skill being any kind of deciding factor, as well as Mary's unpredictability and her own inhumane speed. "Rocky" could very well be their ticket to victory, as the Spirit hardly believed any sort of "fair" shielding could stand up to the destructive power of thrown meteorites. Even if the speed of the giant projectile wouldn't compare to the terminal velocity of a hurtling meteor, it would still pack quite a punch.

"Tia! Are you even listening to me? We need to practice our battle poses!" the excitable, yet currently whiny, voice of her partner shattered the current thoughts of the Water Spirit. Tiamat's eyes refocused onto her surroundings, near instantly noticing the mock pout present on Mary's face, clearly annoyed by her partner's apparent disregard of her ideas. With the ghost of a smirk that Mary just barely caught, Tiamat hopped off of "Rocky" and brought her attention towards her partner's new scheme. Of course, before any planning could be made, appeasing the craziness of her Song Knight came first.

Randar Xenil

Randar was lost in his thoughts when some girl approached him. The first thing to come to mind was the amount of blue she had on her. Blue skirt, sweater, and hair. She was a bit taller than him, he quickly shook the thought from his head. Another person who arrived early, didn't look like she was his opponent. She looked nice enough, no idea where her Spirit was, not like he could complain though. His was a small distance from the area.

He looked at Farrah and decided to open his mouth. "Hello, my names Randar, what's yours?" He wasn't good at this small talk thing, be he was gonna make an effort this time. "So, it's nice to see someone else who takes this competition seriously by showing up early. Well, I guess some of us had a good excuse what with the Dissonance that appeared earlier. So, this place is amazing right? Even if I disagree with the shield rule for the people involved. Sorry, I'm rambling, aren't I?"

He was partly nervous for the competition, the other half for introductions. She could be his opponent along the way, so he wanted to figure out her Spirit. Not like it mattered, overwhelming strength was a pretty good tactic anyways. He extended his hand, to offer a handshake.

As he took a quick glance around, more Song Knights were arriving. Randar recognized two of them from the Dissonance fight. One was the guy covered in a shield, the other... A quick sigh escaped his breath, Mary showed up. One of them mentioned a large Spirit, causing him to notice a rather large green Dragon, well I guess about 20 feet was large. Quickly dismissing the others, he turned back to Farrah to pay attention to what she said.

~Farrah Gilden~

Farrah blinked. Seems the others were finally showing up. Wonder what took them so long? Shrugging since it wasn’t really her problem, she spotted a few individuals that could possibly be her opponent. Granted, only about two of them actually looked like a “Moros” so she deemed it best to wait it out before making hasty introductions.

Well too late to go back on that now seeing as she was already walking to Rander. Ravielin wasn’t doing much to bother them, merely grazing the skies and probably eating a bird or too. She did keep an eye on her Song Knight though, narrowing gaze kept on the boy. So maybe she was a little protective of Farrah when it came to the opposite sex. What Spirit wasn’t?

“Name’s Farrah. Guess you’re not my opponent after all,” she said, raising an eye at the mention of Dissolutions. “Oh? When did they show up? I might have missed that since I took the fast travel approach in getting here.”

She took his hand in a firm grip with a confident grin. She was polite enough to markup conversation, but there was no way she was going to reveal her strategies in the tournament, let alone her Spirit. Besides, if he wasn’t smart enough to figure it out, then that was one more strike against him being a Song Knight.

After being chewed out for what felt like an eternity Taylor was in a bad mood. So bad she didn't even bother to tell her classmates the reason she was late, they had already decided her guilt so why bother? Slumping into a chair, Taylor almost immediately fell asleep as Scarlet paid most attention

"Talking, talking, more talking. Wow I see why you wanted the drink sleeping beauty this is tedious. Oh! There we go. Taylor... Taylor! Wake up!" All but shaking the girl with make-up Taylor was dead to the world. Scarlet huffing somehow without lungs, grabbed Taylor by the collar and dragged her to the battle arena, whistling as she walked

"For the dead God's sake Tay, how would you function without me? You're lucky I didn't just leave you there to be disqualified, but then you'd never let me live it down that I swindled you" Unceremoniously dropped at the arena, Taylor finally woke up. Rubbing her eyes, Taylor stumbled to her feet.

"Scar? This is your fault for waking me up so early in the morning, I can barely keep my eyes open" glaring at Scarlet Taylor looked around "My opponent isn't even here! So why wake me up?!"

"Tay. Early in the morning requires you to be up in the morning. You're barely up at noon most days. Besides, you get disqualified if you don't show up. You want to win right?" rolls her eyes and taps her hat, reminding Taylor of her reward

A tale of Songs and Knights

Claudia arrived at the Imperial Colosseum quite sometime ago, but spent the majority of her time there browsing the food stalls, only when the command for the participant Song Knights to gather was issued, she moved to the competitors waiting area. "There's a lot of strong looking people this year. I guess we must do our best, right, Ravie?" Claudia said to Ravel, who was even now eating a grilled frankfurter. Once asked by her companion, Ravel tried to gobble down the rest of her food before replying, "Mmm-mmm! Oh, yeah! Right, let's do our best, Claudia."

Just as Ravel said so, the announcement of the final pairings for the tournament were made. Thanks to unforeseen circumstances regarding some of the participants, we will jump straing to the Quarter-Finals! All combatants present yourselves at the arena floor immediately!

Ring One: Moros Vorsickle vs Farrah Gilden!

Ring Two: Cass Mormont vs Victor Strom!

Ring Three: Mary Stradford vs Randar Xenil!

Ring Four: Claudia Blair vs Taylor Sinclair!

May you all honor the memories of those who fought and died on this day! Fight!

As the narrator announced, Claudia stepped on the ring, twirling her guns with Ravel beside her, the duo of redheads was literally blazing. "Let's do it, Ravie! We'll teach them all about our burning flamenco!"

While the Song Knights were moving the arena, a certain Icy Thief had just began to put the greatest heist of the century into motion. Siena Aquarian moved with grace through the corridors of the arena, "bumping" against a certain commander of the guard on a crowded place and retrieving what she just needed for her plans, "Now, it's just a matter of finding a way to the trophy room and no one will ever find out what happened~"

Randar was a bit distracted by the hustle of the people arriving. Nonetheless, he shook her hand. Farrah seemed nice enough, but she somehow missed the Dissonance? Well, guess it's possible. Small talk wasn't so hard after all. Wait, who did the Dragon belong to? He shook his head, he was supposed to be paying attention to the people around him, not get distracted in conversation. He was prepared to reply to her when an announcement interrupted him.

Thanks to unforeseen circumstances regarding some of the participants, we will jump straing to the Quarter-Finals! All combatants present yourselves at the arena floor immediately!

Seems like this was all that made it to the competition then. That was a relief, less people means less fights to worry about. It seemed urgent, so he simply said, "Whoops, looks like I need to get moving. Nice meeting you Farrah, got to win my fight. Talk to you after my round is over." He waved farewell to her for good measure. He had to tell Cothyl it was time to do this. Just one thing bugged him on who his opponent was, Mary Stratford. To make it worse, she had the boulder from earlier with her. What was her plan?

He ran outside and yelled to Cothyl, "Hey we need to get to the arena, the fight got pushed to right now." Cothyl looked down, "What do you mean right now? I thought we had a few minutes still." Regardless, he nodded, not like he needed to know who was his opponent. Hopefully they wouldn't get hurt too badly though. Randar pulled out his piccolo, first playing a song to dispel his Spirit, then one more to charge his gun. The notes rang out, high pitched and nicely tuned, even dare say pleasant if someone were to hear it. He turned to quickly run back in, which ring was he in again? Randar was far too excited for his first match to be anything but first into the ring.

Let's see, Farrah was ring one, so that left three other possible places. He ran to ring 3, hopefully this was the right one. Excitement crossed his face, yes, first one here. Now to think of handling Mary and her crazy tactics. She has her spirit and for some reason that boulder she rode in on. He gave a sigh, shouldn't be too hard, right? He played the same song as before to summon Cothyl, not like his Spirit could have walked through the tiny doors. Standing at 16 feet tall, the stage was set for the fight. Now to wait for Mary, no doubt she had a plan for an over the top entrance.

A jump in schedule? Ah well, that was alright as long as it made things shorter. Moros finished off the homemade pie he'd taken from home with home and stepped onto the arena floor, pole in hand and Lefay beside him, imitating his movements and shape with such precision that one may be confused as to which one was real, if either were at all. Ring one right? Yeah that was it. With nothing else to do Moros silently waited for the battle to start. Quarter finals. If he managed to somehow win this then he could say he'd made it to the finals. Mother wouldn't be too disappointed then. Yeah, he should probably shoot for that. On the other hand just saying he made it to quarter finals shouldn't break her heart...

“Yeah, nice meeting you too.”

Farrah waved the boy off even as Ravielin landed beside her with crossed arms. She knew her Spirit was neither afraid nor concerned with the coming battle ahead. Good. It was nice to have some confidence around here. Though not too much, lest they fall to simple arrogance.

When the summons for the combatants were heard, Farrah summoned away Ravielin until the actual fight began. Then, she too walked to join the other Song Knights and was glad to see the arena around them was finally beginning to crowd up. For a split moment she could have sworn she had seen the Carrion himself among the crowd but figured it was just a trick of the sun glare.

She thought it was yet another trick when the announcer had proclaimed they would be skipping right to the Quarter Finals. Had that many Song Knights not shown up? Well, might as well get this battle started then. By process of elimination, she guessed the tall-looking boy was Moros. She gave him a grin before waiting for the match to begin.

Taylor Sinclair

Ring Four: Claudia Blair vs Taylor Sinclair!

“Which one’s ring four Scar?” Taylor’s mood considerably brightened since she had less people she needed to fight, which in turn helped her chances of earning her reward… which she paid for with her own money… that quickly soured her mood once more and wanted to snatch Scarlet’s hat once more to get it back. With a sigh, Scarlet stared Taylor down until she just grumbled.

“This way Taylor, honestly you ought to pay more attention if you want to win.” Catching the thrown falchion as it angrily pinwheeled through the air at her head, Scarlet rested it on her shoulder as she walked into the Arena, Taylor in tow spinning the silver Trumpet in her hands. Scarlet grinned in a friendly manner at their opponents wanting to break the ice

“Hi, I’m Scarlet, nice to meet you both. Now, Taylor would introduce herself but she has A MASSIVE HANGOVER” all but shouting into Taylor’s ears to which she responded equally loud “I DO NOT! Do you want me to burst an ear drum? By the dead Gods Scarlet, you’d think I can’t handle my liquor by the way you talk sometimes. I-I mean, I don’t drink, what are you talking about I absolutely do not drink? You know what? Whatever, don’t listen to her”

“Aww don’t be bitter Tay, we’re gonna have a bit of a hard time anyway, fire on fire is generally explosive and this lovely spirit looks like her flame is a bit more potent than mine. Well in most regards, but we’re not allowed to talk about the other kind~” rolling her eyes, Taylor brought the trumpet to her lips and Scarlet stood side on and pointed the blade at Claudia and Ravel.

“So when do we begin~?”

Moros Vorsickle

Moros gave a mental groan. A girl? And from that smile she was a nice one too. Well whatever, all the more reason to get this over with quickly. Moros returned her smile with a half-hearted grin of his own and stood up. Time to go. In the well rehearsed movement that made up the beginning of most battles Lefay shouted, "Let's go." in that generic brash male voice she used when imitating him. Then Lefay and Moros rushed forward to either side of their opponent and two metal poles woofed through the air. Lefay's swing was aimed at Farrah's head and came from Farrah's left side, whilst Moros's swing was aimed at Farrah's thigh, from the opposite side. It wasn't terribly creative, but it made dodging difficult and in Moros's mind was a fairly good way to kick things off. Hopefully he didn't lose too badly, it would be embarrassing if he couldn't at least make it look close.

“Let’s,” was all Farrah said, her own grin meeting Moros’ determination. The attack on both fronts was an interesting ploy to use right off the bat and Farrah would have surely gotten struck by both in consecutive order. But she had something her opponents lacked and that was aerial support. A wall of red flames would find itself separating the Song Knight from her opponents, Ravielin shooting out twin plumes of fire from her palms.

No doubt that would halt any sort of charge on her. As the wall of fire only rose higher into the air, Farrah summoned her own weapon before moving out of sight. By the time the flaming wall was quelled, Farrah was gone, already on the move. With her violin bow in hand, she aimed to strike down Moros while Ravielin dive-bombed to release massive fireballs at his Spirit.

Moros Vorsickle

Moros was stopped short by the wall of flame but Lefay was undeterred, recklessly charging through it, the only visible effect the brief exposure had on her was to remove her colors and cause an outer layer of silver material to began dripping off from the heat. A malicious grin appeared on Lefay's face and hurled a heavy orb of the heated metal at Farrah before turning to deal with the spirit. Pesky flying thing it was. She was able to avoid the fireballs with relative ease by simply hurling her mass in a given direction, her unique form allowing her to do so further and without the recovery time a human would suffer. For means of counter attack once again small orbs of metal were hurled at the flying creature, in addition Lefay's evasive maneuvers took her into the landing spots of any missed metal shots, allowing her to regain her mass. Meanwhile Moros, having waited for the fire to die down, now saw his opponent fully armed and Lefay had taken the initiative, as she usually did, dealing with her spirit. How bothersome, hopefully Lefay could take down that spirit or Moros would be helpless to fight it. Still, managing with what he could, Moros moved to engage Farrah. His basic plan was to block a hit on his staff, wrap it around the blade, and use his greater strength to yank it out of her grasp. If such an opportunity didn't present itself it would be a simple game of "swing at stuff until it breaks". A polite smile remained on his face and he found himself thinking, well this isn't so bad, yet.

Magical Notes

A tale of Songs and Knights

The battles had finally began and the public was raging all over the Imperial Colosseum, the clashing spirits of the new generation of Song Knights were enough to light the fire of the soul of even the most weary farmer but, it seemed that at least a certain few individuals were more interested in their own plans than on the tournament.

One of such individuals was Emilia Warov, the Regent Princess of the Kingdom of Warovia, one of the many nations that are part of the Wolgang Alliance. Currently the Princess was in the company of the younger sister of Princess Ires of the Bach Empire, Princess Riselotte Ralveyk Bach, as well as an escort from Wolfgang, Rhodri Gwynfor, whose family had in a good relationship with Warovia for a long time. The contents of their conversation, occasionally interrupted by the loud cheers of the general public on the lower sections of the Colosseum, was a commercial agreement between Warovia (known for its reserves of resources) and the Empire's Craftsmen Association.

With most of the finer parts of the agreement already sorted out, Emilia said, as she gazed upon the arena floor, "Well, I believe most of our negotiation is already concluded, Princess Riselotte. It leaves only the payment method open for your Highness to decide but, if you allow me a suggestion. The Gwynfor Household, represented here by my escort, Rhodri Gwynfor, has connections to neutral banking houses. It would be in both our interests to handle the transaction through th- Huh!?"

Just as the Warovian Princess was about to finish her sentence, a huge tremor shook the Colosseum to its very core. It was as if the sky itself had parted and rumbled with unspeakable power. When the tremor stopped, a voice that some of the Song Knights that were at the early struggle at the marketplace had heard before said, "One moment of your attention, everyone. I'm sorry to say but, this mockery of a tournament will be cancelled shortly. Please, accept this little present, as a payback for your troubles~" The mysterious girl from early said as a rain of musical sheets began to fall over the grand arena.

Moments before they touched the ground the sheets would produce the hideous screen that came with the birth of a dissonance. It looked like there were about a couple dozens of dissonances looking like undead soldiers had filled the stadium and began massacring the spectators (who, in most part, were defenseless civilians). It didn't took long for chaos to spread like a wild fire, leaving only the few remaining Song Knights to protect as many as they could.

Randar has been waiting for Mary for quite a while, was it possible she just forgot about the fight? If she did, guess this would be another round he was closer to winning. Although, he was looking forward to the fight. Shaking his head, he had to concentrate. Mary was gonna burst into the room soon, probably with a flashy entrance. He expected A surprise from Mary, not what was about to happen.

That's when he heard it, the unmistakable voice of the small girl. She nearly turned the crowd on him when wanted to help, and she was causing trouble again. "...Please, accept this little present, as a payback for your troubles~" Then came the scream of Dissonances. one, two, no three, more and more they echoed through the arena, how many were there? Those screams were quickly drowned out by the terror of civilians panicking. "This won't happen again, not on my watch. Cothyl, we need to help them, screw the fight with Mary." Acting quickly, he had to do damage control first.

The first step was to protect the civilians, which meant they needed to calm down. His instrument already out, he played slow and peaceful tune. This was meant to calm people down and instill hope that they will be saved. It may have failed last time, but he wouldn't just give up trying. He made sure he was heard as loud as possible as he directed the scared civilians, "Everyone, I'm gonna need you to move quickly away from these things and take shelter until this is handled." Maybe he didn't know all the details, but it was better than standing around getting picked off. With a small hop and some assistance, he leaps up on Cothyl's shoulder. Gun in one hand, holding onto Cothyl for support with the other hand. Piccolo in his pocket for now, he took aim at the closest Dissonance. Now was the time for action, this had to be dealt with as best as he could.

Charging into action, it was a sight to see. A 16 foot tall Spirit with a rather short Song Knight on his shoulder. Randar was counting his shots on the Dissonances, every sixth shot swapping to his piccolo and playing a tune, causing his gun to glow with energy again. Then swapping back to resume shooting. Cothyl would just stomp the ones not near civilians, preferring to pick up and crush the ones too close. Randar was making sure to have a clean hit. While Cothyl was making a mess, not on purpose. Its just natural for his size to break things since he was focused on stopping the Dissonances. It was almost a contrast how careful he was on not hurting the civilians.

~Amelia Brandt & Nem~

Amelia sighed.

It was a rather unfortunate set of circumstances that brought her here, today. Well, not really unfortunate that she was here, but more so unfortunate that she arrived late. Much too late to take part in the tournament. Her father was certain to scold her for it once she returned home, but there was little she could do about it now so worrying about it wouldn't be good. She'd take the punishment and scolding, as one should when they make mistakes.

Still, she wasn't looking forward to to it.

"Aww, cheer up babe. It's not like we have to go home soon. We're grown women, we can do whatever we want~" A voice beside her chuckled. The source of the voice, a certain mischievous little Imp by the name of Nemain, was wearing her usual grin and was wearing her usual...lack of clothing as she floated beside her. The creatures wings flapped slowly as she hovered on her back, likely lounging on some unseen air current. In one of her hands was a ripe red apple, and since Amelia hadn't given it to her, she could only assume she had stolen it when she wasn't looking.

The thought only made her sigh again, and hold a hand to her temples in slight frustration. While she wasn't going to scold Nem for doing such a thing, it was annoying to say the least. If she had gotten caught, then that would just be more trouble for her.

"If I don't, I'll only be in more trouble." Amelia replied, giving the spirit a sharp look, voice harsh. "And I would prefer it if you didn't steal when we're in the middle of something." Nem simply rolled her eyes in an almost mechanical fashion, in a manner suggesting it was a routine action for her. She floated over to Amelia, placing an elbow on the humans shoulder and leaning on her, apple still in one hand.

"Steal? Why, these apples are all mine, Amy. Want a taste?~" The nickname caused Amelia to redden slightly. She had never gotten used to such a casual manner of being addressed, even by Nem. Not to mention, judging from the tone and way she said 'apples', and currently turned her body to face Amelia and was pressing her chest into her arm, she was insinuating something else entirely. Amelia simply huffed in dismay. Sometimes, Nem's shenanigans were amusing. Sometimes, they were just annoying.

This time, it was the latter. Maybe it was just the bad mood she was in.

"I'd rather have melons, thank you." Amelia replied, with a grunt, picking up the pace towards the Colosseum. She'd at least watch the fights. Things could be learned from watching, after all, and as much as she'd love to participate, it was much too late for that. Nem simply floated there, losing her grip on Amelia's arm as she walked off, looking like a child who had their ice cream fall onto the ground and melt into oblivion.

"Melons are neither cute nor adorable..." She muttered to herself, before kicking up a little gust with her wings, catching up with Amelia. "Come oooon, Amy." Nem continued, floating beside her, holding the apple tantalizingly close to Amelia's face. "I know your disappointed because you didn't get to fight, love, but that's no reason to be all grumpy."

Amelia simply looked somewhat boredly at Nem. The human had never really been able to hide much from the spirit.

"Let's say we go relax a bit after the tournament, hmm? You've been in a bad mood the entire time we've been here, and if you don't cheer up, I'm going to have to take drastic measures!~"

Well, she wasn't wrong. She had been in a fairly foul mood this entire time. Relaxing might be nice...though, she wasn't really sure how to 'relax' unless it meant sparring. She also had a sinking feeling she knew what those 'drastic measures' would be, and she really didn't want to experience that again.

"I suppose we could..." She almost dismissively replied. Amelia almost wanted a Dissonance to appear, if only she could have something to do. But well, that would be bad and she didn't want needless chaos to happen. "Though, I doubt many song knights would be able to keep up."

"Pfft, does it matter? You could just toy with them for a bit, babe." Nem replied, bringing the apple away from Amelias face since she seemed completely uninterested in it, taking a bite of the fruit herself. "...Hmm, juicy!~" She said through mouthful of apple.

"That is not something any honorable Knight would ever do." The Knight replied sternly.

"I'm neither, so I don't have to worry about that!~" She giggled once again, before taking another bite of the apple. Amelias shoulders slumped slightly. Why did the gods have to curse bless her with such a troublesome spirit?

For the most part, their exchanges continued in a similar manner all the way to the Colosseum. Amelia had been hoping to arrive before they started, but it seemed she was a little late for that as well. Still, she watched the ensuing battles with rapt attention, delighting in the dance of Knight and Spirit. She wanted to be down there herself, but that was the consequence of being late, one she'd be certain not to make again. For the most part, Nem simply watched with boredom, seemingly uninterested in the display. In fact, she had her hands resting behind her head, hovering slightly off the ground...snoring.

And then it seemed the gods smiled on her plight.

The entire Colosseum shook, waking even Nem from her little nap and causing her to lose concentration, and land on the ground with a small, adorable sounding squee noise.

"One moment of your attention, everyone. I'm sorry to say but, this mockery of a tournament will be cancelled shortly. Please, accept this little present, as a payback for your troubles~"

Sheets of music began falling over the arena, Dissonances' spawning before they even hit the ground.

"H-huh? What gives! I was having a nice dream involving a banana and a really big pair of apples." Nem complained.

"Dissonances'" Amelia simply replied, drawing her sword from its sheathe. Nems face suddenly turned a bit serious, though she didn't seem overly concerned.

"Well, have fun with that, then."

"Of course I will." Her usual neutral expression was replaced with a smirk as she brought the hilt of her blade to her lips. Placing her fingers upon the instrument, she began playing. It was a fast paced, energetic upbeat tune. It was only a short piece of course, as time was of the essence here, but its melody echoed through the Collesuem, and its effects took hold quickly. Soon, her body felt as light as a feather, and she could feel the minuscule currents of air moving around her.

Without a word to Nem, she entered the fray. The Spirit, simply watched with mild interest as Amelia began fighting.

Amelia sent about getting to work quickly. It wasn't her job to contain the chaos, and chances were since the civilians were already panicking, it would be a bad idea to try and interfere with them as they were. The most effective method to stop this from spreading, was to deal with the source. In this case, the undead soldiers. Taking note of a few more Song Knights in her vicinity, she made sure to leave them to their battles unless her assistance was absolutely required.

So she focused on the group of skeletons in front of her.

She jumped over the first one, landing gracefully on her feet behind it. Before it had a chance to even react, she plunged her blade into his head as another attempted to sneak attack her from behind. She jumped to the side, spinning as she withdrew her blade from the undead and impaling the second on it, grabbing it by its head and pulling it towards her. She jumped, her body turning vertical and spinning once while she jumped over the second as a third undead's weapon just barely avoiding clipping her. She landed gracefully on her feet, and continued her assault.

She would probably look like a graceful whirlwind to any looking in. She danced among the undead, blade slicing at their necks, spines, and any weak point she thought she saw. Avoiding their blows was easy enough. She could almost tell where they were coming from before they even attacked. More than once she pulled of a feat of incredible acrobatics. And occasionally, she'd skillfully play another short melody on the flute, whilst still managing to dodge and attack blows.

Nem, simply continued to watch. She almost wanted one to attack her so she'd have something to do, but for ht most part, she remained out of the battle for now.

Moros Vorsickle

Moros scanned the area. Not this again. It seemed that devil of a girl had left them another present. Hadn't she caused enough trouble for the day? It looked as though there was yet more work to do. Ugh. Sighing morosly to himself, nodded to Lefay and the two charged into battle, focusing on keeping escape routes for the civilains clear. Already he could see blood as some of the skeletons began killing those they'd appeared next to, the ones that Song Knights had been too slow to stop. Though it looked like those still able to battle were responding quickly. A beautiful women with white hair was dismembering the disortions with casual ease and another blond haired kid was destorying them from atop what appeared to be some sort of gaint lizard, not too different looking from a disortion itself. The polite grin on Moros's face had dropped to one of utter neutrailty. Lefay and himself swept through the undead in tandem, brutal quick strokes breaking bones, the two of them effectively destroying any undead they encountered, the soilders unable to withstand their combined assault.
