I may tweak the history a bit tomorrow, I spent all day on the OOC and then did the sheet after all.

Player Name: Sep
Character Name: Rear Admiral William Locke
Character Age: 46
Character Gender: Male
Appearance: Locke wears the traditional officer uniform of the United Earth Council, traditional black with the symbol of the old United Nations on his left shoulder. Medals (on dress occasion) are pinned on the front. To signify that he is Martian on his right shoulder there is the old Martian Unity emblem, below which is that of the Vitae.
Profession: Commander of Ark Vitae.
Nationality: Previously a citizen of the Martian Unity.
Strengths:
  • Special Ops Training: Mars always prided itself on it's special ops division, prior to being assigned to the Vitae Locke spent his entire career on stealth ships running surveillance and counter surveillance ops. In the three day war he lead a fleet of ships in a flanking maneuver against the Devastators. His training gives him a unique way of thinking over more traditional officers.
  • Charismatic: So long playing the spy game, he's good at working with people and simply working people.
  • Intelligent: He may not be a scientist of any caliber, but he's well educated.
  • Respected: He's known to never expect anything of his crew that he himself wouldn't do, which makes his crew trust and respect him. He doesn't just throw his weight around.

Weaknesses:
  • Career Military: He may be Spec Ops and used to not going on much, but he's still used to following orders. It'll be hard to adapt to the last order of 'See to it that humanity survivies'. Not to mention it goes against "leave no man behind".
  • Prejudice: He'll say it won't affect him, but most Martians grew to resent people from Earth first for their treatment, second Mars had a desert and tried to turn it into a garden. Earth started with a garden and paved it. It's something he never understood and thought them to be fools for. He also harbours a strong resentment to those who would willingly alter themselves with cybernetic enhancements.
  • Missing eye: He lost his eye when a bulkhead exploded during the defense of Mars in the Three Day War, while he himself refused a replacement he still sometimes gains pain from the injury and it limits his peripheral vision.
  • Depression: He'll wear a strong face, but he can't deny loosing his home, family and even his planet has had a psychological effect on him.

Personal Effects: Very little, some photographs and clothes. He also has a collection of stones taken from Mars as his connection to home.
Bio: Martian soil was tough to live on, even post revolution. Despite advances in technology Martians still lived in domes when he was a young boy, it wasn't until he was ten that they successfully made the atmosphere breathable and the domes were taken down in a mass celebration. He never could fathom what it would be like to have been born on Earth, but secretly he always wanted to. Cursing that he had grown up on this rock where until ten he just breathed recycled air, and after the dome was taken down there wasn't much to the planet. It was red, and it was barren.

He wanted to leave Mars behind, go out into space and see what was there. There was planets, there was moons and nebulas. He enlisted in the Martian Navy at eighteen, despite it's own Navy being young in comparison to that of the Federation or Conglomerate the Martian Navy had an ever growing Special Ops program. In being unable to go toe to toe with larger navies like the factions from Earth Mars relied on cutting edge stealth tech and tactics. After sitting an aptitude test he was sent to special ops. They taught him how to gain peoples trust, to pretend to be someone he wasn't and to be a killer. He excelled at every stage.

At the age of 21 he was sent on his first Op, the Martians had a Spec Ops vessel disguised as a bulker in order to gather information on the infamous pirate known as Tiberius Wallace. The ship was attacked by one of Wallaces vessels in the attempt to steal their 'cargo'. However everything went as planned and a member of the Martian Spec Ops infiltrated the crew. This went on for several months until it was Williams turn to sneak aboard the enemy ship, in a new fake bulker. It turns out however that either one of the Martians betrayed them or Wallace had found out by torture or bribery because the pirate ship began firing on the small trade vessel. The first hit threw everyone into a panic, seeing no other option William took control and broke cover. The cargo pods on the ship detached and the weapon systems enabled and began firing at the enemy vessel, though not before they sustained heavy damage to their navigation, propulsion and comm systems. It took several weeks to fly back to Martian Orbit, and by the time they reached it they discovered that the unprecedented had happened, the Federation, Conglomerate and Martians had all worked together to defeat the scourge.

He gained his own command the same year the Devastators came, 2196 when he was only 28. It was only a small corvette but it was a still a big change for him, he was present observing the Citadel as the Devastators came, with the sole mission of seeing what the fleet was capable off and report back. He could hardly believe what he saw, the utter devastation. However when he reported back, he himself suggested that the Martians not engage and that they instead remain on defense. Which they did, Titan and so many lives were lost. Which would forever weigh upon Lockes conscience.

When the Devastators finally came for Mars Locke was in orbit with his ship, risking everything he took his own vessel as well as a couple of ships to attack their flank in a risky maneuver. It only succeeded thanks to the timely intervention of Admiral Roland Constantine and the combined forces of the Federation and the Conglomerate which took the attention of the Devastators so that Lockes vessels could sneak on in behind. It was his actions that day that got him promoted to the position to Rear Admiral. Ten years past, he worked closely with ex-members of the Federation and Conglomerate setting up Special Ops to try and find out more about the Devastators.

When the Genesis Protocol was enacted he was pulled from active duty and assigned to the Vitae, to this day he is still unsure on whether or not he should have taken the assignment but above all else he'll do it to the best of his ability and one of the first things he did to make him better at his job was to familiarize himself with the specifications of the ship, even before he started to choose the crew. He is worried, but won't let it show.

After all, there's no turning back now. The plan was committed, so many people had sacrificed so much and many more were going to die. He wouldn't let a single one of them down.

Code Word: I made it, so I'm not gonna say it.

Kaz stands at 5 foot 11, with buzzed black hair, as required of military personnel. His physique is thin and lean, with some muscle. He wears a golden wedding band, simple but beautiful. His eyes are light brown, with flecks of gold. He often wears the standard ark engineer's uniform during work hours, the only sign that he's in charge is the Chief Petty Officer insignia on his military cap. The standard ark engineer uniform is traditional black, with tool pouches and technological devices on their person. The patch on his left shoulder is the United Earth Council Emblem. Below that is the Engineering Patch, a Cog With Wings. Nagasaki Conglomerate Patch on his right shoulder and a ribbon saying 'Vitae' below that.

Profession: Head of the engineering division, runs and maintains the members and functions of the division.
Nationality: Nagasaki Conglomerate
Strengths: Incredibly Intelligent, Charismatic, Empathetic, Natural and Experienced Leader.
Weaknesses: Alcoholic, Healthy disrespect for Higher Authority, Pacifist (Conscientious Objector), Low Self-Esteem.
Personal Effects: Music Player and songs, A few photo albums of family, personal devices scientific devices, two bookshelves jam packed with books.
Bio:

Kazuhiro 'Kaz' Okasaki was born in Niigata, Nakasaki Conglomerate on June 1st, 2173. Kaz's father was a weapons scientist and his mother died a month after giving birth to him, leaving his father to raise Kaz and his sister, Asuna, who was 3 years older than him. From an early age, Kaz showed his father's brilliance for technological things. In elementary and high school, Kaz attended everything to do with mechanics and electronics. He managed to get a scholarship to The Tokyo Institute of Technology, his first 5 years totally paid for. His sister delved into the arts, attempting to maker her way as a painter and writer. While having limited success, she was making progress and Kaz supported her the entire time.

Meanwhile, Kaz's father argued with the government officials of the conglomerate as they ordered him to make big and badder weapons. Kaz's father's rebellious attitude did not sit well with the higher ups and they decided to do something about it. In 2193, Kaz was attacked and nearly beaten to death, barely surviving. This encouraged Kaz's father to follow orders, just as the conglomerate planned. The experience was life-changing to Kaz, who thought he had just been the victim of a completely random act of violence, he vowed to never hurt another human being. Kaz graduated from the Institute in 2199 with a PhD in Engineering and Applied Sciences. Four months later, Kaz was working for the conglomerate at a plant dedicated to researching advanced power sources and technologies. That same month, he met his wife, Orie. They started dating and finally got married in January of 2200. It was around this time that Kaz was alerted to the blackmail his father was suffering by the conglomerate, a trusted friend in the security industry finding out and telling Kaz.

Doing some more digging, Kaz found that the men that nearly killed him back in '93 were agents of the conglomerate, a message to his genius father that he had to keep working. Infuriated by the new information, Kaz nonetheless kept silent, knowing that if he dug any further that both he and his father could end up dead. In March of 2202, Kaz's son was born, Akio Okasaki. Akio's birth opened his eyes to the danger he was putting his family in by continuing to work for the government. He quit and joined an international energy project, with legal protection from all world governments. In 2205, Orie fell ill with a painful and unidentifiable disease. Kaz took her to the best doctors in the world, but none could figure out what was happening to her. Struck with grief and stress, Kaz often found solace in a bottle of wine and often retreated to it after a long day. Being recently promoted to head of engineering operations in the organization he worked in, he was often bombarded with orders for an organization he was beginning to hate.

In 2206, he was included in a roster of people to leave earth in the face of the devastator invasion. Unaware of his rising alcoholism, Kaz and his family were admitted as ideal candidates.Knowing that his family could be saved, Kaz worked tirelessly to prepare his family for the arks. But two years before the completion, he was informed that Orie's failing health made her ineligible to attend. This news only increased his alcohol consumption as he tried to figure how to tell his wife she would die a violent death. How to tell his son his mother couldn't come. How to deal with the fact that his father and sister would die here as well.

Months before the arks launched, he broke the news to Orie, who had drifted apart from him as he descened into alcoholism and grief. It infuriated him that she understood. it infuriated him that she was happy they would survive. It infuriated him that the love of his life just accepted her fate. He took his son, who was confused and angry, although he was 14 going on 15, he didn't understand what was happening. Kaz sadly drove away from his home for the last time, boarding the ship that would take him and Akio away from Earth forever.

=Lieutenant Dakota Lee Roach.txt= Download complete=

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ship Role Designation: Planetary Sciences & Tactical Theory.
Nationality: Armani
Strengths: >Loading....

  • Augmented: Some people believe that cybernetic enhancements are an abomination.. an act against the will of god, Dakota however simply laughs in their faces. As a space faring Armani from birth, like many others of her kind; she embraced the way of merging organics with machines, something that became a frequent practice to her people due to their already fanatical dependency on machines such as space stations and ships to survive and express their technological prowess. Dakota finds herself integrated with Three main cybernetic systems.

    - B-4IN Cerebral Cortex Amplifier: A brain chip which stimulates neurons to heighten the effectiveness of higher cognitive functions, increasing intelligence and speed of calculative thinking.

    - ArmniVu Optical Eye Replacements: Complete eye replacements, allowing the user to view a visual heads up display to view things such as planetary atmospheric conditions and communications, see clearer and further than others while also holding the ability to see in the dark.

    - Prolex-Holo series prosthetic right arm: This advanced prosthetic arm integrates with brain chips, certain suits and uniforms and visual augments to allow the user to create holograms for the viewing of others, it also acts as a normal functional arm.

  • Analytical & Tactical Genius - Beyond Intelligent: Dakota spent her entire childhood and adult life observing planets from orbit, this was incredibly common for the Armani and found herself within one of the most advanced planetary teaching establishments known to man, this brought her to learn the ways of planetary astronomy, tactical theory and the understanding of navigation and planning which when combined with her brain implant, makes her a near genius.
  • Determined by nature: This girl will never say no, and will never back down, she sees things through to the end and will do anything to reach it no matter the cost.
  • Trained In Advanced Martial Arts: Taking pride in fluidity and power in combat, Dakota like many of her kind focused their energy into martial arts to defeat their foes in close combat, almost being like risk taking dare-devils in their offensive nature.
  • Comedic: Dakota is known to have a strong sense of humor, she filters out her troubles and anxiety by joking about it, purposly attempting to increase morale not only for herself, but her fellow crew.

Weaknesses:

  • Aggressive, Arrogant & Ruthless: Rage builds up easily within her, past experiences clearly made something snap, many people believe she's ruthless enough to kill an entire room of people and not even care afterwards.
  • Medication Dependent: Excessive use of cybernetic augments causes stress upon her body, requiring daily use of medication to allow her body to function to it's highest potential.
  • Sociopathic: Although she may appear charming and sympathetic, she really doesn't care about your problems, the only thing that matters is if you are willing to work with her to get the job done, and if not... good luck.
  • Excessive drinker: She doesn't drink enough to be classed as an alcoholic, but drinking while on medication makes her aggressive, and taking the alcohol away from her can be a struggle sometimes.
  • Incredibly Cocky: Dakota personally believes that she is better than everybody else, her personal pride sometimes blinds her and makes her unpopular among others.

Personal Effects: Her room is incredibly pristine, within the cabin is a holographic interface that connects to her implants, acting as an advanced alternative to a regular desk computer, tools and medication can also be found within the room which expresses the issues she clearly has with her augments, a collection of music, clothes, headphones and other scientific equipment can be found not forgetting a vast array of alcoholic beverages and bottles.

Bio: A fire burned within the bright augmented glow of her artificial eyes, followed by the faint muffled release of a thousand screams, reaching out in agony all at once. Everything was gone, she remembered watching the station.. The citadel; erupting into a hell-fire of orange, a radiant release of atmospheric pressure which thundered out from it's remaining chambers of oxygen; like air releasing from a balloon but instead of fizzling out with a pitiful squeak, explodes tremendously with a shock wave so fierce that every ship within close proximity shattered and caved in under it's fury. Her fists clenched, looking onward from the observation windows of her escape pod with nothing but hatred in her soul and despair in her heart as the bulking mass of devastator ships thundered past, their weapons shredding through everything like it was tissue paper, she couldn't believe the power these beings clearly possessed, it was almost unfathomable and god-like.

Dakota closed her eyes as the pod whisked off into the darkness of space, feeling her body grow colder and her robotic arm freezing up, perhaps it was the shock and realization that her family, her friends, her fellow researchers and co-workers and most importantly her fiance Aiden; were dead. In the blink of an eye thousands of lives were obliterated, and soon after, billions followed and somehow she had survived this ordeal, perhaps it was her intellect, her tactical genius and planning that allowed her to get out alive, calculating the steps required and energy needed to escape was certainly within Dakota's style of thinking, something that not many people especially of her own kind could do, but now.. It seemed like there wasn't many of her kind left, she was a rarity.

Within her, a small flame came to shine, the frost and cold bitterness of shock which had consumed her began to fade as the adrenaline and calculative ruthlessness of her mind returned, as much as she wished she could rip apart the devastators with her bare hands, no matter how the aliens looked she wanted to make them suffer for everything, and even if it meant taking the long route by first rebuilding humanity on a new distant world, she'd succeed in this goal.

As time passed, her escape pod's SOS beacon had been detected by a reaper class cruiser, flying the colors of the Roslin Federation. Her eyes rolled at the sight; Sure, it was a rescue but the Federation had been a complication for the Armani since the beginning of their foundation, although her people remained neutral to each side of earths inhabitants, she still couldn't respect them for causing the many great wars that ravaged across the scarred surface of earth, she saw them almost like aliens, people engulfed by war and pride, using brute force over calculative thinking, intelligence and scientific advancement, but alas, a rescue was a rescue.

Twenty long years had passed....

At this time, Dakota was living on mars, the planetary surface amazed her, as someone that spent her entire life learning about planets, studying their geology, atmospherics, physics, and biosphere she had never actually set foot on one before, not even earth, the strange little muddy rock that humanity spawned from long ago which was now replaced with a nice red one. Since becoming a pawn of the United Earth Council; a newly founded confederation which came to light three days after the destruction of the citadel, it was a joint partnership, a unification of humanity but still... she was mixing with others that were not from natural birth; however she had to make friends, considering that the UEC was now the only remaining and ruling faction of humanity. While working for the Council during the duration of twenty years, she found herself as the main researcher and geographical leader of landscaping projects, as well as planet wide teraforming upon planets which had already began upon mars at a slow pace. By now Dakota was well known by the remaining members of humanity, praised as one of the most brilliant tacticians and planners that humanity had to offer and one of the last remaining Armani which was now almost an extinct nation due to their previous decimation.

During many previous meetings with her so-called superiors, Dakota knew the alien beasts were coming back, she knew for a long time now and still lied in the face of her friends in an attempt to avoid mass panic, however the anger that lingered within her never ceased since the day her people burned, now only one thing remained within her corrupted and broken mind, and that was her determination to find a new home, a safe haven for herself and the last remaining humans, but deep down she had a more apparent goal, the destruction of the alien bastards that caused all of this pain... She swore they would pay; to avenge her people.

As the last days of Mars came, her eyes looked upon the huge array of Ark spaceships, a slight tear came to her eye which was a rarity for something like Dakota. As she sat, Watching them taking off one by one, she found it truly beautiful. The Arks were extremely advanced and built in a collaboration between the earthlings and her own people, deep down she felt sadness, once again she was leaving home, a place she spent twenty years adjusting too; just like the moments that she endured during here evacuation of the Citadel, a place she was once again forced to abandon due to the alien scourge, but looking over towards the Vitae, she knew that this was a new start for her, for everyone, for her people and for humanity, and she knew that with her vast skill set and possibly some teamwork; success would finally come.

No matter the cost...

Player Name: Sep
Character Name: Doctor Loretta Raidne
Character Age: 31
Character Gender: Female
Profession: Head of the Cryogenic Stasis department, biochemical expert.
Nationality: Armani
Strengths:

  • Intelligent: She's one of the foremost experts on Cryogenic Stasis mankind has to offer, some say she's in the top 12.
  • Calculating: She never does anything in the heat of the moment, every move she makes is planned long term in advance, which is one of the reason she likes working with Cryogenics.
  • Augmented: Like many other members of the Armani she is cybernetically enhanced. With an implant in the frontal lobe of her neocortex and her hippocampus in order to improve long and short term memory, both with encoding and recall.
  • Zero-G/Space: She's used to Zero-G environments, as well as working in space due to her races nature.

Weaknesses:

  • Cold: She can seem quite cold and distant sometimes, almost detached.
  • Anxious: She does not do well in situations where she has not had time to plan accordingly, and not spontaneous what so ever or like surprises.
  • Implants: While her implants are sophisticated enough not to cause pain electromagnetic pulses or sounds at certain frequencies can disrupt them causing her pain or even damaging her memory.
  • Solitude: She may appear cold and distant, but there is something to be said about someone who spends more time with people who are in cryogenic stasis rather than people that are awake.

Personal Effects: The plaque from the bridge of the Vigilance, a ship she once lived and served on until it was destroyed by the Devastators above Titan (it hangs above her bed). Her personal effects such as clothes, an vintage chemistry textbook from 2010 that stays in a display case and an equally vintage bottle of Scotch Whisky.
Bio: Loretta was born on the Vigilance, which was once a freighter but had become home to her family and others like them, she attended school aboard the ship and did everything aboard, the Armani being the risk takers they are only they could say that they got to do a field trip to the outer hull of a spaceship. When she was younger she was a happy little girl, she invested herself wholly in science and even from a young age it was what she wanted to do. Her parents encouraged her as all they had ever been was maintenance techs aboard their home vessel.

At the age of eleven the Devastators came, tearing through the Citadel. Every Armani ship was needed in orbit of Titan to protect one of the few land based outposts the Armani had, unfortunately it wasn't enough. The Vigilance was lost, but thankfully not with all hands. Her family and five others had managed to secure themselves in the disaster bunker aboard the ship, floating through space until they were finally picked up. With Armani connections to their vessels being as strong as they were, that when they found a scarred plaque from the bridge of the Vigilance that they gave it to Loretta, who was the youngest in the disaster bunker. Though after this incident she was never the same, she became anxious and jumpy. She no longer sought out to connect to people, she just wanted to be alone with her work. She was driven and calculating, but her parents often worried at how distant she was becoming.

Over the next ten years she excelled herself, she wasn't going to be hopeless ever again. Getting into Mars University at the age of 17 she became one of the big up-and-coming names in the scientific community, taking to cryogenic theory and bio-chemistry like a moth to the flame. Which is why when Genesis Protocol was concocted when she was 21 she was assigned to the Vitae. She finished her dissertation under the guidance of some of the best humanity had to offer, and even helped implement improvements into the cryogenic storage. When it came time to start filling the stasis pods with people Loretta sought out her parents, both of them being an engineer she was sure that they would manage to get through the selection process. They refused.

Even breaking her non-disclosure agreement she told them what the project was, what it meant and what would happen if they didn't come. Always the risk takers, always the patriots they refused. They weren't going to go with her, but instead give there spaces to people younger and more deserving. She cursed them, and pleaded with them. She would have continued if not for the fact that she was recalled back to the Ark to oversee the freezing process aboard the ships cryogenic vault.

Ryūjin Sector Penitentiary

Player Name: Firecracker_
Prisoner Name: Dr. Jameson Myŏng
Pris. Ident. #: 29JM456RSP
Prisoner Age:29
Prisoner Gender: Male
Appearance:

At about 5'9'', Jameson is a man of rather short stature, slender build, with not many blemishes dotting his skin to take note of. He maybe look a tad older and more tired than his dated On Log photo, he still maintains most of the youth he had when he entered prison, maybe sans the energy and happiness.
Profession: Professional Surgeon, Amatuer Cybernetics Engineer
Nationality: Born Roslin Federation, Imprisoned in Nagasaki Conglomerate

Psych. Evaluation

Brief:

Strengths:
  • Being a renowned surgeon means having to have a steady hand and sharp focus, both of which Jameson has plenty of.
  • Operating on people isn’t the limit of Jameson’s medical know-how, so he’s a bit knowledgeable in many different branches of medicine, and even fairly handy at repairing cybernetics and some robotics.
  • Always expected the unexpecting is standard for any good surgeon, so there isn’t much that can be thrown at Jameson that can catch him off guard or mess with his calm focus. You can always be surprised, but you have to be quick on your feet with solutions.

Weaknesses:
  • Jameson is physically pretty meek, not the type of guy you expect to be marching into combat with five guns on his back and a pack full of explosive. He’d rather avoid physical confrontation. Jameson is not a fighter.
  • Seeing as how Jameson’s court trials were huge news in the Nagasaki Conglomerate, and still fairly big outside of it, many people see Jameson as a homicidal maniac, and would sooner shun him than to actually speak with him.
  • After the trials, and being painted as a soulless murderer after granting what he saw as mercy upon dying patients, Jameson has grown distrustful and just about hateful towards people. He may still do his job when he needs to, but past that, he’s lost a lot of social skills.
  • Jameson has had a lot of time to think about what he did and it’s repercussions. Death has been a constant theme of his thoughts, maybe even becoming an obsession. Killing someone while they’re on the table seems interesting.

Personal Effects: Seeing as how Jameson has been in prison for the last 3 years, he has just about nothing to bring. The only thing the prison allowed him were a few pictures of his parents, wilderness pictures he took himself, digital journal, and his own personal Operation Headset to use on the Ark.

Heat Hey, nice marmot

Member Seen 2 mos ago

Player Name: Heat

Character Name: Michael

Character Age: Appears to be in his mid twenties, was created on the Vitae within the past year.

Character Gender: Masculine

Appearance:
Michael stands 6 feet exactly, his frame is lean. He appears externally human with no blemishes, freckles or scars. His medium brown hair is not really hair, it does not grow, he also can't grow facial hair. His skin is a synthetic fiber that feels like real skin but is almost plastic in its composition. His eyes are a deep blue.

Profession: Michael was designed to work with the ship's scientists for whatever task they require, he also answers to anyone listed in his programming as a 'superior'.

Nationality: Synthetic android

Strengths:
  • He has a near encyclopedic knowledge of recorded human history. He can recall any point if asked to.
  • Has a deep scientific knowledge, comparable to a supercomputer.
  • Michael is stronger, faster and better coordinated than a human being. But his strength is not superhuman by any means. It's comparable to modern, lesser advanced robots.
  • He was given a fully functional, detailed personality. Designed to be as human-like as possible in this aspect. He can easily blend in and appear fully human.
  • He knows how to make basic repairs to himself and has a tool kit within his quarters. More complex injuries require his creator's assistance.
  • Michael does not need to eat, drink, sleep or breath. He can survive in an oxygen-less environment.

Weaknesses:
  • Michael was programmed to never harm another human being, even if he is being attacked. Violence against humans is something that would never occur in his mind.
  • He freely thinks but does not have free will, whatever his creators ask he will do. As long as what is asked of him is within his programming.
  • His personality is very naive, he was given emotions but does not really understand what its like to be human. He'll often ask 'odd' questions about human nature and has an almost child-like curiosity about life.
  • He does not feel empathy, if told something that would cause an emotional response in a human he will often stare blankly and appear unaffected, not sure how to react.
  • Michael does not bleed, this would give away to someone that doesn't already know that he is not a real human. Internally he is filled with complex machinery, externally he appears fully human.
  • His body is quite fragile, his skeleton is sturdy but many of his internal mechanisms are vulnerable. His central processor is located in his head, if that is damaged enough then he will shut down.
  • His programming is susceptible to modifications, if someone wanted to modify him for whatever reason then they could and he would be forced to adjust to it.
  • If his serial number (MHSA276012) is read out loud enough for him to hear then he will shut down on the spot.

Personal Effects: Michael does not have many personal possessions, in his room he only has a small wardrobe of clothes and his repair kit.

Bio: Michael was constructed by the Vitae's scientists, the concept for the creation of a humanoid synthetic only something seen in science fiction until then. Robotics and artificial intelligence are both something the human race is familiar with, but Michael is something completely different. If God made humans in his image, then Michael was made in his own creator's image as well.

His creation was a hotly debated subject amongst the few that actually knew of the idea, some frowned upon it, others saw it as a necessity. If we were gathering the greatest of our species, then why not simply create one that would be destined for greatness? They had the technology, no one just had ever given serious thought to creating a truly synthetic man.

The cost of his creation was a high one, but money was not an issue when the survival of the human race was at stake. It took some time to build him, they started from scratch and spent every dime required to make him perfect. It was not rushed, every single moment of it was monitored closely to ensure perfection. They could not afford any failures with such a delicate operation.

Early on in the android's creation some within the team voiced a concern to limit their machine man, they ultimately decided to treat him the same as their artificial intelligence. Michael was given the ability to freely think but not freely act, though his programming left opportunities for modifications. He would answer wholly to those that made him, do whatever was asked without hesitation.

After months of focus and dedication the synthetic man was completed. The final touch was to give him a name, Micheal, there was a certain irony in bestowing a biblical name upon the android but it was oddly fitting. For the past few days he has sat in deactivation, tightly locked away until the moment is right. At his creator's blessing Micheal will be 'born'.

Colonel Theodore Anderson

Space, It's big, deadly, and i have to fly humanity through it.

Male - 40

Theme song

Profession: Pilot for the ark and other vehicles that require his skills.
Nationality: Roslin Federation
Strengths: Quick Reflexes, High Pain Tolerance,Intelligent and Experience in zero-g/space.
Weaknesses: Incredibly Sarcastic,Alcoholic,Lack of respect for command,Depressed and cold.
Personal Effects: While others take as many things they can to remember home. Theodore has surprisingly taken only two things with him. His self made mini bar and a photo of him and his uncle fishing.
Bio:

Some people's childhood are full of beautiful memories. Theodore's childhood was everything but that. Born in the slums of new York Theodore doesn't know his mother or his father as he was dropped of at an orphanage. This orphanage was understaffed and those who worked there were horribly underpaid. To make matters worse he was bullied constantly by almost all the other children. At one point it got so horribly bad that he contemplated suicide. Then at the age of ten. Something happened that would change his life forever. It was a cold winter morning and Theodore was called from his room. Apparently someone had come for him which didn't make any sense since he had no family. However as he walked down the stairs he saw an middle aged man in military uniform. This man named James Anderson was apparently his uncle and had decided to take him in.

This would be a new start for Theodore as James would take care of him as his own son. He took him to his home in Texas where he was given proper schooling, clothes and all the other thing Theodore could have dreamed of when he still lived in the Orphanage. But best of all was that he finally had a family he loved. James and Theodore quickly gained a strong bond that only a father and son could have. They would always go camping every month. Where James learned him how to fish. Then at the age of 18 Theodore would walk the same path like his uncle when he decided to join the navy of the Roslin Federation. In the two years he worked there before the three day war. He specialized himself in the flying of large class ships. In which he quickly prove his skill becoming the top of his class. And was to be assigned to the battleship The RLF Invincible. Which his uncle commanded. Then the Three day war happened. The first two days of the war where just a goddamn blur. But The battle against the Devastators above the planet of Mars still burns into his mind like a passion. A nightmare he cannot escape, and dreams every night.

As they arrived inside Mars's orbit a flurry of SOS signals filled the com's and it soon made sense as they saw the slaughter before them. Most of the stations orbiting Mars were destroyed and where crashing on the planet's surface. For a moment the entire bridge was silent the only sound where the cries of those dying on the comms. The martian fleet was doing it's best to defend the planet but it was slowly getting pounded to mush. The main line had already been crushed and the Devastators seemed to be doing a clean up duty. Then the order was given and the fleet opened fire. The cannons roared as hot molten slag fired. The ship was shaken to its very core. And yet the ship remained eerily silent. There was a mix of anger and sadness so strong no words could be uttered expect the harsh commands of James. Then the missiles left there bay's bringing their deadly payload towards The enemy. But none ever hit home as the enemy ships fired their lasers. The slag had hit home pounding on the enemy hull with barely any effect. Then a command was given from the admiral." All ships follow my lead, Show no mercy." There wasn't a single emotion in those words the rage deeply buried within him. And yet they all felt it.

The devastators finally drew their attention on them and opened fire. There lasers burning right through the hulls of the ships they hit, Like it was wet paper. Theodore could see the Ship beside them exploding not even one escape pod launched killing the entire crew. The closer they moved towards the devastators the more they lost. Ship after ship burned away its crew dying in anguish. This wasn't a battle but a never ending slaughter. By the time The enemy fleet had entered close range weapon fire the fleet had left a trail of destruction behind itself. Close range lasers began to fire doing some damage to the hull of the enemy vessels. Fighter craft launched into the void unleashing every projectile they had on the enemy. Slowly but certain The enemy started to loose ship after ship exploding under the never ending hail of fire. But that hail became smaller and smaller as they lost ship after ship a lot faster than the enemy.

Then one of the Devastators fired at the Invincible sending a laser straight through her nearly hitting the bridge and sending Theodore into unconsciousness. When he awoke he heard nothing as an eerily silence had fallen over the bridge. But as he turned around he quickly realized why. The ceiling had collapsed crushing everyone except him. He then realized he didn't see his uncle and frantically started pulling away part of the collapsed Ceiling. He then found his Uncle. His Torso was utterly crushed with some of the ribs sticking out. And a single metal pipe ran through his neck. But his eyes still had some life left in them and they moved to look into those of Theodore. And with one single sigh of relive the eyes went lifeless and James died. Theodore stood still. Not being able to move. Tears rolled over his face but he did not cry. They had killed the one man in this world that had cared for him. A man that had raised him. But now they would feel his pain. Now they would cower before his rage! He turned around walked towards his controls and looked at the ship’s mainframe. The main reactor was about to overload and is he was fast enough he could crash the ship into the enemy before it exploded. So he throttled the engines at maximum speed and steered it towards the enemy ship Quickly giving Theodore quickly gave command to abandon ship as the ship’s reactor would soon overload. The ship screamed under the pressure, Almost tearing itself apart And yet it held firm even when it got hit again she held together to fulfill her act of vengeance. As they neared the ship which had killed his father Theodore left the bridge running towards one of the escape pods. He launched seeing the ship he had flown with for months bury itself into the Devastator tearing open it hull and destroying it. The explosion that followed knocked him unconscious. the last thing he saw was Mars burning under alien fire.

After this Theodore would be rescued by a destroyer and be transported towards earth where his wounds would be healed. After enough healing he was given the medal of honor. But this didn't really matter to Theodore considering it would not give him his uncle left. For six long years he would command a reaper Cruiser class fighting his alcohol problems in the progress. never really getting over the death of his uncle. However when he returned from a patrol he received a message from high command. Telling him that he was needed at command immediately. When he arrived he was briefed about project Genesis and that he was ordered to become one of the pilots of the arks. He learned the ins and outs of her controls. Studied her frame and how much punishment she could take. And he also learned how to fly the other ships that would join the ark in case the need arises. Now it's time to leave Sol behind, and to save humanity for extinction.

Benjamin Fumio Vipond, PhD in Visual Anthropology

Male-Bodied | 43

Picture a fellow walking the halls of a centuries old Japanese university earning neither the affection nor the ire of the students passing by. Imagine one of relatively normal height and build, perhaps with shoulders a touch broader than some, with a soft mid section that rounds an otherwise slender frame. A slightly furrowed brow and lips made into a thick line, a constant look of minor distraction, like worlds are circling in the mind behind them. What you might remember is the glimpse of a warm smile over a glass of wine, a cannabis cigarette, or a good book. Though in many ways this man might be forgettable, what is most likely to linger in the memory are two synthetic limbs. An odd choice for one so studious, no?

Ship Role Designation: Authority on Human Culture and Art Preservationist, Specializing in Visual Culture
Nationality: Nagasaki Conglomerate
Strengths:

  • Synthetics: Benjamin knew several who sought synthetic implants and replacements. Artificial arms to boost strength and retain improve fine motor skills, an implant to enhance the senses to seemingly super-human levels. Renovations of the flesh in the same manner as one who might approach a home with good bones. He knew several who mused over the possibilities and a few who could afford to realize the dream. Benjamin never gave proper consent to his own synthetics. The physicians would say otherwise, of course, and years later he stands tall with the help of two cybernetic appendages. From time to time he still wonders how many who dreamed of such enhancements would come upon them in the way he had. Should he be grateful?

    - Chikara M12 Prosthetic Left Arm: The Chikara series of prosthetic limbs was designed for increased durability and strength. While other models boast special features, a Chikara prosthetic is built simply and with one purpose in mind -- to endure where others fail. This series was created by the Nagasaki Conglomerate with the military and law enforcement. Some say the added abilities are achieved in part from muting pain sensors surrounding the prosthetic.

    - Jisoku B6 Prosthetic Right Leg: Nagasaki Conglomerate designed the Jisoku series of prosthetic limbs for athletes, infantry, and other professions valuing speed above all. A Jisoku prosthetic is known for unique flexibility, impressive response time, and a level of control of small muscles beyond the average human foot. Rumours suggest that a small percentage of patients retaining other major biological limbs may develop disorders regarding balance over time.

  • Slow to Forget, Quick to Remember: Benjamin encountered a professor during primary school with little love for their charges. When a student would act foolishly and suffer a poor grade or discomfort, the professor would simply exclaim, "Stupid hurts. The smart ones will remember." Over the years Benjamin has made missteps foreseeable and entirely unpredictable, however, those words drove him to take every bit of unpleasantness as a lesson learned. Whether taught a valuable lesson or shown great disloyalty, Benjamin shan't forget any time soon.
  • Insatiable Appetite for Knowledge: A doctorate is far from proof of great intelligence -- rather it is a symbol for the ability and dedication to pursuing wisdom. Benjamin is a quick study of human expression and behaviour, often deviating from the core of his specialties into a Jungian track more suitable for a psychologist. Such is unavoidable for one so endlessly fascinated by the universe.
  • Love is My First Language: Honeyed words, a low and soothing voice, and both a nonthreatening and nonjudgmental demeanor makes Benjamin uniquely likable. Dabbling with poetry in his youth, he noticed the way his words often caused others to swoon and has since honed the inherent ability into a refined skill. Benjamin knows how to read body language and appeal to the individual. After a couple of drinks he might put that love language to work as well -- perhaps keep some distance.

Weaknesses:
  • Not Built For That: Benjamin is a proficient boxer, a decent sprinter, and runs a seven-minute mile -- as of 2188. After beginning courses for post-secondary school early the fun and games of sports melted away. The young Benjamin spent long hours at a desk over several books rather than on the track and such has become a fact of life ever since. He is as physically capable as any able-bodied man, but he is among the last of those chosen to lift heavy objects conquer physical feats.
  • The Fine Print: Humans are biological creatures who begin to know their bodies before anything else. When this process is changed abruptly, through an accident or synthetic replacement, recovery is key. Benjamin believes the wide berth between his natural and synthetic abilities may make him more susceptible to rumoured disorders associated with robotic prosthetics. No doctor has confirmed his suspicions yet, however, Benjamin increasingly suffers confusion after excessive use of his synthetic abilities.
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder: Benjamin has experienced a number of dangerous environments in his life. He walked the nuclear wastelands of Europe and recovered artifacts in the warring South Pacific, however his first venture into space left the most greatest impression. The experience not only took his flesh, it wounded his psyche. Benjamin suffers minor anxiety when faced with reminders of space and may fall into a full panic attack given a few triggers. Greenery helps keep his disorder in check, including plants both artificial and synthetic, as well as cannabis.
  • 1/2 Oz of Aged Cannabis Sativa: Cultivation of cannabis began several millennia ago. Almost three centuries prior humanity recorded benefits from micro-dosing key cannabinoids when concerning illness physical, mental, and emotional. Benjamin began using cannabis regularly for such benefits. He is not technically dependent, but small doses of CBD and CBN clearly offer greater comfort.

Personal Effects: Benjamin keeps a small trunk filled with flamboyantly stylized and yet surprisingly dark clothes. He has a modest collection of large, dusty tomes regarding human artwork, visual language, and Jungian psychology on a small bookshelf near his bunk. Beneath his pillow he keeps a small tanto, while a pistol the size of his hand rests at the bottom of his trunk. Finally, Benjamin is known to write poetry, notes, and sketch the artwork for which he is responsible. Learning need not stop during their great voyage.
A Summarized Jaunt Through the Past:Youth inspires a person to dream. The twilight of young naivety and old pessimism wrought an adventurous and educated vision that would lead child-Benjamin to become an anthropologist. He mused about artists and cultures lost centuries ago, one moment accepting their passing and the next daring to wonder what surprises they might have left behind. This strange dichotomy bred a scientific and creative mind suitable for exploration. He would explore such mysteries from the comfort of his bed for nearly two decades.

Benjamin was born and raised in Japan. His Afro-French father and Japanese mother both worked as government officials for Nagasaki Conglomerate as they would for until retirement. The obscurity of his town made government jobs seemingly special, in the same way the children of a cop might earn fear or respect. Growing up Benjamin heard teasing that he needn't try so hard to impress, that the government would swoop in one day with a job regardless -- 'the Conglomerate takes care of its own'. No one understood that Benjamin did not try harder to impress, however, he did so to follow a passion. Benjamin was eighteen years old when fate proved his friends right.

Learning came easier to Benjamin than to most. By graduation from secondary school he was already completing courses for post-secondary and seriously debating what field held the greatest interest. When the Conglomerate made contact he had chosen art history. He quickly found himself placed as an intern for a government agency dedicated to preserving the Asian cultural icons. The work began tediously. Cleaning and polishing works was more common than study or discussion. Nearly a year passed before Benjamin became an employee outright and chose to study communities in the years after devastation. The topic captured him so wholly that the visual expression responding to Hiroshima and Nagasaki became the core topic of his Master's thesis a few years later.

The opportunity of a lifetime came to Benjamin after publishing his thesis. In less than six months, and shortly after beginning work toward his doctorate, the offer to join an expedition came fell at the young academic's feet. Under the tutelage of more astute minds than his own, Benjamin ventured into the long abandoned swaths of Europe. For weeks at a time they would set up in towns nearest to the Red Zones -- regions still too radiated for human habitation -- and from where they launched their investigations. First they would send drones to measure the precise threat of the environment and complete as much work from a distance. Afterward, the team donned protective suits and traveled into the Red Zones personally to recover artifacts of cultural or artistic importance. For every four weeks near a Red Zone the team would spend one exploring the hellish terrain. Six months passed until the fruits of their labour were presentable and after a fortnight of radiation treatments the group revealed their findings. Returning centuries old cultural icons to humanity proved as much moving as it was a political symbol. Benjamin and the group soon found themselves repeating their presentation within the Conglomerate and set for Mars as well. It was during this trip off-planet that the Three Day War broke out. The evacuation notice came too late, leading civilian vessels take off as the violence erupted around Mars. Many civilians died in the chaos, while a fortunate few survived long enough for treatment back on Mars. Benjamin remembers only glimpses of his shuttle being hit. What comes back most easily is the horrific abundance of blood.

Benjamin sought recovery through the life of an academic. Years of intensive work revealed a mind unlike the youth who'd left Earth before, his study now cast in the light of one who survived great devastation firsthand. As Benjamin grew accustomed to the robotic prosthetic earned from the war, so too did his professional reputation grow. Shortly after the turn of the century Benjamin became Doctor Vipond. His life as an expert concerning visual anthropology soon balanced teaching and continuation of his work in Europe. The work continued uninterrupted until his boss approached him on behalf of the Conglomerate about the Genesis Protocol. Until the day Benjamin stepped foot upon Vitae he looked upon the Earth differently.

Code Word: It's like a tree, but a fruit. The skin resembles a strange hybrid of crusty scales and rich bark. Nothing about the appearance suggests something sweet or pleasant might reside inside, that's more fact than opinion too. Some might see the tuft of green sprouting from the top no less than a symbol for nourishment within, but I find such a description befits mold just as well. Go ahead and call this unfortunate lot pineapples, I'll stick to a more suitable name -- complete shite.

And because of his hard work, he was accepted to Stanford University. He wanted to get his major in history and his minor on political sciences so he could become an ambassador. The world was in a peaceful state until the Three Day War, where the Citadel was destroyed and humanity met the Devastators for the first time. After the war ended, the world was a different place. The remaining factions became The United Earth Council and Kevin was still focus to get his degrees. At the age of twenty-one, he got his degrees and took the Foreign Service Officer exam. He passed with flying colors and become an officer. Kevin spent ten years working as an ambassador for the world. During his time, he met his future wife and her son. Julia was from California and her son, Wyatt, was a child.

That was when the world learned about Project Genesis. Riots ensured and the world's military was willing to fight one last time against them. As soon as Project Genesis was announced, Kevin was selected among with others to have the role of ambassador on the ships. He was able to take his entire family with him, because they only allowed with three family members. However, the rest of their families have to be left behind. Julia gave birth to another son, Brandon, and he was able to come when the time came to leave. Ten more years later, it was time to leave behind the Sol System. He packed their belongings and important things to take on board. He spent months, saying goodbye to their families and friends that were left behind. Wyatt was angry and upset for a teenager and Brandon was young enough to be remembered this event.

They soon left for Mars and boarded the Vitae. This was a brand new start from both his family and humanity.

Player Name: Raxacoricofallapatorius

Character Name: Masamune Isogai

Character Age: 31

Character Gender: Male

Appearance: 5'9" and 152 lbs. Masamune's usual appearance is one of someone who has just been rudely awakened from a nap. The dark circles under his eyes accompanied by the fact that he often forgets to shave gives his face a fairly mean look. In spite of this he's in good physical condition, if a bit thin, and his haggardness seems to have no lasting effects on his ability to carry out his duties. He keeps his hair short and dresses simply when out of uniform, although such an occasion is quite rare.

Profession: Robotics Technician

Nationality: Nagasaki Conglomerate

Strengths:
- Intensely analytical, he is able to strip a situation down to its bare bones in much the same way he disassembles machines to find the issue.
- Doesn't waste time or words, and his abruptness of speech often comes across as blunt and abrasive, but not necessarily wrong.
- Innate problem-solver, he always looks for the most straightforward answer to the question and is an expert at finding needles in haystacks.
- Strong work ethic, he'll stick to a project until it's complete even if it means skipping breaks, meals, and sometimes sleep altogether. Whatever it takes, he'll get the job done, and his reliability is one of the biggest contributors to his success.

Weaknesses:
- Poor people-skills, being blunt doesn't make you very many friends.
- Jumps to conclusions, he's so accustomed to being right that he often relies on his assumptions--which are usually right, but everyone is prone to error occasionally.
- Tends to ignore people he doesn't agree with, on a similar note as above he doesn't take constructive criticism very well and tends to turn a deaf ear to those who try to offer unsolicited advice.
- Workaholic, someone who skips meals and goes without sleep because he's so focused on work tends to become worn out.

Personal Effects: Aside from a change of clothes, the majority of Masamune's personal possessions are his own experimental robotic creations. His room is very untidy and littered with bits of mechanical equipment, odd tools, and broken parts from unfinished projects.

Bio: Masamune and his twin brother Katsuyuki were born into the thriving city of Osaka in the year 2185. Their mother was a very influential ambassador for the Conglomerate, and their father was president of Osaka New™ (or O.N. as it is commonly referred to), one of the leading companies in the production and distribution of AI technology to the common people. As middle sons between an older brother who was estranged from the family, and a younger sister who was born some years after, the twins were shouldered with a certain measure of responsibility in regard to their father's company. Masamune, being the elder twin, was especially pressured from a young age to eventually fill his father's shoes. When they were children the boys were almost inseparable, the best of friends, but as they grew older Masamune was forced to grow up much faster than his brother and their identical tendencies faded as the gap between them grew ever wider. He was fascinated by the man-made world around him and quickly developed the same passion for machines and automatons that had driven his father to the level of success he had in that day. There was nothing he enjoyed more than taking things apart to see how they worked. Radios, televisions, computers, and robots when he could get his hands on them. He started to think that being the company's successor might not be so bad if it meant he got to do these kinds of things.

Everything changed when the Devasators made themselves known to mankind. The attack happened just two months short of the boys' 11th birthday, and the Three Day War turned theirs and everyone else's world upside-down. Suddenly things like family succession lost priority, when it was doubtful whether or not the human race would still be around for another generation. Their progressive parents, however, refused to let the family sink into despair and it probably saved their children's lives. Having already been provided with the best education money can buy, and being naturally talented in his own right, Masamune was thrown headlong into his studies. He excelled in applied mathematics and majored in robots once he was old enough to be let into university, graduating early and immediately going to work for O.N. where his dedication and aptitude for the field soon won him the respect of his peers and supervisors. He quickly gained a reputation for being the fastest and most efficient mechanic in the company, and once he was familiar with the newest prototypes there was no one who could construct and deconstruct the models as quickly as Masamune.

As time wore on he began to hear whispers, careless murmurs behind closed doors, of something called Genesis. He never thought much of it until the year of his and Kastuyuki's 20th birthday, when the O.N. headquarters became the target of a terrorist attack. Masamune, Katsuyuki, and their sister were visiting friends in Tokyo at the time and watched the tragic event unfold on the television before their eyes. Their father, mother, and 27 others were killed with another 54 people injured. All civilian casualties. Something broke inside of Masamune at the time, and he never seemed to recover from their parents' death. However, instead of grieving he threw himself into his work, perhaps as a last-ditch effort to preserve his father's legacy. One year later, when the Genesis Protocol was made public, Masamune couldn't help but suspect that its existence played some role in the attack that caused his parents' death, but he had no way of knowing for certain, and that uncertainty would keep him up at night for years to come.

Post-announcement, it was not long before he was sought out for his skill and expertise in robotics. When the fate of humanity heavily depended on such machines, apparently it made you an invaluable asset. He eventually accepted the offer on the grounds that he would be allowed to work with Katsuyuki. Following the terrorist attack, the brothers had grown close once again, relying on each other more than ever before, and Masamune refused to lose any more of his family. Even it came to this, leaving the only planet they'd ever called home, Masamune thought he could bear it so long as his brother was at his side.

Code Word: All the pineapples

Player Name: Raxacoricofallapatorius

Character Name: Katsuyuki Isogai

Character Age: 31

Character Gender: Male

Appearance: 5'9" and 157 lbs. Katsuyuki is comparably healthier-looking than his twin brother. In contrast, his face always bears a pleasant expression and his demeanor is far more gentle and patient. He seems to put some effort into his appearance when he's not working, and maintains a professional air about himself at all times.

Profession: Programming Technician

Nationality: Nagasaki Conglomerate

Strengths:
- Extremely intelligent with an uncanny ability to memorize things, he also recently acquired a cybernetic implant for the purpose of expanding the capacity of his mind. The thing was relatively simple compared to other implants, and was designed solely to store specific text, code, and algorithms which might be useful to him while working on the Vitae. So far, however, he hasn't had to use it.
- Patient and persistent when solving difficult problems, Katsu approaches everything with the attitude of "There is always an answer, I just need to discover it." He's been known to be quite creative in his solutions.
- Good people-skills, he's always been a likeable person.
- Honest, but not to the same degree as Masamune's complete tactlessness. He will speak his mind when necessary, but also knows that being too honest will rub some people the wrong way.

Weaknesses:
- Too quick to forgive/too trusting, always giving others the benefit of the doubt has let him down more than once in the past.
- Too dependent on Masamune, who he thinks of as the stronger version of himself.
- Not good at making decisions, especially in critical situations he is very reluctant to make judgement calls, especially when those calls may affect others in some way.
- Overly-optimistic, it can be a good and bad thing depending on the situation.

Personal Effects: Katsu has always been sentimental, and keeps a few old family photo albums among other personal keepsakes. He has a small bookshelf filled with old textbooks and a few novels. Other than this he's quite the minimalist.

Bio: If you've read Masamune's story then you already know a good portion of Katsu's. Being the younger twin (only by three minutes!) Katsu had only experienced the weight of the expectations placed on his brother second-hand. Since the cradle he had been quite attached to Masamune, and nothing broke his heart more than watching his brother slowly move on without him. It was especially difficult in their teenage years, which was the time Masamune most hated how much they looked alike. Katsu wanted nothing more than to simply make his brother happy, and so while Masamune kept his hair cut short Katsu let his grow long. He hoped that maybe if they looked different enough then Masamune wouldn't hate him so much.

While Masamune was the natural heir, Katsu was a literal genius. He took to textbooks like a fish takes to water and everything he read, he remembered. He did not share Masamune's curiosity about the way the world worked, and instead became fascinated by how he himself worked and related to everything around him. This trait complimented his extroverted personality quite well; he had many friends and everyone who met him took an instant liking to him. He, too, graduated early but spent twice as many years studying in university as Masamune, changing his major more than 12 times and ending up with three degrees in the end: Computer Science, Advanced Programming, and Artificial Intelligence. He might have stayed in school indefinitely if not for the Genesis Protocol.

In regard to their parents' death, Katsu mourned for an appropriate amount of time. For a while it seemed as if he would drown in his grief, and if it weren't for Masamune reaching out to him once again he may not have had the will to live through the end of the year. Within that same year he eventually returned to his usual optimistic self, though there was still a sadness behind his smile that would linger for a long time.

What Masamune doesn't know is that Katsu was actually recruited by the Genesis Protocol first and accepted on the condition that his brother would also be offered a position, ignorant of Katsu's role in the selection. He attempted to make the same negotiation for his sister, but it was too much to ask for. She would fill one of the cryo chambers allotted to family members. Katsu also made an attempt to contact their long lost older brother, but it was in vain. With no other immediate family, it seemed the remaining chambers would go unfilled.

Player Name: obisemkenobi
Character Name: Nick Simons
Character Age: 35
Character Gender: Male
Appearance:
Profession: Head of the Investigorial Branch of Security
Nationality: Roslin Federation

Strengths:
-Charismatic. Not in a big playboy kind of way, but he’s just generally a nice guy who has a way with people.
-Pragmatic. He sees the simple solutions. He doesn’t generally overthink things and provides the simple alternative when other (smart) people do.
-Fit. He’s not a soldier, but he’s had basic training and knows his way in a fight. He is healthy and in shape.
-Strong-willed. Or maybe just headstrong. He won’t give up easy. Has the guts to match too.
-Literate. His wife managed to awaken an interest in him for English Literature. It is one of the few academic areas that he does know a thing or two about.
-A good investigator. He’s not Sherlock Holmes, but it’s what he does and he does it well. He will go to great lengths to discover the truth.

Weaknesses:
-His biggest weakness is that compared to the other people on the ship he is very much an average civilian. He’s not as smart as the smart people and not as capable as the soldiers. When the smart people talk, he will most likely not understand half of what they’re saying and when the soldiers fight he will easily be outmatched. He is very much an average Joe.
-He operates within the lines of red tape, but can get frustrated by them. Cases need to be solved, not hindered by technicality. He plays by the rules, but that doesn’t mean he has to like them.
-Having said that, he trusts the system with a certain naiveté that will easily get him in trouble if someone tries to frame him. He may not like the rules, but he will always play by them. Even if that system fails him.

Personal Effects:
-A picture of his wife and son.
-An e-reader with most of the classics of English Literature.
-A Bible.
-A gun and badge.
-A few copies of paintings by Van Gogh (Starry Night, Self Portrait with a Grey Felt Hat and Almond Blossom).
-A comfortable chair and couch.
-A bed and a nightstand.

Bio:
“Nick, I don’t see what the problem is. You’ve been given an amazing opportunity. You get to move out of that shithole district you’ve been trapped in for the last few years and police a space ship harbouring mankind’s last hope. Most people would consider it an honour!”

“I do, but that’s just it. I think we both know why I ended up on the top of your list and I won’t have it. I don’t want to be the one who got on that ship because he made nice with the president. A position this important should have the most qualified people manning it, not the one with the biggest social network.”

“I agree and I assure you that I wouldn’t have chosen you if I thought there was anyone better suited. That case where you saved the president’s daughter made you end up on my desk. Do you know how many files I’ve had on my desk Nick? Trust me, you’re the man for the job. You passed all your tests didn’t you?”

“Of course I did, but surely there are other people who performed better than me. I’m nobody special sir, I’m good at what I do, but nothing that makes me more qualified for this job than any other.”

“Alright, let’s take a look at your file then shall we? You were born to Dutch parents so you’ve survived through extreme circumstances up until the age of eight. After your parents moved to the Roslin Federation you quickly caught up with the school system and managed fine through most of your basic education.

When you were fifteen years old the Three Day War broke loose and cost you your parents. You saved some civilians during the attack making you somewhat of a local hero. Considered old enough to live by yourself you were given limited allowance by the state, but didn’t let that stop you from finishing high school. Afterwards you successfully graduated from the police academy with practically every certificate and elective you could get your hands on. You were accepted into the local police force and quickly rose to the rank of chief.

Meanwhile you somehow managed to woo the lovely miss Sarah Rosenthal, a researcher praised by several major universities and with an IQ of 164, resulting in a surprisingly happy marriage. Continuing on with a spotless record nobody noticed because your district was small and insignificant, you solved almost eighty percent of all cases, almost none of which had to be reopened later.
Five years later your wife and four-year old son die in a car accident. You understand Nick, that most people that ended up on my desk had an experience like this, but none of them had the sense to take a year off duty and get help. In that year you have acquired the help of a certified psychologist and have been confirmed visiting a great number of support groups. You recovered and got faith in yourself again.”

“With all due respect, sir, I got the Faith back again. Not in myself, but in something higher. There’s a big difference there.”

“Whatever you want to call it, it showed that you can swallow your pride where most would swallow a double whiskey. You bounced back. That whole case where you found the people who kidnapped the president’s daughter is peanuts compared to that. You may not think of yourself as exceptional, Nick, but you happened to have lived a life that perfectly trained you for the position I’m offering you. You’re a survivor, familiar with barren circumstances, charismatic, as good an investigator as any and you don’t give up. Not to mention the fact that you know how to deal with smart people. That’s why I chose you Nick. With stakes like this I assure you I don’t give two farts in space about getting friendly with the president. So will you take the job, or are you gonna force me to enlist someone less qualified?”
