Not a true Lon'Qu

Gonna bring him into town in my next post.
Better question would be where is Mikey?
You do realize full plate armor only weighs like, fifty pounds right? That's heavy, but most people can still wear it since the weight is distributed around your body (don't expect bad ass swordsman or a fast runner though), partial plate, however, is more reasonable for someone who wants to be a skillful swordsman, as would scale mail (though it isn't as good as plate). As for chain mail, that crap is ridiculously hard to make and therefore prohibitively expensive, which is why generally only the rich folk wear it.
And that's my quick lesson on armors diluted from a couple essays I read and some quick google searches to fact-check what I remembered.
Anyway.
I got my first job :D
Exciting~!
Also, @Caits good luck on whatever tests you said you would be taking.
Also hello to all the people that have joined that I haven't said anything to yet! Some of you have probably been around since magic council though, since I never talk to anyone anyway.

I'm fully aware of how armor works, but chain is also considerably lighter than plate and a good choice for someone learning to use a sword.
Just a heads up, I will probably be out most of the weekend. I may not be on next week either. Got some stuff going on and need a break as well.

Thanks for the warning.

On armors, magic could make the armor feel lighter than it should, and/or increase the strenght of the wearer, thus allowing more agility and speed then normal.
However, the biggest downside to plate armor, is not the weight, but its movement restriction. If wearing a helmet, your field of view is greatly hindered, and the plate itself is hard to move in. You can't lift your arm as far as usual, or move your legs around as easily ect.

That sight hinderince is a huge thing to Cody actually, his magic pretty much depends on his field of vision (it's the major factor, there are a few minors ones which also have a big influence).
In fact movement constriction was something Cody wanted to avoid as well, another big factor of his magic is reflex/reaction speed and movement speed. So plate armor was pretty much always out of the equation. (The other factors are pretty much time, distance, magical power
So that was probably a factor in @Zarkun choosing chainmail. Also Cody still has a largish sum of jewels from his foster parents before their death (he was in a rich family you know) and taking odd jobs, so price isn't a huge factor (as long as it doesn't cost like a 1,000,000,000 jewels or something stupid XD).
@Zarkun I will be posting for Isabella somewhat soon. I'm just a tad busy getting some stuff together for another RP atm.
