"Excuse me for a moment," Ayeka says as she nods back at Alex. To her Alex had a rough day with the events and with men. She hopes a man notices her instead of getting a pass from men for searing drinks. She walks over to the guy dress in black before going to talk to the newest girl if she needed anything.

Willow looked at Ayeka and smirked at her. She didn't make any attempt at conversation, she simply didn't feel like it and it took so much energy. She never started conversations anymore, though she would participate in one if she must, to be civil or to make the closest thing she could call a friend... and so she waited to see what this girl would do.

"Hello," Rowdy said with a nod. "Do you happen to have Mountain Dew here?"
He quietly made note of the woman who had made her way into the tavern. She seemed to know the place well, Maybe she used to work here, or was a regular patron of the place.

Illyria Vane

Roof top

The phoenix looked away from her companion, a certain type of sadness in her eyes. "A genetic line at it's end." She mumbled the sentence, clearly not willing to go any further on the subject. She turned those icy eyes to the elven mage again, devoid of earlier sorrow. "How does a mage end up here?"

Zyrid shifted from his position on his soft purple stool, adjusting his rear over its lush round surface. His hands and wrist rolled on the barside like a wave, picking up his frosted glass as they did, bringing it to his leathery lips.

Such a hurried bustle of souls and fleeting life had surrounded him that the appearance of Alex was a kind relief, the calm at the centre of a splash, her subtle smile as she passed. He saw in her mind that she was interested in him, not in the sporadic and deteriorating manner that most mortals have interest in another - rather an aspect of intrigue and perhaps a hint of lost fear.

Zyrid smiled himself, a moment after Alex had turned her back and started to a table on its own, pushed in the corner. She had missed his reciprocation, though he doubted it would ruin her day in the slightest. In fact, he would be sure to make her day spectacular. He did so with a flick of a thick drawn finger, that flung a wave of air her way.

As she took her seat, provocatively flinging her legs up and around onto the table, a cigarette suddenly in her delicate looking hands, the wisp of air struck the hind legs of her chair. The seat sweeping from beneath her, she fell toward the floor, time stretched across this moment as a person is stretched between their mind and their heart, and after a while her eyes widened.

Her body tensed and prepared, adrenaline or it's organic equivalent pumping forth from its gland, as force pulled her from the air. Her distress was ill placed however, as Zyrid no longer sat upon his stool. In fact, his stool was beneath Alex's body, and she struck it lightly, pressing into the comforting material as she landed.

Zyrid called to her as she found herself upon his tool, her original seat striking the ground with a shrieking crack, he smiled wildly, widely, wisely. She was confused in this instant, but the beauty of confusion is the absense of right and wrong, and morale grey was often funny - at least to Zyrid.

"Is this what people do around here, steal others stools?"

Alex looked down, bewildered. She was no stranger to this type of thing, but it was sudden and very much unexpected. She assumed her day was going to finish on a constant rush of excitement.

"Is this what people do around here, steal others stools?"

She looked up to the culprit, Zyrid, and smiled her signature smile with a hint of devious calculation."I suppose it is." Looking behind her at the chair, she asked, "What was wrong with that chair? It was fine to me." She let out a small laugh and looked back uo to Zyrid. Watching his eyes flicker in anticipation and a hint of desire. Anticipation of what though, she wonders. For a moment she considers finding out for herself, but she had made the decision to keep that part of her dormant unless it was needed. Her power was often a burden, even if it has helped more than it has hurt.

She realized that she had been staring at Zyrid for an extended amount of time, so she turned to the glass in her hand and took a swig.

"Yes, we do. I will bring it in a minute." Ayeka says as she looks at the women who did not to talk to her. "Can I get you anything to eat or drink?" Ayeka ask as she waits for a answer. Her ears twitches as she heard a thump and thought it is someone messing around in a drunk enough matter. She guess some more trouble is going to start soon.

What was this Zyrid sensed? A burst of light, a spectrum of deep colours that wavered on the edge of Alex's being. A near aura like presence that brough confusion to his brow and a drip to his lips, his eyes narrowed for a moment.

She flirted, despite her obvious restraint, she seemed to be open for a relationship. Not, of course, that type of relationship which is commonly assumed. It was always hard for Zyrid to express his feelings and thoughts through mortal vocabulary, translations never quiet fitted. He knew himself however, that he only meant she was open to the new and the interesting - both of which Zyrid was.

New perhaps less so, but that is a vast and technical conversation that he was not willing to begin with himself at this time, he was too busy admiring the mortal form. She stared now, and her noticing this made her shift attention to a drink. A tough drink it looked too, simple and to the point.

Not unlike Zyrid was as he spoke to her.

May I join you? I like your company.

He was already prepared to conjure up another stool for him to sit upon, the chair on the floor was now gone as he clicked his fingers, returned behind the bar somewhere, unclear where. Either way it was out of the way, and it at least helped to clean the mark it had made, so he did so with a glance.

Zyrid no longer smiled widely, only slightly, elation fading into a fair acceptance of personality and reality in respect to Alex. He saw her power and her life, but he also saw her smile and felt comfortable in her presence - a rare trait for any mortal Zyrid has met.

He was sure they would get along proudly, as the sky and sea do at sunset.

Alex shifted in her seat a bit before Zyrid spoke in a voice that was smooth, likely made of velvet or soft like silk. Either way it was a voice worthy of melting into.

May I join you? I like your company.

He seemed awkwardly unfamiliar with talking to people, but Alex didn't mind. "Sure, have a seat, or make one." She laughed slightly and gestured across the table. She noticed a comfortable feeling that lingered in their conversation. His presence seemed to improve her mood and keep a slight smile on her face. She wondered about her own attraction to him. He was a handsome spectacle but she didn't know where she stood in that aspect. Only time could tell.

A concerned look crossed Koru's face when she looked back at him without a trace of the sadness she had just shown. Deciding it would be better not to press her further on the subject for now he thought on what other things he could ask to help, he angled his book to better face the calm air in the night so that it may dry quicker.

"How does a mage end up here?" an odd question, most people didn't ask about Koru, they would just spin him a story and hope he left them alone. A light poke against the markings on his pages informed him that it was too early to close half a book on the page to go searching for the answer, with no attempt to hide his discomfort Koru looked back on what he hoped where the past few days.

"I'm..." he started hoping the rest would role off his tongue without having to remember anything, but nothing came. They sat in silence for a few moments when Koru began to shudder, his rick mahogany skin turned to a pail birch, his face now one of complete panic, his breathing becoming and the branches of surrounding tree's swayed more violently as if they where trying to reach the small mage on the roof.

Clearly not caring if the ink was dry or not Koru clawed at the pages looking for his last entry, skimming it quickly everything slowed down. The tree's turned to their lazy waving in the night breeze, color all slowly returned to his face, however hes breathing was still labored and the shuddering just became less frequent.

"...Lost" he sighed holding his tomb close to him "I'm wounder from town to town, looking for detraction's" sheepishly he looked up at the raven haired girl "What's your name?"

Willow's smile grew, and so she talks, she thought to herself. She tried not to snap at the girl who had done nothing wrong to her at this point, "Some cinnamon whiskey mixed with cola and a slice of chocolate cake if you have it? If not, then no food thank you," She said pleasantly, tapping the table absentmindedly. She was watching everyone else at this point, more interested in what they were doing with their lives than anything happening in hers. She was so concentrated on overhearing others conversations, that her hair shimmered and a blue/purple colour ran out from her scalp, staining the rest of her hair.

Ayeka nods and walks to the bar then enters the kitchen. She ask the cook to cut her a slice of chocolate cake as she pours a glass of Moutain Dew. She puts the glass of Moutain dew and cake on a platter and walks back to the bar. She sits the platter on the counter as she makes a cinnamon whiskey with cola. She stirs the drink to it looks good. Ayeka puts the second drink on the platter. She walks over to Willow , she puts the cake and drink on the table. She walks over to th guy wearing black and sits the glass of Moutain Dew on his table.

Willow grinned, a glimmer of mischief in her eyes. She calmly drank some of her cinnamon whiskey and coke and started to dig into the cake. It was a brilliant cake, poorly decorated, but delicious all the same. She got into her head that she might have a work with the cooks about how the eyes taste first, not necessary, but always a nice touch.
The cake was gone in a matter of minutes and the whiskey followed soon after. Still, she was hungry, so she slipped into the kitchen and nabbed the rest of the cake from which the slice came from. No one will miss this.. much... she thought as she quietly took it back to her rooms to scoff it up in privacy.

Zyrid bent his legs, leaning his back into an arched stretch before he found himself sat upon an identical stool to the one Alex sat upon. The stool shivered once and then lay dormant, for this stool was his mimic companion, and of course a comfy seat. He rolled up his sleeves delicately, turning the leather and silk in the same motion, leaving a slight trim of silk at his elbow when he finished. Sipping once more from his glass, he felt the drink seep through his body and caused his eyes to flare once more.

At that Zyrid let out a great sigh of relief and push back his hair behind his ears. It had been a long while since he indulged on such mortal treasures as this, and a little while longer since he had a proper conversation with anyone but himself or a book. There are some books that can hold interesting conversation, though their enchanted nature proves to be a rigid master, leaving their responses repetitive and frustrating with time.

However, he had high hopes for this one sat opposite him, she seemed to be different. Though, admittedly, most material dwelling planoids are a unique variation in some manner. It was the internal flame of magic that interested him, suppressed but all the more powerful. Of course, it did not compare to the Gods or Zyrid himself, but those were tall orders indeed. He would be sure to uncover the source at whatever cost.

"So, Alex, tell me abut yourself."

Zyrid smiled complacently and looked almost to temper his drinking glass as he tapped his ring finger against it over and over, he looked into the females eyes and then at the space around him and then at his drink, switching focus so at not to seem rude. Eyes were important conveyors of interest and thus emotion. He was undoubtedly interested in her life story, in everyone's really, but he knew from personal experience that staring at someone is not the way to go about getting answers.

Rowdy nodded to the waitress in thanks, and put a couple of gold pieces on the table. Ah, Mountain Dew. Now he could think clearly. He didn't remember how he had stumbled into this tavern, and all that seemed to resonate from the recent past was a fight he was in, and even that was a sore remberance. His powers over electricity didn't do him too well, sadly. He took a slow drink of the beverage.

Knowing nothing of this tavern beforehand didn't aid him in surveying the area. He could see that this place was popular, and hosted many different types of beings, but that was about it. If he needed a quick getaway, it looked like he would have to fight through. Most looked like they were drinking forms of alcohol, though, so the odds if him coming under fire and needing to escape were low, he hoped.

Alex shifted in her seat as she cautiously watched Zyrid settle into his position. His actions indicated he would not be leaving anytime soon, and Alex was grateful for the company. Zyrid did not seem like the type of man to be annoying, aggravating or someone to start trouble. He was sophisticated and eloquent, even if he did seem a bit socially inept. Zyrid let out a relieving sigh and tucked away his hair behind his ear. Alex took a moment to see the beauty in his structure. A sharp jaw and defined cheekbone with soft eyes and smooth skin. No scars that she could see, almost as if he had never been in any type of conflict. Or just some healing power, anything possible this place. Alex found herself staring again and she was quite lost in her own thought. So lost in fact, that she almost missed Zyrid speaking to her.

"So, Alex, tell me abut yourself."

Her eyes shifted to the floor. She spoke as if she was still searching for her answer in the soft wood grain of the Tavern floor.
"Well, what do you want to know?"
She said as she looked up to meet Zyrids eyes. His stare was palpable and intense. Here was someone that was genuinely interested in her life, something she has been waiting for for w long time, and she couldn't muster a single interesting thing about herself. Something like how her cat is named "Toast" because if his insufferable love for toast or how she's basically a spy for her own planets government. There's nothing worse than having been asked that question and not having anything to say.

Zyrid held his eyes upon Alex's, she seemed to compress an urge as he watched, or perhaps she was pushing against a mental wall of some kind. Stuck, definitely stuck in something. Perhaps it was the viscous flow of thought that had caught her up in its stream, her mind fogged in his vision as the energy within her swayed away from her mind in the universes breeze. He smiled as she replied with her own question, as defensive as he had suspected it would seem.

"Tell me anything of everything. Or nothing at all!"

Zyrid laughed heartily at the strangeness of his own statement.

She could truly ask him to leave the subject null, he would mind not. It was simply his interest to increase his knowledge of life, it need not be as scientific and factual as the books he most often drowned in, her experiences and opinions would be suitable for his appetite. She was awkward it seemed, so he stopped staring and drank again, leaning back and taking a more relaxed and open stance, he knew in himself he was not the master of social interaction on a fling - least of all with someone relatively unknown.

"Tell me anything of everything. Or nothing at all!"

He laughed at his question and Alex chuckled a bit at him. She had always been a closed off person, but he made her want to write out her autobiography to him. There was so much in her life that she would never talk about to anyone else. Maybe he would be a good person to confide in, she ponders how it could work out. On the bright side, BFFs. On the not-so-bright side, they never talk again. Alex wouldn't even know where to start with her life. The beginning is the most obvious place, but it's probably a little weird to talk about your birth with almost a complete stranger.

She decided on a neutral response, and if he was really curious he would catch on to her.

"My life is pretty boring, I'm sure you wouldn't want to hear about it."

She straightened her back and crossed her arms, smirking slightly, but not enough to let him know just how much she was taunting him.

Of all the things Zyrid wouldn't want to hear about, it was most certainly not Alex's story, her life. He would much prefer it over a Garituan poem of hardship, notorious for its monotone approach to conveying the already boring life of a Garit. He would, without a doubt, prefer her voice depicting a picture of experience over the tic tacking of a universal message of warning that his family were to meet in the next galactic convergence.

No, Zyrid would not allow her to slip away so easily, he would not leave his seat until he at least knew her place of birth, or maybe even her childhood.

"I insist, please. I am not afraid to be trusted in, neither am I reproachful of being denied access to your memory." Zyrid spoke with Alex's mind.

It made things more intimate, in a strange, probing manner.

"Reveal what you wish. I ask only that you tell me to be gone with the idea of knowing such things if you wish not for me to know, such things..."

He often found these conversations strange, not least because he heard his voice echoe between space and its echoing disoriented him so. Alex would likely handle the experience fine, though she would likely feel a rush as her mind decoded each syllable and sentence in a fraction of a second - unnervingly fast in comparison to conversation via vibrations.

[Outside]

Carver swayed forward, squinting. That's not a tree.

Beer goggles could not hide its distinctive wooden texture. It loomed before him, dizzyingly large. He lurched to the right and vomited, then continued stumbling forward. He thought he could hear voices in the background, mangled with the ringing in his ears. The door was within sight when he collapsed forward and blacked out.
