@lovely complex Out of interest, would it be common knowledge who'd been selected for the tournament at this point?

If not, then would the participants themselves be aware of who else was competing before the meeting?

@Lasrever Every participant received an email. The students could have very well used the moment they received the email, to spread that they were in it, or they could have chosen to keep it to themselves.

Ellie wouldn't say anything until she arrived. The contestants would be posted on a bulletin after this meeting.

@Thundercrash My thoughts exactly! And I am a tad bit evil to my hero characters :P Brenna's just been through so much I'd feel bad giving her anything tougher than a good ol' love triangle. Not that she's completely safe from my wickedness. I expect her to go through some tough shit, soon too. But I want Will and Avalon to be bombarded by shitty things, so that they question why their heroes, and wonder if their really and truly prepared to deal with everything that comes with that.

How are the fights actually being picked, anyway? I'm curious.

I've not got any specific match-ups in mind personally, but I've got an idea of the type of people I'd like to see my characters take on, if that makes sense.
