Annoyance grew inside her as the man remained seated in front of her. The man still didn't want to fucking leave. The way he offered her coffee, the way he pestered her not to be 'grumpy', and the way he smiled at her was all so taunting! UGH. Did this guy think she was playing around? Did he think that she wasn't serious with the murderous look he was stabbing into him? The smile he had implied to her that he was getting some kind of sick enjoyment out of irritating her. Perhaps this man had come in search of hitting on her, and now finding resistance, found her an irresistible challenge. Whatever this man had going on in his head, Sam wasn't happy about what he was doing.

She fumed at his attempts to be friendly, making the ridiculous argument that they didn't even have to talk to each other. Besides being plain silly, social interaction wasn't even what this was about anymore. It was the fact that this was her space, her bubble, and his polluting presence in it was unwelcome -- scratch that, not just unwelcome, despised.

When he relented a little, trying to make the situation less tense by saying he wasn't interested in her number, just interested in talking, her eyes flared. Oh! So it was about him hitting on her! She could see right through the ploy he had displayed. She could see him struggling to pull her in. He hoped that once he pulled her in with some kind of half-baked conversation that she would, in fact, give him her number. The heat in the small booth rose even further. It was very clear now. It was as if the hot, 100 degree summer weather outside had penetrated the establishment, unfazed by AC. Sam, however, was unaware of it.

Samantha fumed at the man until he was done speaking. It was only after a long silence following what he said did she begin to move. Slowly, menacingly, she straightened her posture and then leaned threateningly across the table. She locked her smoke eyes with his green yet purple ones. Sam wished to pierce his soul with her stabbing glare as she towered over the table. Her hands pressed into the table, making her look even more dangerous, as if she would propel herself to attack him at any moment. The heat would press into the man with even greater strength as well as her intense form. It was then, only after about ten seconds of accomplishing this action of towering and leaning across the table, did she speak, her tone dripping with venom. "Ben," She growled his name, "I tried to be nice, believe it or not." She paused. "Now, I will say it again, but not so nice this time:" She lowered her voice so it was intimately dark and quieter. "Get the fuck away from me," She let that sting a little bit before adding. "and just leave me alone." With that, she slowly lowered herself back into her seat, and despite the change in body position, she still projected a challenging air.

Samantha had no tolerance for people who vexed her, much less people who wanted in her space. The woman had few friends. She liked it that way and she intended to keep it that way.

Suprised to discover that Nova did in fact play League, Xhen grinned from ear to ear. She would have to ask for the girl's username at some point during the meal. "Oh man, I hope you feel better tonight," she responded worriedly. Observing her take out a laptop, Xhen smiled and rounded the table to sit beside Nova. "Oh my gosh! If you're gonna play I want to watch. You know it's best to learn from someone more experienced than you. I just downloaded the game two weeks ago so I still have a lot to learn," Xhen admitted.

A waiter eventually came by and took note of their orders as well as granting Nova the wifi password. Seeing the girl wip out a $5 bill, Xhen shook her head from side to side. "There's no way I'm accepting that. I told yah it was my treat," she said firmly with a toothy grin as she snatched the money and returned it back into Nova's wallet.

Noticing some commotion between a punkish girl and a black haired man, she gulped and leaned closer to Nova. "I don't think those two are hitting it off very well," she whispered nervously, hoping nothing bad would happen in the diner. Xhen really wanted to enjoy her meal in peace, but definitely couldn't if the couple was going to start a ruckus.

Another pair emerged from the kitchen. Maybe some waiters on break. The aqua haired female looked rather upset and Xhen frowned. Seems like everyone in the diner wasn't doing so well. Monday's always sucked.

The issue that was occurring in front of him was too much for him to handle, especially at such an early hour. The punk bitch didn't seem to get along with the weirdo sitting across from her, especially since she didn't know him. Garrett simply watched the exchange for a few moments, blinking in slight alarm as heat started to flow off of the woman in waves. The sudden warmth only increased in intensity as she got more upset, and for a moment, he thought she was going to leap at the guy. "Listen, if the two of you are going to fight," he grumbled down at them. "Fucking take it outside. I'm not going to get yelled at because of two cunts who decided to kick each other's asses in the middle of the diner."

With an angry scoff, he whirled around, his eyes scanning the diner. The poor man that was waiting for them was still there. "Yo," he called out towards him. "Pretty busy. Just take a seat or whatever and someone will get to you eventually."

Heaving a hefty sigh, he noticed that two new arrivals-- a black-haired woman and a red-haired woman --were looking for a waiter. Garrett walked up to them, pulling out his notepad and huffing slightly. "I apologize for the wait," he didn't sound sincere. "What would you like to eat?"

This was going to be a long day.

"And here's your coffee and orange juice~Pancakes and eggs will be coming out shortly, just give us a few minutes okay~?" Claire issued them their drinks and turned around, passing a particular corner booth when she heard her name. Claire jumped and spun around, immediately recognizing the daughter of the owner.
"Oh Iris, oh my goodness! I'm sorry, I didn't see you there...when did you get here?" She brought out her pad and pen, ready to take down her order. Iris was a familiar face around these parts. But that particular familiar face looked half giddy and half bothered this morning.
Claire frowned in conern, stepping closer and keeping her voice down, her hand on the table. "Are you alright? You don't look too great this morning. Actually, a little pale if I may say so myself. Maybe a little bit of breakfast will make you feel better~! How about pancakes with a little extra syrup, hashbrown potatoes on the side, and a cup of coffee? Rather fulfilling in my opinion." she said, suggesting the warm breakfast. It was actually Claire's favorite go-to breakfast on any rough mornings she faced.

Liam noted the waiter addressing him, and was about to ask about his colleague's purse, when another headache speared through his head. Whoever it was in front of him, he was dangerous. Surprisingly, an unnatural calm fell over Liam as he assessed the other man. He was as tall as he was, but not as muscular. His face was slightly contorted with annoyance, and had already left to wait on a seated pair of diners. Good he was distracted...wait what was he thinking? Forcing those thoughts to the back of his mind, he grinned shakily and tried to get the waiter's attention.

"Uhh, hey it's fine. I'm not here to eat anyways. I'm here looking for one of my coworker's purses. Her name was Amanda? Was about this tall," Liam held a hand up to chin before continuing, "She also had blue highlights in shoulder length brown hair. She said she ordered a strudel and coffee."

"Oh, I haven't been around that long... 15 minutes?" Iris brushed aside Claire's exclamation with a gesture, as if such a wait weren't extremely unusual. She smiled at the girl as she listened, though it became a bit concerned and drawn as Claire fussed over her. Did she really look as... odd as she felt? Would her favorite, rather large breakfast help her feel better?

Well, probably. She'd only had a small snack before heading out, so she would get hungry before lunch time, and she could just have a small lunch (though she knew that she wouldn't keep any such promise to herself). As not to hold up Claire, she kept her response short, though she said it pleasantly as to avoid making her think that she was annoying her. "Actually, that sounds wonderful. Thank you."

She stood as Claire stepped away, and then remembered why she had come in the first place. "Oh, and Claire! Tell my father that I'm here, please?"

She had gotten up for a very specific purpose, and as Garrett stepped away from the literally heated conversation happening on the other side of the restaurant, Iris took his spot, doing her best to look menacing in her short way, arms crossed before her. Still, the two were so engrossed in their discussion that they didn't even notice her until she spoke. "Ma'am, is this creep bothering you?" She started looking at the grumpy (there really wasn't a better word than the one that the man had suggested) lady, but as she spoke, turned to the man, such that she was staring at him with a mildly-displeased expression. "If so, I can have him removed."

The grumpy girl started to get even more mad at Ben, but it only made the 'conversation' more enjoyable to him. As the girl leaned over the table to look him dead in the eye Ben didnt even blink, but calmly looked into hers while still having his smile. Feeling the heat rise up Ben thought something was wrong with the AC, even though the AC was working perfectly, the air was as hot (or maybe hotter) than it is on the outside.
Ben didnt feel like the air was too hot to him. It didnt make him sweat, almost like he adapted to the heat very quickly.

After a bigger pause the girl growled his name in a pretty mad tone "Ben"
, "I tried to be nice, believe it or not." She paused. "Now, I will say it again, but not so nice this time:" Lowering her voice, she said
"Get the fuck away from me, after a short pause she added "and just leave me alone" She than lowered herself in her seat.
After this smaller scene the waiter kindly suggested them to leave the diner:
"Fucking take it outside. I'm not going to get yelled at because of two cunts who decided to kick each other's asses in the middle of the diner."

Just as the waiter was leaving Ben turned at him and said to him in a louder voice so he can hear him. Don't forget the milk!
Turning back at the Punk girl he noticed a short girl stepping to the table. Not really caring about her, but still aware of her presence, Ben said: "You're just mean because you're out of your comfort zone and havent got a chance to drink your first coffee of the day. Just tell me your name." Asking for her name but at the same time knowing that she will get more angry Ben actually wanted to know the Girl's name. Just after some time, the short girl finally spoke. "Ma'am, is this creep bothering you?"
Noticing the way she was speaking a few ideas came to Ben's mind about who this girl could be. Just from the way she talks she could be the manager. Or the Boss' daughter, wich means i wont get my pancakes...
After speaking the Shorty turned to Ben with bad mood and said: "If so, I can have him removed"
This made Ben sure that she was the daughter of the owner of this Diner, she couldn't be anyone else, she looked way too young to own the place.
Well, that just means more trouble

Still not looking intimidated Ben was waiting on the response from the girl in front of him

Samantha hadn't noticed the Mr. Waiter still standing there and when he spoke up about them going outside to fight, the punk girl struggled to hold back a laugh. She lazily turned her eyes to the very stressed, very concerned worker and said, "Hah! No, I don't think that'll happen. Not for my sake, for his." As she said 'for his' her lazy eyes turned aggressively back to the intruder. What her eyes fell upon made her further filled with outrage. The man was still there sitting with his shit-eating grin. It was quite clear to her now that she wasn't just overreacting. This guy was obviously just playing with her, getting amused off of her irritation.

It was at this point he diagnosed the problem as her not having coffee and her being out of her comfort zone and... sure! That might have been it, but she wasn't happy with him psychoanalyzing her. In addition, he wanted her name, as if that was going to solve everything. What was he gonna do, use it to look her up in some yellow pages or whatever? No way. As far as she was concerned, to him her name was first, middle, and last: Go Fuck Yourself. Before the woman came over she shot, "No, I'm 'mean' because I wanted a nice, peaceful breakfast alone and you are ruining it for your own sick entertainment." She quickly added, "You're an asshole."

Now a young woman came up with an air of professionalism and authority. Herself not really one to get along with authority, shrunk a little, afraid she was about to be punished or chastised. Instead, it seemed this woman was on her side. This actually earned a satisfied smile. Someone was actually coming to help her, an ally. However, that didn't make her any less comfortable about other people stepping in on her part. In fact, with the amount of social interaction she was getting, with the people who were gathering and looking over at her table, Sam was starting to feel very claustrophobic. She might put on the aura of being aggressive and dangerous, but her heart beat and breathing would have revealed that she was actually dealing with a great deal of anxiety right now.

She darted her eyes thankfully at the woman who had come to her aid and realized that she had a decision to make. Have him kicked out or have him stay. Now, she was so angry she wanted him to be kicked out, but she didn't want it to be done by some kind of authority. It would feel as if she had lost in some way if that happened. She thought of it and realized, with a sinking feeling, that she wouldn't really win this in a way that made her satisfied. In fact, at this point she was getting very fed up. She realized with great displeasure what she was going to have to do, and in a way it was still losing.

Samantha slammed her hands on the table as she stood up, "You know, fuck it! I'm leaving. You win, asshole!" She paused, and began to glide her hands across the table as if it was some precious item. "This table that you want so badly, you can have it! It's all yours." She picked up the dainty plate in one hand and the coffee cup in another hand. As she began to scoot out of the booth the mug of coffee in her hand, if anyone was paying attention, began to steam furiously and even produce a few boiling bubbles. Sam didn't notice as she said her final words as she departed. "And don't you dare fucking follow me or I will have you kicked out." With this she turned flustered to the other woman who had offered to help, "Thank you, really, but there's no winning with this guy." With that she finally stomped over to an open booth at the complete opposite side of the room in the corner of the restaurant, bringing the heat with her. With a huff she sat down in a way that she was facing away from the guy. Sam didn't want to have to look at him as she ate. It would make her food too unappetizing.

After a moment she finally set her things down. It was when she did this that she realized that the mug she had been holding in her hand was boiling. "Shit!" She exclaimed under her breath before jerking back her hand from the boiling coffee mug. She watched in shock as the mug began melting a ring into the table. She quickly worked to examine her hands for burns, but she found none. Sam just looked utterly shocked at the coffee as the boil began to go down.

Well considering Noelle wasn’t even supposed to be working right now as today she had a afternoon shift because she was just a part timer right now, she also had the time to sit down, though she wondered if this won’t bring trouble to Jason. As he proposed to sit down and have a talk, the ears in her eyes stopped from the surprise. She then only nodded, wiped them out with her sleeve and followed after him.

The dinner was full with people today, but the place seemed to be oh phase basis. Sometimes it was overly full sometimes it was empty. At least Noelle liked to be around people, but today it brought a strain on her nerves out of fear. All she really needed to do harm is for the strange… thing to kick in while she attempts to say something and who knows what could happen.

“I don’t know how or why it happens… last night I was perfectly normal...” Noelle wrote in her notebook, showing it to Jason once they were seated. She made conscious effort to keep her mouth shut this time. She never even realized how habitual speak was until she couldn’t do it no more. She tried to talk all the time before, but that never happened.” I wonder why it’s not affecting you like the rest…” She wrote down, throwing looks around, afraid. Truth was she was expecting the police to burst in here, arrest her in charges of attempting to rob a bank or something…

“They will arrest me, don’t they?” She eventually wrote with trembling fingers. She was wondering if the event was going to make the news tonight…" They will blame me for hurting all those people... I didn't want ... to..." She was trying to write, but her trembling fingers made it difficult. 'What should I do now...?' She thought to herself, relieved that she didn't feel the air stirring at her toughts at least.

"Looks like the first guy was busy. Hm. Oh thanks, sorry, I guess I accidentally gave my order to someone not paying attention."

Ignoring the slight continuity break for the sake of character interaction, Nova looked up at the waiter in front of her with a slight laugh in an attempt to lighten the mood. "I'll have toast with eggs, and a coke. And she's having the hash brown with eggs and sausages. Don't worry about the wait, seems like you're dealing with a bunch of assholes. Also, do you happen to give out the wifi password...?" Alexis looked to the other girl next to her, smiling and putting her wallet back into her bag. "Alright, if you insist,"

Alexis sighed, looking at the other two argue as they did. Seemed like they were getting into a bit of a fight at this point. As amusing as that might be, Alexis somewhat just wanted food at this point. It'd been a while since she saw a good fight, which might have been one of the last days of her High School senior year. Maybe she just got into some bad spaces, nowadays she didn't see that much. People change, that's probably the reason behind it.

She shook her head, though, avoiding saying more due to not knowing Xhen's reaction to her provoking a fight. She really didn't know what was going over there, though the two of them seemed to disperse after the waiter had came over to their table. "I admit, some people need to chill out though... Dunno if I'll be playing though, I'd rather not have to deal with 300 ping."The red-haired girl spoke, hoping not to be overheard either of them. You never know what might happen in situations like this. She didn't worry that much, but she'd just rather avoid it.

Opening her laptop, she plugged in her headphones into the side, with the laptop already on and lightning up from standby. Her desktop wasn't all too cluttered, various folders on one side but a lot of shortcuts on the left side, despite Steam being open at the bottom. She just got used to where things were. She pulled her phone out of her pocket, checking the time, before directing her attention to Xhen. "I can show you my streams at some point to show you around. Or I could teach you at some point this weekend." The offer was 100% honest, as she figured that might be a good way to start getting some more stable, gaming friend around this area.

As he leaned back in his seat, taking a large swig of the piping hot coffee, it was quite hard for Jason not to notice the rather...loud and obnoxious situation going on on the other side of the room. Seemingly, there was a guy that didn't know when to quit when it came to social interactions, although the girl he was talking to seemed to be unnecessarily rude and annoyed. Although, Jason guessed he could understand why. With the migraine he had when he woke up, he probably would have snapped at the first person who bothered him this morning. Thankfully, it had abated whenever he had bumped into Noelle. Screaming at her wouldn't have felt satisfying.

As he turned his attention back towards Noelle, he noticed her scribbling, once again, in her notebook. It was quite amusing, actually, now that he'd heard her voice for the first time...in a mental, spacey sort of way. It was quite soothing to listen to, if you could ignore the tremors it filled the air with. “I don’t know how or why it happens… last night I was perfectly normal...” She wrote, and Jason stared blankly at the paper for a moment, his brain lagging behind once he realized something very important. Last night, he was perfectly normal, as well. And then...he awoke with a terrible headache, and easily performed a death-defying maneuver - something he had quickly realized wasn't, in fact, adrenaline. And even now, he could feel the air around him, as if he was sitting in front of a fan...and yet, his hair wasn't flying around. It was getting dizzying, now that he actively focused on it.

So into his thoughts as he were, Jason didn't notice that Noelle was writing once again until he heard the sound of pen against paper. ” I wonder why it’s not affecting you like the rest…” Well, he had a theory...but he kept quiet, waiting for her to finish writing. Buy the sound of the pen, she was beginning to get scared again, and the next words on the paper confirmed this.

“They will arrest me, won’t they?” They couldn't. For one, they had absolutely no proof that she had created all of the chaos - the government wasn't made to deal with...unnatural scenarios such as those, so the policemen of a sleepy town like this one definitely wouldn't know what to make of it all. There was only a very small chance of it being traced back to her. Jason may have been a Philosophy major, but he had to take a few Criminal Justice classes to get where he was. If push came to shove, he'd do what he could.

"They will blame me for hurting all those people... I didn't want ... to..." Her fingers were trembling badly. It truly hurt to see the normally happy-looking girl like this...whatever was happening had to be freaking her out. She probably felt alone...Shit, he really didn't know how to deal with sad and afraid girls.

"Noelle, look at me." Jason said lowly, yet strongly, laying a hand on her own pen-gripping fist, to stop her from writing and thinking of all the worst-case scenarios. "They won't blame you, trust me. Look, I don't know what's happening...but you're not alone." He took a breath, crystal blue eyes turning dull as he prepared to tell her about what had happened this morning.

"This morning, I had a shitstorm of a migraine. On my way out of my apartment, I blacked out, and when I woke up, I was falling over the edge of a flight of stairs." He was talking calmly and quietly, but despite how in-control and cool-headed Jason seemed most of the time, his breath hitched for a second. "I thought I was dead...but then, I felt the wind billowing around me, like it was...protecting me. I landed on one hand, right before I could smash my skull in. My wrist should have snapped, but it didn't. And...I think I flipped at least a dozen feet in the air, before I landed on the ground. Not a scratch on me." Damn, it felt really good to get that off of his chest.

"Thing about it, I was perfectly normal last night, too." He let out a breath after his little spiel, leaning back. As his heartbeat returned to normal, Jason felt the wind around him began to calm down, whereas earlier, it uncontrolled and wild. Cautiously, like a baby taking it's first step, Jason 'prodded' the wind...and a breeze rushed into his coffee mug, knocking it clean off the table.

He barely caught it with his fingertips.

The Darkwell Cafe

She giggled and it wasn't that kind of giggle that said, 'omg he's weird why won't he leave me alone', it was more of a 'huh this guy is kinda funny' giggle, which was much better. Of course he'd had experience with both so he would know the difference. "Cool sounds good, I'll have-" he put his menu down and turned to order only to find that there was no waiter patiently waiting for him. "Eh, to wait for a waiter I guess." He said cheerily, seemingly not all dissuaded. His attention was then brought to the sudden heat he felt against his back, like he was near a burner that had been left on. He turned curiously and saw a beautiful redhead glowering death daggers at the somewhat average guy sitting next to her, what's more some short girl popped, joining in menacing the poor guy. Honestly Aliron was one step away from chanting fight, fight, fight, but he had a feeling that if he did he'd get a real close face-to-face with those nice looking boots of the redhead's. Plus that short girl looked oddly sure of herself for some reason. The waiter by them seemed to not care about the potential danger there and went to deal with other things. Of course things escalated anyway and angry chick stomped away to find a different table.

Apparently this place wasn't usually this busy. Guess this was kind of a bad day to come in. Ah well, maybe he could snag a job here if they were understaffed. Aliron leaned back and glanced around the cafe, huh, guess it did look pretty full. And it only looked like there were like one waiter doing stuff. Maybe the others were smooching or playing games in the back or something. For some reason the stupid little voices were louder now. And they seemed like they were... Coming from people. Odd. In particular he can tell that something was off about that guy trapped between the two women. He was different. A glimpse of that purple appeared again, only this time it wasn't at the corner of his vision, it was centered on that guy. Aliron was about to go over and find out what was the matter with him when he heard a faint voice. Only this time it was actual words not odd meaningless creepy whispers! He stood up and walked towards the voice, lugging suitcase with him: taking a seat next to the two people in the booth and staring at the blue-haired girl, the voice had felt female after all. However that worked. "You're the one the keeps making the voices! Right?!" He asked, not quite accusingly, more excited that he'd found the cause of them. It meant he wasn't crazy, it just meant... Something else. Hm.

Eventually, it seemed like one of the waiters noticed the commotion and promptly approached the male and female. Hearing bits and pieces of the argument, Xhen deduced that the guy was a weirdo that just wouldn't leave the girl to eat in peace. A cringe dawned on her face, but she was happy when the waiter tended to their table next. He sounded totally out of it and she was glad that Nova said her order for her. Keeping an eye on the bickering pair, another shorter female joined the fight and looked to be standing up for the punkish girl. By her words, Xhen could tell she held a significant role in the diner. Eventually, the pissed woman stood up and left to go sit at another booth. Xhen prayed to God that the creepo wouldn't follow or else she may be prodded to get involved.

Returning her attention to Nova, she kinda pouted that the girl didn't want to play at the diner but it made sense since she was totally right about the crappy ping rate. "We should play at my workplace across the street. My boss just recently purchased Google Fiber so we should have it installed by next week!" She suggested eagerly. "Oh my gosh! I'd love to watch your stuff! Hey, I live in Queen's apartments near here. You can totally come over on the weekend and we can have a girls night~!" Xhen exclaimed, giddy with excitement at the thought of making her first real friend in Darkwell.

Soon enough, their food arrived and Xhen quickly grabbed her utensils and dove in. The hash browns were nice and crisp and the sausages were juicy. "This is so good.." she groaned in content as her eyes rolled up in exaggeration.

The Punk girl stood up and slammed her hands on the table as she did and said: "You know, fuck it! I'm leaving. You win, asshole!" She paused, and began to glide her hands across the table than continued "This table that you want so badly, you can have it! It's all yours." She picked up the dish and her coffee and left to the other side of the diner.
Ben seeing that the girl actually had no choice but to leave, felt like he was kind of an asshole. Wich he was at that moment.

Dont know why, but it just felt good to kind of break someone who looked stronger than the rest... maybe i shouldnt trust my gut anymore when it comes to talking with people.
After thinking for a moment Ben reached to his backpack to roll a cigarette for himself, not minding the shorty at the table he quickly rolled a cig in his backpack. It was a very nicely rolled one, But he forgot to put in a filter. This rarely happens to him because he's been rolling for 3 years now. Noticing his mistake he put the filterless cigarette on the table and made a new one in the matter of seconds. He then apologized to the shorty for the inconvinience and stood up with his backpack on his shoulder and both cigarettes in his hand.
"Sorry for being trouble, i guess im just too tired today. leaving the restaurant he went to the same direction as the punk girl was.

As he was walking trough the restaurant the others could feel a slight chill, like someone has when they're in the presence of someone dangerous. Even though he wasnt really any danger. It could bring fear to a weakened mind.

As he approached her. He offered her a cigarette as something like an apology
"Hey, sorry for bothering you again, i just wanted to apologize for being an asshole. He streched his left hand with the two cigarettes towards the girl who seemed to have a very hot coffee. She could see that one of them doesnt have a filter.

Arriving at the table
Ben was expecting the girl to take one of the cigarettes at least and still tell him to go to hell. After he made his apology if the girl would look at him, she could feel a menacing aura just oozing out of him. Just from looking at Ben people could see the difference in his behavior.

She hardly heard what the strange young man had to say, blanking out as she stared at the television screen. There was a news segment about cute little puppies prancing about and how about having a puppy or kitten would lower your blood pressure. Whitney couldn't deny such a statement-- she always wanted a cute pooch bouncing around all the place. But... it was weird. Just moments ago, the news channel was talking about a killing, and now they were talking about how having something cute and soft would make you live longer. New stations are weird...

When she turned to look back at the new face, she realized he was gone. Whitney blinked in surprise, wondering where he went, before she rested her eyes on the issue occurring behind her seat. Since when did so many people get there? And apparently, there was a huge argument between two people, as she could tell by the sight of the angry red-headed woman and the nonchalant man in the other booth. For a moment, she cursed herself about missing all the action. If she had heard, maybe she could have learned some juicy comebacks.

@Eklispe

After serving the two women, Garrett turned his attention back to the man at the doorway. At least he was patient enough to not call out to him, or cause any other issues. With another of his drawn out sighs, he made his way over, blinking at the mention of someone losing a purse. The person who lost such an item had ordered a strudel and coffee... he was sure that he had seen such a person earlier in the diner. "Well, I didn't serve anyone that looked like that," he answered him blandly, staring at the new face with a deep frown. "But I can check the back to see if they put it to the side."

He spun on his heel and walked to the back room. A cough, along with a string of curses, left his lips as soon as he entered it. Garrett waved the gathering dust in front of his nose, sniffing and shuffling around the room as he struggled to locate the lost bag. Luckily, he found the purse-- it was shoved into a box with other lost objects, forgotten long ago. He tucked the purse under his arm and made his way out of the room, approaching the man. "Here," he grumbled, sniffing again as he felt the inside of his nostrils become irritated. Was something burning, or was it just him?

"Oh yes, of course!" Claire scribbled on the pad, "Be out shortly!" She zoomed from one end of the restaurant to the other in a blur of blue. Claire also served her other customer's orders rather expeditiously. Then she passed by the owner's door.
"Excuse me bossman! Your daughter is here!" Claire exclaimed as she poked her head in. The room was darkened, but she could tell he was in there. She resumed her business and carried on, placing Iris's order on a swivel next to the cook.

"Phew!" She panted, heading into the staff break room and sitting down at a bench. I'll just take a few moments here... She plopped her head back against the wall and closed her eyes for a little bit.

That Night...

"Thanks, Mr. Vandole!" Whitney waved at the man behind the grocery store counter before stepping out into the night air. Within her right hand, she gripped a plastic bag filled with an assortment of items; she needed some milk, bacon, and eggs to make breakfast the next day. She liked going to the diner before class, but she thought that maybe she should go and make something herself once and a while.

She hummed a tune as she walked down the street, enjoying the quietness that surrounded her. At this time, almost no one was out on the streets of Darkwell. The normally bustling little town was dead at such an hour, and while it was somewhat ominous, it was also very interesting. The lamp posts' lights attracted moths, which buzzed around the glass-encased yellow lightbulb. As she walked, she thought about the things that occurred that day. There had been so many weird people in the diner that morning, but she just assumed that it was busier than usual. Whitney's class, a calculus course, had felt like it dragged on for ages, especially when she felt like throwing up in the middle of it due to the pain that was ravaging her body. Luckily enough, the pain soon subsided, but only after class was done. When she returned home at the end of the day, however, she found a curious letter. An invitation to Darkwell City's 100th anniversary party. She loved parties, so she was planning on going anyway, but she was even more intrigued with the announcement of a raffle. She always wanted a personal computer, or at least, better than the one she already had. Since the party was going to be the next day at 12pm, she supposed that she would skip a class for once.

Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard something move behind her. Whitney slowed her pace and looked over her shoulder, thinking it was just some passerby. But to her surprise, no one was there-- only the stretch of road that she was walking on. She felt confused, but she faced forward and continued to walk. As she made her way down the street, she felt the same presence once again, this time closer. Her heartbeat was becoming wild, especially when she turned to see that, again, no one was behind her.  "Hello?" Whitney called, her voice unusually meek. There was no answer to her call, and so, she turned her head towards the street again.

Yet, the street wasn't what she saw. Standing just feet in front of her was something that she had never seen before. A figure resembling the shape of a man, but long, sharpened blades protruded from its forearms. She could not see the face of the person, but only hungry, gleaming eyes that focused directly on her; the dark armor perfectly revealed the strange thing's identity.  For a moment, Whitney froze,  and her blood became ice. The way that thing was looking at her... it wasn't what you could call friendly.  "I-if you want money, I don't have much..."

But the shade did not appear interested in her cash. With a fluid movement, the blade came forward, nearly slicing her in half if she had not moved quickly enough. The edge of the blade instead cut through the film of the plastic bag, spilling its contents and making a mess on the cement floor. With a shocked cry, Whitney spun and sprinted away. She could tell that the strange thing was in hot pursuit, not daring to look behind her shoulder.  "Get away from me!" she begged, running as fast as she could. But the shadow was basically right at her heels, and she knew that she could not get away. She was dead.

It must have been that she ran for hours, or at least, it certainly felt like it. Whitney was covered in sweat by the time she found herself cornered in a dead end street, with no escape at all.  Ironic. she thought about the circumstances as she turned to face her pursuer. It stood in front of her, brandishing its blades in her direction. While it seemed like it had not broken a sweat, the pain that coated her body like tar was excruciating. The headache returned in such a way that Whitney was sure that she was going to pass out as black crept at the corners of her vision. She trembled. Was this how it felt like to be in the wake of impending doom?

The strange shade leapt forward, aiming to slice into her throat in a fell blow. But before his blade could even find her flesh, something changed. The pain only increased in intensity, and she felt herself morphing; she became much taller and stretched out, and her arms became thicker. Her fingers arched and transformed into azure talons. Her neck stretched and bent down at the shade, which stared in awe. She felt her flat teeth become razor sharp fangs, and from one moment to another, she was flooded with power. She was a dragon. And not any dragon, she realized, but the beloved creature that she played so much in her favorite online game.

Whitney stared down at the shade, feeling a burning anger deep in her chest.  "Looks like the tables have turned, doesn't it?" the beast growled, raising her right paw as she brandished her own weapon. In a fatal swoop, she swung the limb, and her claws tore straight into the strange being. No blood poured out and she did not feel the warmth of tearing tendons and flesh, but instead, the shade dissipated into tendrils of gray smoke. And from one moment to the other, she was safe.

She looked down at her limb again. The panic did not fade away like the shade. What had happened? Why did she turn into Aurelion Sol? Was this a dream? Whitney didn't think so. Worry fluttered in her heart, and for a second, she felt like crying. Would the government come after her? Questions raced through her mind like wildfire. All she did know was that she had to get out of there.

After flying for a little while in search of somewhere she could hide, she decided that resting upon a roof would be best. Whitney didn't think anyone would see her up there, and so, the beast laid upon the cold stone of an apartment complex's rooftop. She lowered her head to the ground, her bright eyes scanning the street of any possible onlookers. The thoughts came back, racing through her mind. However, the one that stood out most to her was the most obvious question.  Are there any more people that are like me?

Noelle had looked up at Jason as he mentioned she wasn’t alone in this. She tilted her head, wondering what he meant. She then suddenly froze up in almost terror as she heard him say his story. It happened to him too? The headache and the other pain in general before suddenly something unnatural happening with him!

Noelle turned pale, remembering it. At that time she thought the headache and the muscle pains were simply from overdoing it at her other job as a janitor. She had to work twice as hard as her colleague called in sick yesterday. So it wasn’t because of overwork!

Noelle then nodded at his story. He seemed relieved to have said that to someone and not keep it secret. She smiled at him, now realizing his hand was on hers. She then smiled some more, before quickly pulling her hand away, blushing slightly.

She now quickly wrote something in her notebook, showing it to him.” Thank you. ^_^!” Was what was written on the sheet of paper. She then nearly jolted from surprise as his mug fell of the table. She clearly felt the air also moving around him as it happened.

She then showed a surprised expression as she saw another boy show up at their booth and sit down as if it was a totally normal thing to do. Normally she would be happy to have more people to converse with, but in this case she wasn’t. She feared having people around her right now and the possible hurt she could cause them.

‘Ehhh!?’ She thought in panic as he mentioned her making voices. Her face turned pale once more as she started trembling again. ‘What… when…why… how…’ Her mind was in panic from fear. She quickly wrote up a sentence on her notebook and let the piece of paper on the table before running away, back towards the employee only area. The paper read:” See you later, Jason…” With very uneven handwriting clearly showing she was spooked again.

Not losing any time, she walked ot the manager, asking for a day off today. She told him she wasn’t feeling well and he let her go.

@Eklispe @Jake

------------------------------------------

Noelle spend her entire day at home after that. She had locked the door, pulled the curtains of her tiny home and spend the entire day, watching tv, wrapped in a blanket, shivering and jumping at any noisy outside her small flat, expecting it to be the police. She even saw the event on the news… about a strange attack on a bank branch. No fatalities at least which made her feel a little bit relieved.

Around sunset she realized that her fridge was empty… Noelle felt hungry, in fact so much so that she wanted a big meal. There was a take out place nearby so she quickly changed into her tracksuit again, carefully making her way outside.

She walked quickly to the takeout place, ordered herself some food, they put in boxes, she paid and then quickly left, not wanting to spend any more time outside than she had to.

Sadly her luck turned out for the worst when half of the way home, her way was blocked by two drunken thugs wannabees. Clearly intoxicated by alcohol and clearly not thinking straight, the men tried to push themselves on her with very bad pickup lines. They also got clearly more agitated as she didn’t even reply to them.

“REPLY WHEN YOU ARE TALKED TO!” He shouted and punched her hard enough that she was thrown to the side. Noelle wasn’t really the biggest or heaviest out there so it was pretty easy for him. The drunken men seemed to have even more ideas of what to do with her as they approached her closer.

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” She opened her mouth, wanted to shout and the air stirred in reply. Her scream stirred into a high pitched sound that made the two humans fall to the ground, holding their ears. Her body then felt hurting all over. She closed her eyes as she felt something had changed. Next she knew, Noelle felt something with her arms… something solid and with strings. She then opened her eyes just as the men were trying to stand up once more, confused at what had hit them. It was then that Noelle didn’t even think, she barely even realized what she was doing as she ran her fingers through the cords of the etwahl, Song of Valor activating and sending a pair of compressed soundwaves and energy towards the two humans. The bolts hit them, sending them back flying.

After that followed silence. Noelle didn’t even know what she did. Why did this happen, did she kill them? She took a breath, looking at herself. The etwahl… was this that happened to her? Sona? She was Sona? She then noticed her hair was longer now.

She saw the blood on herself, her bleeding lip… the blood thrown up from the bolts hitting the men. She felt sick! She grabbed her bag with her food and started running again only to realize she wasn’t exactly running anymore… Just like the music instrument in her hands, she was hovering just a few inches off the ground.

She then struggled to hold in her own screams of horror and confusion, afraid that if she makes another noise it would attract someone from somewhere. She could just take that alleyway and be home in a few minutes… away from gazes… from people. She wanted to see Jason… he would know…he would understand.. right?

In her fear and panic, she didn’t even notice the strange creature on top one of the nearby buildings.'Why is this happening to me!'

After his breakfast. Ben left to his friend's property outside of the city. He worked at the garden, planting some trees and pruning some other trees. After some easy work he started to go home by feet. With around houndred dollars in his pocket, he wondered if he should visit a grocery shop on his way. While thinking about what he should buy on his way home he was staring at the sky above the city. While near the border of the city he saw something flying above the city and landing on a roof. Not believing his eyes he rubbed them and looked again. As he looked back at the road he saw 5 men hanging around a lamp post. Not really caring about those men he lighted a cigarette and continued to walk in their direction. Maybe they are just playing pokemon or something, who knows?

Getting close to the lamp post he started to feel like there's gonna be trouble. Just as he got there the five men stood around him, not letting him go any further.
They think im a pokemon or what?
As he wanted to go further they started to knock him around. As he was alone he didnt have much chance against the 5 of them. The thugs playing with him and dropping his cigarette Ben lost his cool and punched one of them in the face, efficiently breaking his nose. Not caring about anything now, he continued to fight back even though he got held back by two of them and 2 was beating him up. If i could just hit them with something! grunting after each stronger hit Ben about to completely lose it. Noticed a stronger pain in his shoulders and arms they felt like his bones were being ripped apart and put together again. As the thugs were thinking they had enough of him, one of them said: "We should just kill this fool! hearing this the others agreed and one of them pulled out a knife. As he was about to stab Ben, they could hear a whip in the air and the man had 30centimeter spikes sticking out of his troath and chest. After just seconds the man fell on the ground, blood flowing out of his body. The others, terrifyied by the scene in front of them, stood in shock.

They looked at Ben and they could see huge spikes sticking out of his shoulders and his arms being covered in a purple plate like matter. They immidietly dropped him and backed away. Ben stood up and as he opened his eyes, the picture he saw was different. Looking at the thugs he only saw his prey, rising his arms he noticed the scythe like growths on them. The remaining 4 thugs tried to leave the place but as they ran. One of them tripped and fell. Standing in place as his skin hardened and turned grey even on his face the fallen man was thinking that maybe he turned to stone! Not quite... the hardened skin fell off like a used shell and revealed a terrifying monster.

As Ben got his vision. He noticed the fallen man. Paralyzed by fear, he couldnt even try to move as the monster Ben has become leapt at him and ravaged his body.
With one claw lifting up the pieces he started to eat his prey, it came from instinct and he couldnt help it. In the matter of seconds he ate his foe and chased after the escaping ones. They ran into the city, the street lamps provided enough light for them to see their way in. But they also saw a shadow on the ground get ahead of them. As they were passing by a cross street Ben leapt at one of the thugs from the darkness and dragged him into the dark on the other side. A quiet scream and a grunt could be heard before the sound of blood splattering on the streets. Devouring another man Ben felt a rush of adrenaline as he experienced a taste from hunting. Leaping on the roof of a building, he buzzed around between the roofs with his wings slighty helping him. The remaining two thugs ran into a dead end. Ben landed in the enteance of the small street and slowly walked towards them, blood dripping from his mouth giving a horroristic view to the thugs they had no choice but to wait for their inevitable death.

Suddenly the thugs heard the voice of the monster:
"You shouldnt attack people on the streets when they could become monsters...
Just about this time was when Bem started to calm down and think normally. As he walked towards his prey, a tought came to his mind: What will happen if anyone finds the blood? I cant let them live. They'll tell someone. I have no choice...

Dashing to the two man. He cut off their heads in one swipe. Still having second thought Ben decided he should get rid of the bodies. Devouring parts would work. A wild animal can make a big mess. Leaving the ravaged bodies in the streets he leapt on top of a building and noticed a scream: "NOOOOOOOOO"
Dashing on top of the building only making a quiet buzzing noise Ben rushed to see what was happening. He saw a blue haired woman with a strange object moving towards an alley.
Maybe its not my time to try and ask her whats her problem is...

Settling down a bit and thinking about the things that happened Ben was sitting in the dark on top of a roof

"Excuse me?!?"

"You heard me, wallet. Now." Whoever the hell this was thought that in the middle of the night, whatever time it was right now, that it was a brilliant idea to try and mug someone out here. Nova just wanted some Doritos, and now she's got two people with knives aimed right at her, one one of the lesser lit streets. Brilliant, isn't it? The two men stepped closer to her, knives aimed down at her face, as Alexis stared right into the eyes of the first, hands up in surrender. "Alright, alright, let's just put those down and let me grab it." The girl spoke up, reaching into her bag. Most of her id's weren't in her wallet, all she had right now was 10$ and a few coupons. So not much to lose.

"Just drop the damn bag then, I want this done quick. Now!" The main guy twirled his knife in his hand, then thrusting towards Nova as a warning, as the girl zipped up her bag, slinging it over her shoulder. She clenched her right fist, glaring at him. "Oh hell no." Now she was presented with a bit of a challenge here, she wasn't getting rid of her laptop and the rest of her bag. This seemed to piss her off, though now appealing to her more competitive side. Two guys with knives? Shouldn't be that hard. She was feeling a bit more energetic, feeling a bit more power in her fist. Trying not to get that into her head, she adjusted her stance.

Not noticed to any of the three, there was a faint black and gold-ish aura around her fists, as a bit of a headache kicked in. The main guy took a step forward, as Nova pulled her fist backwards, getting ready. When the moment felt right, Nova let the energy of her arm kick in, as the glow fired forward.. With a short lunge towards him, her fist connected with the man's face, disorienting him for a short moment. The other man attempted to stab her from behind, though the knife got caught by... Something. Alexis wasn't sure what it was, though she turned around. "What the hell...?" He spoke up, adjusting his knife. Nova took this opportunity, feeling the energy kick in. One hit to the stomach, one left hook, one upper. The last hit made a bit of a bang, somewhat literally, as the man was knocked back, then flat on his ass.

Looking at her arms, and the man behind her, she bailed. Running about two streets down, then shifting into the ally. Letting her nightly-rooftop run habits kick in, Alexis jumped up onto a dumpster, then climbed up the fire escape. It seemed a bit easier than she would have thought, though now she just needed to get away. As she got up to the rooftop, she looked down at the ground to see the man down there, pissed off. Flipping him off, she started running in the opposite direction, jumping across the rooftops of the apartments and some businesses. At each jump, with the assistance of her hands, she noticed the aura around her fists was substantially brighter, and somewhat solid. Her hands weren't scratched up at all by the cement, though now she didn't entirely think of that.

Somewhat cut off by a longer street, Alexis followed the fire escape, then quickly ran across the street. She had a bit of a feeling that there would be some more trouble, so she just went over to another complex. Once she got to the roof, she checked the street, seeing that one guy running off in the other direction. She took a sigh of relief, wiping her head with the aura of the fist, somewhat disoriented. Nova spun off her heel, then seeing... Something. A dragon. What the hell. Going into a defensive stance, although she had no idea how well that would work against a dragon (which looked oddly familiar), she spoke up. "Sorry, is this roof taken?"
