There was a loud rap on the door to the room where Ambrose and Hunter were. Brianna had received a text from The Boss about what was going on and how she had to feign ignorance to her Boss's commands. She was glad that Hunter had continued with the experimentation for her since it had meant that she was able to spend the night observing the stem cells from the teeth they had collected. Truly, what she had discovered was amazing. While they had gathered stem cells from previous subjects, it had taken another set of genes for her to finally put the similarities together. This could be a breakthrough for the goal of creating a cure for shifting. She was eager to discuss her findings with Hunter, not to mention to see the defeated look on the face of Ambrose. Had Hunter not mentioned he was going to go with sleep deprivation next? Would a shifter react differently to a normal human?

Hunter jumped slightly at the sound, and turned to open the door. Upon seeing Brianna, he nods. "Good morning. The subject, er, Ambrose has been put through the next procedure. Where do we go from now?" He asks softly, letting the boy have one moments rest. It wasn't going to do much for him in the end.

Hunter jumped slightly at the sound, and turned to open the door. Upon seeing Brianna, he nods. "Good morning. The subject, er, Ambrose has been put through the next procedure. Where do we go from now?" He asks softly, letting the boy have one moments rest. It wasn't going to do much for him in the end.


Ambrose allows himself to fall asleep, his head against his knees. He breathes deeply, falling asleep almost instantly. His tense body relaxes as h falls asleep.

Misha raised her hand to stop Elauna. She kept her face towards the ground, panting, and raised her point finger in a gesture of waiting. After a moment, she took in a deep breath and looked up. "It's been a hell of a weird week." She sighed shakily. "Where's Fabine?" She glanced around frantically. "I really gotta find him."


"Fabine's gone to the Rabin camp. To get you and Destin." Elauna crosses her arms. "I'm the new Brom healer." she scowls. "Now as such, I outrank you, and order you to get on your feet and come into my tent!" She stomps her foot in emphasis, glaring a bit at Misha. "Now!"

"Ah, the subject?" Brianna glances over at Ambrose's sleeping form and frowns. She hadn't seen him awake. "Well, kick him awake for a start. Goodness Hunter, I do hope this experiment wasn't that taxing on you?" She shakes her head. "Oh, I don't mind." She flaunts some results on a clipboard in front of him. "I think I've figured out the genetic marker which denotes shifting! I sent it through to the lab scientists... They should be able to create a gene-therapy serum which flips the switch in the DNA." She leans in as if to hide the truth from Ambrose. "Equally, they should be able to stop the shifting ability altogether." She pulls back. "Of course, experimental data is always necessary. Bring out the hallucinogens."

She raised a hand to her head in an attempt to clear the disorientation, but it only worsened the sense of confusion.


Elauna huffs and grabs Misha's arm pulling her roughly to her feet. "Shut up and get in the tent." She snarls, dragging the younger girl over to the healer's tent. "You were kidnapped by the Rabins along with Destin. You are here now, but Fabine doesn't know that. He went to save you. But we'll see what happens. You need to lay down."

Leo snorted and rolled his eyes, ears pinned back against his head. He had some fluffy brown fur on his head and chest, as well as a bit on his shoulders. His main pelt was still spotted and was a dark, gingery brown color.

Ambrose tries to push him away, whining. He rubs at his eyes. "Oh come on!" He groans, blinking the little sleep from his eyes. "I'm so tired..." He then notices Brianna. He pales and jumps off the bed, wobbling a bit. "You stay away from me!" He backs away, obviously terrified of her. He looks around for some escape.

"You're sure sounding grumpy. What the hell is your deal?" Xavier asks as they walked. He couldn't help but take note as to the interesting color of Leo's pelt, but doesn't comment, deciding to try to figure out why the boy came to the forest.

Ambrose whimpers in pain, twisting away from her. "Fuck you.." He whispers, turning his face away. He then stomps on her foot as hard as he can. "I'm not pathetic. And I didn't ask for this!" He gives her a fierce glare before yanking away and going back over to the bed. He watches Hunter warily. "Don't you dare fucking touch me."

Hunter listens to Brianna's taunts as he preps the drugs for injection. He nods as she calls him over, holding a syringe filled with an oddly colored liquid. "Do you want the honors, my associate?" He holds it out to her expectantly, knowing she'd want it. It was just... the Brianna he knew. He admired her for it.

If you don't let me at least look you over, you'll be as good as dead, and if Fabine finds out, he'll fucking murder multiple someones. So sit your ass down and stop whining." She grabs her arm again and pushes her over to a cot.

MISHA flinched and began clawing at ELAUNA. "I've had enough of people touching me, thanks!" she snapped, eyes narrowed to harsh slits. "I have a huge mess to explain, and I need to explain it! Now! To someone who matters!"

Brianna recoiled from the pain in her foot. Her expression twisted momentarily in rage, "Why you little-" she inhaled sharply and forced herself to calm down. He was trying to get her riled up. She was the only person who could influence her own emotions. She couldn't let him take over. Her face smoothed into a calm facade and she happily took the syringe from Hunter. "Ah, at least there is one true gentleman in the room." She nods gratefully and for a moment watches the strange coloured liquid in awe, holding it to the artificial white light from the roof. "I think we need to be careful of him," she warns Hunter and then turns to kick Ambrose in the stomach with her sharp heel.
