Whew, busy day today! So glad that it's the weekend now.
@Tojin and @LunayMochizuki -- Thank you for your interest! :) I'll keep you up to date!
@Raijinslayer -- A wild pokejinka is definitely okay, and so long as we talk about the latter just to go through all the specifics, I'd potentially be okay with a Zoroark Pokejinka trainer too!
@Kit N Kat and @Rune_Alchemist -- Those are, of course, totally fine with me! :) If you want to get a head start at any point, you can work on the forms (which I intentionally kept short and sweet)! I hope to get this all planned out and up this weekend.
@Lime Blossoms Alright. If you need anything, feel free to ask. Do you mind if she's a shiny umbreon though? It'll kind be the excuse why she's a freelance, not wanting to get caught.
Went ahead and decided to finish mine before I headed off for the night. Mostly to see if I need to change anything, or if anything is amiss.
Lucile 'Lucy' Geroux
Age: 18 | Hometown/Region: Laverre City, Kalos | Occupation: Trainer
"Hmm~ hold on...you have some food on your mouth. Lemme get that~"
(she then proceeds to lick said crumbs off your face)
Personality: To say Lucile Geroux is a bit of an eccentric is an understatement. While at first, she'll likely come off as a somewhat mature girl since she speaks with at least some formality and decorum, anyone who spends any length of time around her will quickly find she is, in fact, not.
While she's not unfriendly, she's definitely not overly so either. In fact, if one had to sum of the eighteen year old's personality, it could easily be described as thus: A teasing, somewhat promiscuous, demanding, pleasure seeker who does things solely for her own pleasure or interest. She'll not hesitate to make fun of someone for small giggles at the expense of their own emotional health or tease someone simply for the sake of teasing them.
It should be noted, she's also not going to go out of her way to help a random trainer either. She probably won't even help someone she knows, unless she can get her 'fun' out of it. Calm and collected as well, its rare to see her flustered in some manner. (some might just call this being completely shameless). And if someone truly ever gets upset at her shenanigans, if they seriously tell her to stop she likely will. Of course, they should make sure to be 100% serious about it otherwise she'll simply believe them to be playing along.
That said, she loves her pokemon and they seem to be just about the only ones she consistently will help without a second thought. If someone does anything to them, they gonna have a bad time.
Bio: Not much to say here, aside from she's your average Kalosian girl. She grew up in Laverre city, becoming interested in pokemon from quite a young age, preferring those of the dark and ghost typings. Most of the time, she spent her time growing up playing around in the swamps of route fourteen, which is also subsequently where she met her first pokemon when she was twelve, a Goomy. The poor thing was being picked on by some skorupi, and Lucy would have none of it. Afterwards, the Goomy started followed her around everywhere, and the two became fast friends.
The two, over the years became inseparable. Lucy got them into no end of shenanigans, but it didn't matter to the Goomy, even if they got scolded or in trouble. For the shy, introverted, somewhat clumsy Goomy this was practically a paradise to have a human raise it as a trainer would, and be welcome in open arms by both her and her parents. Over the years, the Goomy grew and evolved, and one rainy day when she was seventeen after purposefully accidentally agitating a group of Haunter, she evolved into a Goodra.
Soon after, she met a honedge.
One day, she aspires to be the champion of Kalos. A simple dream every trainer has, that not everyone is able to accomplish. Why? Because it seems like it'd be fun. That's her reason for doing anything, really.
Pokemon:
Essy
Physical Age: 24| Species: Goodra
Personality: Shy, easily embarrassed, and not so sure of herself, Essy isn't the most confident of people out there. She's constantly doubting her own abilities and her own worth as a pokemon. Doesn't help she's a bit of a klutz and tends to trip over quite a few things, and otherwise be fairly uncoordinated. That said, she is incredibly friendly, and would be the first to make friends with someone as long as they're gentle enough not to scare the poor thing off.
One should also note, considering well, she's a dragon, startling her is a good way of getting sucker punched into oblivion. She'll profusely apologize afterwards, but she hits like a goddamn train. It should also be noted, she still retains some pokemon like qualities, such as her hair being two long ponytail like features. one should also note she is also, still covered in a thin layer of slime. She often slips on this.
Obtained: Once, there was a shy little Goomy who lived near Laverre. The small pokemon was never the best of pokemon. In fact, it made blunders quite often. All it wanted, was a loving trainer to take care of it. Many trainers though, saw its clumsiness and shied away from it. Until one day it had accidentally wandered into a nest of angry Skorupi, and was saved by a human trainer that took her in.
Ever since then the two have been good and fast friends, despite the teasing from Lucy Essy is subject too on occasion. They have traveled over quite a bit of Kalos, training, and becoming stronger in hopes of one day taking on the league.
Aethe
Physical Age: 19 | Species: Doublade
Aethe is, well, unlike Lucy or Essy, is probably the most serious one of the group. While she doesn't seriously take issue with Lucy's teasing and shenanigans, there is a definite time and place for everything and a proper set of decorum and rules to be followed when interacting with others.
suggestively licking a Popsicle just to get a reaction from a group of guys, does not fall under proper behavoir.
Polite, well mannered she speaks in a formal, if somewhat cold and mechanical method sometimes. A lot of the time she comes off as aloof and cold when in reality she simply just has very little to say, and things she does say are short, precise, and to the point.
She's a favorite of Lucy to tease, as being the serious pokemon she is Lucy often gets the best reactions out of her. Honest to a fault, but not really gullible herself she takes everything quite seriously and tends to have trouble relaxing sometimes. She does, however, love dancing, surprisingly enough. Can become rather lonely at times, and is grateful Lucy took the time to get to know her like she did.
It should be noted, as a doublade her skin is incredibly tough. She is a steel type after all, and while she can't exactly phase past objects she is surprisingly light as she is strong, and is still able to levitate and perform quite a few acrobatic feats.
Obtained: The second pokemon Lucy ever obtained, and has only been with her for a little under a year. The tale of how they met is a rather simple one. To sum it up in a single sentence: Lucy saw a honedge, decided she wanted it, and followed it until it decided to let her capture it. Of course, this annoyed the Honedge quite a bit to begin with. It honestly didn't want a trainer. It simply wanted to be left alone so it could train its abilities in peace without being constantly hounded by trainers or other humans. When this human, Lucy, took an interest in her at first she simply ignored the human. She had no reason to accept being her trainer.
In fact, it got so bad the honedge actively attacked the human. Such battles were short lived, though. However, despite the Honedge's want to be alone, it was...surprisingly having fun with these encounters. Something she didn't entirely think she could possibly have with a human. Eventually, one of these battles ended in a laughing fit for all three present.
It was then, the honedge realized this was...well, fun. As much of a serious stick in the mud the pokemon was, it couldn't deny that it had fun. So when Lucy finally asked once again, she said yes. The two have been fairly good friends since then, and Lucy has dragged her into no end of unfortunate shenanigans.
Damn, you got to Doublade before me... I don't have a clear idea of my profile yet, but I was planning on have either Doublade or Aegislash as one of my gijinka... maybe I'll go for Gallade instead...
@Lime Blossoms I have a question about a certain pokemon. Darkrai is my favourite pokemon, and if at all possible I would prefer to RP as him as a wild over being a trainer. I just wanted to check if you would allow it? You said before 'No legendaries', but I've never seen Darkrai referred to as a legendary pokemon. I've also checked the list of legendary pokemon on Bulbapedia and it's not on there...
@Shadow Daedalus Darkrai is a legendary Pokemon like Cresselia. Well, to be more precise it's classified as a Mythical pokemon which is even rarer than a legendary. xD
WELL so much for the weekend. I'm so sorry for the delay! I've been trying to iron out kinks for this RP, but things also got unexpectedly busy!
@Rune_Alchemist -- I love your characters! They sound amazing, and like they'd be a ton of fun to interact with. Everything looks good to me; as soon as I get the main thread up, you can just toss her into the Characters section and assume she's auto-accepted.
@Shadow Daedalus -- Doubles of Pokemon are okay if that's your concern about Doublade (outside of the image appearance, of course)! As for Darkrai, I would classify him as a legendary, unfortunately! :(
”Y’see, I’ve had nothing but a bunch of self entitled trainers throwing Pokeballs at my ass hoping to get a ‘rare one’ for their collection, so there’s a reason I hate 'em."
This Shiny Umbreon, given the nickname “Umbra” by a few trainers nice enough to protect her from other trainers and collectors, has spent a large portion of her life being hunted down for her special coloration. Umbra’s alway been a free and independant soul, though her shininess has always created a divide between her, other Pokemon, and trainers. She’s never wanted to be confined, though after her first trainer encounter, and second, and the third, she isolated herself and slowly became cynical.
She’s had no real backing for that many ‘good’ humans, except for the trainers who gave her the name ‘Umbra’, and those from the lab who patched her up after lots of abuse, at the cost of only a small blood sample. While she was a bit irritated with that, she dealt with it since it gave her a roof to hide under until she decided to be left on her lonesome. Back then, she had a lot more trainers trying to capture her, though she evaded each time. She held her own as much as she could but when several trainers were going after her, she bailed. Ever since then, she’s stayed as close as she can to the lab.
After becoming a Pokejinka, Umbra was pretty happy with the change. It allowed for easier communication and actually made it a bit easier to bail from trainers and whatnot. She actually finds herself on rooftops quite a lot, enjoying the view of the town below, although still finds herself shutting out to other people. At the sign of care however, she lightens up ever-so-slightly and is willing to return. She somewhat classifies herself as a freelancer as she’s willing to help some trainers (who don’t immediately spam Ultra balls at her) for various duties, for either money or food. But she isn’t afraid to lash out to said trainers if they attempt to capture her, and usually doesn’t open up to those types of people. (Note - Her ears and tail are more predominant than the picture, and she has a few black and blue rings, three on the last three fingers of her left hand, one on her right index finger, and two on her right middle finger. Those rings and the blue portion of her hair glow when she uses attacks.)
Welp, here we go. Hope that one's good, if anything needs to be edited feel free to tell me. Also if you need any help with anything, do the same.
This particular Noivern is known to be aggressive and is known in the area as "Echo". She is very territorial over her patch of woods, as she sees that area as her hunting ground. Echo spends her time during the day asleep and spending her nights hunting and singing. Her voice can be easily heard from a fair distance and local townspeople learned to fear the sound. When Echo turned into a Pokejinka, she had trouble adjusting. The hardest part was the arms. She was so used to moving her wings that sometimes she still flaps her arms while she flies. The idea of thumbs still confuses her. She still lurks around the woods on moonless nights, seeking out anyone who dares enter her territory.
Name: Seth Rush Age: 29 Hometown: Cherrygrove City Pokémon and moves: 1. Charizard: - Flare Blitz - Scratch - Flame Burst - Flamethrower 2. Onix - Stone Edge - Rock Throw - Dig - Iron Tail 3. Beedrill - Twineedle - Fury Attack - Double Team 4. Scizor - Bullet Punch - Metal Claw - Double Team - Quick Attack 5. Sandslash - Fury Cutter - Dig - Gyro Ball - Magnitude Personality: Controlling, cocky, will do anything for the right price.
Bio: When Seth first started his journey at 11, he wanted to befriend and be a Pokémon master. That all changed when he was hit with the realization that this world is nothing but pain and agony. He did what every normal Pokémon trainer would do. He traveled through the region battling and catching Pokémon. He even won all eight badges to fight the Elite Four. However, this is where he hit the wall. No matter how hard he trained, how long he strategized. He could never come close to even winning the first stage. All hope seemed lost and his dream seemed to be slipping through his fingers. He was about to head back home when he ran into the man that would change his world completely: Alexander Cross. He had watched his battles and seen him training to defeat the Elite Four only to fail. Alexander told him of a secret place where he could train and excel his Pokémon training to the next level. Seth saw his offer as a last ditch effort and knew if this didn’t work, he’d be on the next bus home.
Seth Followed Alexander to Violet City. Seth thought Alexander would take him to the Gym leader here since he had several Fighting-type Pokémon. However, Alexander showed him into one of the more, run down stores. He followed Alexander into the store and towards the back wall where a large man sat in a folding chair that barely held his mass. The man looked up from his magazine, saw Alexander, and nodded before he knocked twice on the wall. It split open to reveal an elevator. The two got on and it descended into the subbasement of the store. When the elevator stopped and opened. Seth’s world would be changed forever.
The Door opened to reveal a massive arena and in the middle was a domed steel cage. The crowd cheered loudly as a large spark of electricity emanated from within the cage. Alexander led Seth towards seats near the front of the crowd and Seth saw what was inside the cage. Within the confines of the domed prison were two trainers and their Pokémon. One was a Nidoking that was riddled with scars. One of them was fresh as blood oozed from the large fissure in its arm and onto the stained concrete floor. Its horn was severed from its head and left a jagged sharp edge at its tip that dripped with fresh blood. Its opponent was an equally battle-scarred Hitmonchan. Its right arm hung limply against its body and its left eye was closed with a large gash over it. The two trainers inside the cage didn’t seem to care that their Pokémon were on the verge of fainting. They yelled their attacks and their Pokémon obliged. The Hitmonchan charged first and tried to hit the Nidoking with a Mega Punch. However, the Nidoking ducked the attack and was able to grab the Hitmonchans limp arm and hip tossed it into the cage. As soon as the Hitmonchan hit the steel a large bolt of electricity shot into the Hitmonchan. It fell to the floor and didn’t get up. a bell rang and the crowd cheered as the Nidokings arm was raised in victory.
Alexander explained that this type of battling was frowned upon by the gym leaders and Elite Four. This is why they took place in this underground facility. Alexander called this place the Battle Dome. This was where aspiring trainers who had exhausted all other methods to get stronger came. He said the trainers here were like Seth: they trained and strategized trying to beat the Elite Four, but all failed like him. Alexander explained that if he trained in the Battle Dome. He would be able to win against the Elite Four. Seth was scared, to say the least. He had seen how the last fight went and didn’t want his Pokémon to look like they were on the brink of death. Alexander seemed to know what he was thinking because he placed a hand on Seth’s shoulder and said he’d help him through the Domes training. Seth was still scared and didn’t know if he could trust Alexander. However, he knew that if he refused his offer. He’d be going home a failure. In the end, he agreed and the dark path of his future was set in stone.
The first several battles where losses since his newly evolved charmeleon were hesitant to fight Pokémon looking like they were about to die. His other Pokémon didn’t seem too eager as well and seemed much weaker than the other trainers Pokémon. Alexander told Seth that to win battles in the Dome, he would have to put Seth and his Pokémon through the same training program he went through. Seth agreed and for the next three years. Alexander mercilessly and ruthlessly trained Seth and his Pokémon. During that time, Seth released all his Pokémon but his charmeleon because Alexander said all but charmeleon was strong enough to fight in the Battle Dome. Seth caught all-new Pokémon and continued training. He continued to release and capture Pokémon until Alexander was sure his team would win. Once the training was complete, Seth returned to the Dome.
His first match was a victory, but only by the skin of his teeth. He continued to fight in the Battle Dome and Continued to win matches as his Pokémon started to resemble the other trainers Pokémon: his Charmeleon that had now evolved into a Charizard was riddled with battle scars and had a large X-scar over its right eye, his Onix’s stone body was filled with large fissures and cracks with its large stone horn atop its head was broken off and left nothing but a jagged point, his Scizor had three large scars on its chest and both claws were cracked and bruised, his Beedrill’s two steel drills were cracked and coated in darkened dried blood. Its large stinger had a massive crack down the middle and was unusable, and his Sandslash was the worst. Many of its back spines were missing or chipped in half, its right arm sported a large scar that went from its chipped and cracked claws to its shoulder and both its eyes were unusable with burn marks fusing its eyelids shut. However, even with it now blind, it used the earth to see oncoming attacks.
Seth’s Pokémon weren’t the only things to change in the Battle Dome. His personality changed too: He was now cold and filled with a bloodlust to win no matter the cost. He pushed his Pokémon to their breaking points and then demanded they continue no matter how tired or hurt they were. After several wins in the Dome, Seth went back to challenge the Elite Four. He was battling the third member Bruno when the other Elite Four members stopped the match. They told him he would no longer be able to face the Elite Four or advance because of how he treated his Pokémon. The champion at the time Lance told Seth how disgusted he was with how he treated his Pokémon. He said that Seth’s Pokémon was filled with hatred, rage, and a bloodlust that could not be quenched. Seth was kicked out of the Indigo Plateau and not allowed to ever return. Seth felt robbed, he was going to win and they knew it. They didn’t want to lose and so they kicked him out. At least that’s how Seth saw it. He returned to the Battle Dome and there he stayed as he continued to take out his frustration out on any challenger who dared to step in the ring.
That all changed when an organization scouting for hired trainers saw his match one evening. Once Seth had finished the battle and collected his pay. He turned to see the Organization representative ushering him over. Seth wasn’t too keen on meeting business types, but since the representative was standing near the exit. He had no choice. He figured he’d hear him out and if he got bored, he’d simply get up and leave. The representative said he worked for a secret organization. Seth just sighed and asked the man to get to the point. The man nodded and asked Seth if he knew about Hybrids? Seth looked at him in confusion before he remembered reports of half human half Pokemon creatures being seen in forests and around cities. Seth nodded and the man began to explain that his organization wanted to capture and study these creatures. The man then told said that Seth's skills in the Dome were what his bosses were looking for. He then explained that his organization needed trainers like Seth to travel around capturing these hybrids. Seth thought about this and then asked how much the job would pay. After losing his dream, the only thing Seth found solace in was money. The representative told him of his Pay and Seth liked the numbers and all the zeros that came with it. Seth shook the man's hand and then asked when he needed to start. The Representative gave him a wicked smile and uttered. "Immediately"
