I say again - whether the character comes to the conclusion of Gods or not, they have no proof.

As for your second point, a God does not pass along any genetics to their child. How could they? Children of Anubis would be running around with deformed, monstrous half human half dog heads. And I'm pretty sure if Odin got the hots for someone outside of Scandinavia he'd chase em down, regardless of the country they originate from. Gods are powerful - they can do that.

Children of Anubis would run around looking whatever the way the writer wants them to look actually.

But from what I'm getting you want normal, average-looking humans to hint at absolutely no supernatural traits.

Are you expecting writers to use real-life images/face claims or what?

I put emphasis on a lack of genetic coding from the Gods so that people aren't constricted in what their characters look like - especially ethnicity. Otherwise it would just be mostly white people everywhere, and that doesn't make for a very diverse roleplay.

As I am wanting this roleplay to have some modicum of normality when it comes to mortals, if one writer did decide to give their character non-human or fantastical physical traits, it would cause quite a ruckus among normal little earthlings. If one baby pops out with wings or something because their Godly parent had that, they would probably be seized by the government of whatever country they were born in to find out why this had happened - scientific experimentation and a lot of hushing up about the birth would then proceed - this is if the baby isn't just killed out right in a panic. So, unless that's a backstory you'd like to give your character, yes - normal looking humans would be lovely. In addition to this, your character would still be unaware they have a Godly parent.

I am yet to make the CS, but faceclaims will be used, yes. Real life only - no drawings or cartoons.

Do we have any other issues?

@MiddleEarthRozeI point out these things because you didn't have them in your introduction to the interest of this idea, and they're very important to mention.

I wasn't sure if you were going with an X-man style where there are some mutants who can blend into society perfectly or those who could not and must adapt to their new life in hiding. Because either way it contributes to a style of drama that some writers may want for their character's background.

These issues would have been addressed when the CS was created, along with the OOC. As I've said, it is up to you as to whether or not your character has developed powers at the point of the IC starting, and it is up to you how they deal with it; I also made it quite clear that the first time the characters will be aware of Gods existing will be when they meet them for the first time, in the IC.

Pledging interest! I'll apply with a Daughter of Isis when/if this opens up. My ideas are never of a solid form but I have enough of a concept to suffice discussions about relationships, if any are up for that.

Unsure if I'll allow Mania - she was only Goddess of insanity and the dead in Roman mythology - in Greek, she was a spirit, not a Goddess. However, Dionysus had ties with madness, if you'd like him.

Ahh OK! I'll think of something then. Plenty of Gods to go around. :)

On that note, I think I've gained enough attention to get the OOC up - currently a WIP, I don't want to throw something shoddy up. I'll let everyone know when I'm finished.

@MiddleEarthRoze Can't decide between Nyx - Greek Goddess of the night and Set - Egyptian God of the desert, storms, and violence. Either way I think I can use them for my character idea.

That's sounds like a good idea but I don't do so well with more than one character at a time ^^;

This has my interest.

Edit:
@MiddleEarthRoze

Demi Gods have a wide variety of...forms, especially with multiple mythologies. So as demi-gods are we limited to relatively-human forms or can we have more...monstrous counterparts? Such as the 'demi-gods' loki gave birth to: Fenrir, Jormungand, and Hel?

Nvm I read more so on the comments. Guess not.

@dragonmancer

I will be allowing Hel, as she is depicted as humanoid. As for Fenrir and his serpentine brother, that's a no - partly because of their beast like appearances, and also... plot reasons. >:)
