Ah, many apologies. I mis-read the name from where the text was placed on the image. I've edited the text in the post that's gone up on the characters' tab so it fits in as Erust now instead. Is it okay to add titles to the country names going forward to, i.e. Democratic republic of, etc? It's okay if you have other ideas, just asking now.
Of course it's alright! The only countries where it's not alright are the ones where I put a prefix, because I can be inconsistent, especially when it comes to maps. Not to mention how it's a geologically unrealistic map... >.> There's really no need to apologize, there's no harm done and I'm happy your characters are officially ready.
@Shin when you say the squad are transferring to courier field air base, are they in some sort of air carrier or train? Or are they flying in their own craft independently?
'Evening, happy Friday! Folks, I've got some bad news, my Internet's out for the next few days, but the show must go on! The RP will start on Sunday or Monday, as planned, I'll do anything to get it done and started.
In the meantime, I'm curious, did anyone have a particular inspiration in mind when writing their character? Any particular franchise, or even music, maybe art?

I was thinking of Sousuke Sagara and Heero Yuy when designing my characters personality. My character is different enough to not immediately fall into a stoic soldier archetype, but that's what I was thinking of when writing my character. Gene differentiates because he's not a stoic, but just one-track minded and not very interested in other things.
Heero had friends and so did Sousuke, but my character can't really make a connection with others as a result of no real shared experiences with others because of his memory loss.

No worries, I' sure we can understand if some delay happens.
Anyway, when it comes to inspiration, I really like to talk about my characters. Itsuko is in fact an OC that I use every so often, with the premise that she's a badass normal with a thing for tigers and a rather maverick behavior.
For her version here, I got inspired by both the Demon Lord and Yellow 13 as I said previously, but I tried to come with my own twists to her. It's not the most original thing, but those two are my favorite AC aces, after all.

Mine is inspired by the tone of sky crawlers, where everyone comes across a little detached and distant.
Obviously Ace Combat, Lylat Wars, Blazing Angels, are all great aviation games.
But I also draw from gears of war slightly for the tone and attitude of home country of my character.

There wasn't any specific inspiration in mind for writing up my characters; I had a handful of concepts I wanted to try out as different characters to play, and I wanted them to be from a 'non-western' culture and background too, as that was something I thought would add a bit of variety to the group as well.
Bring your pilots to Courier Field Airbase, the current time is 1300 hours and the briefing begins at 1320! If you get there a bit early, take your time getting acquainted with your new comrades, otherwise, Grizzly might be up for a conversation before the briefing.
@Gohan I'm pretty sure you can control them. Unless I'm missing or forgetting something, general rule is that anyone can control unimportant NPC's such as the base staff.

@Gohan, this is correct, actually. Feel free to control them, land and go from there. However, if you talk to Grizzly or somehow encounter Screwdriver, I'll be there in a flash!
I'll have my post up no later than Wednesday. I'm sorry for the delay, but weekends and up to Wednesday usualy are not very days forgiving to me. I'll do it faster if I can find the time, though.
PS: I'll have 00017 transfer from a carrier, hopefully it can see action someone again on the plot.
PRINCIPALITY OF REMONI - MINISTRY OF DEFENSE CONFIDENTIAL DOCUMENT
Five (5) Digit MOD Identification Number: 14325
Name: Gunther Huntero
Callsign: Sweet Tooth (Is this allowed? It's pretty simple.)
Age: 18
Country of Origin: The Republic of West Deindre
Appearance:
Faceless Type: Type A
Bio: Gunther, also known as Sweet Tooth, would be nowhere if it wasn't for his second-in-command/copilot/better-half Kara, also known as DollFace. Even when they were young, Kara would chase him around the makeshift airfield that his father used to land his crop dusters. Together they'd laugh and play and even watch his dad fly overhead when he was enlisted. It was almost an everyday thing. When Gunther became of age... The age of 9, his father taught him how to fly an old SU-33 that he used to teach other pilots back in the day how to fly. It was practically brand new since his father kept in pristine condition. It never had live ammunition in it, but his father never stressed enough to never press the fire button on the joystick. By the time he turned ten, Gunther could fly like he had been doing it his whole life. Kara would use an old radio in the barn to talk to them while they flew around. His father was impressed with her skill since that radio couldn't even pick up a radio station even if it was right next to it.
Everything was good, That was until the Federation of Satea attacked. August 1st, 2008... was a date that wouldn't be soon forgotten. Everyone was awoken by the sirens and the roars of jet fighters. Gunther woke up with a start as he ran outside trying to see what had happened. The city just on the horizon seemed like someone set the whole place on fire. The formations of jet fighters flew over leaving trails of burned fuel from missile pods.
"What is happening," Kara cried as she ran up the hill towards Gunther. They collided in a hug as he shielded her from what was happening in front of them. It was a brutal fight and all Gunther could remember was seeing the Angels fly overhead. 'Go get them dad,' he said to himself as he turned his attention to his mother who was frantically moving their things into the truck. He whispered to Kara that they had to get to his mother. They started to run over just before a stray or guided missile struck the house. The explosion was strong enough to send Kara airborne. If it wasn't for Gunther holding her hand, she might have been more seriously injured than she was. Gunther had grabbed onto the tether ball pole which was cemented into the ground and grounded him as well. He suffered a severe burn on his right hand but never let go of neither the pole nor Kara. The Satean's dropped bombs on the makeshift airfield that his father used.
Gunther told Kara to use the old radio, that she was already very fond of, to see if she could pick-up the radio traffic of the Angels. Gunther watched as she ran towards the barn then turned to run to help his mother. The truck was destroyed along with the whole left side of the house. Gunther fell to his knee's as he saw what became of his mother. He grabbed the burned black left hand of his mother and claimed the ring that was on her finger. He also found the necklace that he and his father got her. The rest of her body was nowhere to be seen. Bits and pieces of her were sprayed a whole fifty yard radius. The roar of jets snapped Gunther out of his tears as he rolled back over to his feet and ran towards the barn.
"I can't hear anything. It's all jumbled... I can't tell what is going on," Kara frantically cried as Gunther grabbed her hand again. "Forget it! We'll try again later! We got to get to my fathers Hangar. There's a cellar there. We should be safe there!"
After a good chunk of the fighting was done and over, the Deindre militia forces came. They found Kara and Gunther and took them to safety. It was two years later that Gunther ran away from the orphanage/homeless shelter to return home. He intended to make the journey alone, but Kara wasn't about to let that happen. Together they made it back to his fathers airfield. He removed the tarp that covered his fathers training jet. An old SU-33 that he was more than adept at flying. The Sateans would fly overhead every so often and it was his intention to shoot them down. It was easier said than done, since he could barely lift the missiles that were required to take them down.
His luck changed when an old family friend, Danny, found them trying to lift one of these highly explosive armaments. He was extremely opposed to the idea of a twelve year old boy flying a jet but after hearing his story, he helped them anyway. Kara jumped into the copilots seat while Gunther took the pilots seat.
Their first flight was pretty much just a practice mission. He flew very low and very fast. Kara almost passed out the first time they hit High G. It also didn't help that Gunther flew like he was apart of an airshow. It was their second flight that became their first mission. A Satean fighter split off from the group and was flying over the mountains. He didn't even see them coming as he had his cockpit blown to bits by the 30mm cannon of the SU-33. It was a fast and quick operation and the wreckage of the Satean fighter was scavenged by Gunther and Danny.
The Sateans flew overhead in search of their missing comrade but turned up with nothing. Kara constantly listened in for any solo fighters. One day they were lucky, as there was a dog fight and two Satean fighters escaped in need of desperate repairs. Again, Gunther took the the skies and made quick work of the fighters. This attack however didn't go unanswered. The Satean's located the old airport and began to question Danny, Kara, and Gunther before Danny gunned the soldiers down. Danny quickly rearmed the SU-33 and told them to fly to the Principality of Remoni. He had been hearing about some sort of program that was called Faceless something or other. As they took over, they received small arms fire and the death of their close friend Danny as he rebelled the best he could.
Gunther fortunately made it to Remoni. They were however out of fuel and he made an emergency landing at an unmarked airfield. Where he and Kara were apprehended by those of the Faceless organization. They were introduced as Sweet Tooth and DollFace. Soon after that, they were both enlisted as true faceless operative. They still use the same SU-33 code named, "War Hammer." When he turned 16, he already at 15 kills, and by the time he turned 17, he doubled it to 35. His missions slowed as he approached the age of 18 only having a total of 57 total enemy kills. He had several encounters with the extraterrestrial's however they all ended with a full retreat. Especially when the Sateans decided to bring into action their CAU's. Gunther always enjoyed watching their heads explode or go flying off when a missile connected with it. Never considered it a real kill though, since their pilots were in their chests or something.

Appearance:
Faceless Type: Type A
Bio: Kara isn't a super secretive person. Her family was killed when she was a young girl and Gunthers Father pretty much adopted her. However since he didn't have the proper permit and paperwork, she was secretly hidden inside the barn. Her education came from Gunthers mother who used to be a grade school teacher. She happened to find a knack for speaking, electronics, and communications. She was a god when it came to talking over the radio. Gunther could remember the terminology where as Kara excelled at it. There was never a day where they weren't in the sky.
Gunthers father always saw the two of them flying together for the Deindre Airforce. This of course never happened when the Sateans invaded. She never cared what could happen or what would happen. As long as she was with Gunther, she was safe. He was always there when she needed him. He was with his father when they found her. When the first bombs dropped and missiles fired, Gunther grabbed her and held onto her. She always felt, that somewhere deep inside her, she owed her life to him. She confessed her feelings for him multiple times, yet he always had that cold stare on his face. Even though he never said it back, she knew he loved her. His actions spoke stronger to her than any words ever could.
