There has always been worship.
In the earliest days of man, we revered the sun and it's awesome power of bringing both life and death; over time, the Sun would find itself personified with specific Deities - Gods, along with other things, both tangible and not. Life and Death; Sun and Moon; Water, Fire, Earth, Wind; War and Peace, Love and Conquest. Across the globe, across time and cultures, each society had their own names for these Deities - but some became more prominent in history than others.
As far as people in the 21st Century are concerned, this is because these civilisations were great. Egyptians, Greeks, the Vikings - they conquered, with great minds and greater power. We learned much from their teachings, from mathematics and sciences to the arts. But the people of ancient times and their religions had a far greater impact on our world than most will ever know. Their Gods were not just folktales written to explain the unknown.
They were real. Just as they are today - and they are not done with the Earth and her people just yet.
Greetings, ladies, gentlemen, and unidentifiable alien blob species! As you have no doubt gathered from the title and introduction, this roleplay will be centered around Gods, and their lovely bastard Demi-God children. Or perhaps not lovely - it all depends on you, after all. You are the writer.
In an attempt to stand apart from Percy Jackson, this will not be a high school-eqsue roleplay, with teenagers and young adults living and together. The original myths are rarely kind to it's heroes, so expect this tale to be equally as unkind. I can't promise a happy ending... it's all down to our champions.
Our story will begin with a surprise – or perhaps, better defined as a shock. Your Demi-God may have been going about their daily business; going to work or school, having lunch with friends, driving a car, when all of a sudden, they will find themselves... not doing those things. Their car will remain in the driveway of their home, their friends will not notice their disappearance, and their absence from work will go unnoticed. Our Champions will awake in a strange bed, in a strange hotel room, and it is only in taking that one brave step outside of the their door, that their quest will begin.
The following points are rather important if you would like to take place in the roleplay, so kindly read them all.
If anybody has queries, you may ask myself, or my 3 Co-GMs; @McHaggis, @Undine, and @HalfofLancelot.
Claimed Faceclaims:
As the Gods will be making appearances, the following faces have been claimed for them - take a look to see one you're using for your own character isn't on here.
Please keep in mind that the appearance of the God will have no basis on the ethnicity or appearance of your character - genetics aren't particularly passed down when it comes to Gods and magic.
Additionally, not every God listed will be available as a parent - but as they are making an appearance, they have a faceclaim.
If your Godly parent is not on the list, feel free to choose your own F/C.

- This is a high-casual Roleplay. I will not accept someone who cannot write something with basic correct grammar and spelling. Posting requirements won't be extremely stringent - more than one paragraph, once a week. If you're unable to post for more than a week, it's not issue – just let me know beforehand; a mention in the OOC will do.
- It is unnecessary as of now to reserve a certain God or Goddess for your Demi-God. In most myths, they were super sluts, so it's a very good chance that they have off-spring everywhere. Caps will only be applied to Gods – or overall Pantheons – if there are too many, and the other ones need to be filled up more.
- Children of Titans, Giants, Spirits, Demons, or mythological beasts will not be accepted. Gods and Goddesses only please – also keeping in mind the three pantheons, and virginal Goddesses. If you're unsure, check the myths – if the God doesn't have any Demi-God children in the myths, they won't have any now.
- Because Gods are all-mighty and powerful, they can change form, size, and appearance. This includes their physical sex, so if y'all want Ra to be your character's Mother, or Sif to be your character's father, that is entirely possible.
- There's no real limit on the ages, but keep it reasonable people. Gods aren't going to pick five year olds or 80-year-olds to go on a quest now, are they.
- This should go without saying, but keep drama to a minimum. If you have a disagreement about anything; be it the acceptance of somebody's character, or a post in the IC, let me know via PM. As for your own posts, refrain from God-Modding, Over-Powered Characters, Mary/Gary-Sues, and of course, no discriminatory behaviour of any kind.
- As for powers, your character may be aware they have them, or they may not. It is entirely up to you, as the roleplayer. However, the presence or even existence of Gods will not be known to them, just as it isn't known to anyone on this earth. They may have an inkling of Godly parentage – if they somehow came to that conclusion – but they would have no proof.
- When submitting your character, post them in the OOC tab - they have to wait for approval before going into the Characters tab. There is no limit on how many characters you make, just be sure you can handle them all.
