It's okay by me, I've been following your trace Griffin because you're interesting. As for conversation no worries there because one of my terrifying talents is tied to communication. she say's with a smile as she moves closer to him.

Griffin shook his head. "Communication is not my job. Usually I leave that up to my brother. He is much better with people then I am. I do not think that communciation is terrifying. It is simply difficult. I imagine such a talent would be helpful. I am not familiar with the Goddess you speak of. I have never studied such things. They would not be of use to me. As for the school it is mostly a good place. You can learn almost anything here." He didn't really think of the school as anything of anything but a place to sharpen his skills. It was also a place where Zack could socialize safely.

Hachi raised a brow as violet spoke. "I am sure your friend meant no harm" he then blinked. "Oh I am new here to so I do not know. I am discovering new things just as you are" he then rubbed his neck and looked away before looking back at her. "I was racing my brother....who I have set loose on the unsuspecting population" that sounded like a joke...and it was. A small glimpse of his humor.

"I have a feeling with heros like batman and BlackPanther that there will be some non powered heros here. But I'm not certain." he put his hands back and leaned on them while sitting. "My mother is storm. My brother and I don't know who our father is." he had a small look that went through his eyes, but it was gone from the grey abyss as soon as it appeared.

Violet thought she could see Jasper up ahead talking to a couple of people. She laughed at his joke and said, "Well, let's join him and see if we can't find out more about this place." Violet grinned and lifted them both in the air about 6 inches and flew them up to where Jasper was talking. Once they got there she set them down carefully. "Here, you can lean on me if you need to, I can see that it hurts."

"Hi I'm Violet. Hey Jasper. Hachi and I came to see what we could find out about this place. Have you guys been here before? " Violet smiled. She was trying really hard to make friends and even going out of her way to do it.

Kyle raised an eyebrow at the newly appeared students. He had wanted to come to the gardens to spend some time with Kalinda, but he knew he needed to make friends. Kyle kissed Kalinda's cheek and stood up. He gave a slight bow, waving his hands around, and spoke confidently.

"How do you do? My name is Kyle Grayson. Legacy of the Bat Family, Son of Nightwing and Batgirl, The legendary -" Kyle said and he did a small flip off a bench next to them and landing on his feet with he knees slightly crouched and his hand to his face. He suddenly sprung up and pointed to the sky, "Boy Wonder! Do not be afraid, stars like me only come every few generations."

Violet laughed at Kyle's introduction. "I'm guessing you are in theatre." She said grinning. She turned to Kalinda and said, "I'm betting he keeps you laughing a lot." She looked at Jasper and Hachi and asked Kyle and Kalinda. "So are you returning from last year? All three of us are new and would love to know more about things here at the school."

Kyle put his hands behind his head as he spoke. "Nah I am new here this year too, Kalinda is a returning student though."

The sun shone brightly and Violet reached for her sunglasses and realized that they were gone. She stopped to think where they were and she remembered taking them off in the cafeteria. "Excuse me, I left my shades in the cafeteria. I'll be right back." Violet ran back to the cafeteria. She was also hoping to see Griffin again if he was still there. She didn't want him to think she was mad at him. Violet opened the door and walked across the cafeteria to see her shades on the table and to see another girl talking to Griffin.

El smiled as she listened to his answer then said to Griffin I was teasing about the terrifying part; that or being self-deprecating. Because of my total lack of either offensive or defensive ability which usually defines those of us with extra normal talents. I can as I previously stated speak, read or write in any language then there is my secondary talent which allows me to read the past.

Beyond those two talents I have nothing, I don't even have a self defense class to fall back on unless you count my fight or flight reflexes.

She looks into Griffin's eyes and gives him a mock pout then a big smile
I know I'm being silly but truth is that it is a diversion from the fact that I am a little nervous.

Tsura listens to both girls encouragement and blushed at their praise.

She was unused to being told such things by her parents or the Brotherhood. They instead had always simply told her to push her control and prove her genetic heritage.

"Well, it might be connected to the fact Dad was doing a lot for the academy, in connection to what happened before...and it's amazing how many people what his opinion at the tower. It was either pick up the slack, or let things go crazy there" he said, wondering if that was the confidence boost, "honestly, I think he just did it deliberately. He's always believed in me"

There had been a few moments of panic, as he realised that somehow, everything fell to him. "you know, he'd always drag me to the tower whenever school let out. I had more fun in the R&D then anywhere else, but I think he just did more work so I could pick it up" He smiled, remembering the times of being in a meeting room, more interested in what he was trying to piece together then whatever was going on, and sometimes his father would just lean over, and whisper something to him.

"So I spent it kinda running the company, doing some building stuff, and trying to find out all I could about what's going on" He said, "What did you do?"

"Impressive." Kijani said softly, and completely meant it. "Despite your father's reasons, it looks like that kind of work did you some good. I'm proud of you, Connor. As for me, I..." She sighed very softly, starting to play with her hair in a rare show of anxiety. "It was suggested that I find out who I am when I have no agenda. After everything that happened last year, I-" Her voice choked up momentarily. It seems even the memory of that pain could still burn. "I realized that I didn't really have any hobbies that didn't have to do with combat, or espionage. That with no mission, I didn't really have any... any self. So I took some of the money I've saved up, and I went on a road trip. Spain, France, Italy, and then I popped over to Japan. I've brought you gifts - I hope they're your size. I also discovered I really do like dancing just to dance. I also enjoy food, and I found out I rather enjoy video games. There's this one game that combines dancing AND being a game, and I really like it."

Emily Nakajima

" Well, I don't want to make you embarrassed in front of anyone or any of your new friends." She told her told her younger sister while patting her head. Nakajima felt confident in her speed knowing that she could match many other people's speeds but she knew she could never outrun a speedster or an Olympic runner, or someone that was just running since birth, but she knew that she could run pretty fast and cover a long distance without needing to stop and catch her breath. Her sister, on the other hand, was a different story. Naka did a couple stretches limbering up before she would race her sister." I'm still giving you a headstart Jin-Jin, I will catch up to you." She told her sister.

Unlike Jin, Emily did not take a runner's pose, she kept her casual stance and the moment Jin yelled. "GO!" Emily simply jogged slowly at first not burning all of her energy, then she began catching up to Jin without hesitating, she kept up next to Jin without breaking a sweat.

Jin was going at a pretty fast clip. Unfortunately, she could feel her sister's presence behind her, and forced her legs faster. It was probably the worst move she could have made. Jin gained a bit of distance, but before long, she was starting to slow down. Her legs were burning like they'd been stung with a thousand bees, and Naka's steady stride quickly overtook her as she started flagging. Even her frustration couldn't spur her on - she was just meant for long distance running.

Unaware that she had a brief audience, Kassy waded into the water to the waist, her gaze fixed on the lake. She went utterly still, not even seeming to breathe. Then her hand shot out, and she held up a small fish. "Oh... you're barely a snack." She sighed and ate it anyway, crunching down rather loudly. "Hm. Maybe the others got here before me..."

Phoebe gave Tsura a smile, and a hug. "You'll be okay. Everyone was in the same boat, once" She smiled again, and looked to Katherin as well.

"Anyway, I have a lunch meeting with Dad, so I'll catch you two in gym" Phoebe said, giving them both a smile, rising to go. She made good time, and ended up in her fathers office a little early, just in time to swing Clark Kent and Tony stark leaving. She gave them a friendly smile, and entered the office.

Phoebe had spent many hours in this office, the last few weeks especially. Just spending time with her father. And, sometimes, her mother joined them. There were times when it seemed to Phoebe that they were just a normal family. Her parents could hide it all they wanted, but the casual touches, the subtle glances, told her that they loved each other.

And...her.

She studied her father, frowning slightly at what she saw. "I'm not foolish dad. And I am your daughter. You don't think I haven't put together my own portfolio on what's going on out there? And who attacked the school, today? Ryan and I have been putting it together the last few weeks, we're our fathers children after all."

Bruce turned to face his only child, the daughter be watched grow up from afar. The girl who had given him pride, as in all her endeavors she had succeeded. Who had known her own mind, and come to the school, had left with her mother, and then had known where she was needed. Who even now, was doing what she thought was best for the academy and her fellow students.

"Sometimes I see you as the little girl on her fifth birthday, just learning about her powers. You've grown so much, Phoebe. And every day I'm more proud of you then I ever have been"

Phoebe gave an almost abashed smile, "I had a poster of you, when I was a kid. I don't think that's a coincidence, now. I've had that poster since I was five. Mum sent it with the letter. It's hanging up on the wall in my apartment. Sometimes...looking at it made me think...somewhere out there, someone was watching. They cared enough to send me that letter and poster.

I know why you did what you did. With the treaty, all the villains who hadn't signed would have gone after me to use against you. I'm just glad to...know now.

But I'm not that little girl anymore. I have to figure out where I belong in this world of being normal and being a hero. We both know I could have graduated at the end of the year, last year. And we both know I stayed because we wanted that closeness, but Dad, we've had that all summer.

I want to use this year to figure out who I'm going to be out there, how I'm going to juggle being a...well, being your daughter, being a wife, and a career woman, with being a hero. I want to use this year to refine Devil's snare, and be the best hero I can be.

You need to stop treat me, and the other students, like we can't handle what's going on. We'll be okay, dad. We've had the best teaching us"

She gave her father a hug, holding him close, and smiling happily when he enfolded her into his warmth, his sturdiness. She stepped back after a moment, and said with a bright smile, "So shall I share what I have, or should you share what you have?"

Connor stopped, and turning, he enfolded Kijani into a hug. Everything that had happened, the end of the year...Connor still thought what would have happened, if he hadn't gotten her message. If he hadn't known what to do.

"Sweetheart, I've seen who you are, without agendas. You never had any with me. Actually, I was the one with the agenda there" He said, giving her a smile, "Although I didn't expect to be taught that two minute noodles suck" He was hoping to make her smile, and take her away from the demons of the previous year. "You're an amazing person." He said softly, not letting her go just yet.

"And yes, Video games are pretty cool. Just Dance? Is that the one?"

Kalinda made a sound as Kyle stood up, an almost pathetic mewing sound like a cat disturbed, before stretching out, watching his theatrics. She smiled, and nodded when Violet spoke to her. "yeah" She said softly, to herself. "He does" And wasn't that something?

"I reckon she was here for the stuff before" She said as violet ran off, "Or she wouldn't bewanting to know about the school" She gave a shrug, and managed to stand without falling flat on her face.

Griffin shrugged. "I am not good at understanding teasing. I am rather serious and blunt." he explained. He would probably never understand joking. It wasn't something he had alot of experience in. He had watched Zack tease and joke for years but he still didn't truly understand. He accepted his limits. Some things he was good at others Zack was. Together they could do almost anything. "There is no need to be nervous. There are lots of new students. Like Violet." he indicated to the girl that just entered the gym.

"You will find that many students here are very understanding. Most of the staff is supportive. You just need to do your best and you'll be fine." Katherin reassured Tsuara. It was important that they all supported. It was rarely easy to be the child of a hero. Her father was very supportive and encouraging but she still struggled with confidence. Mostly because she wanted to be as good as her dad someday.

Kyle Grayson

Kyle ran his fingers through his hair and smiled. He was feeling much better, like he could go a hundred rounds with the joker himself. Kyle wrapped his hand around Kalinda's waist nervously and gave a hearty laugh.

"My sweet emotional rainbow how about we get you back to your room. Lets skip Gym class. Plus I still need to go see my grandfather."

Kyle looked Hachi.

"Sorry my new friend, I need to get....my friend somewhere more private." Kyle realized how that sounded and he blushed. "I-I-mean not not like that. You get it."

Kyle pulled out a piece of paper with his room number on it and gave it to Hachi.

"Come by sometime so we can hang."

Jasper tilted his head as his brother and violet approached. Concern was clear on the younger brother. He then watched Kyle do a flip and do his speech he lightly created a ball of fire and it was about to move to Kyle and spin around him until a large blown of water landed on Jasper. Now wet he huffed at Hachi who's lip twitched. A sign of a smile.

As soon as violet left Jasper went to Hachi and let him lean. Hachi still looked a tad uncomfortable to be talking to people but he tilted his head. He choose not to comment when Kyle said somewhere private while Jasper snickered somewhat. Hachi took the paper and blinked. Did he just make a friend."Thank you." Jasper, still supporting Hachi grinned at Kyle. "Dude we will totally hang"

Hachi was faking it good but it was starting to be more obvious that his ankle was hurting. It was still bruised and still a bit swollen. He was also leaning quite a bit on his brother who was supporting him with ease. It was clear that Hachi was not one to be emotional or let people know that he was in pain.

Violet heard Griffin say her name and she stopped as she put her shades on her head. "Oh, um, Yes, I'm new this year." She blushed and looked at Griffin. Violet walked over and Whispered in Griffin's ear. "I hope you aren't mad at me. I'll catch up with you later ok?" She kissed him on the cheek and turned and left to go back to the others.

On her way back she stopped by the nurse's office and got an ice pack for Hachi's ankle and a compression wrap. Violet went back to the others and she walked over to Hachi and she lifted him into the air about a foot, taking the pressure off of his ankle and his brother. She smiled at Hachi and said, "I hope you don't mind. After I got my shades I went to the nurse and got you a couple of things." Violet waved her hand at a bench and it flew to right behind Hachi so he could sit and take care of his ankle. "I hope it helps. I've twisted mine before and it hurt for weeks."

"Perhaps you should go see him now" Kalinda said, amusement playing over her face, "You might find it worthwhile" She flicked a glance at the others there, and with a small smile, She took some of Hachi's pain, as it started to become overwhelming for him. She neutralised it, and dispersed it harmlessly. She then let Kyle lead her away, "I don't need to go to my room. I'm okay, now" She said, although she yawned again "Some food, and I'll be right as rain" But the thought of skipping gym was appealing.

sweet emotional rainbow played around in her head. Well, emotions could have colour. She managed not to yawn again, "And maybe some coffee" The stimulant was dangerous fo Kalinda, and yet she loved the stuff. A little bit never hurt.

Toto was back, winding between Rebekah's legs, now as some kind of dragon. She wondered if he was just showing off with his shapeshifting now, or if he always changed shape this often. "OK, thanks anyway" she whispered to him. "At least we're all safe now."

Rebekah wasn't buying Arachne's talk of being totally fine, at least not as much as she claimed. She'd fallen hard, banged her head, and taken a worryingly long time to get her bearings and stagger to her feet. Still, she could understand the other girl's desire to appear strong and self-sufficient in front of her new classmates. If she said to back off, Rebekah would.

"Morning classes have just been cancelled," she told Arachne, "so we're all free until gym after lunch. And speaking of lunch, I don't have burgers, but I can whip something up if you give me a moment."

It took a little bit of digging, but in a few moments Rebekah found a stick of beef jerkey in her bag, and pulled it out for Arachne to see. She then grew it to about twice the size it had been, snapped it in half, and placed one part back in her bag.
The remainder, she handed to Arachne before beginning to grow the dried meat again. "Tell me when to stop" she told her.

Kyle smiled and watched as Kalinda slightly swayed on her feet, but she was able to stand so that was a positive.

"I would love to see Grandpa, but I am slightly worried about you. Your right lets get you some food."

Kyle walked away, then walked back to Kalinda.

"Ok two things. Sorry almost forgot you, and I dont know where else we can go to get more food besides the cafeteria. I am thinking I should let you navigate us to food and coffee, then to Grandpas office."

Kyle held out his hand and slightly bowed at Kalinda, very theatric like.

Hachi let himself be put on the bench and took the items he shrugged. "I don't mind...thank you" he wrapped up his ankle as if he had done that before. He then sat back on his hands and tilted his head. "you know I'm fairly certain this is the most I've ever socialized with other people."

Jasper sat next to his brother and nodded. "It is because for some reason you get all nervous around people." Hachi huffed. Jasper stuck his tongue out at his brother then looked at violet. "What do you want to do?" Hachi glanced at violet with curiosity. Usually that question started sparring...since Jasper was usually all to eager to do so. To Hachi, violet didn't seem quite the type for spontaneous sparring, but then again he could be wrong.

Kalinda smiled slightly at Kyle, accepting his hand. Kyle was goofy, sweet, adorable. He was quirky. he was kind, and she enjoyed his company. She just couldn't put a finger on what it was she liked about him. SHe just did. He was just simply genuine. His emotions, his actions...they weren't made up for appearances. They were just all Kyle.

"The cafeteria is the only place to get food, really. The dorms have a kitchen, but I haven't stocked any food yet" She said, leading Kyle back towards the cafeteria, allowing herself to simply bask in the warmth of his emotions.

Upon entering the cafeteria, which was just arting to get busy, Kalinda led the way over to the food, grabbing a plate. She studied the selection, frowning slightly, before grabbing a couple of slices of vegetarian pizza, some fries, and grabbed a can of coke, the closest thing to caffine she could see, waiting for Kyle, although she didn't know how he could put in anymore food after the mountain of protein bars he had eaten earlier, before nabbing a table, sitting down gratefully, she bit into a slice of pizza.

Violet looked at Jasper and said, "I don't know. I'm okay hanging out here with Hachi if you want to go explore or something. If that is okay with Hachi." Violet blushed a little. She really wasn't used to talking to boys this much. She looked at Hachi and said, "And I thought I was quiet, why don't you talk to people? You don't appear to be scared of them so why not socialize a little."

Violet looked at the brothers and she thought that they both seemed nice but Jasper was probably a little too social for her. She liked to be more in the background most of the time. She had made so much effort to make friends today she felt like she was getting worn out trying. She never realized making friends could be so tiring and intimidating. Hachi seemed more her speed than Jasper so she opted to stay there and hang out with him.

Nakajima began gradually reaching her younger sibling as she started moving at full speed this race was almost close to a light jog to her. Just as Nakajima began passing Jin, she began to slow down to Jin's pace as she could tell she was starting to break down and get tired. While she kept slowly moving she patted the back of her belt." Come on, Grab my belt I'll drag you there if I have to." She held her hand out for Jin awaiting her hand. Nakajima didn't think she would embarrass Jin by giving her this helping hand.

Jasper tilted his head and then nodded. He looked at Hachi who gave a small head nod. Jasper turned and headed toward the cafeteria. He seemed fine with leaving his brother with violet possibly because if he needed him he could call him telepathically. Handy thing that ability.

Hachi gave a small shrug. "I am not sure how to explain it...I prefer interacting with one stranger at a time...in groups it's harder to interact...people get louder and I just" he gave a small shrug again.
"I guess people make me uncomfortable." he stuck his hands in his hoodie pockets and made eye contact. Cool grey eyes met here and he seemed to study her for a moment. He then looked away and rubbed the back of his neck.

"You seem worn out...why not sit down?" changing the subject since he couldn't explain why he didn't like groups of people...he just doesn't. His brother was always popular where he was always in the background. Oddly reversed from norms where usually the older brother is the popular one. However, older individuals did find Hachi to be more of an old soul. Someone they could speak to more maturely and be able to hold conversations with him. So while he wasn't popular with his own age, he was often around adults.

Violet sat down on the bench leaving a little space between them. "It's not even lunch yet and I'm already...worn out in some ways, I guess that would be a good way to put it. I've only gone to private girls' schools or had private tutors. But I always got along with boys better than most girls. I guess it made me feel very lonely at school. I think that's why I fought my mother so hard on coming here." Violet stared off into space a little bit and she looked back at Hachi. "I've been trying really hard today to make friends and it's just harder for me than most I guess.I guess you understand that don't you?" She blushed a little.

Violet looked down at his foot. "Can you tell if it's making a difference with your foot yet?"
