Name: Medb of Connacht
Class: Rider
Other Classes: Lancer, Caster
Parameters:
Strength: B
Endurance: C
Agility: B+
Mana: C
Luck: E
Despite her lithe body, Medb is known to be a ferocious queen that rides to battle alongside her subjects. She brags at times about how she beat her brothers in combat so she could be chosen as the heir, and while she's not as great as heroes such as Cu, she is still quite skilled at using a spear, her weapon of choice. However, she prefers to not actually dive into battle unless she is leading her army, as she is a sovereign first rather than a warrior.
Appearance:
Despite being summoned as her older self with quite a different personality, Medb still looked similar to how she would look when she's younger due to Golden Rule (Body) preserving her beauty, although her expressions shows her age clearly.
Background:
Medb, Queen of Connacht. Mere normal men saw her less as a person and more of a goddess. Eternally lustful, with a divinely constructed physique. She was known to have many lovers, and her husbands killed each other just to be the one on her side. She knew of this fact, and utilize it to gain more influences wherever she could.
She was also known to be prideful and ambitious. One of the famous tale about her was how she, on a whim, declared a raid on the land of Ulster to steal a magic bull after a bedroom spat with her husband of the time. However, her campaign was stopped by a boy barely through his puberty - Cu Chullain, soon to be Hero of Ulster. No matter what she threw at him, he refused to budge. He was the man chosen to be the hero of the story, and she was reduced to a villain fated to lose more and more humilliatingly, no matter what kind of oppositions she presented before the hero. Even in the end after the final battle, where she managed to come home with the bull she sought, it proceeded to fight with her husband's bull, and causing a mutual death.
After all the sacrifices she did for that whim of hers, everything she did only led to nothing. Even at one point, at her moment of weakness, she was in complete mercy of Cu, her nemesis. Not once did she budge or plead for mercy even when she was in no position to fight, even if she was sure that the hero would have killed her. Yet, he didn't, and protected her until she could escape. That was what hurt her the most from the campaign. That time, even if they were enemies, she felt something she couldn't explain about the young hero, yet before she could say anything, he had disapeared from her life.
Failures continued to haunt her life. Blinded by her hatred for the king of Ulster, she visited a druid and asked which of her son would kill the man. Once the witch gave her a name, she didn't waste her time to rename every single one of her son into that name, to defy any chance of fate screwing her over. Yet, as if it was done in retaliation, the only person any of them managed to kill was someone with the same name as the king, in a cruel twist of irony. Her only daughter, one she unabashedly offered to warriors to secure their aid in her conquest, dropped dead in shame once the girl learned on how her mother used her and how many people died because of her.
The aftermath of that battle continued to haunt her life. Her own husband Ailill, realizing that Medb was getting closer with the hero Fergus, had him killed by an assassin. The realization of that fact made Medb slowly losing her ability to trust in others. When her husband was having an affair later, she saw it fit to get him killed by a former hero of Ulster, perhaps out of revenge.
Her inability to trust ended up being her demise. After one of her orders got a woman killed, the woman's son decided to kill the queen, and after stalking her for a while to her bathing place, he killed her by shooting a piece of cheese to her forehead.
An undignified death to someone barely having any dignity left.
Personality:
Long gone was the carefree, hedonistic side of dear Maeve. While she is still as ambitious and manipulative as ever, she is more reserved and yet, even more spiteful than one normally would expect her to be. After all, this was the woman that reshaped the landscape of Ulster due to her sheer hatred of the land. A prideful queen from coronation to death, it is understandable to see how much of that crumbled as she is forced into a life full of failures.
A woman that could not trust anyone, a woman that realized that she existed in history to be overshadowed by the one man she could never possess. She lost many things, she lost any chance to feel any genuine love, something she understood and bitterly accepts. For the sake of maintaining the fleeting power she has, she is someone that would do anything for it, even discarding her humanity. Even so, while others would find her to be cruel and manipulative, her direct subjects admires her, finding her to be wise and fair, caring like a mother. She has no desire in any form of servitude, and will make it clear that she is the Master of her summoner. Failure to accept that will result in death.
She is a woman that will never yield, not even in the face of fate that continued to torment her, time after time. Her wealth, her family, her own body, all is just a tool that she will unhesitatingly use to gain any edge to attain victory, for her and her men. Hollow as it could be, she choose to fight with all that she could in the Grail war, because she thought that perhaps a small ray of glory will brighten her day a little.
She has no wishes for the grail that she'll admit, but deep inside, she hopes that she can feel the overflowing love of her earlier days once more.
Class Skills:
Riding A: The ability to ride any mounts, with the exception of Phantasmal and Divine Beasts. Medb's rank here is peculiar since her primary qualification for this skill is the ability to ride men, figuratively and literally.
Magic Resistance B: The ability to resist the effect of spells. Cancel spells with a chant below three verses. Even if targeted by High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for them to be affected.
Personal Skills
Bow Before Your Queen B: A skill relating to her capability as a leader that rather than translating into the capability of someone to rouse and lead a mass, it becomes an innate nature that pushed people to kneel and serve her. Against males, the skill would gain a rank up to A in cloxe proximity, unable to be resisted unless they possess a considerable level of willpower to resist it. A skill encompassing Alluring Nightingale and Charisma, a fitting skill for the Queen of Kings.
Golden Rule (Body) A: The possession of a perfect, goddess-like body. No matter how much time had passed, no matter what happened to her, the state of her body would never deteriorate. Immune to any kind of afflictions, and even if she's damaged, her body will correct itself over time if she is not killed.
Queen's Adoration A: A skill of give and take. Allows Medb to show her appreciation to her subjects with blessings and favors, and on the flipside, allows her subjects to act as her shields and mana supply.
At A Rank, fighting prowess, stamina, and zeal would be increased. Even her subjects that ranks as a common man or soldiers would be able to combat Heroic Spirits (to a limited degree) as long as they fight for her cause.
Noble Phantasms:
Medb Lethderg - Divine Mother of those Who Raises their Spear
Rank: A
Target: Anti-Self
Medb, being an incarnation of a long-gone goddess, could take in some of the divine aspect within her, allowing her to give birth to an army. By using her blood, she could create soldiers based on people whose genetic data had been stored within her body during intercourse. Being the older incarnation of the figure, the desire of conquest that fueled this Noble Phantasm was not as strong as before, which limited her capability to raise an army, but on the other hand, she could properly give birth to degraded Heroic Spirits such as Fergus with enough mana supply behind her.
As she embodied the concept of a queen that reigned above men, this Noble Phantasm also allowed her to claim feats belonging to her subordinates as her own and utilize it to her heart's content. Even acquisition of Noble Phantasms and combat prowess is available to a limited degree.
Clan Calatin ~ Twenty-eight Face of Resentment
Rank: B+
Target: Anti-Army (100-500)
A Noble Phantasm that summoned a poisonous monster, a masterpiece of depravity. The twenty eight warriors that Medb sent to fight Cu formed a giant monster with twenty eight faces at the words of their leader. It was a giant who could kill any normal human with a touch, and even warriors would succumb to its poison if the beast could wound them in any way. Capable of separating into smaller independent pieces of warriors and attack from any points of its body. Not exactly something Medb would call as her trump card, but she does have little interest in deploying this unless the situation really calls for it.
Táin Bó Cúailnge ~ A Conquest for Our Beloved Queen
Rank: B
Target: Anti-Army (100-500)
The crystallization of her ill-fated conquest of the land of Ulster, taking form of her iron chariot pulled by the two magic bulls Finnbhennach and Donn Cuailnge. Once charging, nothing will stop the progress of the chariot as it will trample anything on its path towards its destination, even forcing its way through impossible landscape if necessary. While she's on this chariot, her subjects will be roused and fight more valiantly, further increasing [Queen's Adoration]'s effect on them. However, the presence of any hostile individuals identifiable as a Hero with apparent age below 20 would prevent her from deploying this Noble Phantasm.
