Centralisation removed. Farmlands now awarded to Lords, who are subsequently taxed. Standing army to be further elaborated IC so that I don't run out of shit to say.

If I am stepping on toes, move my shit to the other peninsula along the way. Location isn't hella important really, so long as I am not far as fuck from the action.

My first IC is up. I've left some suggestions in there to get the plot going, feel free to take me up on it if you want to.

Seriously though who wants to get invaded? My main plot idea is my lot having this tradition where they go on religiously fuelled mega-raid every couple of years or so to appease their crazy and angry god. Proper like scorched earth level raiding.

@Kassarock Well, a coastal village has been raided in my intro. Might be your guys, might be someone else. I'll let you decide.

@Kassarock Maybe it's an early scout to test the Maods resolve. Or maybe it's the full-blown invasion right away, and poor Kadri is walking right into an ambush. :P

If you desperately want a scrap, Irea soldiers will probably give it to you. Then again, that might be more of a full-fledged war kinda thing, so we'll see.

Putting this out there so people aren't confused -- The Seolhi don't speak Common/Basic/Whatever we're calling English, so they sound like cavemen when they try to speak it. Lines in Seolhi are this color, lines in English are without color. This'll come more into play when there are actual interactions, but I figured I'd make some note of it now.

@DeadBeatWalking To be honest that's actually a good idea for all of us, do we want to have some kind of common tongue, or should we make things more difficult?

So my CS is basically done, though I will add more to it when I have time. Basically gobliny/beastmen type monsters led by weird priests of an ancient dragon. Fun!

Ireans/Marecam/Nahret all speak one tounge, and traders probably speak more because, well traders. The rest won't I don't think. Green to denote Irean, Normal to denote another language.

@Kassarock Quick question -- Are ya'll coming by land or sea? If by sea, the Seolhi fanatically patrol the bay all their islands are in because viking territorialism, so that might be an element in the invasion. Just some food for thought.

On text color: I really don't like the idea of changing text color. You can just as easily just write, "X said in Y-language" or some variation there-of.

But really it's probably very likely that people may be more monolingual than bilingual so it may not be too much of an issue. With a map that's about four-hundred-fifty miles north-to-south it'll be difficult to justify how so many small state-lets speak their own individual nations and not dialects of the same language. Outside of a few 'non-native' types like the Seolhi and Misruvani there's probably not going to be an insane diversity of language, and all might very well be in the same language group and pretty much mutually intelligible.

@Dannyrulx

You're good to be in, but would you mind if I move you more south? It'd make much more sense for you to be a couple miles across south across the straights as opposed to being in the rocky highlands of the middle land-mass.

@Vilageidiotx

You're good, just going to wait on confirmation on whether or not Danny'll allow me to move him south.

Sure. All I really need is for Narhet to have a natural cove for the great port, and at least some mountains and that's fine. @Dinh AaronMk

@Kassarock Nice intro. I was wondering, how would you like the upcoming conflict to play out? Personally, I'm thinking "Bad Battle" - a bloody mess for both sides with small victories (your guys get to the safety of the sea / my guys manage to drive you away) but major losses (a lot of dead warriors on both sides), but I'm open for suggestions. I'm also up for discussing it via PM if you're so inclined. EDIT: on a closer inspection, I might have underestimated how many warriors your guys have brought with them. How many are there in the remains of that village, in fact?

@DeadBeatWalking If the letter the Sea King sent was intended for the Maod, would you like me to recieve and present it in my next post? If so, what does it say (discuss it via PM perhaps)? Or would you rather like me to introduce a messenger from the Seolhi, or something, so that you can present the letter yourself?
