@FamishedPants
Eh Vesta will regard him with the same amount of fucks she gives most people.
Zero. XD
PS: Vesta would still fight him XD

And she would win without fail, currently. Heinrich is more or less useless in a fight. All of his blessings give him the capacity to be godlike at anything he does... he just kinda needs to do it first. He would certainly be a terrifying Earth mage if Vesta was to teach him.

But she's an attractive girl, so there's problems on his end about that. We'll ignore the fact that I am not too confident Vesta would ever want to train him to begin with XD

EDIT: @Rune_Alchemist Sorry to see yet another one go, I wish you well on the adventure known as "Life".

I probally am not mentioning everyone who would hear him, but for the sake of not mentioning everyone in the RP I'm only going to mention those who my characters are directly interacting with, and not simply who might be near by. That being said, if I'm doing anything that would affect your character, indirectly or not, I will do my best to mention you so you can take it into account.

To that end I gotta ask, where is that explosion and how close is it? Vesta is apparently close enough to hear and get to the scene, and I feel it's very out-of-character for Malakaus to just ignore it. But I'm uncertain just where it's at and how easy it'd be for him to notice it.

Vesta didn't hear it. I'll explain how later as the roleplay goes on as I reveal Vesta's full array of earth magic :P
Also decent point. But Duncan heard it and he wasn't that far away from our group so who knows.

Exactly my thoughts XD
Vesta would train anyone really if you can convince her. Though her training is spartan and she wouldn't go easy on you XD (Even ask poor, poor defenceless Avery XD). Plus Vesta's own blessing can kinda do the same >.> (Only in earth magic though. So while he mightn't be able to best her in that, he still has the other 5 to throw at her XD)
Think being thrown into a gladiator ring with no weapons or armor and you have to beat a five bears, three lions, seven tigers and twenty fully armed gladiators by yourself using just magic and that's Vesta's basic training for beginners XD

Alright, I decided that Vesta is Toph. We'll have her learn that positive reinforcement is imperative to his success as the Avatar. Except it isn't and if we put Heinrich through that, he would survive, but might be a little bit mentally scared (read as: a lottle bit).

EDIT: Added Heinrich to my characters post, gave him a fighting theme.

Toph huh?
Well you're right on more than one account by comparing her to Toph. Minus the blindness of course XD
Also on the topic of adding him, has he even been accepted yet? XD

I do what I want. Also I got the OK from the Co-GM, still waiting for the GM's response, though. I placed it in the characters tab so it would be easier to find.

Had a long week. Workin' on a post, it's just coming somewhat slowly.

@Lucius Cypher

To be fair, the first two blasts came from flash and frag grenades, so Duncan, who spent six years at war and the entirety of his teenage years training as a commando wouldn't exactly have to be standing close by to pick that noise out from the background, and I tried to subtly infer that he got there quicker than most would be able to due to the freakish strength of his legs.

That last explosion leveled a few houses, though. So everyone in or around the tavern should've heard that one and seen a helluva smoke plume. <_<

I can't say I know the structural strange of quasi-medieval fantasy buildings, but that must have been a fair powerful grenade to level a "few" houses. It's not like those houses are made of twigs or something, I mean hell, if it's strong enough to level a few houses than I'm sure there's a lot more damage than just the initial explosion. That's got to be strong enough to rip people apart if they're close enough to the blast, or even get shredded by the shrapnel. Even if it's a slum shanty, you'd think one fragmentation grenade wouldn't have the sheer concussive force to blow down houses it's not even near. And what caught on fire exactly? Or was the place already on fire? because from my understanding there are two places right now that are massively on fire, one which is where you're at, and another where that masked mad man just left from.

Killing one or two people in their homes or in an alley way is one thing, but damn the security is shite if they can't catch someone who just blew up a few houses and set a whole building on fire.

I think the originally post said it just severely damaged a nearby slum house, which probably wasn't very strong to begin with.

Edit: All in all I think they might have overdone the damage slightly is all.

Well... the grenades didn't actually level anything, that was the bandit-guy pulling a Voltorb with his death. o_o;

Still, to answer the original question, Vesta got there quick enough, so it can't be that far. Pretty sure Malakaus being both a) Crazy badass and b) A local knight who actually knows his way around town could get there proper quick if he wanted. >_>

Edit: Wait, just checked again, it really was just the one house. Miiiight've jumped the gun on that one. *insert nervous laughter here*

I might have him do that. Just got to get through this current post cycle and then have him jump into action. No rest for the wicked I suppose. I was just more confused about both the power and sound of the explosion, what with so much going on I was uncertain if it was something that Malakaus could hear in the midst of the hustle of town. I think I asked a while ago just how bad this explosion was before I had Malakaus suggest heading to the Tavern since I wasn't sure if it would have been loud enough for him to notice. Of course now I know there are definitely two places on fire in the city, both which need to be investigated. So I might not even get a chance to follow through my side plot with all these local troubles going on.

Ah, but such is the life of an RPG protagonist. Try to start one quest and you get involved in three more...

Ninja Edit: Ah hell. I'll just rally what PC's I can and divvy them up to deal with the troubles in the city. Time to crack the whip and put these characters to work.

I should mention that the Golden sword is currently on Mithrils back, once more shrouded by the black cloth tightly wound around it. The only other weapons are concealed knives and a simple rapier he has taken.
I apologize if I forgot to write these things somewhere. Bad habit of mine..
