I'm not planning it. Firebrand can get out of the aoe of Threek's attack, easily. Ozo even pointed it out. I'd not try to force such a huge thing.

I know. Just saying, you ever want to do anything absolutely freakish to him I'm probably up for it. This applies to everybody.

Oh I just love when a player gives an open invitation like that. It's like a carte blanche, I get to do whatever I want XD.

So you're carrying around a bunch of anti-magic artifacts from an ancient world created by a high priest of an Old God into what might be the most dangerous area on the planet. This'll CERTAINLY be interesting.

Name: Archbishop Liana of Cantebury

Appearance:

Personality: Archbishop Liana, despite her smile, hides deep anger and revulsion at the state of the world, nay, the Multiverse. Though she can be kind and empatethic, her compassion ends when the Imperium of Man and the Goa'uld Star Empire are concerned. Even when God himself tells her to forgive the IoM, she refuses to; the IoM's actions in their home universe having repulsed her to no end. However, Chaos is as much her enemy as much as the Imperium, and if the God Emperor of Man would just repent and ask for the forgiveness of the actual God/The Gods/Kami/Even Satan, she might reconsider her refusal to forgive...

Abilities:

Consecration - Archbishop Liana can bless an area as wide as a cathedral, weakening all Magic, Psyker Power, Psionics, Curses, Supernatural Powers, and of course, Chaos influence in the area. This weakening effect can be bypassed if Archbishop Liana grants an 'Exemption' (see below) to another person.

Exemption - Archbishop Liana can grant anyone and anything who might otherwise be weakened by Consecration 'permission' to use their Magic as normal, this is done by her physically touching the target and declaring that they are exempted.

Earthly Paradise - Archbishop Liana can turn barren land into a lush landscape of fruit trees, berry bushes, and for those who love meat, tame deer, birds, and fish that allow themselves to be eaten as long as they are killed painlessly. Oh, and water; there are lots of water as well.

Equipment:

Archbishop's Staff of Office - An ordinary staff that does nothing when it's not held by Liana.

Holy Water.

Railgun Pistol.

Origin: Priscilla* Triumphant - A world where women's leadership in the Church was acknowledged earlier, thanks to actual Divine Intervention.

*en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Priscilla_and_Aq..

Theme Song: Te Deum

------

Name: The League of All Faiths

Leader: Archbishop Liana

Goals:

- Return to their Earth.
- Save the Multiverse
- Make the Imperium of Man request forgiveness from God/The Gods/The Kami/Even Satan for their crimes.

Troops:

The Interfaith Army (30,000 People) - Though lacking in the numbers and technology of the other factions (although Conablum Labs might change that if the two factions reach an alliance), the Interfaith Army has one thing that said other factions don't have - resistance to Magic. Because of their faith, the Interfaith Army are protected from Chaos itself by God/The Gods/The Great Mother/The Kami, as well as other Supernatural Entities and Creatures. However, physical force can still destroy them, and physical force is what they lack.

By modern army standards, the Interfaith Army is fairly well-equipped, with AK-47s, Anti-Materiel Rifles, Sniper Rifles, Rifles, Flamethrowers, and other types of modern weapons. They also have 10 Tanks, 30 APCs, 20 Humvees, and 100 Supply Trucks. Oh, and Rocket Launchers and Anti-Air Missiles. But again, compared to what other factions have, still not good enough.

Three SAS Special Forces Teams.

Important Members:

Aisha ibn Malik - Female Imam with the same powers as Liana.

Ram Singh - Sikh with a military past.

Joseph bin Isaiah - Jew who organizes the bureaucracy of The League of All Faiths.

Yuri Motou - Japanese Shrine Madien who with the same powers as Liana.

Tactical Advantages: Resistance to all Magic, Curses, and Supernatural Powers.

Tactical Disadvantages: Low in numbers and lacking technology.

Origin: Priscilla* Triumphant - A world where women's leadership in the Church was acknowledged earlier, thanks to actual Divine Intervention. Also, the Interfaith Army was originally formed by Archbishop Liana of Cantebury as a 'volunteer force' to go to Iraq and destroy Islamic State, but got swept through a portal into Arcadia...

And...apparently, Conablum Labs is evil as well now; gtg edit the League of All Faiths to be more forgiving, even of the Imperium of Man.

@thewizardguy, -Deleted-

But now I won't because Conablum Labs has turned evil, and I'll instead be a sickly-sweet faction who just wants the Emperor of Man to bow down and ask for God's forgiveness.

@thewizardguy, @Absolis, can I give the League of All Faiths a boost in numbers and technology, while keeping their resistance to Supernatural Forces?

And by boost, I want (Edit: Whatever gives me a fighting chance against the Imperium of Man and Conablum Labs).

- Faction Sheet -
Name: Avianry
Leader: Xel'rath ('god' king of everything), Nim (military commander directly under Xel'rath), And Tu'Ran (civics manager, directly under Xel'rath though Nim does sometimes boss them around)
Goals:
The Avianry serve two purposes; firstly, as an experiment by xel'rath to see how it was actually creating things rather than just disintegrating them, and secondly to act as his personal guard, attendants, assistants, and whatever else he needed.
Troops:
While there is no variation between military troops outside of their greater durability when compared to the civilian Avianry, They do, however, have a rather large assortment of weaponry.

Light Staffs: the all-purpose anti-personnel weaponry usable by any Avianry. A cylindrical rod capped with a large bulge housing the hard-light projection equipment. This piece of equipment is capable of constructing any form of armament at the user's will and uses their inner power source to do so.

Hard-Light armor Projection: Functionally, these work as a mix between shielding and convential armor though are much better at stopping laser fire than kinetic weaponry, however the added protection is much better than not having them

Matter Obliteration Cannons: most commonly noted for their value as defensive armaments, Matter obliteration cannons act as amplifiers for an Avianry's innate abilities of matter and energy disintegration and absorption to the point these cannons are quite capable of downing battleships with but mere seconds of sustained fire if fully sized. When miniaturized, however, they act as a firearm would for most other militaries albeit much better at piercing armor and energy shielding.

Energus weave: Energius weave is about four times as durable as steel-reinforced concrete at a fraction of the weight when produced in brick form. This material tends to configure however the Avianry wish it, however it does not seem to function very well when attempted to be used by anything else as mild disintegration might occur. Speaking of disintegration, unless instructed by an Avianry, this material also absorbs energy such as radio waves, sunlight similar to a photovoltaic cell, and other forms of background radiation, making teleportation or communications with anyone but the Avianry while inside the effective range impossible.

Soul Matrices: while nowhere near as complex as xel'rath's core, soul matrices act as bot the power center, brain, heart, and soul casing of Avianry, acting as both their source of power and their greatest weakness. However, unlike Xel'rath, avianry soul matrices are incapable of housing infinite power, thus giving them a limited cap in storage dependent on that particular Avianry.

Concentrated disintegration projections: the ultimate in terms of Avianry shielding technology, this is quite literally a field of "nothing beyond this point" and the only recorded model capable of personel rather than as fortifications is amongst Nim's personal armorments. Concentrated disintegration projections or CDP/Gandalf Shielding, are quite literally man-high walls of the Avianry's innate ability of matter disintegration concentrated and layered to the point of impenetrability. Thus this makes them both immensely power draining to use/leave up over extended periods, making their main use as temporary fortifications in assaults.

Gravity sphere: Allows for the more focused applications of energy transmutation, basically allowing for 'magic' in more common terms. Though the more common use for these tools is in construction, if a trooper has sufficient energy capacity, combat applications are not unheard of. Also, they don't all come as sphere's, however that is the most common and original design.
Important Members:See leaders
Tactical Advantages:
High damage, Unless the core is destroyed they'll simply stand back up and start hitting the target again, they maintain the same (albeit less potent versions) abilities as xel'rath which can be used for a variety of purposes, and they're rather intimidating
Tactical Disadvantages: Lack of expansionism, troop tactics tend to be more short-medium range outside of The larger guns or fortifications, and if you can hit their cores they'll stop regenerating until they can be collected and remade.
Origin: Xel'rath made them

@thewizardguy, I know what you're going to say in response to my post above, and by my reckoning, the Imperium isn't good. I don't care about Games Workshop's in-universe justification for his extermination of religion; Games Workshop should have retconned out said in-universe justification a long time ago before they became offensive.

@Letter Bee
Personally, I find that someone who finds everything that in-canon implies that a religion could be used for evil (not even that the people participating in it are evil) is offensive is in and of itself ludicrous. There are entire churches devoted to informing the world that, outside of any fictional sense, anyone who does not worship Jesus is inherently evil, and therefore deserves to burn in hell. The Bible itself is explicitly offensive to anyone not part of the religion. If we're talking about a piece of fiction that demonizes a group of people I would argue that your religious texts are more offensive than anything 40K can offer. The Emperor was a scientist who believed Religion to be a tool for superstition and chaos, and was correct, so he removed it. In-universe his actions were logical and just, and you cannot call him evil because you interpret his actions as representing an out-of-universe bias or are offended by the implications the in-universe act has in relation to your real-world beliefs.

This has been a long-running discussion which I have no intention of revisiting, but you should learn to seperate the actions of a character in a work of fiction from any real-world interpretation of the meaning behind those actions. You should also learn that some universes simply have religions as being used as a tool for evil, live with it. There are plenty of fictional universes where Christianity can be weaponized to kill demons or whatever. But demanding that every work of fiction in the universe depicts your favourite little group as being exclusively nice is simply not realistic. By those standards you wouldn't be allowed to print any religious texts whatsoever, nor vampire stories where holy water is used to fight vampires, or anything in a similar vein.

If you wish to have a serious discussion about theology and it's application in modern pop culture I would be happy to oblige. Hit me up on skype or send me a PM, and we can both debate our points. But this is not the time or the place, and therefore I declare this argument ended on this page, for the moment.
