I'll have the Phantom distract them for you. After all, they did offer to help earlier.

And I just realised I may have just painted a big target on Miku's head, since she's flying a wounded bird and serious enemies have shown up.

Lost, Angie's flying with a wounded bird too. just gotta take it slow and stuff.

besides, even serious enemies in agile planes can barely get out of a thatch-weave maneuver

EDIT:and silver, I know, but hey it might be confirmed later. Oracle might be wrapped up in other stuff.

Mage, you made a small mistake in your post, the missiles from Mask don't have any warning. New technology that doesn't use heat or radar or other conventional methods to lock and home in on a target.
And this is just personal opinion, but do you seriously think engaging what are apparently super high-tech fighters with planes from fifty years ago is a good idea? Thach Weave is effective, but it doesn't really seem to me like the best thing to do in this situation...

Okay, fine.

I'll get another post up when someone else has. Don't want to be leaping right in all the time, and I think I'd like to leave it a little this time around.

Might be a Falken, might not be. Haven't decided yet. Could be something completely different. Could even be a XR-45 Cariburn.

Well, if they were described as:

a dark, bizarre looking jet with forward swept wings and what looked similar to a glazed over cockpit

I'm. assuming 'glazed over' means that it's not see-through, similar to how an aircraft looks with a COFFIN system.
It could be a number of things, especially from Ace Combat. Or it could be something else altogether, as our dear GM says - there's no reason he can't introduce new aircraft, after all. I'd be doing the same in his place to keep us all guessing, and to write my own story.

Just about to make a post - I'm going to assume that these aircraft aren't actually invisible, going by the last GM post, and it's just that they couldn't be easily seen. However, if they are supposed to have some kind of optical camouflage or something, then I'll edit my post as needed.

It's just an allusion to the fact that they are not only invisible to radar but also flown in a way that conceals them from the views of the pilots.

So that's not the Fenrir that human eyes can barely see?

I don't remember the Fenrir being having forward-swept wings. If it does, it could be that. Honestly, I haven't decided yet if they're going to be Falken, Cariburn or something else. :3

The Cariburn doesn't have forward-swept wings though - it has a delta-wing. TBH, it doesn't matter what it is. It's not like we can capture it, or even if we'll know who it belongs to. If the mysterious 'they' are attacking us in the middle of an exercise, I imagine they're not boldly showing off their insignia and serial numbers. And if we do need to find out, we'll know at the appropriate time.

The Cariburn has forward-swept wings.

And, yeah, I haven't said it yet, but none of our assailants have insignias or other markings of origin.
