(I'll review the CS when I get home. Reading on mobile is difficult for me to get an overall picture and I find my tablet is nice and comfortable to read on)

Once sand is turned into glass it goes through a process that changes the physical properties of it, mostly through heat. For a comparison it would be like how both oxygen and hydrogen are flammable, but combine the two and it becomes water, a non flammable substance.

So in a round about way, no he can't control glass but he could control concrete and maybe in the future some raw minerals.

Venus thorn Is a small, vicious plant that gets its name from its “slender figure” and its thorn shaped pistil. While the thorn appears to be the most dangerous part of the plant, all of its flat surfaces are razor sharp. In addition to water, the plant flourishes on a tiny amount of blood from animals that may come in contact with it. Most animals don't even realize they've been cut by the parasitic plant's fine blades. The bulb on the top of the plant gets bigger as it absorbs more blood, assisting with the growth process. The plant reproduces by detonating its thorn and releasing spores, expiring shortly afterward.

Because of the Venus Razor's odd dietary requirements, the plant is difficult to grow in captivity. It is usually planted out in the wild where it can come in contact with animals naturally.

Venus Razor is best known for the burning sensation the bulb causes when people touch it, caused by a mild poison. Despite the dangers, people have been grinding the bulb into a spice and deluding the plant with other ingredients. Depending on the mixture, Venus Razor can be as hot as a chili or more severe than a ghost pepper. However the “heat” seldom lasts longer than a few seconds.

Undiluted Venus Razor has its uses as a self defense weapon. The powerful burning sensation and short burn time makes for an effective self defense weapon that doesn't cause lasting harm to its victims.

OOC is fine. For plants it'll be pretty easy going. For animals I'll be a little more critical as I'll be after certain types.

Writing up the first IC at the moment, not entirely sure when it will go up as I do wanna set up the first post in a specific sort of way. Any late comers should be able to just drop in so you shouldn't feel as if you're missing out on a start date.

well, if you put down a list of content you'd like the players to assist with, i'm sure we'll all adhere to it and work with it @NuttsnBolts.

By the way, I didn't put up a picture of the Venus Razor because tinypic is down for maintenance with the rest of photobucket. Because of this, I didn't describe the plant especially well. It'll be up when my image hosting service returns.

I would just use the term "Wild", perhaps "Indigenous" (sounds fancy). I know the terms aren't perfect and that's kind of intended. New world, Rough science.

In addition to the suggested change to Indigenous, I noticed that I called the Venus Thorn a Venus Razor several times. So I fixed that as well. Ghosts of RP past are haunting me.

I also plan on making some vehicles. Would you use a template like you did for Jackson's pistol? Except instead I'd list the vehicle industry (class), crew riding capacity, passenger riding capacity, utilities (if any, would be changed to "arments" for hunting or military weapons) And then the description. If you'd really like to get nerdy though, we could also list fuel sources, type of drive (2-wheel, 4x4, 4x8, etc), Weight, Armor (if any), Weight, Tongue Weight (for towing), and accessories (Headed seats, climate control interior, air freshener)

@BrokenPromise I'll probably play around with categories at some point, so what you list for the plants may vary slightly in the final listing.

The tools setup seems fine. For vehicles let us know what you're thinking of first cause I do have a bit of a theme going so far. I wouldn't necessarily place all the details in like fuel, weight, accessories, etc as all that is really useless fluff. It's the same reason why I set up the char sheet appearances to talk about clothing styles and not what they are currently wearing.

Too much info and you can dilute the important stuff down by accident.

What I'm thinking for thus far is the following for mining. With an exception to the overseer's throne, they're pretty much all futuristic versions of existing mining equipment.

Mining EXO-suit: Pretty much a mechanical suit that covers a miners body and protects them from debris. The workers use this to venture into small nooks and crannies to extract ore or just for some protection when they have to perform repairs on the job site.

Contractor EXO-suit: More like a mech than a suit, the contractor is typically used in the construction of buildings. It's used in mining to help fortify tunnels. Has an arm for moving support pylons while the other is a welder.

Mining drone: A remote control mining robot that keeps miners directly out of harm's way.

Collector drone: Like the above, but this collects the ore and takes it out of the mines.

Extractor: This vehicle essentially hold all the ore that the collector drones bring them. when full, it's driven out of the mine and another one is usually pulled in to take it's place.

Overseer's Throne: The queen bee of the mining operation. It's essentially a giant tank that houses all the remote control operators, mechanics, and of course, the overseer. Aside from being a mobile mining camp, it also has tools to tunnel around and detect the presence of ore. It can dig itself out of most cave-ins.

And for my carpenter, I don't really see him needing anything more than the future version of the boom/bucket truck. He's probably going to do most of his work with tools. Scaffolding, Zip lines, loads of tools!

I'm going to have to postpone my character at this point. Don't want to hold everybody up and there is a couple of other things I have to keep up with myself at the moment. Good luck guys and hopefully get in on this in the future.
