@Leslie Hall I get that civilians can't see the shadows or anything until they're pulled into the distortion field, but could you elaborate on that a little more for me? Like, I was kind of planning on having all the screaming civilians outside the building Jinx is in be screaming as a result of the Shadows. Like they had already been pulled in, I guess. But how does one pull a civilian in? By touching them? By getting just close enough to them? They're getting pulled into something like an alternate mirror dimension, right? But all the damage Jinx is currently doing to the building will be permanent once it's all over? Or no?
Shadows pull their victims inside of their distortion fields when they get close enough to their target. Key word target; most Shadows are simple minded animals with a one track thought process. They see a human and think 'food' and then go in to chase them. When they reach their targeted human they pull them in. If they pass other humans along the way, they won't be pulled in unless the Shadow's attention is brought to them for whatever reason.
Stronger Shadows can pull in multiple humans over larger distances. Familiars don't need to feed off of humans since they technically live off of their Witch's magical power, but they are still able to pull humans into the Otherworld (I'm going with this name btw).

Heya, the shadows don't look like dolls. The dolls were in Jinxtopia. I already described what the seven big shadows look like. Unless... can anyone change the form of a shadow to anything they want at any given time? 'Cuz I won't put as much effort into describing them in the future if that's the case... ^_^;; I suppose we'll have to wait for @Leslie Hall to explain that, but I personally would prefer if shadows, for the most part, kept their form. So that the monsters I fabricate aren't made weaker by sudden transformations.
Other than their silhouette form which they use for convenient travel and overall spookiness, a Shadows form really doesn't change. That being said, humans who wonder into the Otherworld will only be able to see a Shadow's silhouette form until they get close to them.
Seeing as we're going with Otherworld, I think it's fitting to compare Shadows to the creatures in Silent Hill 2. Each Shadow is a manifestation of a certain persons negative feelings. For this reason, a Shadow's form doesn't really make sense to anyone aside from the person who unknowingly created it. Even then it can be quite a shocking experience to witness a Shadow that they won't really realise what it is supposed to be. So yeah, Shadows don't appear differently to everyone but they do mean different things depending on how you look at them.
I have returned from abusing my liver in ways that it has not been abused before. Ayyy.
If anyone wants to throw down some plots with the Zeva siblings, feel free to hit me up here or in PM! Though I'm not super sure how clubs will go since I don't want to stack on multiple clubs onto the twins and then find out that the school takes a more traditional Japanese stance on school clubs. H-Haha.
In the meantime, I'm gonna try and figure out where I wanna put Iksander to start. To the coin flip!
EDIT:: I should probably clarify that Srebrenka is an NPC for the moment, but I mean. Still open for plots if anyone wants. xD
Not 100% sure about the whole traditional Club thingy, but I believe students can only join one sports club and one culture club at a time? I might be wrong. Here in Australia our school had a lot of extra-curricular clubs and they pretty much had a "join as many as you can handle" mentality. I should also state that Yagami High is, while not the most prestigious of schools, privately run and funded with quite a lot of facilities. If you'd like your character to be apart of a club that isn't usually seen in Japanese schools (Like Kim in Boxing Club) then go ahead as long as it's not something really out there like the Mini-Golf club (It's more realistic to think the school has a demountable boxing ring than it's own mini-golf field y'know?).
If you're thinking "But Leslie, my character comes from a family with low socioeconomic status. They couldn't realistically afford to send their kids to a private school. How do I justify this?" I suppose they could have received a Scholarship of some kind similar to Haruhi in Ouran Highschool Hostclub. The whole rich school being all "Let's open our doors to the poor so they can see how the other half live" kind of deal. Yes it's condescending but I'm too hungover to think of a better plot contrivance.
