Diamond - Infirmary

Diamond looked around to see if and what the others would say. No one gave her any looks of pity, save for some minor hints. Good. I like anger better. "You know, no regrets here, so stop looking so damn gloomy before somebody slashes their wrists. Knowing what I do now I'd still do it again in that situation you know. One of you three was there, you reckless idiots somehow managed to get me to care if you live." Diamond said with a smirk.

"But if we could not make a habit of it it would be much appreciated." she sighed, "Since you're all here, do you want to perhaps have a talk about how to prevent such abysmal failures in the future, or am I going to have to keep losing limbs for some time until we're there?" she said perhaps a bit too harshly, but she wanted to drive a point home. Because the next time one of you tells me to shut up when I'm telling you to be cautious I'll maim you myself!

Her eyes ticked to the side. She would have said more, but only if it was just the four of them, and somewhere where prying ears couldn't reach. "Also while we're on the topic of fighting abilities and personal feelings, I'm losing the grip on my semblance. I blame you for starting to make me a better person." she grinned, herself unsure whether that was a good or bad thing.

Cian Kuze|Break

"Hungry little guy" Cian looked at the albino ferret she seen it a few times but was always unsure on who it belonged to. Come on than little one lets get you something to eat you have any preferences?" She looked at it noticing the sheer hilarity of herself talking to a ferret what has the world turned to she couldn't help but question to herself. Still letting a hand out to the ferret for it to climb up she figured this could count as a break from her over indulgence in training she supposed. @Lucius Cypher

“Sure, do that Yue.”
Skyra waved after both Krys, who had left first, and Yue, who was leaving just now.
Now just her and Sepia were left in the room. That was until Skyra grabbed her head instinctively.
“Ugh… I knew it was a bad idea to drink...”
She got up from her feeding position and walked to the door, not going through it before waving a “I’ll be back later, Seppy. Just gonna get some pills for this headache, kay?”
With that, she let the door snap back into its lock.

Slow pace Skyra moved herself down the corridor heading straight for the infirmary without any detours. It was her first time drinking that much and as such, her first actual hangover. She just hoped, the painkillers would relieve any lingering pain.

Arriving at the infirmary, she quickly moved to the medicine cabinet, plopped two painkiller pills into her mouth and gulped them down before she noticed that the beds in the room were not empty. Not at all empty.
The one couple of people her eyes focused on most were atwo girls, one being pinned down by the other, seemingly a cat Faunus as well, in a tacklehug position. Or so it looked like to Skyra. Were they… a couple? Like… together? What the hell…?

Sepia Russet - K_SS Dorm -> Halls

Sepia watched Skyra go, scrutinizing her as she went out the door. As much as she'd like to be able to shut off her semblance and focus on recovering, she had already decided that she might as well use it given that it showed no signs of going away any time soon. Reaching out tentatively in her mind toward the cat faunus, she almost jerked back when she made contact. There was...a lot going on here. Keeping her position as purely receptive in the few seconds she had before she'd lose track of her teammate, she gently plucked along a few strands of feelings. Not thoughts, mind you. That would be more invasive than she was comfortable with, and Skyra would probably "hear" her if she strengthened their connection too much. As it was, she might notice an unfamiliar feeling, but nothing indicative of its source being another person, as Sepia couldn't recall ever having used her semblance (at least not in this way) on her teammate before.

Chewing on her lower lip as she finished off her breakfast, the brunette quickly tried her best to smooth down a few rough edges in her friend(?)'s mood, as temporary as it might be. No one could fix Skyra's problems but Skyra. There was something else, too. She gave a small smile as she noted a small, but unmistakable feeling of warmth somewhere buried underneath all the conflicted prickliness. "Sunrise orange..." she murmured under her breath. Withdrawing gently with a relived and somewhat satisfied sigh, Sepia stood up and did her best to tidy up so Yue wouldn't have so much to do. "She does seem to like to please, though. I guess that means I have to work on her too."

Sepia had no illusions about her intelligence when it came to school and studying. All of that factual blah-blah just went through one furry ear and out the other, and sitting still for so long was dreadfully boring. However, she liked to think that she got to have good "person-sense" in return for her shoddy grades. Slinging her at last found dress, undergarments, and leggings over her shoulder, she plucked a sticky-note pad and pencil off of her bedside table and started scratching out a rough list:

Sky: Extra patience. Prob. needs to have a listener.

Krys: Nothing right now. She seems to have a good head on her shoulders. Observe.

Yue: Build her up. Needs more self-worth to be good teammate (if that's Beacon's idea).

Sepia paused thoughtfully for a moment, then added:
Shiro: Worries me :(

"If anyone sees this, they're going to think I'm nuts." Even the ditzy dog could tell that much. She needed it, though, if she wanted to remember any of her thoughts later. After taking a shower and getting ready for the day, she folded it twice and tucked it into her bra. Deeming herself presentable, she grabbed Orthus and headed into the hall, intending on making her way outside to practice with its grappling function.

Abel Fulgurate
@Eklispe

A few seconds of scanning the sky went by before Abel spotted a dot he could only assume was Krysanthe. He observed, though he couldn't imagine how, that the girl's launch sent her far higher into the air than his own. Given the whoops carried to him on the breeze, though, she seemed to be enjoying it far more than he had. He looked on when, in the middle of her descent, she began to eject bursts of water from her ornate boots that each stalled her momentum enough to make her look as though she was walking in the sky. Abel marveled at the simplicity and the efficacy of it compared to his own technique, his muscles burning all the while. In a jiffy the two hunters-in-training were reunited, and the guardian's heart soared far more than it had while he had to see Krysanthe's face adorned with a lively smile. After taking a split second to focus, he returned the expression, then replied, “Well, there's a ruin of some sort where the tokens were placed during the ceremony. Though we might go there.”

Navigating down the tree, though not easy, proved to be far less of a task than descending from the heavens in one piece. Seldom was Abel so glad to be back on the ground. While no stranger to heights, given his station on kingdom's wall, he just couldn't shake the inexplicable terror that welled within him to be suspended in space. It felt like being abandoned and left to die. Suddenly realizing the needless morbidity of his thoughts, Abel shook himself to clear his head. No doubts or depressing sentiments needed to be entertained in this place, distracting from the Emerald Forest's beauty. Beneath the canopy, where the dappled sunlight fell upon the earth's brilliant green grass and plants, the wood seemed straight out of a fairy tale. Something cheesy welled up in Abel's mind, and he spun his partizan into walking-stick position before saying, “Shall we?”

Minutes later into the forest hike, the pair happened upon a great cleft in the ground running diagonally across their path. The ravine extended out of sight in either direction and at least sixty feet down. Various creeping vines slithered down from trees on the gorge's precipice into the depths of the earth. When Abel peered down, he could see a glint at the bottom that most likely signified a stream. He fixated his attention on the chasm's opposite side, noting it to be several feet higher than the one upon which he and Krysanthe stood. Feeling like he knew the answer, he asked, “Across, over, around?” as he leaned on the Ampere. The thought that he should be talking more, and trying to get to know the girl, crossed his mind. Trying not to frown in contemplation, he began to ponder exactly how to go about doing that as he waited for an answer.

Kuhaku Shiro - Armory

Ears twitching when he picked up Sangue's soft, quiet voice signaling she was done, Shiro turned to face her and immediately turned right back around when he realized that for some reason she had yet to fully redress herself. Cheeks flushing slightly as he scratched the back of his head, he sighed.

"Whyyy...?"
His ears pinned themselves against his head.
It was more than a little odd to him.
On the one hand, Shiro himself didn't know shame as evident by him lounging around in his room in naught but his shorts and an undershirt most of the time.
But on the other hand, even Shiro knew he wasn't supposed to gawk and stare at another lady.
At least, to a certain inappropriate degree.
Especially when said girl was half-naked.

Frowning, Shiro kept his eyes off of Sangue until he was certain she was ...'decent' again. Inching and sidling over to where his Scroll was and picking it up to look at the numbers. His ears perked when he saw them, eyes widening as the red tinge to his cheeks deepened. But just as quickly as he saw the numbers he shut his eyes and shook his head furiously.

"Try not to think about those numbers too hard, boss...Focus!"
Very awkward, to say the least.
He would definitely have to file the information he just learned under "Destroy/Forget" later.
Purely out of self-preservation and for his friend's sake.
There were some things that he definitely didn't need to know.
This, was one of them.

Clearing his throat, Shiro shut out the rest of the world as he walked over to where the basic materials were kept. Sifting through and rifling through the various metal billets, he was dissatisfied to learn that there were only cheap, lower-quality metals for what he wanted. Though, he understood. It wasn't as if Beacon had the funds to provide the expensive stuff to every body that got a brief invention or weapon/armor idea. Even still, it would work. Collapsing and pocketing his scroll, he grabbed a couple blocks of billets and wandered around until he located where the CNC machine was.

Prepping the machine by inserting the billets he had on hand, he walked over to the terminal and began inputting commands. Specifically numbers, sizes, and measurements along with the appropriate bits the machine should use. Of course, he didn't dilly-dally when inputting...certain measurements, but it didn't take long for him to finish the initial start of things. Satisfied for now, Shiro placed his hands on his hips and took a moment to actually examine the machine Beacon Academy had. It was obviously one of those fancier, larger models with all sorts of features. Shiro couldn't help but whistle impressively at it as the machine started to warm up. Humming as it began milling and cutting sections and pieces of the billets Shiro had placed within.

His plan and idea was to have individual sections and pieces formed now to be pieced together into the complete package later. At least, this would serve as the base prototype because of the lower-quality steels. It would at least give Sangue something to sort-of-temporarily attach to herself to get a feel for how it would look and sort of weigh. Once she was pleased with the look and feel of it, then Shiro would go back later with better materials and actually forge the real deal. For now, however, Shiro simply wanted to distract himself and keep himself busy while the others talked and Sangue...sat there.

Taking her time.
Getting dressed.
Shiro caught the girl's reflection in one of the shinier surfaces of the CNC machine and looked away.
"Nope! Argh, just...slip that...robe-thingy...back over your shoulder already! This is weird!"
Someone who he sort-of-literally just met and befriended...
He just didn't see her in that 'way'.
Whatever that 'way' was.

Tapping his chin as he stared off into space, he wondered if he should also have the internal skeleton milled out to give the girl a more accurate feel for how it may weigh. Better yet, he could also have the chestplate milled. But, that would involve looking those numbers again. Shiro huffed, puffing out his cheeks in aggravation.

Seriously, what did the girl eat?!
Does that even affect bust?
"STOP THINKING ABOUT THAT!"
Shiro gritted his teeth and ruffled his hair, making strained grunting noises as he fought to busy himself.
Storming off, he resigned to digging through the other scraps that laid about the armory.
Unfinished or defective ideas and projects, prototypes that never saw the light of day.

Silence accompanied her train of thoughts as Sangue waited.

And waited.

Even though her stomach felt empty, she remained quiet as the two men worked on preparing an upgrade. They were using their own free time to help her out directly even though she did not know them well. That could mean... that they were good people.

Perhaps they really were.

Soon she slipped her yukata back over her shoulders. As she waited, the girl kept glancing between Gren and Shiro... until Gren spoke to her.

He wanted to know if she could follow them to the Emerald Forest. On one hand, she was hungry. If she did not follow them, she could get food to satisfy her tummy's silent, yet annoying wailing. But the least she could do for them making something valuable to her was accompany them. Gren did make a point when he spoke of how he did not see her in action with the Claw, so that further cemented the idea that she should skip getting food for the time being.

Even if she really liked food.

Glancing between Sapphire and Gren, Sangue opened her mouth slightly before speaking.

"I can... go with you."

Her voice remained idle, though she seemed to focus less on being respectful and more on trying to understand whatever Gren or Shiro (or Sapphire, for that matter) had to say to her. If there was one thing that softened more than usual, it was her gaze, for she felt less tension than before.

Sapphire Rode - Armoury

Sapphire put her hands on her hips with an unimpressed look on her face. "And where exactly do you know a professional prosthesis doctor from?" The surgery he had mentioned wasn't exactly uncommon but it was also delicate. Professional surgeons practiced in the technique were in high demand. Gren didn't exactly look like the kind of person to have high reaching social connections. Figuring he wouldn't answer her Sapphire filed the information away to look into another day.

When Gren asked her if she had any connections that could get them the neural processing cards for Sangue's new arm Sapphire froze. There were two answers to that question. Both of them equally valid and more or less true. Technically speaking she did not and Sapphire was tempted to give this answer to Gren for one clear reason. She didn't trust him. Neural processing cards could be used for a lot of things and Sapphire wasn't particularly keen on the idea of handing them over to Gren. The other answer to his question was the more true. Her family name carried a fair amount of weight in certain circles. If she called the right people she could very likely get what was needed. "I can make a few calls to some..." of my mother's "...friends but there's three things you should understand before I do. The first is that I make no promises about what I can or can't get. The second is that if I can get what you need I will the one installing them on the arm. Thirdly this is a one time deal, I won't be doing this ever time you have a science project you can't afford to build." She would not become known as the tech girl who could get everyone cheap weapons.

Sapphire wasn't particularly bothered by the fact that Shiro blatantly ignored her during her exchange with Gren. She kept an ear out for what he was saying and while she wasn't a particular fan of his it seemed his engineering skills were half decent. She could have made a couple suggestions to improve his design but decided she wasn't going to be the one that forced him to speak to her. She had no desire to open that Pandora's Box.

In way of greeting, Sangue who it seemed was mostly nonverbal bowed to Sapphire. It was hunter's etiquette, a bit dated but still utilized by some of the older families. Sapphire hadn't needed it in the longest time but she still remembered her father teaching her how to do it. Sapphire bowed back. As was customary She placed her right hand on her lower back with the palm facing outwards and her left hand on her stomach with her knuckles facing Sangue. She bowed, arching her back at a fifteen degree angle before she straightened and nodded to Sangue, making eye contact.

It was moments after this that Shiro trying to get Sangue's measurements, realized that it was rather inappropriate to take her bust size himself. He instead handed Sangue the measuring tape so she could do it herself. She she slipped the top half of her robe off to take the required measurements. The effect was instantaneous and honestly rather funny. An amused smirk lit Sapphire's face as Shiro and Gren started running around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to avoid looking at Sangue's breasts. Sapphire wasn't really bothered. She'd grown up with two sisters. Seeing girls in a state of undress wasn't strange to her. Not that she was staring but neither did she feel the need to avert her gaze from the thirty feet around Sangue like the boys were doing. At the point when Gren started spouting off anything he could think to say and Shiro made a hasty retreat for the CNC machine Sapphire decided to intervene. "Sangue, would you mind pulling your top up? You're making the boys overheat."

Once Sangue had covered herself Gren invited her to go with them to the Emerald Forest to look for materials for her arm. That struck Sapphire as strange. She'd never been to the Emerald Forest personally but she knew it was the sister woods to Forever Fall where they'd had their initiation. For Sangue's arm though they'd need raw metals not wood. Admittedly Sapphire had looked at topography maps of the area and there were some cave sites but they hadn't been thoroughly explored or mapped out. There was no evidence to suggest there was anything of value in them. While she was thinking this over Gren invited her to join the party mostly she assumed because she was in the area and he was trying to appear courteous, for whatever that was worth. "Before I answer why the Emerald Forest? It's not exactly known for its rich mineral deposits."

Oswald Connoly- Infirmary

Oswald grunted in assent as Diamond did her best to downplay the severity of her injury. How noble...still, nice to know that she cares. He had to agree with her other point: their mission was a success only because of the help they'd received. Had it just been the four of them out there...

He wondered how they'd tell their story. Team CODE, the newbies who got killed hunting a pack of Grievers. At best they'd be swept under the rug while somebody tried to figure out how the hell it had happened. At worst, they'd be laughing stocks after their deaths.

Still, they'd survived against the odds, so it was time to look forward instead of thinking about how bad it could have been. "I volunteer for next crippling injury, in that case. You look like you could use a rest." That was probably a bit too cheeky. "We should discuss the benefits and issues that come with splitting up, and determine who should go with whom in case it happens..."

Diamond had more to say, though, and...well, Oswald wasn't sure how to process this next bit. She's losing her grip on her Semblance? What the hell does that even mean?! "What do you mean by that, Diamond...?"

Rowan was in motion the instant Emerald stirred, trying to stand and keep the small girl in bed--but she’d underestimated how long she’d been sitting down, and her legs didn’t move quite as quickly as she wanted them to. The Cat Faunus moved faster, in the end, pushing Rowan back down from her half standing position and falling into her lap. The practice teacher sat, stunned for a moment, then her hands twitched, her arms wrapping around the girl hugging her, awkwardly at first and then a little tighter, her right hand moving to the back of her head and petting her hair gently. “It’s…”

She paused for a second, taking a deep breath and thinking, trying to engage her mind enough to think of something to say…

“It's okay, Emerald,” she whispered softly.

Emerald began to calm at Rowan's soft tone, it had just been a nightmare...that's all. She was safe now, it was fine. Her body was finally catching up with her mind as her tremors slowed to a halt as she let Rowan's petting soothe her.

Emerald's eyes shot open as she realized what she was doing, she was hugging a teacher she hardly knew. She pulled away slightly as she realized she was on Rowan's lap, her face going red as she looked at the older woman. "U-Umm...I uh..." It was awkward to be sure, not to mention she was feeling really, really woozy from getting up so suddenly out of bed.

But that was hardly the worse of it, she looked around to see her teammates were still around and could see her and...and...

...there was another Cat Faunus that she could see by the doorway, and she was staring right at her! Emerald felt her face turn a darker shade of red as words failed her, she'd never felt so embarrassed in her life. THE STARING WAS SO DAMNING!

By some miracle Emerald found the strength to get off of Rowan's lap and practically fall backwards onto her bed. She then struggled for a minute or two to get under the bed sheets and cover her head so she could hide herself from everyone in the room.

She figured that maybe if she stayed under the sheets long enough they would forget about her for a while right? Right? "Nghhhhhh...." She let out a pathetic whine of displeasure, both from her embarrassment and the general pain her body was in, even with the pain meds her stab wound still throbbed.

Cobalt nodded in agreement with Diamond while also smiling at her attempt to lighten the situation. Still though, she was right. If not for the assistance they received, they would he dead.

"If you insist Oswald. Let's try to avoid that though." He said in response to Oswald's tounge in cheek humour. "We also need a way to communicate that isn't reliant on our Scrolls. Different colored flares sounds like a sound idea."

"Also, what do you mean by that Diamond?" As Cobalt said that he noticed the unseen cat faunus standing at the door and staring at Emerald and Rowan."Hold that thought actually, we appear to have a stalker." After saying this he would proceed to wave at said stalker in acknowledgement of her presence.

Also the thing Emerald did was cute as all hell, but he would tease her about it later.

Diamond - Infirmary

Her gaze snapping to the door and then to Emerald's bed, Diamond's brain was suffering from cute catgirl overload. She waved her hand to Skyra and gave her a soft voiced hello. Two stalkers actually. she thought.

She didn't mind Skyra or Rowan overhearing them talking about their mission unlike the others. From what Cobalt said though, she gathered they were not on the same wavelength. "Hold that thought indeed, let's start with the first screwup, that we are actually responsible for. Can we now agree to never. Ever. Leave danger in our back regardless of how insignificant it seems? What did you say, something about Ratatosks being barely any dang even to civilians and one of us being able to handle that entire swarm? Because if they bill us the equipment those Grimm nicked from us... Well I got funds but you people will go hungry for a while." Diamond sneered.

She paused to think about the issue of splitting up. Something that fell on her head, she had to admit. "If you want to talk partners, then Marcus was mine, which would make Cobalt succeed him in that role. But it's a moot point if you ask me, we might not always get to pick, or it might be beneficial to go with another variant depending on the situation. The essence of the problem is our decisionmaking. If we are going to disagree on most things then this won't get any better no matter what we do. I will tell you straight away that I will not suffer democracy or a chain of command. The only way out of this that I see is to do some intensive training when you're on your feet. And then some more training. And then keep at it until we know by instinct what suits us best. Maybe we could rope another team in to challenge us, from what I got from Shiro they could use some work themselves." Diamond voiced her thoughts on the matter.

She didn't feel like going into much detail about her semblance. Not until she found out more. "I mean this." she said, flexing her hand and attempting to conjure a dagger, only succeeding in summoning a very deformed spike. "I'm not big on the theory, but if I am not mistaken, semblance is tied to your character. I've, uh... been rethinking a lot of my priorities. I might lose my semblance, it might just change. I don't really want to talk about it. But I can't rely on it anymore is the end result."

She chose not to share that her semblance has changed once before, and that it scared her. She refused to admit even to herself what the reason for it was.

ADVENTURE!

Gren and Shiro were working hard distracting themselves and preserving Sangue's innocence. Shiro was off doing something actually constructive while Gren just started to organize wires and parts together. Though as he was messing around with them, he did actually start thinking of what he'd need to make the internal bits of Sangue's arm. While Shiro would no double make the bult of the parts, Gren would be the one to ask Shiro what needs to be made and put together. As long as Gren can get those parts, making the arm would be a breeze. As he was mapping out the inner workings of the arm, Sapphire questioned him. He felt somewhat offended again that she thinks Gren can't find reliable sources. Sure his family weren't exactly well known for anything in particular, but that didn't mean everything they had was bootleg.

"My dad. He used to be a captain back during the war, and the doc was in the peace corps. After a few of my dad's friends got their limbs blown off, she helped them... Well not get back to the fighting, but not die. They kept in touch since then. After the war she continued to study and went from army surgeon to an orthotist. Admittedly, she did leave the peace corps after hearing that many of the old vets from the war were wasting away in civilian life, mostly due to their mutilations severely limiting their career options. Not everyone can afford proper replacement limbs after all, but she tried anyways. So yeah, she's a professional. An affordable, low budget professional who typically caters to veterans and victims of war."

Of course this was also leaving out the fact she left the peace corps because she went to join the White Fang, as many of the faunas who had suffered during the war were either low priority or even ignored. This was, of course, back before the White Fang became violent extremists and she simply wanted to use her service for her people (Racist as it may have seemed). She left before Gren did, but she was also the one who fitted Gren with his cybernetics at first. Of course after Gren committed himself to being a terrorist she also cut ties with him. The only reason he can even contact her know was because she helped him get out of the White Fang, and even then she is still horrified by the things he did. It would take a lot of begging and favors to get her to help Gren even if he was doing this for someone else. But that was a small price to pay.

As for the rest of it, Gren was jut happy that she was willing to try. Admittedly Gren didn't need Sapphire's help, but for the sake of making her feel useful Gren was willing to let her be involved in this project. Last thing Gren needed was someone stopping him and Shiro from helping Sangue just because they didn't trust him. "Anyways, now that Sangue wants to, let's be off to the Emerald Forest!" Shortly after Sapphire also questioned why he wanted to go the to Emerald Forest. He rolled his eyes at her questioning until he looked back on his info and noticed that it was actually Forever Fall that they had their initiation at. He realized this when he was looking up the article about the Titianite mine and noticed that it said Forever Fall. What had caught Gren's attention more however was that it was "Often used as the testing grounds for Beacon's Initiations", which Gren had associated with the Emerald Forest. Gren tried to play it cool and pretend he didn't mess that up.

"Titanite, Sapphire. A metal alloy that would allow even the weakest metals to become more durable without adding too much extra weight or mass. Since using the top shelf stuff might make this project even more expensive then me or Shiro can afford, we figured we could forage the stuff ourselves. That old mine we fought the big robot during our initiation was a titanite mine, but closed down due to a sudden surge of Grimm infesting the place, as well as the machines there going on a rampage. Admittedly, I don't know if we will find any Titanite there. We might come back empty handed! But, we don't know until we look, and even if we don't find anything, it'll be fun. I'm sure we could at least recycle something there anyways, plus clean up the grimm there. It'll be a community service! And ah, ahem, we just need to find an airship for Forever Falls as soon as possible."

Smooth like butter.

Putting his equipment away Gren walked over to his workbench were the God Eater laid in pieces. He vaguely remembered thanks to some of his recorded logs that during his lulls between trying to make that jetpack, he started working on the God Eater and trying to improve it. Mainly, he wanted to try to minimize it's bifurcation. While it was certainly awesome to switch between his Terror and Destroyer form, he felt it would be more useful if he has access to both forms at all times. That way he could chop, smash, shoot, and explode things simultaneously. Alas he hasn't really accomplished much since it took him a good few hours just to dissemble the damn thing. Fortunately putting it back together was much easier, and shorter then it took for him to put on clothes the God Eater was back together.

"Note to self: The God Eater is a really stupid and edgy name. Gods, this is why you don't let a teenager make creative decisions..." Gren chuckled to himself as he slung the giant weapon on his back. He turned to Shiro, Sangue, and Sapphire with a smirk on his face. "Meet me by the air docks in ten minutes! IT'S ADVENTURE TIME!" Gren grabbed another prototype jetpack from his worktable and went to one of the many holes in the roof, safely away from the others and anything that could be turned into shrapnel. Strapping the jetpack to his back he activated it, causing a sizable explosion that launched him through the hole of the roof and somewhere in the general direction of the dormitory.

"Food! Food!"

Scoot rapidly climbed around Cian's body, at first crawling into a pocket, then sitting on her shoulder, then perched on her head, before finally jumping off and running around her feet. He kept shouting for food around her before running off. However he did stop and look at Cian, shouting for her. "Food! Follow!" Scoot seemed to want Cian to follow him, mostly due to the experiments somewhat heightening his intelligence. Not only did Pop's experiments on him awaken Scoot's aura, but also increased his body's physical abilities and mental prowess. Somewhat anyways. Namely, Scoot was somewhat more omnivorous in the sense that he can eat a wide selection of meats, where most ferrets require freshly killed small vermin, or specialized ferret food. His intelligence, which not only allows him to become a more effective hunter, also allowed him to understand commands, orders, and recognize that it's far easier for him to get food if other people get it for him.

Scoot moved fast, but he did stop to shout for Cian to follow. He was heading towards the city of Vale.. Though a country ferret at heart, even Scoot knew what sort of glorious bounties were available in the city. Unlike Beacon where most prey did well to avoid, the city was crawling with all sorts of rats, moles, and other small creatures for Scoot to hunt. The only reason he didn't stay in the city was because he liked sleeping in Abel's bed. More importantly however, the city had delicious food that he simply couldn't get hunting. Stuff like fried chicken, which was horribly unhealthy for Scoot and would kill him if he was a normal ferret. But he wasn't, and he was going to enjoy every minute of it.

But while he was running, something else piqued Scoot's interest. He noticed a boy, a somewhat familiar face at Beacon, just hanging out. Scoot only vaguely remembered him, knowing that he's a student at Beacon. But so was Cian, and the whole reason he even took her here was because Scoot wanted Cian to get him food. So if he had this stranger, Jack, get him food too, that'll be more food! There was no way this could go wrong. "Food!" Scoot telepathically shouted to Cian and Jack. Jack would soon notice an albino rodent run up to him before stopping a few feet in front of him, a paw raised in the air as if waving at him. "Food! Follow!" Scoot proceeded to circle around Jack's feet, nimbly avoiding them in case he accidentally or intentionally tries to stomp on him, before running off a few meters away in the direction of the city. Adventure awaits.

Jack Orpheus

@suku@Lucius Cypher

The sky looked good today, though if there was any time Jack was just 'turned off', now would be that. Blankly looking to the sky as he sat at a small cafe's table, no one was around so no one minded.

"Food!"

"Yeah something to eat would be good right about now...", he responded. He didn't even notice these weren't his thoughts despite the difference in pitch. He didn't notice the small albino ferret sitting just a few feet from him,

"Food! Follow!", and the ferret was off.

"Yeah okay", he got up and kept going on along whatever direction he was looking at, which just happened to be towards the city, until after a few moments he properly woke up.

"Hey is that a ferret...?", he questioned. He'd forgotten what he was thinking about, whatever it was, it devolved into just a vacant stare, and now he found himself going to find lunch with a ferret. He noticed some footsteps behind him and it was Cian. She seemed to be following this ferret too, though she had more intent than he did.

"Cian. Did you get a pet ferret?", he asked.

Krysanthe let out a short laugh at Able's question and saying, "Certainly." and followed after Able at a even pace, the brisk walk between walking and jogging. The walk was surprisingly relaxing, the forest was remarkable even to an untrained eye and Krysthane didn't find the relative silence they traveled in odd at all. It was nice to do something that wasn't just relaxing but didn't make you feel like a bum as staying in bed all day did. It didn't take long for them to come across an abnormal obstacle however. A furrow through the earth, shockingly deep and wide. Krysanthe tilted her head a moment as she considered Able's question. "Well going around seems rather troublesome, I should think going across would be easiest." She looked at Able and shrugged, "Well for me at least, though if you can't manage I suppose I could always carry you across." Krysanthe said, flashing a smile as well speaking light-heartedly to indicate she was joking. Though she thought she probably could. Just a matter of lightening Able and herself then proceeding to more or less do what she did earlier, only going up instead of down. Easy enough.

Beryl Harken

Beryl sniffed and wiped away a tear before replying.

"Yeah, I guess I just had to get some of that out of my system. Uh...thank you for the sweater. Give me a moment and I'll dry it."

Pulling the garment in question off her shoulders, Beryl held it up with one hand and made a slow pulling motion with the other. Bit by bit the drops of water that had soaked into the fabric floated free. Luckily Luke's hoody had barely had time to get damp so, roughly third seconds later, the young Faunus tossed a small ball of water back into the pool and handed her friend his now quite dry garment.

@ Infirmary people, but mostly @Abillioncats

From the corners of her eyes, she noticed the people in the other beds waving at her, but she pretty much ignored them, because of cute.
Too much cute. Way too much.

Slowly she strode forwards, past all the beds except for the one, the cat faunus was hiding under her bed sheets in.
Gingerly, Skyra lifted the sheets. Carefully and slowly. It seemed the cat girl had been dressed, so, at least Skyra didn't have to be careful about uncovering the cat girl's body.

After Skyra managed to lift the sheets over the cat faunus' head, she had to squee, being overwhelmed by cuteness.
*Poooke*
Softly, Skyra poked the kitten's ears and giggled.
"Hi!", she greeted. "It's been way too long since I met another faunus of my species. Way too long!

"Oh, thanks."

It was a hoodie, but this wasn't the time nor place for semantics. Actually, for that matter, on the subject of time and place...

"It's no problem," I said, raising my hand to my mouth to cover the yawn that was once again coming on. "If you need to let more of it off, you can just let me know."

I accepted the newly dried hoodie with one hand, and in a supreme example of laziness, tossed it back to carry upon my shoulder. After all, it wasn't like I intended to wear it to bed. Apparently, with her reassurance that she was indeed fine again, my own tension had relaxed to the point where I was feeling ready to head back to my room and take another shot at sleeping.

I was no Ranma Saotome when it came to winning rematches, but...

"It's pretty late," I explained, half-turning away. "I should probably try and head back to bed for now, so..."

Er.

I can't help but feel like I'm sending some mixed messages. I was open to talk more, but also planning on going cocoon myself in my sheets...

My kingdom for something to help me think more straight, please.

Beryl Harken

Luckily for Luke, Beryl was on the losing side of a battle to keep from yawning. It had been a long day and her recent outburst of emotions had hardly done her any favors in the energy department.

Holding a hand over her mouth she surrendered to the yawn, her body taking in a huge gulp of the air her brain demanded. With a slightly embaressed glance at Luke she began drying her own sopping wet clothes. It may have been more on the warm side, but the way the wet clothes clung to her skin made the Faunus distinctly aware of the rather less warm ocean breeze.

"Don't mind me. I'll probably be turning in once I'm dry in any case."

It was safe under her sheets, they would never find her now! She could just stay under there till the embarrassment subsided and then-

The other cat Faunus pulled the sheets away! Emerald didn't have time to so much as protest as the other Faunus squeed and then proceeded to poke her ears, giggling as she did! This caused Emerald's ears to twitch reflexively as she squirmed a bit from the touch. o.o

"Hi!", she greeted. "It's been way too long since I met another Faunus of my species. Way too long!"

Emerald blinked, she certainly didn't expect this girl to just spontaneously come up to her and greet her like that, usually she was the one who did that!

"Uhhhhhhhh...Hi." Emerald finally responded, her cheeks still slightly rosy from her previous embarrassment. She went over in her head the ways she could continue this conversation with her fellow cat girl.

"Do you like cookies?" Emerald asked, then her eyes widened slightly as she realized just how hungry she was, she'd skipped straight to the food question!

You're suppose to introduce yourself first dumb dumb!

"I mean uh...my name is Emerald Felicia, what's yours?" Emerald was finding herself rather happy that this random person had shown up. Maybe she liked cookies and they could eat the cookies that Diamond brought while they talked and this and that and that and this. It wasn't like she had anything else to do at the moment anyway, other than being embarrassed about hugging a teacher out of the blue.
