Nice post, Merlin! Before I write into my next post, though, I should clarify a few things. Roanne's wings were put away as soon as she landed, so they're not out. And she got on the phone as soon as she disentangled herself from the demon rather than collapsed, which is where I'm going to pick up muh post.

Yeah, there are 2 gods. Aaurus who created Heaven and Hell and all of their inhabitants and Lucy with whom he shared his power later on. The event was celebrated with the creation of the Surface and humans.

So most people use "Oh Gods" instead of referring to just one. But some might play favourites since Lucy came later and she used to be a regular demon.

Yeah, I figured homeboy probably wouldn't be so into Lucy. She was a companion to him, not a God in the way that Aaurus was. As one of the OG angels, he just uses God.

Unless that's not kosher, in which case I'll change it.

@Wind WildI've never ONCE seen one of our character say Oh GODS, hop off me Wind XD I write for some of the most cynical and arrogant characters in the game, Lazarus doesn't even believe in gods.

@Howler, a little feedback.
You did very well with capturing the gist of the premise and making a character that fits perfectly (as did Fairess).
I love how casually cruel your character is, and yet he doesn't seem super high and mighty.
I think you do great in painting the picture around him to show what his life/world is about.

Overall, very impressed so far and thank you for joining us. ^^

Hey y'all. Ive been kind of absent minded about Essence so I'm going to step up my time here a bit. Wind has been doing awesome things in her life so I figure I can be here to entertain.

2. Writing

What is the impression of your characters (in this game) that you want your readers to come away with after reading your posts, and what do you do to convey it?

A two-parter, so sort of cheating, but you can always cheat back. XD

Shaylee- This character should come off as insecure, kind of spoiled, a little bratty, way too naturally skilled for her own good. That being said she should grow on you over time and you should like her as a sweet girl underneath the spoiled brat. As for how i convey it. Largely through her interaction with Lazarus and how she reacts to not getting her way or having his attention

Ian- Of all my characters Ian should feel like a man who has survived a mid life crisis . He's a wanna be dad but he should come off as a decent man with too many voices in his head. Not crazy mind you but strained. -Read my posts XD large parts of Ian's posts are his internal dialogue which should give you a window not only to what he's experienced but what he's experiencing

Lazarus- This one is hard. Lazarus should give you some insight into me personally. If I COULD be a necromancer i'd be Lazarus. That being said you should come away with the sense of a man who would really like to live quietly with his wife but keeps having that snatched from him. He also should come off as eccentric which given his penchant for running around shoe less and him being retired until the start of this season i think im doing alright. We'll see Lazarus is one of my most dynamic characters.
