@KoL@TheWindel@Lonewolf685So, I've said I have an Angelic Cheerleader in my character pipeline. My main thing stopping me from submitting her is that other than her abilities, she's still really boring one note "Hi I'm cheerful!".
Then I thought, why don't I start upgrading Miyu along the line's of Cheerleader abilities? Her only current spell has themes of unity and flow of power. And I've already completely reverted all the mech upgrades Miyu got by blowing up my mech before I could attune to it, so it's not like I'm overpowered at the moment.
So, for after this battle, before the next one, for the first spell in moving Miyu down Cheerleader Angel tree's abilities:
Circle of Harmonious Will: The mental version of Mantle of Unconquerable Sun, this spell "unifies" the "wills" of a number of willing participants, allowing them to communicate telepathically, even across planar barriers (but the spell is still directly dispellable, just throwing someone into another plane won't do the trick).
It also allows Miyu, but not other participants of the spell at the moment, to cast spells through people who are currently in it (so she can use Mantle to share damage or bring another person into the Circle, seeing that's her current spell list). Any members of the circle can cast spells on each other without side effects, the spells will work as intended, ignoring type differences. For example, if an angel member cast a heal on a zombie/demon, it would still heal, regardless of the fact that it should damage them.
The spell also enhances member's resistance to external mental control on three levels, one, it's a mental holy protection spell, buffing your resistance, two, it's allows you to share the mental load with other willing members of the Circle and draw upon their resistance as well, like Mantle does for physical trauma, and three, combined with Mantle, it allows you to bypass physical inhibitions to your nervous systems. For example, your spinal cord is broken, so you can't move your legs. Circle draws on your will, and Mantle bridges the gap, and sends the signals.
TL/DR:
Bunch of friends gain:
Telepathy
Enhanced Defense vs Mind based attacks
Miyu can cast spells on/through members of the Merry band, regardless of distance.
Members can cast spells on each other without side effects. Aka, an Angel Healing spell could heal a Demon or Undead.
That's a LOT of abilities for one spell, but I feel they're also fairly subtle abilities that aren't going to have that impressive an effect. Other than Telepathy, which basically just gives Angels an equivalent of the Machina's direct communication lines. And the type-ignore ability is totally because Miyu WILL be friends with all the factions someday. Despite repeatedly betraying them all. Somehow.
