"No no i think you should keep it,It is your armor after all...I don't even know what i would do with it" The king chuckled and then looking over to Madawc like he was going to say something but didn't."Very well with that you may leave but..i need to speak to your friend for a moment" The king of Bravado said now looking over to Madawc.

Xavier nodded keeping the armor he was going to give away and walking out of the room along with Bette with both of them bowing.

Madawc was kinda confused and sensed some sort of foul play possibly going on. He didn't kneel in front of the king, but stood tall as he was. With a loud voice revealing a small bit of an elevated annoyance level, he asked: "What is it ?"

"I need to speak to you my boy...i need your help and i was hoping you can help me?" The older man said looking down at him form this throne stroking his bead.The king was hoping that Madawc could help him and whatever the foul man needed he would be rewarded for what the king will task him with.

"What is it ?" Madawc sounded quite a bit annoyed, something which was in complete disregard of who he was talking to. It was a repetition of his former words. Hopefully this time the king would say something that provided more information than that he just needed help. "Which dragon am I going to slay for you ? Or..." The demon's voice became noticeably more sinister: "Has it something to do with the one who has just left the room ?"

The king had waited for when Xavier and Bette left the room and getting out of his throne and walking over to the demon,Of course he was careful not to being killed by him now standing in front of him."I need you to watch him for me...i have this feeling that he will betray me...and if he does anything unsavory towards our country then i want you to bring him here..." The king moving a bit close a still nervous look on his face."I will pay you a very handsome sum for him" He said softly.

"Define... 'unsavory'" Madwac replied, arranging for a very noticeable, artificial gap between these two words and looking at the king with his head partly lowered. His facial expression seemed interested, but also rather impish. "Also, may I ask why, if you're worried about him, you removed him from service right now."

The demon part of Madawc felt that the king was nervous - and he enjoyed it. The more human part tried to supress this joy, knowing that standing here required for some basic level of decency. "How handsome would this sum be ? And what are the risks ?"

"Behaviour that could cause the destruction of Bravdo and the allied nations wot our country,I believe that him and that woman are planning something to doom us all...being..a demon and that sort of thing" The king said now looking at him coughing a bit before speaking up once more to the demon.

"I will pay you 6000 gold pieces if he does anything treacherous to do with our nation and the safety of our people..." The king said looking around.

Madawc arched an eyebrow. Destruction ? Oh who didn't like destruction ? All a question of dosage... However, given that the king was talking about the entirity of Bravado and other nations, even the demon part, but especially the human part, could see that this could be an oversized risk.

"That woman ? What do you know about her ? And you know that Xavier has...undergone a transformation.. since he has met her ? And another thing... if I am gonna to keep pace with them and track them down, I need a much faster mount. Something that can actually carry me and if that's not possible, then a carriage or the like..."

"I have noticed something different firstly that he could talk and something i have noticed with you demons...your eyes..they seem to glow in a red hue..." The king said thinking of what else to say to the other demon."And yes we will equip you with the best armor,weapons and mounts that will help with your task" The king said finding it strange that he would trust a demon of all things.

"Alright..." Madawc said, crossing his arms in front of his breast. "Then lead me to your equipment and the horses now." A smirk appeared on his face. Finally somthing interesting to do - and something that actually had the potential to nourish his own curiosity.

And the king did so now motioning for him to follow him as they moved into the armory firstly looking though armor and weapons,"Pick anything that you may like..." The king said now thinking that perhaps they would did a bit more time looking though horses for the fat demon that would suit him.

Madawc proved himself not to be especially picky. He certainly had acquired an eye for quality over the years, the demon part adding a considerable amount of knowledge to that. However form followed function, so the pieces he chose were very very good, but hardly featuring any decoration.

He noticed the king becoming a bit thoughtful. "What is it ? You're concerned about something ?"

"Nothing it's nothing...You would think me of a old fool for saying it" The king said smiling softly wiping some sweat off his forehead as the demon picked the right armor and the king would then lead him to the stables to pick out his preferred horse.He was concerned on what the outcome of his choices would be since he treated Xavier like his son but deep in his heart the young man felt different.

Madawc put on his new, heavy armor before following the king. Not doing so beforehand would be pretty pointless since he intended to actually use that new equipment. The stables were very large - not really a big surprise. The question was if the king would have a suitable mount. Madawc placed himself on the first one they encountered, not caring much about anything. The result was pretty much the same as with his old one.

The king was a bit nervous as the workers there we're quite nervous as the big demon was getting on the horses,The horses buckled form his weight as the king and the workers helped the demon on the many horses in the stable.

"What are you doing ?" Madawc got pretty annoyed by the workers trying to lend him a helping hand when mounting. It was completely unnecessary from his point of view. "Do you think I'm not able to get up there myself ? Do you want to see how strong and physically able I am ?" His words were directed partly at the workers themselves, but also partly at the king. After all he was the man who had the authority to give undeniable instructions here.

The king motioned for the workers to move away form the demon as the two men backed away looking a bit nervous, "They we're just trying to help you sir...but i do not want to anger you" He said looking even more nervous then before.

@Eviledd1984 Madawc sighed and waved his hand in some sort of half-hearted apology. "Sorry... I'm just a bit sensitive today..." Of course it was a lie - he was always quite sensitive, but who was the king that he needed to know ? He tried out the next mount with the same result as before. "Don't you have anything stronger ?"
