Not going to work on making this fancy just yet, but I'm gathering materials and stuff and may even up date this interest check! Also, this is just a new account - I have been on this site for 3-4 years. ^.^
The setting revolves around a semi-floating Queendom (ruled primarily by their queen) called 'Azure's Gate.' In this Queendom, there is a queen, a king, their 7 knight commanders - whom act as generals and advisors to the crown - then the nobles, knights, and commoners. Players will be able to apply for (6 / 7) knight commander positions, even the queen and king themselves, any of their children, and any of the nobles or a "regular" knight. Now while there is an over-arching conflict and plot to drive the story forward, this is just as much about that as it is about how our characters interact. How the commanders see each other, command their knights, how the king and queen command them and how nobles see these figures.
Furthermore, the Queendom is coming under a mysterious magical attack of sorts. Seemingly random people are being 'infected' and turning completely mad. Their eyes turned black and they start attacking everyone, gaining an unnatural strength to their attacks as well (such as punching through brick walls). No one knows the cause or source though and it's become such an issue that the knight commanders are directly being ordered to look into it (by whomever plays the queen or king). Since it's late at night and I am running this a little bit more free-form than usual... there's the general idea of this role-play. As I get more interest, I'll make an OOC. ^.^

Azure's Gate is named for it's castle that sits on a cliff, high in the sky within the mountains. Like the other 12 castles and holdings, Azure's Gate houses the legendary Libra Aura Stone. Within this particular ruling, the queen is the monarch while a king is to act in her stead as her husband. Thus the princesses are the ones who are crowned while princes usually act as advisors, military leaders, or see themselves off to magi guilds. Azure's Gate is famous mostly for housing the seven Knight Commanders, a practice that is only seen in a few other rulings, though not to the same extent. What makes the queendom unique is that the knight commanders serve both as absolute military generals (aside from the queen herself) and as advisors to the crown.
• Knights: Knights of Azure's Gate differ in the fact that not all of them are primarily melee combatants. Many of them serve stealth divisions or magical ones as well as utility. However every knight is required to know basic weaponry of their choice, be it from the spear to the sword.
• Knight Commanders: What makes the knight commanders unique is their special abilities. They can come in the form of unusual magics, artifacts, or extreme talents. They are the best of the best and the only one who can even match their skill is the royal family (but only if they acquired these skills themselves, not all royal family members are as powerful). The commanders themselves decide what sort of knights work under them, as well as the queen.
• Queen: The queen of Azure's Gate is the final ruler of all decisions. Everyone from the king to the lowest commoners follows her directions. She also has the sacred duty of guarding the Aura Stone.
• Aura Stone: There is 13 stones in all, one for each zodiac sign. They provide unique protections to each ruling and guarding them are seen as the divine duties of it's rulers. Only priests, rulers, and approved guests are allowed within their temples (such as knight commanders of Azure's Gate). There are many writing that they are the keys to heaven and thus the Goddess as tasked humankind to keeping them in check.
• The Goddess: While not the only deity to exist, she is the Over-Deity, the one that created all and governs all of creation. As such, she is very mysterious and distant, but one thing is for absolute certain - she has made direct commands to guard and protect the aura stones. Why the stones exist at all and why they need protecting is up to discussion.
Here is a template. Try not to post any character until I get the OOC up and have my girl posted, so everyone understands what I'm looking for!
