I got more CSes from people not in the interest check. Lol I might be putting the main game up sooner. If I hit 7 people, then I am putting it up.

Yes, I noticed that Gordon is an NPC, but only after I had finished creating the CS. So @Holy Soldier, I kindly request that I be allowed to play him.

@HostileYou still have one more point to distribute in your stats. You only used 4 points. Be sure to fix that. You can have Gordon Freeman. Your profile is approved just don't forget that one point.

You know, I've been hearing a lot of Doomguy being thrown around, first from Spinosaurs and then Hostile. I'd actually really like to be Doomguy in the RP. I would play him, but I think Spino is going to take the bait, plus I tried playing him in another RP. I think I did a good job, but then again, I'd like someone to play him...

Btw, it would also make a good duo for Samus. Samus and Doomguy... badasses that shoot aliens and demons n' shit XD

Would Doom Slayer and Doom Guy be two separate entities? They don't have the same story at all, really.

No, I believe they are the same person. Doom Slayer is just what the demons call Doomguy back in the day, before they trapped him. He was then found by the UAC and so on.

But didn't the litch or whatever give him his armor while he was trapped in hell? That wouldn't make sense if it was his uniform in the first games.

Well... we aren't sure as of now. Truthfully, we don't know that much about Doomguy's personal life before the events of the games. The litch person you speak of, it's actually known as the "the wretch", probably a traitor to Hell and the Demons.

However, while the demons' scriptures claim that the armor was made in hell, closer examination reveals English text and even logos for human manufactures, suggesting the armor was actually made on Earth, but somehow came into hell and was perhaps given to the Doom Marine then.

Again, we simply don't truly know at this stage. Perhaps if a sequel is made, we can get more info. This is all that we really know of the Praetor suit as of now.

Edit: It could also be the same Doomguy character we see in the original games, since according to texts he has "traveled through time and space", but again, it is simply not confirmed. For now, I think the two are the same person.

I've heard that theory. Not sure if I believe it or not. Sounds plausible, though.

Plausible yes. Confirmed? Not yet. We need a second game filled with enough backstory to connect the dots and confirm Doom Marine's origins.

Still can be used as a valuable character for a RP though lol

Nah I'm good. As much as I want him, I want to be more diverse with my next character.

But speaking of characters, what have you decided to choose?

Not sure if I'll have the dedication to join, but if I do, probably Doom Slayer. You?

@Aether Spawn GOTTA GO FAST

@Lmpkio I believe that all of Doom's protagonists are actually separate entities, except the one in the first two games.

There may be "3" different characters actually.

The 1st comes from the original 2 Doom games, yes, but some assumptions say that its also synomomous with Final Doom and Doom 64 (even though they're mostly "remastered copies for the N64 and Playstation games, but do have some evidence of story continuity with the first 2. Do not quote me on this).

The 2nd is from Doom 3.

And yes, the third is from current DOOM, who according to speculation, may well be the ORIGINAL Doomguy himself if it becomes true.

There's also a 4th unofficial character for some Doom RPG that I think serves as an advertisement for Doom 3, who's name could be B.J. Blazkowicz (yes, the same/similar one from Wolfenstein). Appearantly, the website for Doom RPG does state that the player in Doom RPG is the same character from Doom, Doom II, and Doom 3, but is unclear, with some speculation even seeing 3 as a prequel to the first 2 games.

Again, we just have no fuckin' idea if the Doom Slayer is actually separate in AUs or actually one person traveling through space in time. It's confusing IK, I'm just using the official DOOM wiki at this point.

@Lmpkio Correct. Doom 3 effectively retconned the first two games, then DOOM retconned that. But I think we all agree that the Doom Slayer is the most badass one yet.

Doom 64's protagonist may also be a different one, and Brutal Doom's one, who probably isn't canon.

Oh the 4th one is most definitely the best out of the others.

Doom 64 could be, who knows. Also Brutal Doom is a MOD for the Doom 1 and 2 games, which basically makes all your gore fantasies come to life right before your very eyes :P
